Briggs & Stratton Contact Numbers and Departments

First identify the product. An engine installed in another manufacturer’s lawn mower is different from a Briggs & Stratton-branded generator or an order placed through its online parts store. Giving the product type and seller at the start of a call helps the receiving team route your inquiry.

The support directory lists generator and pressure-washer telephone hours as Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. The online store lists Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. These are separate schedules; they should not be presented as universal corporate office hours.

How to Escalate a Briggs & Stratton Complaint

The following steps are suggestions for preparing and following up on a product or service concern. They do not guarantee coverage, a refund or a particular response time.

  1. Identify the responsible business. State the engine brand, equipment brand, seller and service provider. Explain whether the concern is about the engine, another machine component, installation, a repair or a purchase transaction.
  2. Gather the records. Have the model identification, purchase date, receipt, dealer work order and previous case number available. For a generator, include its model and serial number and the installer’s details.
  3. Describe the problem and requested resolution. Explain when it began, what assessment has already occurred and whether you need diagnosis, a repair update, a written coverage explanation or an order correction.
  4. Ask for further review when necessary. If a dealer and manufacturer give different explanations, ask each to state its position in writing. Request the applicable warranty provision or the specific information needed to reconsider the case.
  5. Follow up with a concise timeline. Keep the same reference number and summarize the unresolved question. If contacting corporate headquarters, include the product team’s or dealer’s earlier response so the company can see what still needs attention.

For a delay, ask whether the case is waiting on diagnosis, approval, parts or scheduling. Those are different problems with different next steps. Request a realistic update date and a contact who can explain changes, rather than relying on a general statement that the equipment is “being handled.”

Product safety: If equipment appears unsafe, stop using it and contact an appropriate service professional. Follow the operator’s manual. This corporate contact guide does not provide repair instructions or replace emergency assistance.

Briggs & Stratton Warranty and Dealer Questions

The official warranty page directs owners to the documentation supplied with their product or its operator’s manual to determine coverage. There is no single warranty term that should be applied to every Briggs & Stratton engine, generator or other product.

Briggs & Stratton states that warranty repairs must be performed by an authorized dealer or installer. Before arranging service, confirm that the business handles your product category and can evaluate the specific warranty involved. Ask about any inspection, pickup, transport or diagnostic charge before agreeing to the work.

Keep the estimate separate from the final invoice. If coverage is declined, ask what finding led to that decision and how it relates to the applicable terms. Useful records can include a dated receipt, maintenance history, photographs and the technician’s written diagnosis. These records help explain the case without assuming that every failure is automatically covered.

Some engines may fall under the equipment manufacturer’s warranty arrangement. Tell support which mower, pressure washer or other machine contains the engine. A machine brand’s customer team and the engine manufacturer may need to clarify which component each handles.

Parts Orders and Equipment Identification

Before ordering a replacement part, distinguish the engine identification from the equipment identification. A model number on the mower’s frame may describe the mower, while the engine has its own identifying information. Use the official manual and parts resources to find the correct documentation.

For a store-order concern, have the order confirmation, part number, quantity and delivery information ready. Explain whether the part received differs from the order, arrived damaged or does not fit the intended equipment. Include a photograph of the packaging label when useful, but share transaction details privately with support.

The official store maintains its own return policy. Review the instructions and request any required authorization before shipping an item back. Do not assume that a product warranty claim and a parts-store return use the same address or approval process.

If another retailer or marketplace sold the part, begin with that seller for shipment, payment or return assistance. Ask Briggs & Stratton technical support about product identification when needed, while keeping the seller’s order issue clearly identified.

Briggs & Stratton Corporate Office Questions

What is the Briggs & Stratton HR phone number?

A dedicated public HR or payroll number was not verified. The corporate switchboard should not be labeled as an HR line. Applicants can use the company’s official careers site; employees should use their workplace-provided HR contact for employment records or payroll questions.

Is there a dedicated corporate complaint telephone number?

The company number is published, but it was not verified as a separate complaint department. Starting with the appropriate product team creates a more useful record. If the matter remains unresolved, ask how to request management review and retain the reference number.

Where should I mail a corporate letter?

The company publishes P.O. Box 702, Milwaukee, WI 53201-0702, as its corporate mailing address. Address the letter to the relevant department and include copies rather than irreplaceable originals. Confirm different instructions before sending a physical product, warranty item or legal document.

Does the headquarters repair lawn mowers?

A corporate office address does not establish a public repair counter. Use the authorized dealer locator and confirm that the selected location handles your product. Arrange service before transporting equipment, particularly when a machine is large or requires specialized handling.

Briggs & Stratton Generator

December 13, 2022

We have ordered your generator in Sept 2019 and the generator has not worked properly since. We had the Case Electric come in and replace motor but that didn’t help. Our client is a special needs client and depends on this generator working properly. I called your office and was told that you will only deal with Case Electric, who said that you do not communicate with them either. We are asking for a replacement of this generator; Serial#1024953228. Model#040574-GEN2000, HGS, ALUM B&S. installed at Fairfield, CA . Further action will be taken if we do not hear from you.
