  1. the kost tire shop in wysox pa has got to be the absolute slowest and not giving a damn shop in the country. had an appointment at 12 noon today so I took vehicle up and dropped it off and told them what I was there for,mount and balance 4 tires. went down to check on in it and it was in the shop with tires off but the tech decided to go to lunch in the middle of a tire job. finally get down to pick up vehicle at 245 and they are just finishing . go in the office and I am completely ignored. how in the the hell does it take 2 hrs and 45 minutes to mount and balance 4 tires. thank GOD there is a jack Williams tire here now. kost sucks

    1. i am 77 years old and have asthma. I have been a Kost Tire customer 15 years in NEPA Today i had a 8 am appointment at Kost Tire in Honesdale Pa. I was the only customer in there and the seating section was over 30 feet from the front desk that had plexi glass partitioning. I lowered my mask to breath better and took my inhaler to help me. Technician behind counter told me that i have to leave and i told him that i was asthmatic and if anyone,customers come in i would put mask on. He insisted that i leave and i did. My last purchase with Kost last month was $862.

    2. my name is g sottiriou,today i had a 8 am appt at Kost tire in Honesdale Pa. i am 77 years old,a veteran and a customer of Kost tire 15 years,my last purchase was last month for $862. 4 tires.i also am asthmatic. After giving my keys for tire rotation,and i was the only customer there and seating over 30 feet from the front desk which was enclosed with plexiglass for technicians. i lowered my mask to take my inhaler to breath better one of the 2 technicians behind the plexiglass desk told me that i have to leave if icdo not pull mask up. I said there are no customers in here and no one within 30 feet now,that i have asthma and if a customer walks in i would pull mask up. I was told to leave and i did. i have never had this happen to me in Kost tire prior ,a heavy handed gestapo order. if they were a restaurant everyone's mask would be down so as to eat. No customers but me in this Kost tire office and no compassionate accommodation.

  2. Horrible service. I have been there twice in the last two weeks. I made appointments both times and they have no record of it. I expressed I needed the vehicle back quickly and they said no problem. It took them 5 hours to put snow tires on. I will never return to any Kost ever again. The mechanics and people at the front desk are extremely rude. Worst experience with a shop ever. This is the one in North Syracuse, NY. Absolute morons and no regard for anyone's time. Why make appointments if they cannot simply record that down?

  3. The place sucks and rips people off.

    Got 4 tires from them. For that they give you free wheel alignment and tire balance. After they were done putting my tires on they told me that my (forget the part name) were completely shot and needed to be replaced before performing the free wheel alignment and balance. Of course i didn't let them. I went to GMC with my car a week later and they told me the parts are completely fine and did the wheel alignment for me. They said on my model GMC the alignment is a little more of a pain but probably why Kost didn't want to do it. Never going to them again.

    I was also there the one time paying a bill and heard the mechanic tell someone on the phone "your rotors are shot"..i could hear the guy on the phone say "i just got those put on 2 weeks ago"...the mechanic had nothing to say, put the phone down and said "i can't deal with this guy"...busted.

    Unless you need simple stuff like tires put on, avoid the place. Heard nothign but bad things from other places that I trust like they spray dirty oil on shocks and tell you that your shocks are leaking and you need new ones.

    Scammers. Some news station needs to do an undercover investigation on them

  5. Johnson City NY location (Reynolds RD) was kind enough to blindside my mother with $1000 worth of nonsense when all she needed were her winter tires put on... I live nearly 200mi away - guess I should have been with her...

  7. On Wednesday June 8th I went to Kost Tire in Milford PA for a 9am appointment. I arrived at 8:52 and was out of there at 11:30. When I asked what was taking so long and if my Truck was ready they told me they had to go to the dealership to get the oil filter they did not have mine in stock for the Toyota Tundra. The manager did try talking to me and offering me a Free oil Chang eon my next visit that I did not want to wait around again for another oil change.
    Then a couple of says later my oil light comes on and my husband checked the oil. Well its now the 13th of June and to our surprise there is no Oil on the Truck!! We contacted Kost Tire immediately they wanted us to bring it in to put oil in. We told them no we wanted our Dealership to go over the Truck inspect and make sure there are no damages done from not having any Oil in it. The Manager there Dominick stated that Kost Tire would be held responsible for any damages to our vehicle and they would send someone out right away. So they sent the mechanic out with a man named Anthony and they looked and saw there was no oil and wanted to put oil in the truck and be done with the issue.
    We are now trying to reach the regional manager and rectify the situation because as of now nothing has been done by standard protocol.

  8. Purchased 2 tires about a month and a half ago from the Forest City,PA location. I had to take them back the next week to be re-balanced. I have since purchased new wheels and tires. The problem is that the Kost workers put the lug nuts on soo tight that they cannot be removed. I used an impact gun, a breaker bar and finally a breaker bar with a 5 ft cheater pipe and all I did was destroy a lug nut. I now have to leave for Massachusets and hope that i do not get a flat or anything as it is Sunday and Kost isn't open to fix the problem.

    I will be seeing them when I get back this week and they WILL FIX THE PROBLEM AND REPLACE ANY DAMAGED LUG NUTS OR STUDS.

    This had been the last chance I was willing to give them as the last 2 vehicles that I had them align wore tires at an extremely fast rate.

    It took me 20 minutes and a tape measure to fix their alignment!

  9. Your location at Wilkes Barre Twp., Blvd. Has always been very good to me. Brian is an excellent manager. Recently I have $900 worth of Goodyear F1 tires installed on my Mercedes Benz Wagon. They began to leak almost immediately. This is my second set of these tires and never had much trouble with them. The resulting cause o f the leaking tires was that the technician did not remove the decals form the bead of the tire preventing an airtight seal on the rim. I drove 1,600 miles on these tires with incrrect tire pressure after inflating them twice on my own. Brian saw to it that the problem was solved, by overseeing the process. Brian is an excellent manager, but the techs should take a little time and ensure that the tires are mounted properly and safely. I have children in the car at all times, and I expect to have tires that will hold air and not risk a failure.

  10. we went to the Eynon shop for a over heating problem. Before looking at it they had me fill out a finance form. Should have known better. Then they tell me my car needs a whole new engine for about $3,000. No wonder they wanted a finance form, they must have had a slow day and decided to hit up the first senior citizens with a ridiculous repair job.
    Took the car to my local mechanic and all it needed was a new radiator, not an engine. What a rip off! We always had tires and small repairs done there but never again.

  11. Your Exeter PA. Center hired a bunch of monkeys with hammers to work on vehicles,and why do they have 2 managers to run one store sure doesn't make anything go any faster. Always looking for something else wrong to make that extra buck.this is my last time as a customer. NEVER AGAIN.!!!!

  12. I just wanted to comment about a great experience with the Lewisburg, Pa. location on 8/12/19. We were a group of 4 motorcycles and traveling through the area when one of our bikes got a flat tire. Kost Tire was a local facility and welcomed us in and recognized our need for a tire service. Although they do not service motorcycles and motorcycle tires, our need was just for a valve stem replacement and they were awesome at letting us have some shade so we could pull the tire and replace the valve stem. We had our owns tools with us, but needed the valve stem and to break the bead on the tire to change it. Their kindness and willingness to help was greatly appreciated. They were having a corporate visit at the time we stopped and being from the automotive business myself, I know the pressure of a corporate visit and wanting to make sure everything is picture perfect during these visits. Our stop was unexpected and they folks here could not have been nicer or more helpful. Our trip could have ended very badly without their help and their commitment to customer safety and satisfaction was greatly appreciated! A special thank you to Hugh Coates who was covering from another store was great to deal with! Thanks Hugh and the team!!!

    KOST, FOREST CITY STORE: We got a quote to get our have our winter tires mounted on our car. The tires were from our old car and we told them that on the phone. They quoted us $10.95/tire. Then my wife picks it up and they charged her $15.95/tire. So I called and spoke to Ralph. He said , "We we can take the tires off on monday." So they lied to us on the phone and ripped us off on the price. Even after I called, this guy didn't want to do anything. He even told my wife that "It all depends on the situation". Maybe he should get out of the business? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LIES! WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! STAY AWAY!
    User's recommendation: STAY AWAY.
    Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. The management from the Clarks Summit store called my wife, apologized and I went back to the Forest City store and they refunded the difference of $20.00
    The management of Kost Tire called my wife, apologized and told her to go back to the store for a refund.I went back to the store and spoke to Ralph and he refunded the difference in price that was quoted and the price that we paid.And this wasn't about the $20.00. This was about a company NOT standing by the price that was quoted.I would suggest that if anyone has any issues with any of their branches, do not hesitate to contact the management on their website to get a resolution.We thank the management for resolving this situation in a timely fashion.Thank you Kost Tire and Muffler

  14. Sad to see so many negative reviews here. Perhaps satisfied customers just don't think about saying nice things.
    I have been dealing with the Kost Tire store in Forest City for several years now. I find them to be informative and efficient. Tim, the manager, always takes time to explain what needs to be done and to answer my questions. Just wanted to say THANKS!
