Koa in SLC is the worst
THE KOA IN MARBLE NORTH CAROLINA IS NOT STATE APPROVED I HAVE BEEN A CAMPER THERE FOR MONTHS I AND ANOTHER CAMPER HAS WITNESS DUMPING OF SEWER LESS THAN 50 FEET FROM THE VALLEY RIVER WHERE FAMILYS FISH AND KIDS PLAY IN THIS RIVER WE ARE MOVEING TO ANOTHER LOCATION CUZ OF THIS HAZZERDNESS TO THE PUBLIC AND THE HEALTH WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE AND FAMILYS THAT STAY THERE I WILL NOT STAND BY AND LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS I HAVE FOLLOWED THE PROPARE CHANNELS TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST THIS KOA
Stayed at KOA Flagstaff, AZ, first time at KOA and it will be my Last !! What a dump, I have 20 ft trailer , spot I was assigned was between two trailers , these trailers have not moved in years, flat tires ,trash underneath them, truck tires piled along side of them , sheets on windows, auto parts scattered around, disgusting, behind me was a trailer park, the trailers looked even scarier than the ones next to me. this place is an absolute DUMP, I did not feel safe here with my 3 grandkids, we booked for 3 nights and left after 1 night ,you would be better off in a Walmart parking lot, and probally safer.
Stayed over the weekend at Mackinaw city Koa. My family and many other family's we know have been staying there every labor day weekend for the last 30 plus yrs. The Koa this yr however gained a new owner over the winter his name is Doug. Doug was extremely rude to my family and several other family's. The staff that works there has no idea what they are doing, and are very disorganized. They over charged us at check in 3 times, this guy went as far as taking a customers deposit for a site they had reserved last yr and giving the site it to one of his family members and telling the customer they will have to move or go somewhere else. Evry interaction with Doug we were treated very poorly as if we were not a valued customer and talking to us or anybody for that matter was a waste of his time. I've never been treated so poorly at a koa. My family and about 9 other groups that stay labor day weekend are not staying at the Mackinaw city Koa again. And from what I saw that number will probably only grow with they way Doug conducts him self and how rude he is
We are true KOA customers because we expect a good clean site when traveling all day, when we arrived at KOA Amarillo We were so disgusted, That place needs a lot of rock on the roads and the parking spaces. We had to do 3 mph because of all the pot holes mainly on the main road. Our sight was so muddy we trashed our rig and truck. I had to get out a hose and wash all the mud off, I was told it was because they had 3 inches of rain. We left in the AM and in was still a mud fest no drainage at all, The roads need lots of rock and grading, I had to kneel in the mud water to undo my JT Strong Arms. We are at KOA Sallisaw today they had 4 inches of rain and its dry. The owner told me he puts out gravel once a month and grades it. He showed me his big rock pile he had on hand. I recommend more time be put on the roads to protect our hard earn investments which are $100 of thousands of dollars, we also work hard to keep our investments clean. I have plenty of pictures which I plan on sending to KOA Corporate, I will never go back
we go cross country twice a year to visit family. we have stayed in KOAs across the country. There is a very nice KOA in Lincoln NE, clean and helpful and polite owners, just the way you'd like a place to be. However, I have also stayed in the worse KOA on the planet too. Just out side Huntington WV. Stayed in a small cabin with a sorry excuse of a air conditioner, a 5 min walk to the bathrooms (a building surrounded by RV's spots rather than non-restroom cabins or tent sites)The pond out the front steps was a strange polluted green-gray color and marked off-limits, the view out our back window was of the park's "bone" yard; a collection of old or broken trailer and facility equipment. The "bonus" of staying there was to wake up to ants all over our cabin, in our bags and clothes and crawling on the outside of our bedding. The people who ran the place were rude and defensive and asked a higher price for staying there than at other KOAs. AVOID this KOA.
We were campers at the Virginia Beach VA, KOA, With the charges of $68.94 a night, Minus our koa discount. We spent $212.20 for the worst lot of all campgrounds we have been in. We choose KOA as we expect them to be a higher grade campgrounds. They had all sorts of activities for children. But mud lots. We were in a low lot with no gravel. The internet didn't work. The water hardly worked such low pressure. We tried to get out of camper and you needed boots after the rain. We spoke to the management when we left. Telling them don't put anyone else on that lot. It needs major work. This campground has no pavement or very little if any gravel on lots. The manager told us we should have come in. When you are only there for 3 days. We didn't want to have to load everything up and move. So she blamed us for the issue. We were going to renew our KOA membership. But for your prices and poorly maintained campgrounds. We will pass on all KOA from now on. Thanks Henry and Karen
