The kangaroo store on green valley road in Greensboro NC takes people money off their card and does not replace it. the manager gets missing when you try to call to speak with them about the refund and does not want to give a refund. this store and company has definitely lost a great customer and probably future service from them. They have been rude with this process and not once have I spoken with a manager yet since they took my money off my card. fraudulent store and not very friendly at all.
I had the same problem at a Kangaroo Station in Myrtle Beach. Their reply is just wait a week or so, they will put it back on your card. They didn't. Go back they blurt out a number to call. Call that number and leave the information they request and nobody calls back. I'm beginning to wonder how many times this happens and how much money they have stolen from customers??

I went into the Kangaroo station on US 231 south (church st) today in Murfreesboro Tn. to cash in 3 lottery tickets. Pauline waited on me and was not a very pleasant person to have to converse with. In fact, she didn't converse at all unless she had to. I failed to scratch off the entire number on my lottery card and so she had to do it and I think that made her mad. I apologized twice because I had scratched the left side of card and not the right. After she scratched it off without a word mind you, I said thank you. When she gave me my money I told her I wanted to purchase another card. I gave her the number and said last card on top left. She said "Las Vegas" and I stepped to the left and said "yes that's it. Again no comment. When my transaction was complete, I said "Thank You" and left. Still no comment. No thanks for stopping by or anything. If she had not scanned my numbers on bottom of card, I would have asked for cards back and said "I will just go to another store where my business is appreciated." I kept telling myself maybe she was having a bad day or had heard bad news, so I just left never to return. No matter what her circumstances she should appreciate customers. She needs a course in customer service.
Good evening, It's hard to read the above comments, sounds like you have some housekeeping to do. I however, am writing with a compliment. I went to the Kangaroo Express at SCHwy 278 and I-95 on the morning of Thursday, the 19th of November. I began to fill my tank with gas and walked into the store/McDonalds. My car has NEVER had a problem shutting off the fuel pump when my tank is full (it hasn't since this event either), but this day the fuel just continued to pour out and onto the ground. One of your employees, Christina, caught what was happening and ran to my car to shut off the pump. Sadly she slipped in the fuel and got it on her clothes, skin and possibly her eyes. Another employee (I didn't catch her name) told Christina to go to the ER while her and I spread absorbent on the ground to clean up the mess. I wanted you to know that Christina acted promptly and professionally despite having fuel on her. Needless to say, I felt awful about the event. 1. you should never leave a pump unattended. That is unlawful as it states this on the side of any gas pump... (also including turning off your engine in vehincle, no cell phones, even tells you to discharge your self of static charges)2. There is a Emergency Cut Off Button... as its for shutting off fuel that can be dangerous... it seem that kangaroo does not tell there employees how to be safe around fuel...
I just came from my local store #0482 here in Little River SC. and need to comment about the worker running the register. A woman was waiting on customers while listening to a quite loud un-censored rap station. The vulgar language was being broadcast throughout the store. I have an extensive C-store background and would never allow such 'music' in one of my locations. I do hope that the regional manager has a frank discussion with the manager and also the employee. My husband went into the Kangaroo Gas staion in Charlotte, NC in front of Walmart, paid for 10.00 worth of gas and realizes as soon as he walked out the door and looked up he had given the attendent the wrong pump no#. He immediately came back in without getting in line and advised he gave the wrong pump no#. The attendent told him a customer if you come in here and give the wrong pump no# that's on you, someone has pumped the gas on the pump no# you gave me. No wanting to cause a scen my husband left the gas station without his gas of course or money back. I follow up with the corp office and was advised well there is nothing else that could have been done. I can honestly say with over 20 yrs. experience in customer service I can not image telling a customer " If you come in here and give the wrong pump that's on you". Needless to say they have lost us both as customers and I will share my story with others. I did leave out he asked for the manager the attendent stated manager's not here they will be her in the morning and kept waiting on customers as if he wasn't there. WOW !!!!
I am a postal employee in Daytona beach fla. we gas up our trucks at the corner of mason and Bill France at one or your stores you just redid . while there most of us buy other things. I alone spend a few Hundred a year plus what the post office spends on gas. Sometimes I just get Ice today I was told even with our own cup you want .64 cents for ice. One of the employees that works at store #3849 on San José blvd in Jacksonville fl. Is very rude and unprofessional will talk rudely on the phone in front if you while doing the transaction and when you complain to the manager about how rude she is the manager will tell you they are sorry for what happened and continue to employ this very rude associate now even after not wanting to go there no more from such a bad experience she told my boyfriend he's not allowed in the store because I was outside in my car and also accuses my roommate of stealing but has no proof just slanders people. I am saddened to know that even with video evidence they continue to employ such unprofessional rude people that made me feel so nervous from screaming at me.
My family does a lot of business with the Kangaroo/Huddlehouse in Senatobia MS right off Interstate 55 since we live outside the city limits and my husband works for Senatobia Schools. I work nights, so when I drove from Memphis, I met my husband for breakfast at the Huddlehouse. I was too tired to drive home and my husband left his truck in the parking lot. When we returned this evening to pick up his truck, a tow truck was loading my husband's truck. We were notified that a 2 hour parking limit had been placed on the property. We were told that signs were in place notifying customers of the new policy. Like I said earlier, we have done business with this Kangaroo for years. The signs were noted only after being pointed out. The signs are on the perimeter of the property and if you park in the middle with a full lot, the signs are not visible. This kangaroo is a TRUCK STOP. Do they tow truckers that have parked longer than 2 hours? Kangaroo/Huddlehouse in Senatobia, MS right off Interstate 55 will no longer receive our family's business and we will make sure that this incident will be passed around by word-of-mouth!

I frequent this store and this is the first I've run into her (Contessa) on late night shift. I stood in front of the cash register ( one with the ATM Pin pad) and was immediately greeted with a hostile comment " What made you walk to that register over there" Didn't you just see this customer purchase something here. She referred to the one that looks like the special register for Gas purchases, the one with one ATM pin pad or opening to place items on the couter...Whether it was the wrong register or not, I should not be talked to like this as a customer. She demanded that another employee take care of it " Please check him out". I stated that I walked here to purchase items because I'm a customer and asked if her attitude is always this bad. She seemed unaware that her attitude is completely wrong.Being of a specific skin-color does not give anyone a license to act " Unprofessional".

I went to the Kangaroo in Soddy Daisy TN, located on Montlake Rd ((store #3575)). I'm a daily customer so I know the employees by name. I attempted to cash in my lottery tickets, just to purchase more tickets, an I also informed the cashier of this. I won/received $23 from my scratch-offs, purchased more, & while I scratched them I also showed him a ticket that I won $30 on & told him I'd cash it in if I didn't win on the new ones I'd just purchased. Needless to say, after I won on 3 of the tickets, presented them to the same cashier (ab 4-5 mins later) & he informs me that he already shut the lottery down for the night......! SERIOUSLY?! How rude was that? This man could have @ least asked if I was done with lottery, or informed me that he was shutting it down ((30 minutes earlier than any other kangaroo in the city))! This was TOTALLY unacceptable & this guy shouldn't EVER be responsible for running the store, by himself!!

I moved to the North Hickory NC area 4 months ago. I live one block away from the Kangaroo Express store #3958. I own a business and purchase a lot of fuel.I was in the store on 3/6/16 trying to fuel my truck with a business debit card. The pump referred me to see the clerk. He said their server was down and they can't read cards. This is the 3rd time it has happened. 7 out of 9 times at the store trying to buy fuel, the receipt paper is empty at the pump. My 68 year old mother walked down to the store on cannon blv here in shelbyville,TN. She only had pennies to pay with and your employee refused to except the currency. United States law states that no company can refuse legal tender. Your employee broke the law last night and by doing so discriminated against my elderly mother. This individual is very lucky I was not able to be there or else I would have called the police and held him and your company accountable for his actions. He represents your firm and even though you may not desire to except pennies the law is the law. I will be speaking to a lawyer about this matter because the law was broken and your company has violated the law. Only yesterday I bought $9.00 of gas from your Kangaroo store at 1900 East 70 Hwy, Garner, NC. Today, while looking at the credit card that I used it seems your company has seen fit to be processing that purchase at the amount of $125.00. I have to say that I think that is somewhat out of line with what a reputable company would charge. I hope you understand that I don't mind paying for what I buy but I do mind you tying up over $115 of the credit line that I have in this card. I have spoken to your store manager and he blamed my credit card company, I have called my credit card company and they have said it is up to the company and that most Kangaroo stations only charge $1.00 while a purchase is processing. I went to the Kangaroo today around 2pm cashier in the store act as though she had a attitude with me. I paid for $10 gas and brought some newports for 6.43 gave her the money for the gas and went outside to get the 43cents and she would not turn my gas on. Other people came in and paid for their gas and left. My friend had to wait until I got back outside before she decided to turn the gas on. I know she was aware that he was out there waiting for it to be to be turned on. I went into the Kangaroo Express at Friendly Center Greensboro with my 8 year old son. While in the line I heard the lyrics of a rap song being played on a very loud portable radio. The music was inappropriate for a store setting. When I asked the clerk why they had that music playing he said, its just a radio station. I told him there were plenty of other radio stations that they could have on it the store. He didn't respond, I asked for the manager Jeff, who was not in however the employee said "honestly hes probably the one who put it on that station"Reading the other comments here it sounds like Kangaroo Express has systemic training issues and a general attitude of ambivilance. I was a customer in your store located on 736 South Reilly Road in Fayetteville North Carolina. Today I watched one of you cashiers get threatened by a women with a gun. All of this because she didn't have a card with her name on it to match her ID that she had given the cashier. She was trying to buy age-restricted items. This lady then told her when I see you outside I'm going to shoot your ass. Wow shouting out profane and lewd comments to her then she proceeded to walk out the store and appear to walk around the store before she left the police were called but showed up too late right before she pulled off. What kind of an establishment do you have where your rules changed so many times that it puts your workers at risk. There was another manager there and I know she was not the manager of that store and she completely told the customer that they do it all the time at her store which further infuriated the already agitated customer. Please Rectify this not only do I fear for your employees but I fear for the children that I had with me while I was in the store the store number is 302 I would hope somebody would call and apologize to that young lady that was working there. The dumpster is overflowing .. running over.. with garbage bags piled on top of the dumpster and bags all around the dumpster... causing the whole area to stink.. not to mention now I have vultures (if that is what those huge black birds are called) hovering in my yard and in the trees at the edge of my yard and all over the area of this dumpster ... Apparently it has not been emptied in who knows how long??? I have lived here for many years and NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE!! I have even seen the store clerk putting overflow garbage bags in the fenced in area where the crates are stored, etc. .... PLEASE PLEASE check into this problem and have the dumpster emptied !!!! I work in the construction field and I bring my lunch almost every day. I frequently heat my lunch up at the Kangaroo store #3489 on Leonardo Dr in Durham, NC. I also purchase a drink and sometimes chips while I'm there. This store is in an area with a lot of new development going on so on any given day there are several contractors there to heat up their lunch. In the past it was very helpful during the lunch hour that they had two microwaves to access. The two microwaves were in two different locations so you didn't have to feel like you were invading someones personal space when you were trying to heat up your food. Recently this has changed and I was told by employees that the change was a requirement from corporate. Both microwaves are in the same place. One on top of the counter and the other one just below that one. After they moved the microwave they discovered that the outlet will not support two microwaves at the same time so they have an "out of order" sign on one of them. The microwave is actually not out of order. This has caused a line to form while we all wait to heat up our food in one microwave. I only get 30 minutes for lunch and lately I spend half of that time in the store waiting and heating up my food. I like this store because the people are friendly and the store is clean, but my time is valuable and if this continues I will have to find somewhere else to shop and heat up my food. The easiest solution would be to move the hot dog machine back where it was and separate the two microwaves so they are both usable. Please allow and request that they be moved back for the convenience of your customers.
I am so tired of going into the Kangaroo on Nashville Ave in Atmore, AL to get a slushy for my kids (and we go in alot) because the machine is NEVER working NEVER!!!! half the time in the mornings, the coffee is not made, so I make it myself and still pay for it. I use to spend alot of money in there, but latley the customer service and avaliblity of items are horrible (IT SUCKS). Someone needs to look into this and get is fixed as you are losing customers quick.
