ReplyDeleteI am currently an employee of the legacy place JP licks. Although I only have worked there a short time period I now understand why a few people I know left JP licks. My name is Haley Reed I recently started working for the legacy JP licks store. yesterday I was ordered by the Assistant manager Richard to perform a work duty very late at night by myself. Richard wanted me to take out the trash and walk outside late at night putting me in a position where I feared for my safety. When I asked if somebody could go with me ( common sense -employee safety) he refused and said no. I am a 17 year old female walking that late at night (12 pm) in dark areas by myself is not a smart decision and I think Richard should be reprimanded if he is making decisions such as that. I also wanted to say that he made me work a 7 1/2 hour shift without taking a break. When I spoke to my father he advised me that this is not legal and if there is not a resolution that he would file a complaint with the AG's office. I do not wish to be looked at as a disgruntled former employee I only wish that this email finds its way to the right people and changes are made that make your employees safe. As I would not want to see another female late at night (12pm) walking alone in dark areas Thanks for your time And I am officially moving on from this position and I will notify the store manager as to my safety issues and lack of break.
