Hello. My name is Trena and I am one of the nurse reviewer with KEPRO. We process the medicare discharge appeals. I am writing to notify you that I have been having difficulty with one of your buildings today. I have been attempting to contact your Willoughby facility to notify them of a determination on an appeal. Our instructions for contact on the weekends is the nursing supv. I called and was put on hold for 10 mins. Hung up and attempted to call back 3 times and no one is answering the phone. This is a huge concern due to the financial liability for the Pt. I find this to be very unacceptable and do know from my own personal experience as a charge nurse for Manor Care in the past, that someone should be available to answer the phone.
my brother fell out the bed due to the cna's neglect on october 17, 2017. the cna put my brother too close to the edge of the bed and he was found on the floor when they returned and has a big scar on his left head and it is swollen and the supervisor refused to let him get an xray of his head. i had to keep asking for an entire week before they would send a mobility x-ray company to xray his head. fallin gout of the bed can result from hemotobia, stroke, concussion, bleeding on the brain etc. this is neglect on manor care's responsibility and they are to protect and keep a patient from harm and this was not done! atlanta ga
i work at hcr manor care for a while want to say that the don treats employes terrible she favors people off her race and treats other employees terrible sence she has been there alot off good employees have left they need to consider getting someone in there thats equalall they want is more and more out off there employes but dont care about them and never let them no how well they are doing there job florida
I was hired as a Registered Nurse and the company failed to provide an adequate orientation with my peer. I was placed on orientation with a subordinate staff member being an LPN. The facility also denied health insurance as a full time worker. I went to Human Resources and the Director failed to provide assistance and referred me back to the insurance company for further assistance.
This place is awful. and they do not recognize the importance of an RN. sorry you went through this but it's known for very poor management. It's all about the DON favorites.
This place needs new management. It's a mess. residents are being neglected, abused. The management does nothing to discipline the CNA's. They run the place and sit on their phones for hours. In a management position your relationships with employees should be professional and not friends who you hang out with and gossip and have favorites. With that being said. Nothing gets fixed. The residents are left in wet pants, dirty clothes, abused and neglected and management is well aware of these things. My mother was in manor care on locust street in iowa and she was left in bed at dinner time and no food was offered to her. She had on 3 depends and she was soaking wet. We waited 45 minutes for someone to answer the call light while we watched the CNA's playing on their phones at the nurses station. There is no house supervisor on off hours. While i was there falls were happening constantly because management does nothing to the lazy CNA's. When state comes in they have the place fully staffed and cover up the bad. They make nurses work with minimal CNA's and the aids are mouthy, disrespectful and look like they hate their job. They don't provide fresh water but once a day. The food is horrible. This place needs to be shut down. I would never recommend anyone work or put a loved one in this place.
