I would like to specifically complain about the Elmhurst NY Baxter Avenue location. They consistently mis-price sale items and also non-sale items. The manager is never available. Today, the overcharges were so obscene that I stood firm and refused to leave. After 15 minutes he finally arrived and tried to tell me I was wrong. I was in the right on every on every questionable price, I was only spending $30 and there was $10 of overcharges. OMG if he does this all day, where is all this money going? This is just a heads up, I will be filing an official complaint.
Due to a major concern of Foodtown's Bronx location at 283 East 204 st store #582 on 10/23/2015 around 11:30 amI was in the store when I overheard two employee talking: one with wearing an id call Juan having a conversation with the staff member behind the cold cuts counter. He was restocking eggs in its refrigerators at this time as well. The conversation was concern sexual harassment issues, talking about someone next to him was not a virgin no more. As the employees laugh it made certain customers to feel uncomfortable. This message can be validated by just reviewing the surveillance tapes of that store daily routines. I hope that this store's corporate headquarter administration execute a stop to this sexual harassment actions cause by their employees. I do believe it is against company policy to act this way in front of customers and if not please consult you legal department. Thank you for reading my concerns.
I would like you to know that I had a horrible experience at your store located on 204th st inwood in the bronx on October the 12th. All because I picked up bumblebee solid white albacore tuna according to the sign was 88 cents with club card. I got to the register and was told that in order to get the tuna for that price I had to use my points. I went and got the sign and showed it to the cashier, she told me the sign was wrong. Another employee got involved to tell me I was wrong. Then another person came over and argued with me. Instead of honoring the sign they put up. One particular employee continued arguing with me. She was rude, unprofessional and had no customer service skills. I refused to back down, I was right. After sometime I got my items and left the store, I should have just left everything and walked out. I am shopping elsewhere, your loss.
Foodtown's Bronx location at 283 East 204th st store # 582 To whom it may concern,This is a matter that needs to be handled immediately this happened last year on December 2015 during the evening shift when my aunt was shopping she notice while waiting on line the cashier drinking what it appears to be coffee,hot chocolate or tea while attending the customers by the time my aunts turn to be scanned she realized that the young guy was acting kind of funny she got scanned and when the young gentleman returned to change and said thank you she smell his breath of liquor she glanced at his name tag and saw it was a Spanish name Eduardo my aunt went home with disgrace when I reach my aunts house to visit she explained to me the experience she had there and she stated that everything has changing in foodtown with all the young people there not respecting the customers a lot of them are texting eating and using foul language while on the register this is not the first time she experienced a discomfort she just didn't want to speak to any of the managers because, that they won't do anything I was so angry because now I have to go to another supermarket knowing that foodtown is right down the block I went to the supermarket myself and started to realize my aunt was not deceiving me she was saying the truth or not getting a little too old for herself I looked at a couple of the registers and several cashiers have coffee cups so I made it my business to start going more often to see how it was played out and the days that I realized that these young kids were drinking i told my aunt you are so right they are drinking I saw the whole thing with my own eyes I was with in disbelief that these foodtown young workers were drinking liquor With In Terms store like it was a after hour lounge this action were more closer to the weekend I saw for myself that several of them were getting empty coffee cups and going and coming from the back were the bathroom is located they would pretend to blow on the cup like they had a hot drink I saw the way they will shake the cup and drink Right In Front Of The camera without no care in the world like it was coffee i was pissed off with all these young kids just drinking they're acting like that the playground there is another gentleman that name by angel that is the cashier /bookkeeper he is one off the young one also drinking and with a bad disposition not understanding how management is working these days, but the evening shift is so terrible that I had to actually do research and found so many complaints about 204th street I told my aunt that I will call in and speak to somebody for her but then she became too nerves and didn't want to because she the type of individual that don't want no problem she don't want to mention her name or anything , but I did call and spoke to someone and I receive a call back I called the office and a wonderful young lady answer the phone and she was just as pleasant and understanding and extremely very apologetic about the foodtown workers she needs to be commended she's kind, amazing that you have these workers that work in the daytime that are so different from the evening shift you have workers that drink liquor and a bookkeeper that smoke marijuana WOW that's the end of a great supermarket. My aunt is a church lady and has told everybody on the congregation what has happened to her in foodtown and what's dtill going on, I thought about it along with my own I really don't think I want to go back into the Supermarket I seen enough , my aunt had me print out all the complaints that were made by other individual and she is handing it out to everyone that goes to her church which also shop at foodtown 204th st. P.s. this issue is still continuing up to this day I hope we could get our foodtown back !! I miss shopping at Foodtown with my aunt.

I was at the Rocky Point Super Foodtown tonight. I was on line behind a young mother and her infant. She was getting a few staples like bread, and asked the cashier, Kaia, if she could pay by rolled quarters. She had $30. Kaia was very nice and said she doesn't think they could take rolled coin, but that there was coinstar. The woman who was very nice said she didn't want to use coinstar because there is a 10% fee. Kaia went to ask a supervisor and came back and said she could not take the coins rolled, but she would count them out. They opened all 3 rolls and started counting. They were about halfway through when another woman came over and asked if I wanted to go to another line, but I told her I was fine waiting. Then the woman explained to the mother that they just can't take the coins rolled because they had been shorted before. Everyone was fine with it. The counting took about 2 or 3 minutes and it turned out she was actually over by a quarter. The cashier was about to start ringing up the order and another employee came over and said the Manager said they could not take all those quarters and she would have to use coinstar. It was very obvious that she didn't have much money and she even had the groceries separated if she didn't have enough. She was upset that after they opened and counted all the rolls, she was being told they couldn't do it and she wasn't even speaking to the person who made the decision. I suggested the Manager come out and speak to the woman personally, especially since I believe I saw her watching from behind customer service counter. She apparently wouldn't, because the woman had to scoop up all the coins and did not purchase her groceries. Kaia was very sweet and the woman that the Manager sent out to do her dirty work was polite, but the Manager on duty should be ashamed of herself. Not only does she have no compassion for someone struggling and no sense of community, but she wouldn't even come out and take responsibility for her actions. I will be reconsidering using Foodtown ever again.
The Cold Spring Food Town is beyond expectations for a small town. The new cashier, Susan, is absolutely the nicest person I have ever met. She is a credit to you and your entire store. Carol Herring
My complaint is with the Foodtown store #11 in Houston Texas @ Pinemount at Antoine. At 4:10 pm the clerk Erlid was working the 15 items or less register, (now there was no other customer behind us, only one customer in front of us checking out) as I was unloading my basket she asked if I had 15 items and I said yes I do! My daughter who was directly behind me with her basket placed what she had (7items) on the conveyor belt with mine so we could get out of the way if there was another customer behind us is line all items then totaled 22 altogether. Now yes the lane was 15 items or less, the lady (Erlid) stated that again you have over 15 items SERIOUSLY....to make an issue about 7 additional items when there was no other customer after us was truly ridiculous. This is not the first time this cashier was rude to a customer, my niece who is pregnant was in the store last week and she only had 10 items and Erlid again was very rude. I've worked in Customer Service and there is a way to let the customer know about the policy and not make them feel uncomfortable in any situation. This cashier needs to be either retrained or moved from the front of the store. This is my last visit to this store I certainly will take my business else where.
On July 1st 2016 while shopping at Foodtown of Kensington of Brooklyn at 382 McDonald Ave. I lost my wallet, this occured at 3:02 pm. I search for at least 5 minutes and couldn't find it. I went back to the store the next day and asked them if they would review footage from the security cameras to see what they might reveal. They were uncooperative. I also asked for the address for coporate headquarters, they said they didn't have it. If they receive shipments, have dealings with the parent company, have invoices they should have been able to provide that information. They told me that the security cameras weren't working. You should have footage I was wearing a red plaid flannel shirt, black denim pants, sunglasses. My hair is dark brown and in a small ponytail, I'm 4'11 inches. My wallet is a creamy brown color with an alligator like texture. Is it possible to review the footage to see what it might reveal? The wallet had my phone number, my name, as well as my bank information, credit and debit card account numbers and about $70. They made absolutely no attempt to help not even announcing throughout the store about a lost wallet. How can the surveilance cameras not be working? They have to have cameras in order to prevent shoplifting. A store can do whatever work it has to do while customers are still shopping, they may be inconvenienced, but it is still possible, I know, because other stores have done it. They can also do whatever work has to be done after hours. You would have to have fully working security cameras at all times for insurance purposes. So what I was told simply isn't plausible. They were covering up. Look all I want is to recover my wallet hopefully with everything inside.
Hi.. my complaint is about the cashier named Maria Acosta not sure do which Foodtown but she works for the company. She's going after every men that goes there. Had destroy few marriages. Becareful with her. She has no heart. My kids are suffering because of her. She is one of those that only go after married men. So who knows what else she's doing there. I
The Brooklyn keinsgeton store on McDonald ave next to the F train, is the worst, over price, customer services rude, express line is slow motion line, self check out only one works, sales price very misleading. Incorrect pricing. If the price on the shelf states $1.99 and you charge $3.99 on register .you has a company or manager should honer the mistake and mark it if consumer affair would see this its a violation ...down, if you your management team needs training I would be willing to train them. They are clueless, what kinda store manager goes around and dusts the store, what joke, store manager needs to make sure front end runs smooth and not people running out the store not buying. If I would be running this store this store would make so much money. No one care, so much traffic with clueless employees . help them , help us I have to go all the way to shop rite because I got deal with idiots why..? easy look from 8:30am -10 express line open. I attempted to exchange baby cereal ($3.19) purchased from another Food Town (located at 47-33 Bell Blvd Bayside, NY 11361) earlier this morning (Father's Day). The manager stated "we do not take food from other Food Towns. We are a family-owned franchise." I then asked him if he knew of another Food Town (not family-franchised owned) nearby. He said he did not. There are several things disturbing about this situation in my view. Is there something wrong with food from other Food Towns that I am not aware of? Is Food Town's Corporate Headquarters in the know of such policies? If so, do they agree/support such ideals? Is an exchange for cereal that costs $3.19, a big problem at family-owned franchises? Is there a reason a manager is not aware of other locations that are nearby? I understand he was not going to accept the exchange, but he was unaware of how to redirect me.Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with the interaction I had with the manager at this location regarding an exchange or even redirection. I went back to the same store I purchased it from and received the exchange. Also that manager seemed perplexed about the entire situation. Should you need similar services from the Bell Blvd. family-franchise owned location, please keep this in mind.
While shopping at the Super Foodtown in Croton, NY, on Saturday, July 1, 2017, sometime between 3:15pm-4:00pm a careless customer in a white SUV who was parked next to me opened their door hard and wide enough to dent my car door in three places. I saw the damage upon my return to the car after shopping. The SUV was long gone and left no note. I went inside the store to get the manager and asked if their were surveillance cameras and told him why I was asking. He walked outside with me and saw the damage. Apologetically, he said there was nothing he could do. I went to the bank that is also located in the shopping center and was told they could not release tapes from their surveillance unless it was bank related. So, since I have no way to track down this obnoxious, careless driver, I now have to shell out $450 to get the damage repaired. Since Foodtown does not care enough to have surveillance cameras for the safety of their customers, I will no longer shop there and have told all of my friends and family as well!
Get surveillance cameras in your parking lots Foodtown...especially in Croton!!!

I have a major complaint about Foodtown/Big Deal on Morris Park Ave. The fish department never has the fish that is on sale and advertised in the weekly flyer. I feel that if it is in the flyer then it should be in the store. Thank you, Barbara Loiacono ,I would like to see a reply to this.
First, let me say I love your store and I am so happy you decided to come to margaretville and also to rebuild here after the flood. However, I have been very rudely treated by 2 of your employees in that store. I was shopping in the store on July 3 around 3-4 o’clock and after making my way through a very crowded store, I got in line to check out. The line had 3 people ahead of me. I could have gone to the express line, as I didn’t have that much, but like I said the store was very crowded and all the lines were long, so I decided to stay in the line farthest away from the express line. I waited patiently as I knew it would be crowded the day before the holiday. I waited about 10+ minutes and the person checking out in front of me (who I recognized as one of your cashiers) suddenly turned around and said” she’s closing after she checks me out”. I said, “but I have been standing in this line for 10 minutes!” . And she replied “ I know, I’m sorry”. The cashier didn’t say a word. I left my cart and walked out of the store. I don’t mind standing in line once, but not twice. When I returned home I called the store and asked for the manager, woman who answered said she would help me. I asked her if she was the manager, she replied she was the office manager. Obviously she wasn’t getting the manager on the phone so I told her what happened. The office manager proceeded to tell me I should have come right to customer service. No, I shouldn’t have to, nor could I with all the shopping carts in line at the time. She never apologized and just kept saying I should have come to the office and made me feel like it was my fault for not coming to customer service and said if it ever happened again to come right to the office. I have never had it happen to me in any store my entire life and she tells me it could happen again in your store! If a cashier is closing, they usually tell you right away if you get in their line, it should never be handled like this. Sorry to say, but it will be a long time before I come back to your store, if ever. I did send an email to corporate with the employees names.P Scarth
