Pottery Barn Gaming Chair Issues

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 4, 2024

purchased a gaming chair for my granddaughter for Christmas, and returned the first delivery for flaws in the fabric. Just received the second large staples that are sticking out on both sides of the chair. Also, it is so out of alignment that it takes two people to push it together to put in the tool to hold it together. My granddaughter loves the chair so I cannot return it. China is at its best. It would be worth paying more if made in the USA. I would like the head of customer service and quality control to contact me.

Horrible customer service and furniture delivery - Pottery Barn

I ordered a Pierce sectional on Aug 8 to be delivered Sep 10-24 Starting in Nov I was making weekly calls for updates to my order since did not have a sofa anymore. After countless hours on hold and being transferred around many times and getting no real response I finally got a call from the delivery company for a date of Dec 21. They brought me 2 pieces of my custom-ordered sectional. Today finally I delivered the third piece, 2-3 shades different. I just want a complete refund and to come get the mismatched furniture. After being a very good customer for 15 years this is the very last purchase I will be making from Pottery Barn.

Pottery Barn Terrible Customer Service

January 17, 2024

I bought a sectional and chair on 11/24/23. The delivery date showed 1/17/24, which I accepted. When I checked the status in late December 2023, the delivery date changed to 3/14/24 to 4/1/2024. I have spent countless hours on the phone since then (I have called 4 times and each time I get a different story as to what the issue is) and still have no idea where my furniture is or if it is even made. One rep said it was “returned to stock”, one rep said the date isn’t changed (even though you can clearly see it on the details page…gaslighting at it finest), one said there is a production delay and the last one, a manager told me the furniture is en route and would be here by last week. Still no furniture and current rep on phone has no idea whats going on. I have currently been on the phone with this rep for 20 minutes now, and I am certain it will be another 2 hour phone call. I want to cancel and buy elsewhere because I have no living room furniture and won’t for a long time, but evidently I am not able to cancel. God only knows if I will get resolution. My last sofa was from Ethan Allen and it was an amazing experience. I should not have let a sale persuade me to purchase from Pottery Barn. I am going to elevate this to the Better Business Bureau and the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Buyer beware of this place.

Pottery Barn HQ - More Delays - Again

Promised delivery by 12/12/2023 now not until 12/26 i need the furniture for Christmas with guests coming they need to sit on chairs, not the floor. When I went to the store back in December they said none was in stock, but place the order and I’ll have it before Christmas–plenty of time they said.

I paid ahead and paid a high shipping cost to be able to have the order before Christmas. Seems as though nobody cares after the order is in and payments for goods and shipping are already in the pocket. I know the challenges of shipping but they never should have said I would get it by Christmas. I could have simply gone local and had furniture off the floor but my wife and I always counted on Pottery Barn. We had a problem last year and I blew it off as a time problem, I now see it as a regular problem. I need my furniture before Christmas as promised.
