NYSEG Price Increase

Price Gauging! Unfortunately, there is no O star or negative rating. Since the smart meters have been installed my monthly bill has gone from $68 to $233+. Even when I am away on vacation my bill keeps increasing. Two-meter reading employees and a gas service person of NYSEG commented the bill was exceptionally high and that it was impossible for me to generate that much usage as a single person with no microwave, clothes dryer, etc. I even turn off TV when not in use. Judging by the previous complaint I am not the only one. I live on SS pretty soon I won’t be able to buy food just to keep the lights on.

Other seniors are complaining too. See photo. I want these smart meters replaced at no charge since they do not work and are making me sick.

NYSEG - Zero Customer Service and Insulting Representatives

I have a complaint of wrong meter reading, resulting in a high bill. What you have on file and what’s on my meter is not even close. Called customer service at least five or six times. Besides hanging up on me at least four times, They promised to take care of it, but I got a letter saying you are cutting off my electricity on Dec. 6. I have never paid late in my life!! And I am 77 years old! Fix the overcharge and I will gladly pay the right amount. All it takes is a meter reader, some math, and a new bill. I have spent hours and days on the phone with representatives who hang up on me, and then when I call back they say they never heard of that person. Are you staffed by the dregs of society?? What is the problem???? A meter reader, some uncomplicated math, and a new bill.
