  1. I have the Electrolux refrigerator model ew28bs71is. I purchased about 3 years ago. I with a month or so had to have repair on the ice machine. I was not informed of coarse of the major issues many were having with the ice machine, not ice maker. I had to have repair here probably 3 to 5 times while still in warranty. All for ice machine issues. I also was not informed by HH GREGG, that the extended warranty I purchased did not include repair on ice maker after a certain time. Well now 3 years later and 10 service calls later, in the last 2 months, the company who has taken care of all of my appliance repairs or issues for the last 24 years, is refusing to do work that your TID or tech department is saying will fix my problem. I have made many calls to Electrolux customer care, have had to set up someone coming to let repair in many times since I work same hours they do. They set me up with another repair service and after they did research on the model ew28bs71is, they called me back and said they would not keep appointment because of major issue with this model having to be cutting into the sealed compartment to do repair. If someone was honest with me all the times I called to set up repair, while still in warranty, they would of replaced instead of having me continue to have someone come to do a repair that these service repairmen are saying they will not do. Now I am stuck with a almost $4000 fridge with no ice and am being told, repair would cost more than fridge is worth. As usual, while in warranty, they want to put a band aid on it.
Then after warranty has expired, they was to give you a rebate, a small fraction of what you spent and what it will cost to replace.

    1. I also made the mistake of purchasing an Electrolux refrigerator with a defective icemaker, model EW23BC711S6. What a disaster. The same shoddy engineering and breakdowns within months. One authorized repair service, after 4 house calls, declared in unreparable. Finally another repair service got it working, but then they day came when a steel screw fell out of the ice machine into a glass of water I then served to an unwitting guest. Luckily she did not bite on it or swallow it, but it was a scare (beware!). The service people said it will take at least $600 plus labor to repair. so I wrote Electrolux Customer service. They asked for the model number and contact number (which I had already provided in the first email). I sent them that info again. Then they asked for me to send my complaint number and contact number. I sent the original complaint number and again, my contact information. They responded asking for my contact number. I gave it to them again. They responded saying they could not find the complaint and asked for my name and address "with pin code and landmark" and two contact numbers, and the model number and the purchase date and name of the dealer. I provided all this, minus the landmark, whatever that is, and then received this message, in its entirety: "Dear sir, This is like to inform our service will be available in India only." ARE THEY KIDDING???

  2. Shame on you and your faulty products.

  3. I am awaiting the third visit from the Electrolux repair man and still no working appliance. A terrible combination of poor design and terrible product support. All of this on an expensive product that serves only as an expensive shelving unit rather than a cook range. How can you be proud of producing products that won's last more than a year, or is that your corporate strategy?

  4. Bought a Frigidaire Professional convection range two years ago and already it needs a new temperature sensor and a new EOC control board. I am not paying to have it fixed, as it means putting out a third of what this high priced piece of crap cost new. I am going to buy another stove and you can bet your ass it won't be a Frigidaire or anything else made by Electrolux..

  5. Purchased an Electrolux French Door Refrigerator 04/12/2010. Had problems with the ice maker within 4 months. Had service tech out for same issue 6 times in 3 year period that required about 27 calls to Electrolux and various "Electrolux Certified Repaired Technicians". July 2015 had a problem with the Evaporator Fan. Purchased Extended Warranty for $700. Repair tech came out on 07/22/2015 and within 15 minutes declared refrigerator "unrepairable". They will replace but it will void my $700 Extended Warranty and I have to pay for Pickup/Delivery. They knew when they sold me the Extended Warranty that this model (E128BS56IS) was defective and that they wouldn't repair it. They basically SOLD me another refrigerator for $700. A refrigerator, especially one at this price point, should last more than 5 years and should CERTAINLY be repairable if there is a problem. There are three class action lawsuits against Electrolux for continuing to sell and not service a product they know is defective. I've also contacted the NC Dept of Justice. I will NEVER buy another Electrolux product. Perhaps Electrolux should read their own website.

  6. I am beside myself; I purchased the EW-30EW65G57 three years ago and have been
complaining to customer service for two of the years. I am retired saved for
twenty years to put in a dream kitchen. I spent $6000.00 on appliances all
Electrolux. The rollers on the refrigerator have already needed to be replaced
the wall oven jumps form a normal setting 350" to broil and I have to shut
down my electrical breaker in my basement in order to reset the stove. I have
not been able to use this oven for two years.
I have spent several hours on the phone with customer service and was advised I should have purchased the extended warranty, I don't know it would have covered the parts that you so kindly offered to discount 35%. Is this a joke, it is not what your mission statement said?
I spoke to Kayla and she advised me that she was a customer service supervisor? I am not sure I can believe that she is a customer service supervisor. I was then transferred to a person named Mandy she said she was a customer service corporate manager? Once again I am not sure I can believe that all the sudden I was sent to the corporate office. I am not even sure that you have a position that has a manager located in corporate?
I am so disappointed that I am now going to refer this to Lowes who I know values their customers and I am going to write reviews on every customer web site I can find. I have lots of friends and family and I will surly warn them you do not stand by your products.
This is an outrage! Wall ovens should not last for one year. I think I used it twice oh and burnt both meals that I was serving to my friends and family.
Please respond with a reasonable , fair responce such as a new oven!!

  7. This is not the answer; I would like to speak with your corporate office not your call center. I have the right to know whom I need to contact even if it is a CEO offering 50% discounts on parts for a defective oven is not the answer.
I want a new oven and I really do not think it is too much to ask for; I have been calling for two years and have spent countless hours trying to get you to do the right thing by replacing the oven.
So far I have been refused the corporate office information, a manager and I am not stupid that you are representing a high end appliance company as a corporate manager. It is my right to know as a consumer how to manage up a claim/ Once again this could end in a house fire.
You and the other representatives I have spoken too could care less that I do not have the money to put out on a repair for a brand new product oh and by the way this was something that started two years ago the oven has been used at best six times shame on you and I will never let this go. I may be out of warranty but reliability is your claim to fame so to speak I am not under that impression at all.
Your corporate mission statement claims that reliability is your number on priority, your customer service is your number one priority and yet you refuse to give me address for Keith Mcloughlin his assistant or any other major player in the company.
I am retired and do not have the money to pay for additional parts nor to have to pay for a service technician to come to my home at my expense, do Ovens last for three years. The last oven I had in my kitchen was twenty years old.
If you cannot nor will not do the right thing for a retired person with limited refunds God knows how you treat someone with no time to go back and forth with countless hours to get you to do the right thing.
The only information I want at this point is when you can come and deliver a new top oven and offer to pay to remove the old oven and put in a new oven.
Just an update, I received a call from Rita whom claims to be your CEO Michael Mcloughlin’s executive assistance and laughed at me. Not at all professional

  8. We purchased a dehumidifier end of May 2015 within a month or two I noticed the water was orange. I thought it was mold or mildew but it was rust. Called Electrolux and they do not cover RUST, why not this unit will fail shortly. I've had other dehumidifiers and never saw rusty water. The coils are not copper they are some sort of steel or metal product. Water asnd metal create rust what engineer figured this one out. Needless to say, "They don't cover rust" now we are out $250. Priceless........

  9. I am amazed at the lack of response from Electrolux. I am currently attempting to resolve a problem with a range we purchased. Initially, I did receive a response, but recent calls since Thanksgiving have not been returned. I will continue to pursue the issue of poor customer service, and will post more comments in the near future.

  10. Electrolux and their retailers suck. I purchase a microwave oven a few year ago and still have a warranty from HHgregg. The handle on the oven broke and I called HHgreee. The handle is a wear and tear item, thus it is not covered. Well, HHgree will never see another dollar of mine. I complained to Electrolux and they offered me 30% off on the parts. I already have the parts, so I asked for 50% of the cost for labor. Still waiting for answer. a few months ago I purchased a washer and dry through Home Depot. Well, the first set was damaged and I had ir returned. What surprised me was the damaged should have been seem at the warehouse level, because there was no way it was done during shipping or delivery. The damage was a long stretch on one of the pedestals. About a week later I received a new set, everything ok. Then, 2 days after installation, the drawer of the pedestal under the washer started to drag. I called Electrolux and was told the pedestal is only covered for parts and not labor. I was told to take the drawer apart and call back for the parts needed. I am still in the recovery mode from rotator cuff surgery, so I still have too look at it. Home Depot will not touch it, so now they suck as well as HHgregg and Electrolux. To top it off, I purchased a new Electrolux refrigerator. I know, if this company sucks, why are you still buy their products? You know the old saying, if mom not happy, no ones happy. My wife if from Europe and she always have Electrolux products and she never had a bit of problems with them. My wife wants all of our appliances from Electrolux. Back to the refrigerator, well it was delivered the other day, and again, it was damaged. Once again, this item was sent from the warehouse like this. The bottom freezer drawer had a big dent on the corner. Looking at how the item was packed, there was no way this was done during the shipping. Once all my problems get resolved, I'll be back to give you all an update. I told my wife, if we ever move, I am not buying another Electrolux product. This time it will be either "my way for the highway".

  11. I too am having, or should say, have had problems with my ice maker for nearly 1 1/2 years with no luck to resolve the situation. Every part was replaced, one even twice but no luck. They even replaced the ice bin, saying that was the problem! I contacted the president of the company after going through customer service supervisors (I dealt with Mandy also) but am getting no response. Anyone have any luck or can offer a suggestion?

  12. I would file a complaint with the FTC about this; I just filed a complaint with them regarding a very similar situation. They said that once they receive multiple complaints and see there is a pattern they will open up an investigation. They are highway robbers!!!

  13. We purchased several appliances-refrigerator, dishwasher, micro/oven combo, wash and dryer and pedestal. Micro/oven comb and the washer and dryer are fine. The frige ice maker has been repaired several time, and I see ice forming under it again. It wasn't really smart to put an icemaker in the refrigerator. My dish washer, not sure where to start...I had a Tupperware bowl in the upper rack and it had had something greasy. After the cycle was finished the bowl was still greasy, so I washed it again in the dish washer, but I put it in the bottom rack, still greasy and I washed it again on the bottom rack (don't know why, I guess I thought maybe the third time would be different, wrong) still greasy. I finally washed it by hand. I have to wash the food off the dishes so I can run it through the dish washer to get clean. I have had two different service people come out. This first guy wasn't very smart, he said he could get my dish washer out unless I pull up my tile. I said no. After he left I looked at the edges around the dish washer and there was a screw on the top both sides bolted in to the counter. He didn't see that. He had pulled on the dish washer several time, then I notice he had bent the metal bracket. The next guy said something was broken in the inner part, can't remember what is was. Well I guess it sprays better but that's about it. I had thought I was purchasing good quality products, doesn't seem that way. I would not suggest anyone to purchase any Electrolux appliances. I will tell anyone that it is throwing away money. Oh! I was told to make sure I ran my water at the sink until it got hot before using the dish washer. Before I moved into this house I had a portable dish washer that I had to pull to the sink and hook it up to the faucet. I never had to run the hot water first. It worked wonderfully.

  14. I bought Electrolux washer and drawer last year in Sept 2015. This was the worst discession EVER!!! I am so upset with the treatment of customer service. The first day I bought the units they were damage . The delivered to my house about 8 times. Now I am having technical issues and these contractors are so unprofessional let alone the assistant manager from Electrolux who refuse to give you there managers contact information. The last tech that came out to my house didn't leave me any information of the problem and never reported what the problem was. To get some help is like asking the President of Electrolux to come to your house. Still no one has contacted me yet. NEVER EVER WILL I RECOMMEND NO ONE TO BUY NOTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

  15. My wife purchased an upscale Frigidaire refrigerator in stainless thinking we had made a right purchase - or so we thought! Mistake no. 1, the shelving in the freezer section come out or in too far and create issues with stacking food items effectively on the trays. Issue no. 1, within 3 months of purchase, we needed the dealer from whom we purchased the unit have their service department come to repair a faulty freezer fan. That worked for about 9 months, when we again had the same issue, and again they came out. fast forward to today and now its the refrigerator portion that is not doing what it's supposed to - keep food cold like it did before. As the unit is now just over 2 years old, even though our appliance issues appeared within the warranty period, Electrolux is basically saying 'tough luck...you are out of warranty". OK, if you want to play that game and not take responsibility for your defective product, I plan to wwrite to your CEO and include a copy of that letter in my complaint to the AG's Consumer Protection Bureau. I strongly suggest that other victims go the same route and file a complaint with your state's Consumer Bureau and demand action!

  16. NEVER EVER buy Frigidaire/Electrolux products. Bought package Refrigerator/stove/microwave/dishwasher. Have had service calls on all several times. Took me six months to get the icemaker in the fridge to work. Microwave is LITERALLY falling apart. Oven codes then shuts down (on Thanksgiving morning of all times!). Could not reset - husband had to pull stove from wall and unplug to "reboot" it! I called customer service to speak to a supervisor - refused to put on supervisor. Made a service call appt after I told them I wanted a new microwave and stove. Serviceman came. THREE pieces needed to repair stove less than a year old, which already had a part replaced a few months back!!! Took microwave door off and remounted. Ok fine - but the whole casing is falling off. I was on their site and gave a one star review of the stove. The worst thing I wrote was "I am not happy". They refused to post if because I used profanity, among other things!!! I think we all need to do what the person above said. Contact the FTC and let them open an investigation into what is really going on here. We spend all this money for inferior products. That is what I am going to do because I can't seem to get any info on corporate telephone numbers from telephone number I call! LET'S ALL CALL!!

  17. I too saved my money to put in my dream kitchen. I bought all new stainless Frigidaire appliances. I have had the repair men out to my house at least six times to repair the ice maker on my refrigerator which is a side by side with pull out freezer. I spent $2000.00 on this beautiful refrigerator only to be told by two repair companies that it could not be fixed and they would not come back again! Of course I have and am not getting anywhere with Electrolux. You pay for a warranty only for them to give you the run around and a line of crap that would reach from here to the moon. I will never ever buy another product from them nor will anyone in my family. Shame on you Frigidaire/Electrolux. You should stand behind your products and fix them. This problem has been going on since the first month after I bought it. I will be calling the BBB and the FTC. I am DONE!

  18. I bought a electrolux dryer model EDH 3497 on 27/2/2017 and I only use for 4 times .The motor start to produce a very loud noise and according to technician they need to change the motor . I demanded for a new replacement for the machine which was rejected on ground for the purchase price I pay . I had never expected such a premium product from Electrolux could have this problem . really feel upset .

  19. I had emailed Electrolux for a warranty issue on a vacuum cleaner. Customer service was not willing to assist me since I no longer had my receipt. I wrote someone from corporate to see if the canister vacuum could be repaired to not only have been accused to reselling the product but they also stated this would be turned over to the legal department since I buy and sell items for living. These items were a person item and had nothing to do with my business.

The other fact is warranty should be honored on the product.

  20. I would like to know where the personnel department of Electrolux Corp. USA was located in 1963-64. Found an undated holiday card from a Jack DeForest who joined that office sometime in 1963. My parents met him and his mother in London while both pairs were vacationing there. Of particular note is the paragraph Jack writes about President Kennedy's death that shocked all Americans. This card must have been sent in December.
