Dollar General Cluttered Store - Meadow Community

Rated 1.0 out of 5
November 28, 2023

The Dollar General in the Meadow Community was closed for about 2 weeks to upgrade the store. Was very impressed to see the changes that were made but within 4 weeks after the doors were opened for business it was in the same mess again. There are not enough employees working to keep the shelves stocked and the isles cleared so you can get down them with or without a shopping cart. There are carts and carts and more carts up and down the aisles every time I go there. And another thing is if someone needs to go to the restroom they have to ask for the key first. If the cashier is busy you have to wait. Sometimes a body can’t wait. Please can’t someone look into this? Things like this hurt the business.

My medical bag and the security guards! I don’t Understand how it is you all don’t have more Lawsuits on your hands. You hire security guards who always want to Bags At The Front Of The Store But This Certain Security Guard At The Sunnyvale Store Keeps On Picking On Me And Put His Hands On His Gun Telling Me That He Was Going To Use Deadly Force To Remove Me From The Store All Because I Would Not Give Him My Medical Bag In Order To Enter The Store. Not That I Was Stealing…. But “To Keep Me From Stealing”…..(That’s Called Discrimination And Racial Profiling) Then He Snatched The Basket Out Of My Hand And Told Me To Leave The Store Or He Would “Use Deadly Force If Necessary To Make Me Leave The Store” While Placing His Hand On His Gun….. Which Was Threatening Me With A Deadly Weapon Over My Medical Bag When I Had Every Right To Be In The Store.

Dollar General Store in Terrible Condition

Rated 1.0 out of 5

Store in terrible condition! I stopped by my local store today to check on outdoor rugs. My heart sank and I became heartbroken when I saw the condition of the merchandise on the shelves in the store. Such disarray as you have never seen. It looked as if three tornados went through the store and each one went a different way. I saw one person working. There were empty boxes left on the shelf where the merchandise had been removed. This store needs to be cleaned up, straightened up, and reorganized so people can shop. If the current manager does not seem to want to do the job, hire someone who will. I don’t know when or if I will try to shop there again. Never saw the store on the Old River Road in this condition, so I know getting it and keeping it in better shape can be done.

Dollar General Colden NY Great Customer Service

AMAZING CHANGE! I have to admit, I have started to dread every DG store that I go into due to the chaos and lack of organization the stores present. Until, I walked into the Colden, NY store and I couldn’t believe the transformation that had taken place, it was a disaster zone, but now is a clean, organized, with room to move through comfortably, great customer service, with shelves beautifully stocked place to go. I couldn’t help but gasp at the amazing change that has happened, so of course I asked to speak to the manager, only to find out they don’t have one, so I asked to speak to whoever has done this AMAZING job of transformation! So I have to give a HUGE round of applause to Randy Ball who has worked his tail off to clean the Colden, NY store up and I mean in BIG ways! I really hope whoever is in charge above this employee that you acknowledge and appreciate him! This DG store will now be my stop all the time!

Upper management responsibilities

The Dollar General store in Salina, OK. is always dirty, the steel carts are always blocking the isles, making it difficult to maneuver through the store, and the shelves are mostly empty. I believe this plays a big part in your sales dropping. This has been going on for at least 2 years. People get tired of going to the store and nothing is stocked on the shelves. They can’t seem to keep employees, so they close the store early, usually at 6:00, and when you live in a rural area and you drive a distance to get to work, the store closes by the time you get home in the evening. The store has had very few employees who would help the customer, and don’t dare ask if they have an item in the back, the answer is always no, until you point out that the box just inside the open door is the item you are looking for. Up until recently, when new registers were installed, there was always a problem with checking out. Management (outside of store employees) should be held accountable for the quarterly sales dropping; they know the problems going on in their stores and are not doing anything about it. I would give this store -0- a star rating, but it was not an option.
