My husband and I were visiting the grandchildren in Clover SC. My husband is a 73 year old Vietnam Veteran. I am 69 yrs. We noticed the tire showing 10 lbs under pressure. I went into NTB. I told Ty (employee) my problem. He said, “you don’t have a problem”. The staff repaired the tire, did not charge us. We are extremely happy. I will tell everyone about your “ Great Customer Service “. I also called and spoke with one Ashley, who said she will write an email to the Manager over that area informing him about the compliment. I asked for the Manager’s name, but she would give it to me. Thanks NTB

Went in on Tuesday 1/2/24 to get 4 new tires; 1st they broke 2 stem studs which then went to 3 more. I was then told I could drive the vehicle home & bring it back Wednesday for the repairs to be done; NOT I’ll leave it here for you to repair the studs & pick it up when it’s completed. Thursday, I came to pick up my vehicle after a call saying it’s done I waited another 30-45mins. I finally get into the vehicle & it’s hard to drive like I’m forcing it to move; this is not how it was driving when I brought it in. The mgr. George Glasco meets me at the door to blow more of the same smoke up my blank that he’s been giving me since Tuesday. I get my mechanic (30 + years certified Honda) on the phone. A brief conversation with Mr. Glasco & my mechanic tells him exactly what the problem is & exactly what they did incorrectly. He advised me to bring my vehicle to the dealership. Mr. Glasco charged me another $257.00 to “fix ” their mistake. My mechanic was so upset when he saw the shitty work done. I wish they would have been truthful up front & said they couldn’t do the work then to make it worse & cost me more $. This all started because they stripped the stud stems & then didn’t have the equipment & didn’t know how to correct the problem. I’ve included a few pics. NTB you need to hire experienced technicians & managers who know what they are doing because clearly, the only thing Mr. Glasco knows is how to sell bullshit to his customers.

I called to price a battery for a car, and I was asked what is my license plate number, not the make and model of my car. I said, why do you need my license plate number? She said that’s the only way I can identify what kind of battery you need. Then I said I’m not giving you my license plate number, She said I can’t help you then. I have never heard of that before and there is no way to determine what kind of battery I need just off of my license plate. That sounds like some kind of identity theft, and shadiness going on. That is completely unacceptable. I have never heard of something like this before. Stay away from NTB.

I dont feel comfortable.

NTB 1741 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill SC - Bait-and-switch cost for service

I was told the price for an oil change at NTB 1741 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill SC (803-716-8733) would be “about $30” when I scheduled an appointment for 8/8/23. Also, the current NTB website advertises “Valvoline Conventional Motor Oil Change $29.99” at the same location.

However, I was charged $48.25 and the clerk refused to honor both the $30 verbal quote and NTB web advertisement [claiming NTB no longer exists / although two NTB signs are prominently displayed on the building and entrance].

If the Mavis company is interested in customer satisfaction, an equitable resolution would be to reimburse the cost of the oil change ($48.25). However, as a minimum, reimbursement of the difference between the advertised price and the final charge is expected.

[Pictures of the web price, storefront, and receipt are available upon request].

Disappointed With NTB

I am writing this as I was really disappointed this morning at the National Tire and Battery this morning at the Burleson Texas Location. I went in as I was having an issue with one of my tires losing pressure and needed it repaired as it was leaking and causing me to need to stop and get air. I went in early right after opening at 10:15 am. There was one person in front of me as I had held the door for him due to him carrying a bad tire and rim inside. The person at the counter had just finished with another gentleman and asked the person with the tire what he needed. He explained his need and he processed his paperwork and told him it would be about 15 to 20 minutes. The person said he would leave get breakfast and come back. He then asked what I needed and I explained about my tire losing air and he asked if I had an appointment. I told him no as I was losing air and did not know if I ran something over. He began to tell me it would be two to three hours before he could look at it. I asked why and he said he was too busy.

I at this time was not happy. I walked out but turned around and went back in and asked why he could do one person within 15 to 20 minutes and no appointment but he told me I would have to wait two to three hours. He said he only had so many mechanics and since I did not have an appointment I needed to wait. I was not happy as he never asked the person in front of me if he had an appointment and told him it would be 15 to 20 minutes but he had to ask me. I feel like he was picking and choosing who he serviced or he was discriminating against me because I am a big guy. There was no reason he could not help someone who had a leak in a tire on a vehicle and having issues. The other person even left the tire he needed to be fixed and said he would be back. They could have done mine as I had no other option. I needed help but could not get it.

I have been a big supporter of NTB for many years and spent several thousand dollars there with all the vehicles I have but after today this is so disappointing to me. The person running the counter should not even be there. I really felt discriminated and this was not right. I told my wife when I got home and she was so upset she wanted to go back up there and complain. I told her no and NTB may be losing a good paying customer. Feel free to contact me as this is just not right after all the funds I have spent with you.
