Home2 Suites - Broken Door

Rated 1.0 out of 5
December 16, 2023

Sent this to the Assistant Manager and he got back to me stating the door was fine. This was the worst night my wife was up to 4 am because she was so scared someone would break in. She had me block the doors with the suitcases. This was all because before this date someone had broken the door and maintenance glued it back together. I did come to the front desk and they said someone would be up to look at it. I requested another room but was told there was none available. I also requested to be transferred to another hotel. I was told this company does not do that. I sent these pictures to him

I talked to Char at your Home 2 Suites by Hilton in Lehi, Utah. She was so pleasant and helpful. She was also very patient – I had to call her several times. I hope I get a chance to meet her during my stay.

Home2 Suites Disappointing Customer Service

Poor management! I’ve been dealing with my issue since July 2023. I had a reservation for a one night stay at the Home2 Suites in Clarksville, TN Upon my arrival I was informed that the hotel had no hot water. I was given the option to cancel my reservation, no penalties, full refund. I was provided with an alternative hotel option, an agreement was made to let customers stay at the same price as original location. I took the alternative. I was never issued a refund. I’ve been disputing this for 7 months. The alternative hotel has confirmed my stay with them and notes stating I was coming from the Home2 Suites. I contacted corporate and they were of no assistance, they told me only the actual hotel could take care of this. I ‘ve spoke with the Home2 manager more than once and have been told there’s no record of hot water issues and that I was out of luck. I’ve been a Hilton Honors member for so many years and have never had any issues, but this is so disappointing that corporate is not even giving me the time of day. Hilton Honors member no more.

Home2 Suites Cancelled Reservation

I had made a reservation months in advance 2 weeks before we were to arrive, I was called and said they had to cancel my rooms and gave me a phone number to Motel 6. I am a Hilton Honor member and never have I experienced such a thing. This was in Gonzales, La. I would like for someone from corporate to please call me to discuss this matter. 337-274-1890. In the conversation with the girl with Hilton, I told her this was not acceptable,

Home2Suites Complaint - Poor and Dirty Accommodations, Lousy Sleep

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 2, 2024

On 28 December, we arrived late in the afternoon and got a room at the Home2 in Meridian, MS, dropped our bags, and almost immediately left to get something to eat, next door at the IHOP. Upon our return, we opened our baggage to get ready for bed. While I began reading on the couch (with two large dried areas where a dog (?) had gotten sick and threw up) my wife tried to turn on the TV. She discovered the remote did not have a back cover. I looked around the TV base and did not find a cover, but did find a dried wad of chewing gum. I left it on the TV base. After these two finds I began looking. I found the carpet had not been vacuumed as there were particles of food in front of, around, and below the footstool (which I later moved) to get comfortable while reading. There was also a dried splotch of something dark in the carpet on the right, near the back side of the room. Two of the six lamps arrayed along the left wall were in obvious need of repair. One small ineffective lamp was above the desk on the right wall. The electrical outlet to the left of the couch was found to be broken and the broken part was on the floor below it. The bathroom was…worse. There was no soap other than the small bar at the sink, which did not even have an effective stopper to hold water while washing. As I scanned the room I saw mold (?) on the walls in all areas around the commode and on the right of the door. The sink spigot was almost laughable: one hand had to be used to steady the thing, to get water flowing with the other hand. LOOSE is a very appropriate word. Wobbly. also. The shower fixtures at the bottom control and above were not fastened to the studs as they were very loose, possibly held in place by the plumbing pipes alone. All along the baseboards were bits of dirt and sections were loose and just sitting in place – and dirty.

I went down to speak to the manager and was told the manager had left for home No manager on site. Only the two young girls.

Later, when talking to the desk person to get a Wake-up call, I mentioned some of the things mentioned above and was asked if we wanted to move to another room. By this time my wife had gone already to bed, so, no move. While talking to the desk person I mentioned we could hear every truck passing the hotel. If there was any insulation in the walls at all it must have been the cheapest, thinnest available. We heard trucks ALL NIGHT! We have stayed at other Home2 locations and expected similar, good to better amenities. Sadly, the Home2 at Meridian, Mississippi was among, if not THE worst experience we’ve ever had. Home2 Corporate needs to inspect the facilities.

When leaving, I asked another party, also leaving, and asked if they had heard the trucks. The answer: “All night”. I doubt if they’ll ever stay there again as we most certainly will not. It was undoubtedly the worst experience at a hotel/motel since staying at the only- room-available Knights Inn in Charleston, WV – several decades ago.

Photos? Yes, but for MY records.
