Watching employees make key cards for their boyfriends to enter rooms without permission- front desk allows illegal items and smoking in most of the rooms- when I complained I was thrown out and lied by staff to the district manager I was “DNR” and do not rent to any location- but I have plenty more evidence for my attorney on retainer and I with 20 others are filing a class action lawsuit- Smoking stuff on the job and especially deals in corporate named clothing

Extended Stay Fee Issue

Charged for my service dog. In December 2023 I rented a room for 1 week at Extended Stay Louisville, KY. Upon my paying up front for the week, I told the manager I have a service dog. She then told me if I wanted to stay with him then I had to pay a $150 pet fee. Because it’s in the fine print that service animals are not exempt from the fee. When I checked out I got my receipt for the payments for the room $462.98 and the pet fee and it was $185.73. I continued to tell her and another staff member that it was illegal to charge for a service animal. They demanded paperwork to not have to pay the fee. I was homeless at this time ao all my stuff was in storage. They told me to take it up with corporate. Because they were told to charge all animals. On my receipts there is no such policy I signed agreeing with that. Much more happened during my stay that week, therefore they have done this I would like to be refunded for all I paid that week or I will sue for illegal actions.

Extended Stay Lack of Customer Service

December 2022

I made a reservation using your web site phone number, payment to your office in Long Beach, CA. never received the payment. The desk continuously contacted me about payment, while I was at the hotel; I showed them my reservation, I was at the hotel December 20th thru December the 30th.They received payment the last day I was there; very insecure feeling while traveling.

June 8th, 2023

Stay at the same hotel June 8th thru the 11th, I was attending my wife’s celebration of life on June 10th and return to my room to find the door locked. Someone cancelled the last day of my reservation?

December 2023

Scheduled reservation for five days; December 26rd thru December 30th; then decided to come earlier, so made another reservation December 24 thru the 25th, when arriving the desk stated I only had one day set up; 24th, referred to supervisor, when she comes in later in the day. Met with supervisor later and she stated everything was OK, If only the first person would have check and found the correct answer would have better.

Know it all attitude did not help; thank you supervisor for handling the situation.

December 26, 2023

Because they could not connect the two reservation, front desk checked me out for the first two days and checked me in for the original reservation a OK

but they did not give me a new key, LOCKED out again, went to front desk and they reissued the keys; very insecure situation when traveling.

All the reservations were made in person by my daughter, because of the problem in December 2022.

Everyday I requested some pans, some dishes ,silverware, a coffee pot, a toaster; I could cook, never received items. On Christmas no breakfast, no one open.

My grandson wanted to cook me dinner one night ;he brought his own pan, one burner didn’t work, used the microwave, we ate out of paper plates

Later on I cooked a roast in the slow cooker I bought my family; had to cut the potato with a pair of scissors; again served on paper plates; the meal was

great!

Thanking you in advance for your concern!

All staff is helpful except the one on Sunday a shift. Sh, roles her eyes and is rude. Furniture is bad. The first room door fell off the hinges. U can’t even get a coffee maker or any of the stuff they advertise. Not a good look for the brand.

Extended Stay Main Offices - Nice Room But Constant Stress

Rated 2.0 out of 5

The NJ Extended Stay America Secaucus NY: The room is nice. Otherwise, since I’ve been here (from Oct 1st) piercingly loud fire alarms have gone off daily – often more than once – usually in the middle of the night, esp between 2 am and 5/6 am. Then recently I came home and found an enormous apple-sized hole in a lovely designer sweater I’ve had for a long time – it was in perfect condition before. I only brought 2 warm sweaters. What am I to assume? There have also been several incidents of items missing from my room. We live in an era in which it seems to be considered okay to target people who have done no wrong based on prejudice.
