Capital One Customer Service Issue

Rated 2.0 out of 5
March 2, 2024

I had made a mistake on my payment last year and Capital One had just canceled my card. I take ownership on my mistake, but due to the situation last year with my father passing. Capital One and their rude rep that handled it very unprofessionally. The rep that handled the call was rude and very cold..She and I even had a 3-way call with my bank, she even got ruder. So it seems to me that even if we as consumers make a small mistake, we are judged for it.

Capital One Mobile App Bill Pay Issue

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 21, 2024

The Capital One Mobile APP duplicated a bill payment to my electric power company. I submitted the problem to Capital One and they opened a case. Approximately 15 days after I contacted Capital One regarding the problem, I received an email from Capital One stating that they found no problem with the electronic payment to my utility. Attached to the email was a copy of the Capital One document showing only one payment to the utility company. I’m absolutely disgusted with this lack of support when you can plainly see the duplicate deductions from my checking account. This was the second time that I’ve had a bill payment error by Capital One. And, this will be the last time. I’ve had enough of its off-shore support, or rather the lack thereof.

Capital One Unpaid Bills to My Mortgage Company

Rated 1.0 out of 5
December 27, 2023

I set my online payments as I do every month with Capital One since its inception. They “updated” their online bill payment platform and DELETED my payments. I re-set them for two payments to my mortgage company. Capital One statement said it was paid electronically but they advised that they sent a check on my behalf instead (not true). The mystery “check” payment never arrived. The electronic payment did not arrive. My account has been reduced by the two payments. The mortgage company still has not received payment after 4 weeks. I was now put in pre-foreclosure. No one at Capital One cares. No one has a sense of urgency. No one takes responsibility for actions not fulfilled by Capital One. It is dishonest and unreliable. Hey, but let’s make coffee instead of banking. Good job.

Capitol One Incompetent Customer Service Representatives

Incompetent customer service representatives

I attempted to activate a new card after speaking with five different representatives. Because they cannot text the pin code to authenticate me, the card isn’t activated. I can’t explain anymore that the morons cannot text to a landline phone, which is the number on the account. Against my preference, I provided a cell phone number to be used just for this one-time activation use to all five of them, including two supervisors. Every one of them said it didn’t work! So, scissors to the card!

Capital One Poor Customer Service

Rated 1.0 out of 5
April 11, 2023

CAPITAL ONE BANK COMPLAINT – not happy – very pissed off – It started over a month ago I could not log in and called the customer service number – I was told someone had changed my email I had to verify my identity by coming in to a Capital One with my ID – and that I could withdraw my funds at that time – I traveled from Crossville Illinois to Chicago Illinois 5 hour one way to the Capital One cafe 100 State Street – to get there and was told they could do the verification but I had to have a debit card to access funds – its a savings account there is not debit card -the customer protection resolution team I had been working with should of told me this and not sent me there – so the Cafe at 100 State Street tells me I have to go to 3800 Golf Rd in Rolling Meadows to the Atrium Bldg – it was late I traveled 5 hours I had to stay the night to go the next morning – I then travel a distance out of my way again to the Atrium Bldg Rolling Meadows only to find out Capital One moved out 2 yrs ago -wouldn’t the Cafe on State St that told me to go there know this ? I have been given the run around again. All I want to do is verify the account as mine and withdraw the 2000 funds in the account that was transferred from MidFlorrida bank to me by my sister – ITS MY MONEY but now I am sitting in Chicago with nowhere to go to verify my identity or access my funds – the trip has already cost me $50 gas – $100 hotel expenses and nothing has been done. I am going to write a review on Capital One on every bank outlet I can to make people aware of the runaround and poor customer service I have received from Capital One – it would be nice to be reimbursed for my unnecessary expenses but I am wondering if I will ever be able to get my funds out the account there – THIS NEEDS RESOLVED I DO PLAN ON CONTACTING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND ANY RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO ME TO COMPLAIN TO – this is ridiculous – service is poor quality and sub-standard!
