AOL Corporate Office Headquarters, Address, Support Phone Numbers and Complaints

🗨  Comments

AOL’s current U.S. corporate and legal address is 770 Broadway, New York, NY 10003. AOL.com and AOL Mail are provided in the United States by AOL Media LLC, while AOL subscription offerings are provided by AOL Membership Services LLC. AOL operates as part of Yahoo, a privately held media and technology company backed by Apollo-managed funds. AOL does not prominently publish a dedicated corporate headquarters switchboard. Users seeking help with AOL Mail, passwords, billing, subscriptions, spam, account recovery, or technical problems should use AOL Help or the appropriate official support number rather than contacting Apollo’s corporate office.

The old 9 West 57th Street listing belongs to Apollo Global Management and should not be used as the current AOL address. The older 1-212-652-6400 number is also not confirmed on AOL’s current official support, corporate, or legal pages and should not be treated as the verified AOL headquarters or Human Resources number.

Where Is AOL Corporate Headquarters?

AOL no longer operates as a separate publicly traded corporation with an independently promoted headquarters. For current U.S. corporate and legal purposes, AOL Media LLC and AOL Membership Services LLC use 770 Broadway, New York, NY 10003.

This is the address readers should use when searching for AOL corporate office, AOL headquarters, AOL corporate address, AOL head office, AOL main office, or AOL headquarters in New York City.

The 770 Broadway address should not be treated as a walk-in customer-service center, password-recovery office, billing counter, retail location, or place to deliver computers and other devices. Most AOL concerns must be handled through online account tools, AOL Help, or a verified support number.

AOL, Yahoo, and Apollo Ownership Explained

AOL is part of Yahoo’s portfolio of digital media, email, content, and technology brands. AOL and Yahoo began operating under unified terms after the two businesses were combined within the former Verizon Media organization.

Yahoo later became a standalone privately held company backed by funds managed by Apollo. Apollo is therefore connected to AOL through Yahoo’s ownership, but Apollo’s headquarters at 9 West 57th Street is not the AOL corporate office.

Jim Lanzone is the chief executive officer of Yahoo. AOL does not prominently identify a separate public chief executive officer or standalone executive leadership team for ordinary customer-contact purposes.

AOL Corporate Office vs. Customer Support

AOL’s corporate and parent-company operations handle business leadership, legal matters, privacy, advertising, technology, corporate careers, media, partnerships, and company-wide policy.

AOL Support handles AOL Mail, passwords, sign-in problems, account recovery, spam, subscriptions, AOL Desktop Gold, account security, billing, mobile mail, and other product-specific issues.

The number 1-800-358-4860 is promoted by AOL for live expert assistance. Some AOL Help pages describe this as paid premium support, so callers should ask whether a subscription or charge applies before accepting service.

The number 1-800-827-6364 appears in official AOL materials for account creation, account management, plans, benefits, sign-up, and reactivation. It should not be described as a dedicated corporate headquarters or executive complaints number.

Choose the Correct AOL Support Route

  • Forgotten password: Use AOL’s Sign-in Helper and password-reset instructions.
  • Changed or inaccessible recovery phone number: Use the account-recovery process and update recovery information after regaining access.
  • Account locked or repeated verification loop: Follow AOL’s sign-in troubleshooting and account-security guidance.
  • Suspected hacked account: Change the password, review recent activity, remove unfamiliar sessions, and check mail settings.
  • Missing or delayed email: Review spam, filters, blocked addresses, forwarding, storage, and third-party mail-app settings.
  • Excessive spam: Mark messages as spam, block senders, review filters, and avoid interacting with suspicious links.
  • AOL paid plan or billing question: Sign in to MySubscriptions or call the account and plan support number.
  • Cancel a paid AOL subscription: Use MySubscriptions and confirm whether other premium products remain active.
  • AOL Desktop Gold: Use the Desktop Gold support articles and confirm whether the account includes paid support.
  • AOL app problem: Review the current app requirements, update the app, and check account security.
  • News or comment feedback: Use AOL’s feedback site rather than password or billing support.
  • Privacy or personal-data request: Use Yahoo’s official privacy tools and policy routes.
  • Employment inquiry: Use Yahoo’s official careers website rather than calling an unverified HR number.
  • Corporate-level unresolved matter: Send written correspondence to the AOL entity at 770 Broadway after documenting normal support efforts.

What to Have Before Contacting AOL Support or Corporate

  • The AOL username or email address involved
  • Access to the recovery phone number or alternate email when possible
  • The name of the AOL product or paid plan
  • The approximate date the problem began
  • The device, browser, mail app, and operating system being used
  • Any error message shown during sign-in or account recovery
  • The last successful sign-in date
  • The subscription, payment, or billing date involved
  • The support case number or representative previously contacted
  • A concise description of the steps already attempted
  • The specific resolution being requested

Do not publish an AOL email address, password, recovery phone number, security answer, one-time verification code, payment information, account screenshots, private messages, home address, phone number, or employee personal information in public comments.

How to Escalate an AOL Complaint

Begin with the official AOL Help article connected to the issue. Many password, spam, mail-delivery, subscription, and security problems can be handled through self-service tools without contacting the corporate office.

When live assistance is necessary, call a number obtained directly from AOL Help. Ask whether the support is included with the account or requires a paid subscription. Request a case or reference number and record the date, representative, steps attempted, promised action, and expected follow-up.

If the issue involves a paid plan, review MySubscriptions and identify every active product separately. Cancelling one AOL plan may not cancel other premium subscriptions billed to the account.

For a substantial concern that remains unresolved after official account or product support, written correspondence may be sent to:

AOL Media LLC or AOL Membership Services LLC
770 Broadway
New York, NY 10003

Use the entity that matches the service involved. Send copies rather than original financial or identity documents and remove unnecessary passwords, security codes, complete payment information, and private email content.

Common Reasons Users Contact AOL Corporate Office

  • Finding the current AOL corporate address
  • Trying to verify an AOL support phone number
  • Repeated sign-in failures or password-reset loops
  • Loss of access to an old recovery phone number or email address
  • Two-step verification or account-security problems
  • Suspected hacking or unauthorized account changes
  • Missing messages, blocked email, filters, or mail-app synchronization
  • Excessive spam, phishing, or fraudulent messages
  • AOL Desktop Gold or mobile-app technical problems
  • Paid plans, billing, renewals, cancellations, or unexpected charges
  • Concerns involving AOL news, comments, moderation, or content
  • Privacy, accessibility, legal, advertising, careers, or corporate matters

AOL Password, Sign-In, and Account-Recovery Complaints

AOL account-access complaints may involve forgotten passwords, outdated recovery information, verification codes that do not arrive, repeated sign-in prompts, an unrecognized device, a locked account, or an account that may have been compromised.

Begin with AOL’s Sign-in Helper. Enter the recovery phone number or alternate email connected to the account and follow the verification instructions. AOL generally cannot use public comments or ordinary corporate mail to verify ownership of an email account.

If access is restored, immediately review the recovery phone number, alternate email, recent activity, connected applications, mail filters, blocked addresses, display name, forwarding settings, and security options.

Account-recovery results depend on the information already connected to the account. Do not pay an unknown person who claims to have a special way to bypass AOL’s verification process.

AOL Hacked Account and Security Complaints

Warning signs of a compromised account can include messages sent without permission, unfamiliar sign-ins, changed settings, missing contacts, unexpected password changes, new forwarding rules, or repeated MAILER-DAEMON notices.

Change the password through AOL’s official account-security page, remove unfamiliar sessions or connected applications, and inspect mail settings for changes. Use a strong password that is not shared with another website.

If the AOL address is used to recover banking, shopping, social-media, or other accounts, review those services as well. An attacker with access to email may attempt to reset passwords elsewhere.

Do not send AOL a password by email or disclose it to a caller. AOL states that it will not call or email asking for the account password.

AOL Spam, Missing Mail, and Delivery Complaints

AOL Mail complaints may involve excessive junk mail, legitimate messages sent to Spam, missing mail, blocked senders, messages that cannot be opened, filters sending mail to the wrong folder, or synchronization problems with a third-party app.

Mark unwanted messages as spam instead of opening links or replying. AOL warns that even an unsubscribe link inside a malicious message can be dangerous. Use the built-in unsubscribe option only when the sender and message are trusted.

If legitimate mail is missing, review the Spam folder, blocked-address list, filters, account forwarding, recent security changes, and settings in any third-party mail application.

Include only general information in a public complaint. Do not post private correspondence, sender addresses, account screenshots, attachments, or personal information belonging to another person.

AOL Plans, Billing, and Subscription Complaints

AOL offers free email along with optional paid plans and services. Billing complaints may involve AOL Desktop Gold, live support, security products, identity-protection benefits, ad-free mail, recurring subscriptions, or an older AOL plan that remains active.

Sign in to MySubscriptions and review every active product. Cancelling a paid AOL plan generally allows continued use of free AOL Mail, but separately billed premium subscriptions may remain active until they are cancelled individually.

Record the product name, amount, billing date, payment method, cancellation confirmation, and effective cancellation date. Ask for written confirmation when a support representative processes a change.

If a charge is not recognized, first verify whether it belongs to another AOL plan or benefit connected to the account. Contact the payment provider promptly when the payment information itself may have been used without permission.

AOL Content, Comments, and Feedback Complaints

Concerns involving news articles, advertising, comments, moderation, blocked posts, content recommendations, or site design are different from AOL Mail and password-support issues.

Use AOL’s feedback site to submit product suggestions or describe a content-related concern. Include the page, date, browser, general issue, and steps needed to reproduce the problem.

Do not publish political affiliations, threats, personal accusations, private employee information, or identifying details about other commenters when describing a moderation dispute.

Fake AOL Support and Phishing Warning

Go directly to AOL Help before calling any support number. AOL warns that internet search results may lead users to fake support websites and malicious telephone numbers.

Be suspicious of emails that provide a PIN and instruct you to call an 800 or 888 number. Scammers may claim that an account is suspended, a payment failed, a computer is infected, or a password must be verified immediately.

AOL will not ask for an account password. Do not provide passwords, verification codes, full card numbers, bank-login information, gift-card payments, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or remote access to a computer in response to an unexpected message or call.

Official AOL emails may display an AOL Official Mail indicator. A message claiming to be from AOL without the expected official markings should be treated cautiously.

AOL Reviews and Complaints

AOL reviews vary by account age, product, subscription, device, browser, recovery information, technical issue, and support route. Positive feedback may mention long-term email continuity, familiar mail features, news content, or successful account recovery.

Commenters on this page have discussed excessive spam, blocked account access, password and recovery problems, two-factor authentication, long support waits, and concerns involving comments posted on AOL content. Other complaints may involve missing mail, hacked accounts, billing, AOL Desktop Gold, subscription cancellation, privacy, or fake support numbers.

When leaving an AOL review below, include the general product involved, approximate date, issue type, support route used, response time, and whether the complaint was resolved. Do not publish an AOL address, password, recovery information, account screenshots, payment details, or private messages.

AOL Competitors and Related Corporate Office Pages

AOL operates within Yahoo, so Yahoo is a related parent-company resource rather than an unrelated competitor. Other digital media, email, search, and technology companies compete with portions of AOL’s services.

Related corporate-office pages include Yahoo Corporate Office, Google Corporate Office, Facebook Corporate Office, and Apple Corporate Office.

Fires rage in Los Angeles and during this dire emergency, AOL blocks accounts!!! Are they crazy? For your almighty dollar? Let us know ahead of time…give us a chance to move our accounts or give you your bucks, but do not block accounts!!!!! Your company will die guaranteed when people survive all this!!!

AOL Customer Service Issue

December 10, 2024

AOL, Green dot signals no entry. I have noticed that when I make a comment after an article, you place a green dot next to my name. I never see my entry even when the entry is appropriate. I have notified others about this practice, but they seem to be safe in posting a comment. I think you know exactly what I mean. It’s apparent you via a real person or AI censure certain people.

AOL Disappointing

October 31, 2024

I have had my AOL address for just about 30 years. This new update/password reset/purge whatever it is is maddening to say the least. It’s impossible to get through to customer service. The few times I have finally made it, after waiting over an hour each time not including all the hang ups from the system because it’s so overloaded, results in Nothing. The people that answer are call center people that are hard to understand and all they say is “I’m so sorry” “call back in a couple of days” “the system needs to reset”. “We’re unable to help you”. 30 Years. Not only that, I have emails that are extremely important!!! What happened to security questions? Why were those replaced? And to make it even harder to help because of this infernal two factor authentication is even more maddening. I understand making it difficult for hackers, but when it’s customers that are clearly doing their best to recover their personal accounts, there should be better service. Not a supervisor that answers “hi thank you for calling airbnb uhm I mean aol” That just tells me they will not know how to help recover my account. To say that I am pissed is an understatement. I’ve been a loyal AOL memeber since the day of disks. I dislike Gmail and all the other services, preferring AOL every time. All I can say is, if I am unable to recover my main aol account, I will never return to AOL and as they say – bad press travels faster than good press. AOL has changed for the worse. Their website says they’re customer oriented, that’s malarkey. At this point I wouldn’t even give any stars but I’m forced to in order to post this review.

AOL Disappointing Customer Service

October 30, 2024

Never can reach AOL! I’ve been an AOL user since 2000, and I don’t ask for help very often, but I’ve been trying to reach AOL for the last 3 days. I did reach one time & they said it would escalate my request and call me back. I’;m 83 yrs old, and all my passwords for my screen names were wiped out asking me to put in my password to save it. Well, they were all saved to begin with, and I did manage to reinstate all but one. When I put in that password, it just makes me jump through hoops & raises my blood pressure. This should never be. My password hadn’t changed, and I have them all written down on a paper hard copy. Why can’t I get this resolved? I’m so tired of the “robot” stairs, motorcycles, bridges, traffic lights, buses, cars, etc. This screen name is very, very important to me as I have all my Family History, because I work on genealogy in my spare time. I have changed my phone number & I corrected it on my Primary Screen Name which should cover all the others. I can’t begin to tell you how many different AOL phone numbers I have called. You need to hire people who are organized & resolve issues.
