Xfinity Mobile New Account Issue

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 22, 2024

Billed for a service I never authorized!

Apparently Xfinity Mobile has opened an account without my authorization, lines were never activated but I was billed for over a year for a service I never received. Called to get a refund and I’ve been playing the supervisor game back and forth. When asked for the corporate number the supervisor said he didn’t know the corporate number and that he was the highest supervisor.

Xfinity Comcast Removed My Land Line Service

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 18, 2024

Comcast Removed the Telephone Number for our LANDLine Service and 14 Days Later Have Still Not Restored Our Service!

I would of given ZERO stars! They don’t even deserve one star! My home phone service just stopped working on 01/05. Phone service, was not working. This time there was no ringing, the caller received a message about the line being set in a certain state the made the call not go thru, but calls could be made out.

COMCAST: Agent did their usual modem restart and some other troubleshooting steps. This made the telephone show “Check Tel Line” and now no calls can be made out from the residence, the telephone is completely non-operational. Further checking the agent said that the line was going to be ported out to Verizon and the work order said that my mother was changing her plan to remove the LAN line service. This was not true. I was at work, calling on behalf of my mother and explained this to the support person. I asked her to call my sisters cell phone who was with my mother at her home, she assured me she would, but never did make that call to try and work the issues with the LAN line.

Saturday, 01/06: CANNOT RECEIVE ANY CALLS AT THE RESIDENCE.

COMCAST: Called in, 45 min wait period so I waited for support to call me back. Talked to an agent and explained the issue from beginning to end. He tells me the line is being ported to Verizon. I explained that was not true. Why would my mother make such a change, only to pay much more to have the LAN lane supported by Verizon. She has never had any services with Verizon. After approximately 1 hour on the phone, he was going to transfer me to another area that could help me with this problem. I was transferred, but not to someone that could help, I was back in the standard queue to start all over again. Wait time was at least an hour, so I waited for support to call me back. Once I was finally called back, I explained the problem from beginning to end, yet again. The support tech was the most helpful of the many calls I made to Comcast and after being on hold several times, 45 minutes in total, she let me know that they had to redo our Xfinity order and that by rewriting the order, the cost was slightly above the original cost per month and that the service would be restored in 4 days.

Sunday, 01/07: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

Monday, 01/08: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

Tuesday, 01/09: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

Wednesday, 01/10: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

The date that the phone was to be back on and in regular working order came and went. So, this time I went to the Xfinity Store to see if anyone there could make a difference or to maybe find an employee who has at least a small amount of compassion for their customers. I gave the associate my typed recap of the situation to that point, which he read and after consulting with the assistant store manager they said they were sorry and told me that this type of situation only happens in one out of a million issues. From their conversations with the assistant store manager, the phone would be working again on Friday.

Thursday, 01/11: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

Friday, 01/12: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

Checked the phone line several times throughout the day on Friday and much to my chagrin the phone was still not working. The business card that i was given for the store manager only had the 800 numbers for support and her email, so I couldn’t call them. (Why have a business card if no one can reach you at the numbers listed on it)

Saturday, 01/13: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

My elderly mother went to the Xfinity Store because I work on Saturdays. She spoke with one of the incompetant employees who she told me was not interested in hearing the history of the issue, but did some checking and about 45 minutes later told my mother that the phone would be working in 24 hours. The Comcast associate said, billing had told him provisioning would take 24-48 hours to finalize and the landline would be working again.

Sunday, 01/14: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

Monday, 01/15: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

Tuesday, 01/16: CANNOT RECEIVE OR DIAL OUT ANY CALLS.

5 days later and the phone is still not work.

Xfinity No Chiefs Tonight

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 14, 2024

Xfinity has come up with these rewards of late. Not long ago my free reward was a free Peacock Premium account. Since Peacock is the only way to watch the Chiefs tonight, my wife and I have spent the last 3 hours trying to unlock Peacock. A very patient Michael was on the line with us for about an hour while we solved the password and username problem. He was certain we could continue without him. Well, no. We can’t pay either the monthly or the annual fee. No Chiefs tonight.

We tried getting another person to help us. This time Vikram was much quicker and got rid of us by filing a report. We will get at email in 24-48 hours. Alas, the Chiefs game will be over. (Who’s cockamaime idea was this anyway?) Oh, Vikram also said we’ll be reimbursed for any charges. Well, duh, we can’t make any charges. Comcast Scam

UNSATISFACTORY ALL THE WAY AROUND. PROBABLY TIME TO CHECK INTO ONE OF XFINITY’S COMPETITORS.

Xfinity Charged Re-stocking Fee for Phone I Didn't Want

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 12, 2024

I called Xfinity to get an accounting error straightened out, the Rep said she had it all fixed, then said because of all the trouble I incurred that she was going to give me another phone for free and even the service was free for one year. I said no, that I couldn’t afford another phone. I’m a disabled senior veteran on a limited income. She kept pushing the deal because of my inconvenience until I finally said fine. The whole transaction gnawed at me. I got the phone in the mail and opened the outer box to see the invoice, and what did I find? I had been charged $43.87 for the phone and an extra $35/mos for the service. So much for a free phone. I called Xfinity and told them of the bait and switch and that I had the entire conversation recorded. She said she would send me a return address label to send it back but that I would be charged a $35 re-stocking fee. I asked a $35 re-stocking fee for a phone I never asked for, in fact, refused, but was told no charge. I said I’ll just return it to the store here and she said “Oh if you do that there will be no re-stocking fee”. I took it to the store and told them what had happened and they took the phone back and proceeded to charge me a $35 re-stocking fee. Just goes to show that no one tells the truth at Xfinity. I came home angry and called to complaint dept and explained the whole thing and she told me that all she could do was give me a 32.87 credit for my next months’ phone service. She thought she did something great, all I saw was me losing over 3.00 for a phone I never wanted. I’m still contacting the AG. This is a scam that needs to be stopped.

Xfinity Another Way To Pay

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 9, 2024

I have a big problem and no one at Xfinity can help. Maybe you can. When I signed up I had a card to pay, but now my card was hacked and I can’t use it. They say that we can’t use cash or checks. If someone can’t help then I will have to go to another store.
