WinCo Foods Corporate Office: Headquarters, Phone Number and Reviews

🗨  Comments

WinCo Foods’ corporate office is located in Boise, Idaho. This page provides the WinCo Foods headquarters address, corporate phone numbers, customer-service hours, store-complaint guidance, company ownership information, employment resources, and reviews from WinCo customers and employees.

WinCo Foods Corporate Office Address and Phone Number

WinCo asks customers with a store-specific problem to contact the local store manager first. Customers may then escalate an unresolved issue to the Boise home-office customer-service specialist at 1-208-377-0110.

The toll-free 1-800-824-1706 number is identified on WinCo’s website as a corporate contact. Neither number is described as a dedicated executive complaint line, Human Resources line, or separate legal department.

WinCo Foods’ corporate headquarters is located at 650 North Armstrong Place in Boise, Idaho.

Where Is WinCo Foods Headquarters Located?

WinCo Foods headquarters is located at 650 North Armstrong Place, Boise, Idaho 83704.

WinCo generally refers to the Boise location as its General Office or home office. Corporate departments based in Boise include Human Resources, finance, accounting, buying, procurement, information technology, marketing, and other functions that support WinCo stores and distribution operations.

The Armstrong Place address is a corporate office rather than a public grocery store or ordinary walk-in customer-service counter. Customers should contact WinCo before attempting to visit, deliver documents, return merchandise, or meet with a corporate department.

Which WinCo Foods Contact Should You Use?

Contact the Local Store Manager

Begin with the manager of the store involved when the concern relates to:

  • Employee or manager conduct
  • Self-checkout rules
  • Checkout lines or register problems
  • Product quality or freshness
  • Meat, produce, deli, bakery, or bulk-food concerns
  • Incorrect shelf or checkout pricing
  • Digital coupons
  • Store cleanliness
  • Restrooms
  • Shopping carts
  • Store hours
  • Returns, refunds, or replacements
  • Gift cards
  • Lost property
  • Parking or store-access concerns

Use the official store locator to find the direct telephone number, address, and current hours for the location involved.

Contact the Boise Home Office

Call 1-208-377-0110 when:

  • The store manager did not resolve the concern.
  • The published store telephone number does not work.
  • The complaint involves repeated visits or multiple departments.
  • You need assistance identifying the correct store or corporate department.
  • You want the complaint documented at the home-office level.
  • You need general corporate or administrative routing assistance.

Published home-office customer-service hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Holiday and weekend messages may not receive a response until the next business day.

Use the Online Contact Form

WinCo provides an official online contact form for customer questions, feedback, and complaints. Include the store location, approximate date, department, receipt information, and requested resolution.

Keep a copy or screenshot of the submission before closing the page. The form should not be used to transmit payment-card information, Social Security numbers, passwords, medical records, or other unnecessary private information.

How to Escalate a WinCo Foods Complaint

  1. Speak with the department employee or front-end supervisor. Routine product, register, coupon, and checkout issues may be resolved during the visit.
  2. Ask for the store manager. Use this step for unresolved employee, product-quality, pricing, cleanliness, or customer-treatment concerns.
  3. Keep the receipt and product information. Record the store, date, approximate time, register, department, product, price, and issue.
  4. Call the Boise home office. Contact 1-208-377-0110 during published customer-service hours.
  5. Submit the online form. Save a screenshot or copy of the message.
  6. Request follow-up. Ask whether the concern will be sent to the store manager, district management, product team, Human Resources, or another department.
  7. Send written correspondence when needed. Mail a letter to WinCo Foods, Attn: Customer Service, P.O. Box 5756, Boise, ID 83705-5756.

A useful complaint should explain:

  • The store city, state, and store number when available
  • Date and approximate time
  • Department or checkout area involved
  • Product, receipt, or transaction involved
  • What occurred
  • Who was contacted
  • What response was received
  • The specific resolution requested

Do not post receipt barcodes, payment information, home addresses, private telephone numbers, personal email addresses, or full names of nonexecutive employees in a public review.

WinCo Employee and Store-Manager Complaints

For a complaint involving an employee, begin with the manager of the store where the incident occurred. Provide factual information such as the date, approximate time, department, checkout lane, and what was said or done.

Useful employee-complaint details include:

  • Store city and state
  • Department or register area
  • Approximate date and time
  • Whether a supervisor or manager was contacted
  • The store’s response
  • Whether the problem occurred more than once
  • The resolution requested

Avoid publishing an employee’s full name, work schedule, personal contact information, vehicle information, social-media account, or other private details.

If the store manager is part of the complaint or does not respond, contact the Boise home office and request that the concern be escalated beyond the store.

WinCo Self-Checkout and Item-Limit Complaints

One review on this page describes disagreement over the number of items permitted in a self-checkout lane. Checkout limits and lane procedures can vary by store, time, staffing level, and posted policy.

Customers who disagree with how a rule was applied should:

  • Check the posted lane sign.
  • Ask an employee to explain the current limit.
  • Request a front-end supervisor when necessary.
  • Remain factual about the number and type of items involved.
  • Contact the store manager after the visit if the interaction remains unresolved.

When escalating, focus on whether the posted policy was applied consistently and how the customer was treated rather than identifying the employee publicly.

WinCo Product-Quality and Freshness Complaints

Product concerns may involve:

  • Spoiled, damaged, leaking, or improperly packaged food
  • Produce quality
  • Meat or seafood packaging
  • Bakery or deli products
  • Bulk-bin contamination or labeling
  • Expired or incorrectly dated products
  • Missing ingredient or allergen information
  • Incorrect weight or price
  • WinCo-brand merchandise

Retain the receipt, packaging, label, lot code, UPC, expiration or best-by date, and photographs when appropriate. Contact the store manager promptly and ask whether the product should be returned, retained for inspection, or safely discarded.

Do not consume a product that appears spoiled, contaminated, recalled, improperly sealed, or otherwise unsafe.

WinCo Food-Safety and Recall Concerns

WinCo maintains an official recalls and food-safety page for notices involving WinCo-brand and other products sold in its stores.

When checking a recall, compare:

  • Product name
  • Brand
  • Package size
  • UPC
  • Lot or batch code
  • Best-by or expiration date
  • Store and purchase date

Follow the instructions in the recall notice. A notice may direct customers to stop using the product, discard it safely, or return it to the point of purchase for a refund or replacement.

For a suspected serious illness, allergic reaction, poisoning, or other medical emergency, seek appropriate medical assistance rather than waiting for an ordinary corporate response.

WinCo Pricing and Checkout Complaints

Customers should compare the shelf label, promotional sign, digital coupon, product size, quantity, and receipt when a checkout price appears incorrect.

Before leaving the store:

  • Ask the cashier or customer-service desk to review the price.
  • Photograph the shelf label or sign when store rules permit.
  • Confirm that the product size and UPC match the promotion.
  • Keep the corrected or original receipt.
  • Ask for a supervisor when the discrepancy is not resolved.

When contacting the home office, identify the store, product, shelf price, charged price, date, and response provided at the store.

WinCo Payment Methods and Credit-Card Questions

WinCo does not ordinarily accept credit cards at its store registers. The company says this helps reduce operating costs and support its low-price business model.

WinCo registers generally accept:

  • Cash
  • Debit cards
  • Qualifying checks
  • WIC
  • EBT
  • WinCo gift cards

In-store ATMs may accept cards carrying major payment-network logos, but ATM acceptance does not mean the same credit card can be used to pay for groceries at the register.

Payment services, check acceptance, WIC, EBT, money orders, wire transfers, and check-cashing availability can vary by store and applicable rules. Contact the specific store before traveling for a specialized financial service.

WinCo Digital Coupon Complaints

WinCo digital coupons generally must be selected in the customer’s online account and applied at the register before the transaction is completed.

For a missing digital discount:

  • Confirm that the coupon was clipped before checkout.
  • Check the valid dates.
  • Compare the exact product, size, quantity, and variety.
  • Enter the telephone number associated with the digital-coupon account.
  • Ask the cashier or customer-service desk for assistance before paying.
  • Keep the receipt and a screenshot of the coupon.

Once a transaction is complete, correcting a coupon issue may depend on store procedures and the offer’s terms.

WinCo Gift Card Complaints

WinCo gift cards may be purchased in stores, and the company also provides instructions for ordering cards by mail.

Gift-card concerns may include:

  • Card not activated
  • Incorrect balance
  • Card declined at checkout
  • Mail-order card not received
  • Unauthorized use
  • Lost or stolen card

WinCo’s gift-card terms say lost or stolen cards may not be replaced. Customers should treat a gift card like cash and keep the purchase receipt separately.

Do not publish the card number, barcode, PIN, balance, or purchase receipt in a public comment.

WinCo Store Telephone Number Complaints

One review on this page reports that the telephone number printed on a store receipt was disconnected.

When a store number does not work:

  • Check the official WinCo store locator for the current number.
  • Confirm that the correct city and location were selected.
  • Call the Boise home office at 1-208-377-0110.
  • Tell WinCo where the outdated number appeared.
  • Ask the home office to connect or refer the concern to the correct store.

A disconnected number may result from a printing, directory, routing, or telephone-system error. It should not be treated as evidence that a store intentionally avoids customer complaints.

WinCo Human Resources, Employment and Careers

WinCo does not prominently publish a general public Human Resources telephone number for job applicants or former employees.

Applicants should use the official WinCo Foods careers website to:

  • Search store jobs
  • Search distribution and transportation jobs
  • Search Boise General Office positions
  • Create a candidate profile
  • Review application FAQs
  • Learn about employee ownership and benefits

The Boise General Office hires for departments that include Human Resources, finance, buying, accounting, and information technology.

Current employees should use the manager, Human Resources, payroll, benefits, ethics, or internal employee contacts supplied by WinCo. Customer-service specialists may not have access to employment applications, payroll records, benefits, schedules, or personnel complaints.

Is WinCo Foods Employee-Owned?

Yes. WinCo Foods is employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, commonly called an ESOP.

Employees established the ESOP and acquired a controlling interest in the former Waremart business in 1985. Eligible employee owners receive company-funded WinCo stock through the plan rather than purchasing publicly traded shares on a stock exchange.

WinCo is therefore not a publicly traded grocery company with a public stock symbol. Its shares are valued through the employee-ownership structure rather than through daily stock-market trading.

About WinCo Foods

WinCo Foods began in Boise in 1967 when Ralph Ward and Bud Williams founded a no-frills grocery store named Waremart.

Important points in WinCo’s history include:

  • 1967: Waremart was founded in Boise.
  • 1985: Employees established the ESOP and acquired a controlling ownership interest.
  • 1999: The company adopted the WinCo Foods name after an employee contest and vote.
  • Current operations: WinCo operates more than 140 employee-owned stores and six distribution centers and employs more than 20,000 people.

WinCo is known for warehouse-style stores, large bulk-food departments, customer-bagged groceries, limited advertising, direct purchasing, employee ownership, and a focus on lower operating costs.

Most locations carry products and departments such as:

  • Fresh produce
  • Meat and seafood
  • Bakery
  • Deli
  • Bulk foods
  • Frozen foods
  • Dairy
  • General grocery items
  • WinCo private-label products
  • Household and personal-care items

WinCo Foods Reviews and Current Feedback Themes

Four reader submissions are currently visible on CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com. They include two critical customer experiences, one positive former-employee message, and one request for a new store location.

The current feedback concerns:

  • A dispute over a self-checkout item limit and employee treatment at a Twin Falls store
  • Meat packaging that allegedly leaked in shopping bags at a Puyallup store
  • A disconnected telephone number printed on a store receipt
  • A former employee expressing appreciation for recognition received after leaving the company
  • A customer requesting that WinCo open a store in Caldwell, Idaho

Four submissions are not enough to identify broad companywide complaint patterns. A concern involving one store, department, manager, employee, telephone number, or product does not necessarily represent every WinCo location.

Reviews are most useful when they include the store city and state, approximate date, department, product or service involved, management response, home-office contact, requested resolution, and final outcome.

Winco Twin Falls ID Disappointing Experience

May 9, 2025

Winco, Poor conduct of employee named Janie in the Twin Falls Store. A couple of weeks ago I went to the self check out and Janie refused to let me check out stating I had more than 15 items. I had several large items but the number had was only 14. I pushed the card to her and left and headed to Walmart where I don’t get treated that way. Today I went to check out and again Janie wanted to know if I had more then 15 items. I told her I exactly 15. I will start doing more shopping else where if this is the type of treatment that is part of Winco policy. I complained to the store manager after the first encounter but apparently nothing has changed. I usually go to your store three times a week but that may cange if nothing is done about this employee.

Winco Puyallup WA DIsappointing Experience

March 29, 2025

Winco, I know prices are going up and up everywhere, that aside. The meat cutters at my local Winco Foods in Puyallup WA # 0016, have started packaging their meats with mass amounts of blood in them! While some blood can be expected this is to the point of it leaking out and ruining our shopping bags we now have to buy in our state. I was so put off by this practice I wanted to talk to the store manager when I returned home. Low and behold the phone number listed on the receipts is disconnected! Really that makes me wonder if they are getting a lot of complaints lately! Very sad I really love Winco this store included but not having a contact phone number bothers me on many levels!
