Safeway scamming customers in San Francisco!

BEWARE OF SAFEWAY IN SAN FRANCISCO! Safeway advertise Pepsi / 7-up 12 packs in one ad for 4.99 in another ad for the same week it advertise the same Pepsi and 7-up 12 pack for $5.99. Store manager said it because in SF they have a sugar tax however in SF it dont matter if you buy the sugar-free or the sugar soda they both are the same price. So the scam is SF Safeway are taxing the sodas regardless its sugar-free or contain sugar!!! profiting on fake taxing for the sugar-free. this was told to me by a SF Safeway manager!!!

SF Safeway refuse to honor the $4.99 advertise sale price and there is no mention of different sale price for same item in the same week weekly ad!

total scam!!! time i go find a business lawyer and start a class action suit! Safeway frauding the consumers and robbing its customers money!!!! so BEWARE!!!

I would like a cake! I went to the store at 550 Bell Road in Phoenix to order a cake. The lady working there real tall older woman. Asked if she could help me? I told her that I would like to order a cake with a Rainbow on it. The tall older woman said that she doesn’t make Rainbow cakes. Go somewhere else. I said thank you and left the store.

Stopped Safeway - Finally resorted to shopping at Walmart

Pricing is never correct. Manager special pricing is rarely correct. UConn always misses something, then cashiers lecture paying customers about getting online to clip ( even though you did). Finally started going to Walmart. No online coupons, pricing is always correct, don’t have to stand in line at the customer service desk to get your money back right after you stand in line to check out. I now dislike giving Safeway my money more than Walmart. Never thought that would happen. Your Prescott Valley AZ store has some great employees. Most Managers and some employees there have no business being in a customer service position. Our cashier today was Cheri. She lectured us on clipping coupons online.

What’s next Safeway? We already are required to spend our time online clipping coupons on a site that usually doesn’t work. Then we get lectured by employee cashiers about not doing what we’re supposed to do to get the discounts. If we don’t want to deal with the cashiers we get to check ourselves out.

We are not your employees! We are paying customers. Bar code# 00105500100902401041104. Date 1-4-24

We’ve complained before about problems and praised some great employees. Nothing has changed at this location.

Who is this guy Sam there, and who does he know to be a manager? He belongs in a back room away from paying customers.

Ridiculous way to send customers running for the door.

Safeway HQ - Items not received and charged

I ordered my groceries online for delivery because I did not have a car and I never received a few items that I needed, I called customer service right away that day within an hour after the delivery, and this happened on the 8th of Dec.., and to this day I have still not received my refund, I got charged for items I never got, and every time I call they say wait 3-5 more business days and still nothing. I will never shop at Safeway again; they steal your money and items—very bad customer service.

Customer service and cleanliness

I worked for Safeway for 30 years and I was always proud to say I worked for Safeway. I was a deli mgr. for 27 of those years and ran a deli I was proud of. We gave good customer service and tried to help the customer however we could. In the past year, service has gone downhill and cleanliness and service are going by the wayside. For example, I was in the Frederickson store yesterday and wanted a chicken breast. I was told, “Sorry, we don’t make breasts on Monday when we have our dark meat special.” Another time I was in the store and it was 1:00 and I wanted a sandwich made. I was told, “Sorry, we don’t make sandwiches this time of day.” What has happened to customer service? What happened to Make the customer happy? What happened to “Give the customer the pickle? I went into the Spanaway store a few months ago and I was embarrassed for Safeway! That deli was filthy! You couldn’t even hardly see through the glass on the hot cases! The pans were encrusted with brown cooked-on grease. I don’t know how that deli passes the health inspections! I talked to the store mgr. for about 1/2 an hour and told him how to get the glass clean with hot soapy water and some elbow grease. My glass always shined. I went back into the store last week and no improvement. I will never buy anything from that deli. I live 5 min. away and won’t go in there unless it is an emergency. Some training on customer service and cleanliness will go a long way for your company. The way it is now I am embarrassed to say I worked in your delis. I have worked in 8 of your delis and I think a lot more attention needs spent on service and cleanliness. I hope to see a difference soon or you will be losing me as a faithful customer and retired employee.
