  2. to whom it may concern: I have a claim # 106830855039, and my adjuster name is delois pirtle. She not very happy to help me. she said she need to talk to the driver, and I can't fix my car until she talk to the driver. and the driver is hard to contact. she said she have alot of customer to take care. and I not the only customer. Therefore, I try to email to your office, I hope you can help me with this claim. safeco have a driver come to take pictures on my car. and give me a quote. I also have a quote from my car dealer. please call me back as possible. thanks

  3. I have had the same experience with them, very rude and ruthless business practices... would not accept the fair deal the arbitrator recommended, so we're going to court...in a year! This has dragged on for 3 years now...it is beyond a joke! These shady aggressive jerks should be locked up and off the streets!

  4. I WAS INSURED WITH SAFECO THRU ALLEN TATE INSURANCE AGENT. I ADDED MY DAUGHTER'S BOYFRIEND ON OUR INSURANCE POLICY, NOT KNOWING HIS DRIVING BACKGROUND. ONCE HIS RECORD POPPED UP THROUGH THE UNDEERWRITER, THEY CANCELLED MY CAR INSURANCE. WE WERE WITH SAFECO FOR 1 YEAR SINCE WE MOVED TO SOUTH CAROLINA. PRIOR TO SAFECO WE WERE CLIENTS OF STATE FARM (A TIER 1 COMPANY) FOR 20 YEARS WITH CLEAN DRIVING RECORDS!!! WE REQUESTED THAT SAFECO REMOVE HIM FROM OUR POLICY, THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT SINCE HE LIVED IN OUR RESIDENCE. WE AGREED TO SIGN A CONSENT THAT HE WOULD NOT DRIVE ANY OF OUR VEHICLES. WE AGREE & WERE VERY UPSET THAT THEY WOULD/COULD NOT REMOVE HIM FROM OUR POLICY. HE WAS ON THE POLCIY FOR 4 DAYS BEFORE WE WERE NOTIFIED OF HIS DRIVING HISTORY. THEY HAVE BILLED ME IN EXCESS OF $300.00 FOR THE TIME THEY SAY HE WAS INSURED, EVEN THOUGH AFTER THEY NOTIFIED US, HE DID NOT DRIVE ANY OF OUR VEHICLES. THEY ARE BILLING ME FOR 4 DAYS OF COVERAGE!! I AM REPORTING THEM TO THE INSURANCE COMMISSION AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND THEIR UNSAVORY BUSINESS PRACTICES! THIS INSURANCE COMPANY IF TERRIBLE!!! I HOPE THEY GET FINED FOR HOW THEY CONDUCT BUSINES & TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS!

  6. I loaned my son my car to pick up pizza. He was at a complete stop in the parking lot (tiny car) and a short guy in a big truck backed into him with his extended trailer hitch. The hitch on the truck punched a hole in the front fender and broke the bumper of my car. Immediately the truck driver started blaming my son for being behind him. Magically, the driver agreed to exchange insurance information once an adult family friend, in the same parking lot walked over to see the damage. Now Safeco insurance company only wants to pay 80% because "my son should have anticipated the guy would back-up his big truck without looking behind him first and move out of the way." Really?! What kind of logic is that?
    So my son is 20% responsible because he was in the parking lot? He couldn't move forward or backward. If he had moved, the bumper of the truck would have hit my car and caused more damage than just the trailer hitch punching a hole in the fender and breaking the bumper.
    My son was stopped to let another car out so he could take the open spot. Where exactly was he supposed to go?! The parking lot is SMALL, just like my car! I'm not out to benefit financially. I just want my car fixed back to the way it was BEFORE the Safeco insured person smashed into my car. Make sense?!

    Safeco requested I call my insurance carrier if I didn't like or agree with their 80/20 decision. I did call my insurance carrier and they said, "the 80/20 thing is ridiculous because now Safeco is not only making the guy who hit my car suffer by increasing his rates but also trying to make me suffer by reporting a claim to my insurance company which will make me lose my safe driver discount of about $300.00 per year."

    Per insurance adjuster:
    "Hi Cynthia, if the man was backing it should be his fault. It's the truck driver's fault, which is why people should park so they don't have to back out. It's better to back into the parking spot. At least you can see everything around you at that time."

    I'd like to thank Safeco for selling me on the benefits of dash cameras. If I'd had one in January they'd see their customer is a LIAR and was not paying attention to his surroundings when he backed into my car. Safeco needs to stop playing games, take 100% responsibility, and fix my car

  7. I was involved in a car accident March of 2014. I sought treatment at a Chiropractic & Massage Therapy facility. They called SafeCo insurance to verify I had PIP coverage (Personal Injury Protection). They documented SafeCo telling them I did have PIP coverage, when in fact I do not. A couple months of treatment in, and I discover that I do not have PIP coverage and now I'm stuck with a $700 bill from the Chiropractor. SafeCo flat out lied to me and denied having given that information to the Chiropractor. STEER CLEAR of this very dishonest and uncaring company!!!

  8. I was rear ended by someone with this insurance. The agent called once just before closing. When I called back, I had to leave a message. I was never called back. After getting the car repaired at one of their approved body centers, I called back about lost wages. I was not called back. On the third voice message, the agent in the DALLAS area finally called. I was told that do to the hours of the body center that they will not pay for "inconvenience".
    First, I was told “I” had to take the care to the center to get an estimate. They center gave me their latest time they would do this which happened to be while I was still at work. So I lost time work time there. Then, I am told I only got 3 days with a rental, which meant I had to drop my car off when they first opened to ensure a full day at the body center, otherwise, if I did it when I got off work, the shop didn’t have a full day to work while I was already being docked a full days usage on the rental for picking it up after work. I also had to wait while they took photos, checked car in and then turned me over to rental. So lost time there. Finally, do to other engagements after work, I had to leave early to drop of rental and pick up mine. So, more lost time from work. I chose a body shop that had a rental in it to “save” time. And then I am told it’s not their problem “I am inconvenienced.” The body center dictated when to come in for the estimate. The body center dictated when to drop the car of for repair. These were not times I picked. This was more than inconvenience.
    Plus the fact that I knew from the moment of impact that I had an injury, but choice to muddle through it and not seek help, hoping it would go away. This company is a cheap freaking joke. It has been recommended that I get an attorney. I will get nothing out of it personally, but it will serve a point. And like some of the other comments, the agent was very rude.

  9. My wife was in an accident where our car was total lost due to one of there clients failure to yield right of way and was sited for it. I was told Safeco would take care of us 100% lost of our car. I am a disabled Veteran and need my car of doctor appointments in Spokane and Seattle. My car was paid for and Safeco will only cover 3 quarter of my loss. Claim #215935026034 and Shandi was very rude telling me basically that it was my problem not their's. All I asked was to replace my car since their client was at fault. Apparently people at Safeco lie and wont honor what they say. At least I know what insurance company not to go to.

  10. Worst customer service EVER!!!! My claim was made in January 2016. To finish the claim we were asked for all the receipts which we sent in in May. The person assigned to our account, Michael Hoover, said he would get everything tallied up and determine if we were owed more and would be back to us in a day or two. A week later we started calling him and emailing and never heard a word. After a month of this we contacted someone else in the company who said that Hoover was no longer with the company. Apparently they don't reassign your claim to someone else and just hope you'll go away. We were told to send everything in again because they didn't know where they were. We didn't keep all the receipts after we were told that it would be a "day or two" to finish. We found everything we could and estimated the rest (we were told to estimate what we couldn't find). We were passed around to different people to handle the claim but they wanted more information from us, and then that person Winton Hart disappeared and wasn't returning calls or emails. Today we got the fourth person who said, "I'm afraid were going to have to start all over." WTF. Are you kidding me?!? Can't this company get their act together. We'll never get the money that is owed us. We are treated like we are trying to commit insurance fraud.

    1. worse customer service ever!!!!!!!! They wont let you speak with management or supervisor!!!!!!The corporate phone number is fake!!!!!! They dont answer it.... and it doesnt ring.... Spent 4 hours and never got anything done with anyone but lost my voice!!!!! They will delet this affraid of what is real and how they treat people... Been with them for 17 years of today closed it out...never a claim...So sad they treat people this way.. Do not deal with them WHAT SO EVER>>>>>>>>>>

I would like to have a supervisor answer my questions on how my policy was canceled with out my say so ? And how i drove pack from Florida with no insurance and how you will compensate me for your wrongdoing Thanks Mark

  14. My claim number is 039127909-01. I had a rental property fire claim with Safeco. My claims representative is Jason Strunk. He is the worst claims representative I have ever had or heard of. Rents claim have been delayed a big time. Each time I had to write, call many times in order to get a rent payment from him. He said that Safeco did not need to pay rent until the end of the month, not the first of the month. Per lease, the late fee for the 4 months total during the claim was $760. But he refused to pay late fees. I submitted an electric usage claim. He simply just ignored. When writing to him, most time he did not bother to return the message as if the claimant did not even exist. Submitted the electric usage claim at the beginning of June. Up to now, still no check and no response. During the whole claim process a claimant was being treated like a beggar with no respect.
