  4. I am sure that Publix must get a tax break from the Federal government for hiring the disabled and probably seniors too. Disabled people and seniors can always get help from the government, charities and family. What I would like to know is when are you going to start hiring younger people who need jobs to raise families. I am sure that you will get tax breaks for other segments of the population who need jobs too...felons etc. Publix you do a great job in many ways, but start helping other segments too.
    As an American corporation of your size you could lead the way to change the future of less fortunate people who have paid their debt to society.

  5. I think it's an awesome idea for Publix to set limits on their sales! This way, everyone has a chance to get in on the sales!!
    I know I'm not the only one who feels this way...I don't drive from store to store...that's ridiculous and unnecessary! You should only need enough to feed your own family....rant over!!

  6. Dear Sirs,

    Our Church's Youth Group planned a corn beef dinner for March 14th. One of their leaders spoke with a meat manager at least a month before. He gave her a price for the corn beef which was better than any other store in the area. So we planned on that price. Tuesday before the event she returned to the store to order the corn beef only to be told by the meat manager( turns out the first person was the assistant meat manager) he was not going to honor the price quoted. He told her the other person had no right to give her that price.(it was a dollar less). She was shocked. We needed 63 pounds. We were operating on a small profit margin. She turned and left quite disheartened. She went to a Winn Dixie near by and ordered the meat there and also purchased all the ingredients for the dessert.

    Not only did the meat manager at the Publix located on the corner of Rt. 41 and Corkscrew in Estero Fl. not honor a co worker's word, he made that person look like a fool. I do not believe this represents Publix's comment to customer service. I am writing this in the belief that headquarters would not condone this behavior.
    I am extremely surprise and disappointed with the conduct of an employee with that rank. I will not presume to tell you how to handle this, but maybe an attitude adjustment is called for and some retraining.

  7. please I love my publix but I been shopping their for over 20 years and yesterday for the first time I got some coupon from the front desk I try to use them and guess what they didn't honor them because the were expired even no the just gave them to me I was so mad so I left around 300.00 dollars worth off grosery cuss on huggies coupon they gave me a babyclub booklet I have twins and that was the only way it help to buy my baby pampers it was around hundred dollars I always spend on diapers

    I received your flyer in my mailbox dated July 16, 2015 thru July 22, 2015. In your flyer you listed the gatorade 64 oz. bottle as by one get one free. I went to my neighborhood Publix located on Country Club Plaza, 18496 NW 67 ave. Hialeah , FL. 33015, on 7-17-15 at 19:21, receipt # S0262 R106 1342 C0263. I attempted to purchase along with my groceries, 32 bottles of gatorade. I was told by the Grocery Buyer SERVERN JONES, that I was only allowed to purchase 10. When I indicated to him that there was no limited quantity displayed for the item, and that my brother bought 40 bottles at the Publix in Miami Lakes location, he told me he did not care. I have lived in Florida since 1988 and have always shopped in Publix. I like your prices and I like the way you treat your employees, which is why I don't shop in Walmart by the way. Please let me know if Publix has the policy of deceptive advertising or rogue store associates that do whatever they want. I always enjoyed shopping at Publix and look forward to your response.

    1. As a lifetime employee of this company, I truly apologize for the lack of service that you experienced in one of my stores. Yes, I did say MY stores because every single employee is a partial owner of this company. that is why I am so disappointed in that associate's lack of training and sorely needed coaching.

      We at Publix want to serve all of our customers as guests in our stores which is why there is a quantity limit of 8 in SC (not sure if Florida stores have a 10 item limit). We want every guest in our stores to be able to participate in the weekly bogo offers in our ad whether or not the local flyer states on each page that quantity limits do apply. I have seen the actual shelf labels that do indicate a limit enforced to ensure quantity on hand for all shoppers. If one shopper buys 20 or 40 bogo items, then the shelves would be empty and other shoppers would not have access to those sale items.

      I do know that in SC, you may purchase one bogo for half price while in Florida, you must purchase both items to have the cost of one removed. With that information about limits and pricing in mind, I hope you will continue to shop at our stores in Florida and enjoy the weekly sales that help every shopper maximize their shopping dollar. If you should ever feel that you have not received the highest level of service, please continue to go up the ladder of staff all the way to the corporate office in Lakeland. We will not rest until we have rectified the situation.

    I lived in Florida for 20 years and always shopped at Plubix.We moved to Seneca S.C. And at the time the closest Plubix was 35 miles away so we would go when we could.Until a year or two ago they opened a store in Clemson S.C. that's about 11 miles from our house and we shop there now and love it.But i just wanted you all to know about about 2 weeks ago i called and ordered 20 wings to be ready when i got there so when i arrived they had sold mine by mistake. The guy in the deli was very sorry and said he would start me a new order right away i said no prob.and looked around and picked up some other things. When i went back to get my wings there was a manager there and said how sorry they were and said that it would be NO CHARGE for the wings! I said that was not necessary but he insisted. This is why it is not a prob. driving 11 miles to shop at your stores. Thank You for always giving great service

I wanna know why? when my wife drops a script off there for needles for her RA there never ready when she goes back. she can wait hours or the next day and there not ready. also...when they ask her ..her info people are standing right next to her. isn't this a hippa law there? this publix lacks in there pharmacy department unprofessionals there!!!... guess we'll have to go some where else. this store is located on price and Toledo blade in north port fl

  12. I placed an order for diabetic strips. Medicare and my supplemental ins. pay for these strips. Each time I go to the Publix Pharmacy, 0784 I get the same run around. They want me to pay the amount that the supplemental policy pays. Recently it has gotten worse. They have not sent info to Medicare for the last 2 times I purchased strips. A young tech took my medical cards and claimed to have fixed the problem. He evidently didn't as it happens every time. Now Publix wants me to pay the amount that they haven't charged Medicare. Then to make matters worse they called my supplemental ins. and was told they had not paid anything on me since 2000. That had to be the Publix in another city before I moved to the current location. Medicare & my supplemental ins. have paid for my strips from day one. The woman at Publix 0784 said I hadn't paid my Medicare co-pay. I not only have proof that it is paid I have proof that Medicare & supplemental ins. have paid for my strips at Walgreens. I tried to explain the problem to the store manager but it is hard to make people understand how to fix a problem they have created. Now they've created a problem for me. They put through the last prescription but since they wanted me to pay for their mistakes I refused and left the store. Medicare will now say it is too soon to fill the prescription and I won't be able to get strips at any other pharmacy. I've tried to find out how to contact the CEO or someone with some authority at the Publix Corp. office but they seem to be in hiding.

  13. To Whom It May Concern:
    On January 15th I called the Pharmacy department by my house here in Davie, fl and had the worse experience I've ever had. I was treated very poorly over the phone and was giving a sarcastic reply, I'm hoping this conversation was recoded and will be review. I have an Autistic 8 year old boy who depends on medication in order to fall asleep. I called for a refilled as I do every time I'm down to 4-5 pills left. This Friday I notice I only had my last one and called right way and the Gentleman that answer was Extremely rude, arrogant, not helpful and asked me if this was an emergency to call 911. I told him that this was an emergency to me but that he was able to help me, He told me I should of had enough medication left, to call back Monday Jan 18th for a refilled. I explained that I couldn't have my son awake till Monday and that He need it the medication for his condition. We went back and forth for quite some time and He didn't offer options and was very arrogant and the service was beyond horrible, I asked to speak with a Manager and His reply was “I am the Manager”, I finally supplicate to please at least give me two and after all the aggravation he complied. Then I had a similar or perhaps worse experience last week with the same person. What kind of Leadership is this? Something needs to be done. I called CVS and within half hr I had what I need it. Two reasons for this letter, one I didn’t have to go through this once but twice with the same person and second for someone else Not to have to go through this unnecessary bad Experience. Never going to a Publix pharmacy again, This bad experience has left me traumatized. Thank You!!

  15. I have been a customer in the Fort Pierce Florida Publix located on South Hwy U.S.1 for over 17 years . In that time I have purchased rancid meat and moldy bakery goods several times . Please keep in mind that I am in this store seven days a week , and on some days twice a day. on each visit I spend on the average any where from $50.00 to as much as $150.00 + . I have never asked for my money back . I have however reported it to the acting manager at each time . Some of the employees are like family . Today was the last straw . I bought rice , brought it home and was attempting to prepare it for dinner . As I poured out the rice I couldn't help but see that it was filled with little black beetles . That was my limit . No more . Not only did I take it back to store , I chewed the manager out . There is no excuse for this . She offered to refund my money but I refused . I told her because of this I wanted to get an exterminator in the event They had infested my pantry . I did not hear her offer to pay for that , not that I would have excepted , but to offer would have been the right thing to do . To end this complaint I think if you don't have the store examined and do something about these problems ,I think that someone , (not myself) should report problems to The Board Of Health . Someone needs to address these problems . I will never step foot into another Publix again .And I know that there will be a lot of other costomers that will feel the same way .

I just have the most embarrassing moment of my life in Publix store in 9621 US HWY 1, in Sebastian , florida, get in a argument with one of the manager mane ELIZABETH, she yelled a me in front of bunch of people in my way out, just because I bought some frozen blueberries, that's in sale buy one get one free, I grab the last one , and the cashier charge me the full price for one, I did look the receipt, and I went back inside, and she said because was only one they charge me a full price, and I tell her that's not right, and them she start screaming in my face.

  17. The "new" store manager at the PUBLIX in Peachtree Battle in Atlanta is a joke. He won't HELP anybody. Even the check out folks will tell you that he is not well respected.

  18. I would like to know Publix reasons for terminating an employee. If you are a reliable employee, never call off, report as scheduled, look presentable, never take sick days and do more in your department than required, what more could they ask. Customer service seems to be more important than any of the above mentioned. You can only please some people, not all people no matter how hard you try. So if you have all the other qualities and try to do your best pleasing most of the customers, why would Publix want to terminate a good employee

  19. PRESCRIPTION MEDS: I AM QUESTIONING THE QUALITY of Prednisone Publix's is delivering to Patients, I am on my second prescription, this one is a higher dose. I am very familiar with Prednisone and never have back pain when I take it but am presently taking a large dose for another condition and have back pain and no relief of my condition for which Prednisone was prescribed. All and All it tells me I may be getting bogus poor quality. Pharmacy#1043. Please investigate.

I am very tired of buying something I really like, and come back to buy it again and it is a "seasonal" item and personnel do not know when it will return or what season it is???Also had an Easter dinner disaster when the cake I ordered a week in advance (the carrot cake torte), was told they would still be available March 31st, this was going to be a centerpiece and on that Sat I was told it was not sent from ,????, so I was w/o a cake the day before Easter. I love publix shopping and have visited several stores in the B'ham al area with the Hueytown and vestavia stores being my favorites. You should be able to ORDER your favorite seasonals even if they are not stocked on the shelves. Please try to address this aggravating situation

    I am very disappointed that you allowed David Hogg and his band of misfits to cause you to stop supporting an honorable gentleman, Adam Putnam, for Governor of Florida. I believe giving in to these ill informed teenagers shows a lack of courage and indicates that you do not stand by your principles. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Publix but I cannot spend another dime at your establishments due to your allowing these kids to determine who you support.

  22. Dear Sirs/Ladies,

    Per my doctor, I need to eat an avocado every day BUT… since 1997, when I moved to Florida, ALL the avocados which Publix supermarkets sell are Del Monte brand and ALL ARE BLACK INSIDE (PLEASE let me send you pictures of them -- they look ok on the outside but the inside is always black !!) AND THEY HAVE BEEN LIKE THAT SINCE I GOT TO FLORIDA IN 1997!!!

    The Calavo brand of avocados are much healthier and much better raised.

    It takes 10 YEARS for an avocado tree to give fruit and while Calavo does things right, Del Monte does NOT buy them from good Mexican farms buy just buys them from the cheaper Mexican farms which can sell them cheaper because the farms know they have a defective produce and that it takes TEN YEARS to grow more avocado trees !!

    You, Publix, have been saying you are going to fix the problem for over 20 years and nothing has been done!!

  23. I've for a number of years have shopped Publix through Instacart. You people make it clear you raise prices when shop online, from the already higher prices compared to other stores. So, I shop mostly BOGO to offset your greed. But, i've noticed more and more NON GOGO items being mixed in. Sad when you have to sink so low to 'trick' people to order more. Plus, I've also noticed each week there's more Buy two get one ETC plus, less and less BOGOs on top of that.

    You can do a survey as to how many don't shop Publix because of higher prices. Now your giving people more and more reasons to not shop at Publix, if this keeps on, I'll be one of them, you can count on it!
