Ikea Customer Service Issue Long Island NY

Rated 1.0 out of 5
March 25, 2024

Would not honor posted price – Long Island! The item iIwent to purchase had multiple signs indicating a discounted price. I confirmed the sale price via the price checker in the aisle. When I got to the cashier my total was higher. Both the attentdant and supervise confirmed the sale price …it appeared also in their pda. They shrugged their shoulders & said there was nothing they could do. The refusal to honor the price was mindboggling. Supervisor Kim needs lessons on how to work in a customer oriented environment. She was extremely cold and abrubt. I spoke with store manager Michael about the issue. He said (direct quote) that it is better to lose a customer than over ride a price. WHAT??? For grand total of $6? Well, Ikea you have successfully done what you set out to accomplish. Get with the program & stop pretending to have sales meanwhile ripping customers off. Very shady & disgusting practices. I guarantee you, the corporate office will not be upset that you tried to do right by the customer. Micheal kept referring to the fact that the store would be disciplined for taking such measures. Not buying the bs. I am a store leader at major big box retailer for over 20 years. We would never treat a patron in this manner. The issue was in the computer…something so easily fixed by overiding the price to satisfy & retain the sale. Where are your priorities Ikea? Do I need to spell it out? No customers = no sales = no profit.

IKEA Customer Service Issue

Lacking Customer Service!

After almost 3 months of attempting to resolve an issue, I am still getting the runaround. After repeated attempts to get a proper phone number so I can speak with the same agent in regards to my issue, I am told I can only reach them by email. I know this is because they want a paper trail, but to provide true customer service they should call me and then follow up with an email. IKEA doesn’t care about customer experience. The marketing is just that, marketing. When you do have an issue they want nothing to do with you.

Inappropriate IKEA commercial

I just saw your commercial and saw a woman breastfeeding her baby although I did not see her area, it’s very clear what she’s doing. She just has her shirt up and the babies eating I breastfed all my children. There’s a thing called modesty and privacy. Don’t appreciate your commercial shop at your store either. Have some integrity you don’t have to go with the way of the world what’s next?
