Expedia, Overbilled for recent trip! I booked a 5 day air and hotel stay for 9 people back in September 2024 for a trip completed on May 3rd of 2025. Back in September we paid for the trip in full. On April 27,2025, while an vacation we were charged via our credit card an additional $7,349.47 with no explaination. We have been unable to get anyone from Expedia to explain the charge or arrange for a refund. Its impossible trying to deal with countless people from their Indian call ctr. Numerous callbacks promised, Never Received!

Expedia Unresolved Disappointing Experience

Expdia, Misleading Experience and Poor Support, Requesting Resolution. My recent experience with Expedia has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Just two hours after attempting to make a reservation, I began encountering serious issues. I was transferred between multiple representatives, some of whom seemed to be using false names or had conflicting information. Hold times ranged from 10 to 20 minutes per call. I was told, “those priced tickets are all sold out,” and received conflicting explanations about cancellation and refund policies. Pricing on extras was unclear, and split billing with the airline made it even more confusing. Some representatives claimed they could resolve the issue, only for others to say they didn’t have the authority. One even claimed to be the “supervisor” and insisted there was no one above him to escalate the issue to. The refund process has been equally unclear and inconsistent. I was told by different reps that a refund could take anywhere from 24 hours to 7–10 days. This inconsistency, combined with unclear cancellation terms and shady billing practices, has left me extremely concerned. I’m not asking for anything extra—just a full refund for a same-day transaction where key details were either not explained or misrepresented. I would greatly appreciate someone with real authority at Expedia contacting me directly to resolve this. Thank you for your time.

Expedia Disappointing Reservation and Cancelation Experience

Hello Expedia Customer Service, I am writing to share a very disappointing experience I had today, April 29, 2025, with one of your supervisors. I live in the United States. I made a hotel reservation in Naples, Florida, but realized within minutes that I had booked the wrong property—it wasn’t in a convenient location. I called Expedia immediately to ask if I could cancel. The agent said there was a penalty, which I understood and accepted, but I made it clear that if a fee applied, I did not wish to cancel. Despite my request, the agent went ahead and canceled the reservation anyway. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told first that the hotel’s rate had increased by $99, and then that it had jumped by $200. In my frustration, I explained again that I never asked for the reservation to be canceled, and you can verify this on your call recordings. Unfortunately, the conversation escalated. I apologize for losing my temper, but the supervisor was extremely rude and unprofessional. He abruptly hung up on me, telling me I would never be able to book flights or hotels through Expedia again. To make matters worse, I then received an email confirming the cancellation and charging me a $206.46 fee—despite my explicit instruction not to cancel if a penalty applied. This situation is absurd and, I believe, unlawful. I clearly stated that I would not cancel if a fee applied. I respectfully request that you reverse the unauthorized cancellation, remove the $206.46 charge, and restore my original reservation. I also ask for compensation for the distress caused by your staff’s mishandling of my request. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to a swift resolution. Sincerely.

Expedia, Horrible “customer service”. I tried 17 different phone numbers trying to resolve an issue. Most calls—to Expedia— were answered by employees located in India!!!!!!!!Never Reached A Real Expedia Agent!!! Outrageous!!!!!
