Walgreens is headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois. The company was previously part of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc., but Walgreens now operates as a private standalone company after the Sycamore Partners acquisition of Walgreens Boots Alliance. The company’s current corporate structure is different from the older public-company structure, so older stock-symbol references and some older Walgreens Boots Alliance contact details may no longer be the best information for consumers.

Choose the Correct Walgreens Support Route

For Store, Pharmacy, and Customer Relations Complaints

Call 1-800-WALGREENS / 1-800-925-4733. This is the main Walgreens customer relations route for store and pharmacy issues.

For Walgreens.com Orders and Online Account Issues

Call 1-877-250-5823. Use this route for Walgreens.com orders, online account issues, shipping questions, online photo orders, and website-related support.

For Corporate Inquiries

Call 1-847-914-2500. This is the Walgreens corporate inquiries number. It should not be used as a substitute for pharmacy, prescription, store, order, or online account support.

For Walgreens Careers and Applicant Help

Call 1-866-967-5492 or visit the Walgreens Careers Contact Us page. This route is for applicants and general questions about career opportunities. It should not be treated as a general Walgreens human resources phone number for customer complaints.

For Privacy, HIPAA, or Health Information Questions

Use the Walgreens Privacy Office route at 1-877-924-4472 or the official Walgreens Privacy Contact page. Privacy and health information concerns should be handled through official Walgreens privacy channels.

What to Have Before Contacting Walgreens Corporate Office

Before contacting Walgreens corporate office, headquarters, customer relations, or a complaint route, gather the details that will help Walgreens identify the issue:

  • Store number, pharmacy location, or store address
  • Date and time of the visit, transaction, or prescription pickup
  • Prescription number, order number, or photo order number, if applicable
  • Names or descriptions of employees involved, if relevant
  • Receipts, prescription labels, pickup notices, emails, or text messages
  • Insurance, discount card, or rewards account details if they relate to the issue
  • Photos of damaged products, incorrect items, or documentation when appropriate
  • A short timeline of what happened and what resolution you are requesting

How to Escalate a Walgreens Complaint

Start with the Walgreens store or pharmacy where the issue happened, especially for prescription, refill, pickup, immunization, photo, or return problems. Ask for the store manager or pharmacy manager when the issue is local.

If the problem is not resolved at the store level, contact Walgreens Customer Relations at 1-800-925-4733. For Walgreens.com or online-order complaints, use 1-877-250-5823. If the complaint involves a broader corporate policy, repeated unresolved issues, or a headquarters-level concern, use the corporate inquiries number at 1-847-914-2500 or send written correspondence to Consumer Relations in Deerfield, Illinois.

For pharmacy safety, prescription accuracy, controlled-substance, HIPAA, or privacy concerns, document the issue carefully and use the appropriate official Walgreens route. Depending on the issue, customers may also contact their state board of pharmacy, state consumer protection office, or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for privacy-related matters.

Issue-Specific Walgreens Complaint Guidance

Pharmacy and Prescription Complaints

For prescription problems, begin with the pharmacy location involved. Ask for the pharmacy manager and have your prescription number, doctor information, insurance details, and pickup notices ready. If the issue involves a possible prescription error, write down exactly what was dispensed, what you expected, and what the pharmacy told you.

Store Customer Service Complaints

For complaints about store staff, checkout, returns, pricing, coupons, or store conditions, contact the store manager first. If the problem remains unresolved, contact Walgreens Customer Relations at 1-800-925-4733.

Walgreens.com and Online Order Complaints

For website orders, shipping, account access, online coupons, or photo orders placed online, use the Walgreens.com support number at 1-877-250-5823. Keep your order number and account email address ready.

Store Closures and Prescription Transfers

If your local Walgreens store or pharmacy closes, ask Walgreens Customer Relations or a nearby Walgreens pharmacy how prescription records are being transferred. Customers may also contact their prescriber if a prescription needs to be redirected to another pharmacy.

Careers, HR, and Job Application Questions

For Walgreens careers questions, use the Walgreens Careers website and applicant assistance number at 1-866-967-5492. This is the most accurate public route for job seekers. Customers should not use careers contacts for store, pharmacy, prescription, refund, or corporate complaint issues.

Scam and Fake Walgreens Support Number Warning

Walgreens customers should be careful when searching online for a Walgreens corporate office phone number, Walgreens complaint line, pharmacy support number, refund number, or HR number. Fake support numbers and sponsored search results can appear for large pharmacy and retail brands.

Use Walgreens.com, Corporate.Walgreens.com, the official Walgreens app, or the phone numbers listed on Walgreens’ official help pages before sharing prescription, health, payment, rewards, or account information. Be especially cautious if a caller asks for gift cards, remote access to your device, banking passwords, one-time security codes, or payment to “release” a refund.

Current CorporateOfficeHeadquarters.com reader comments include individual experiences involving pharmacy wait times, prescription refill problems, incorrect items, refund disputes, rude or unhelpful employee interactions, store closure concerns, and inconsistent communication from stores or pharmacies. Walgreens Lecanto FL Incorrect Prescription Dispensed

November 11, 2025

Walgreens, Incorrect Prescription Dispensed (Lecanto/Beverly Hills, FL)

I recently visited this Walgreens pharmacy and was given the wrong lancets, even though my correct machine information was already in their system. To make things worse, I was charged for the incorrect item and then denied a refund. As a retired individual who must budget carefully, this was both frustrating and disappointing.

When I tried to discuss the issue, the staff blamed my doctor instead of taking any responsibility. I understand mistakes happen, but shouldn’t they have noticed the error and contacted the doctor before dispensing the product? Instead, they charged me, refused to correct it, and left me with a product I can’t use. I’ve been a Walgreens customer for over 45 years, across different towns, and have never been treated this poorly. I felt unwelcome and even discriminated against. It seems like the knowledgeable, caring employees who once made Walgreens dependable are no longer there—replaced by staff who appear detached and unconcerned. All of this over $10.59, yet it’s about more than the money—it’s about trust. This was my first time purchasing diabetic supplies, and I trusted the pharmacy to help me. If I had known the lancets wouldn’t work, I never would have left the store with them. I am requesting a refund and will also be contacting my doctor about this issue. Unfortunately, after how I was spoken to and treated, I will no longer be returning to this Walgreens.

Walgreens Pharmacy Holland MI Disappointing

June 17, 2025

Walgreens, Pharmacy service is the worst ever experienced. Walgreens, Pharmacy on Washington Avenue in Holland, Michigan is incompetent. Week after week, Month after month they notify you your prescription is ready. When you arrive they tell you, not ready, come back tomorrow. You return the next day or two and again they cannot fill your order. Walgreens seems incapable of running a pharmacy.

Walgreens Goldsboro NC Pharmacy Experience

May 28, 2025

Walgreens, Pharmacy Experience – from 0 Stars to 5 Stars for Walgreens, Goldsboro NC! 0 Stars, but thanks to three individuals, however, my experience ended with 5 stars, thanks to Ryan, who provides 100% customer service: ..I was a pharmacy client of a small, local, independent pharmacy that closed, and all customers with active prescriptions were transferred across the street to Walgreens;…went into Walgreens and set up as a pharmacy customer; got two prescriptions refilled;…last week, I went online to have a third prescription refilled, but I couldn’t because the Walgreens site did not recognize the prescription number….last Thursday, I went by the drive-through twice in an attempt to get the refill, before and after grocery shopping, and the line was long and not moving, so I left….yesterday, I called Walgreens (within 2 miles of my home) only to find that they were closed (later was told it was due to the internet being out); so I called the Walgreens in town and was told they would have the prescription ready at noon….around 1-1:30, I went into town to pick up the prescription, but was told it would not be ready before 3 p.m.; I asked if they would transfer it to the Walgreens near my home and was told that they could not do that–that I would have to go to that store and have it transferred….I called my Walgreens to have the prescription filled and was told that there were no refills and that I would need to contact my doctor for a new prescription–I explained that I had never had to do that for a refill, but the girl talking was short and not interested in further discussion. …went into my Walgreens to the “Consult” window to ask about having the prescription transferred–by now it was about 2:30-2:45 and no one was at the counter or waiting in line–later saw two individuals who had been waiting in the chairs….as I was discussing my issue with an exceptionally well-mannered professional staff member, Ryan, and showing him the last refill prescription box showing 16 refills left, this guy (Casey) spoke loudly to him to move me to the pickup counter–we moved even though at that time, no one was in the pharmacy area other than me and the two individuals who had been waiting in the chairs;…Ryan pulled up the prescription and asked when I needed it–I stated I would wait–I shopped around for a bit and then went back to the pharmacy;…as I am standing back away from the counters, another girl behind the counter told me to come to the counter–I told her I was just waiting and she told me to have a seat–my hip doesn’t like getting up and down, so I continued to stand….when Ryan realized I was there, he checked and my filled prescription was in the stack waiting for me; he checked me out for the $1.98 prescription….the lady who had been sitting in a chair waiting since before I got there, got up and went to the counter.

I wish I had gotten the name of the other women I talked with during this time, who gave me incorrect information. I also wish I had spoken to the pharmacy manager about Casey–his tone and words were rude, unnecessary, and he had no right to chastise a co-worker publicly. Ryan, being the professional that he is, took up for Casey when I asked for the guy’s name–he said Casey was only trying to keep the “consult” window open. I understand that, but we were not blocking the window–no one was there. We would have moved anyway as soon as we finished the discussion and found that I could get the prescription filled.

Walgreens Wynnewood PA Disappointing Closure

May 22, 2025

Walgreens, Doesn’t make sense! I guess it is understandable that you are closing some of your stores, but what I don’t understand is why in the world you would close a Walgreens located in a hospital? That doesn’t make any sense to me at all. The hospital is Lankenau in Wynnewood, PA! Why would you now inconvenience patients and others from getting Rx filled, vaccinations, etc?

Walgreens Frustrating Pharmacy Issues

March 25, 2025

Walgreens is over rated, everyone has chosen to use Walgreens as their pharmacy the employees are overwhelmed with customers that they can not keep up with the supply nor demand. Employees tell you a few hours to pick up, make it days later. The system is not contacting all the time it is very inconsistent, Employees do not call if their are issues with your meds they wait till you get to the pharmacy to tell your insurance will not cover it, they don’t know why, it is truly not in order. I do feel for the employees but their needs to come a time to say we can only take on so many customers not 300 and tell me it can be 3 bours and I am still waiting for prescription’s and it has been 6 hours and still waiting. This is not the first time this is over 7 times. We need to come up with something better than this , when someone has surgery in the morning and needs prescriptions for discomfort, prevent infection and reduce spasms and you cant get anything due to your too busy that is sad and neglect to your customers. This is not for me this is for family I am waiting continuously for a let down. I have been on the phone 3 times today in the past 6 hours. We don’t need pictures for proof just pull up clients and view when the prescriptions were put in and how long it took to fill. We can’t say someone needs medicine for a reason and not be able to provide the help. Sad!
