I have a problem with ACE aka DANJOR car rental in Montego Bay. After renting with these people for several years, my last and final rental with them was February 26, 2015. Upon returning the car they attempted to charge me for a house that separated from the key which happened the same day the car was rented I tried opening the trunk and it happened and they had to send someone with a replacement. The replacement key only could be used to drive the car but the electronic buttons were not working so they had to leave me with the original housing to be able to operate the electronic part. I argued that the key was old and so was the car and then, they charged for paint which peeled off the bumper. They claimed the bumper had a scratch, not a dent, and it caused the paint to peel. This was not so, and so I was charged 70.00 for this even though I had purchased CDW from them. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ACE/DANJOR/ Wayne, the owner and his company again. I recently went back to Jamaica and rented with AVIS rental. What a great experience I had. Had a 2015 car and such great customer service.
I also have a problem with ACE I returned my rented vehicle on the 24th of July we were proceeding to the airport when we were shuffled back to rental agency and was told we were smoking in the vehicle which was a outrageous statement. At that time they would not release our luggage and held us hostage. We were forced to sign paper which will be a 250.00 fee. I was told they could not smell smoke but found a ash in the vehicle. This turned out to be a heated conversation which we were being accused of tying to hit one of the agents. My husband was locked in the vehicle for almost 15 minutes they would not let him out. Jacksonville police were summoned to location the officer listen to both parties and we were told we can leave and that they had NO RIGHT TO HOLD US. Im sure they wanted us to miss our flight home but thanks for the JUSTICE from the Police Department we were given a ride to the airport from them so we were able to make the flight home. ACE RENT A CAR 1759 AIRPORT RD JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA PLEASE BEWARE!!!!! this location was the worst experience. I will never recommend them to anyone they should be SHUT DOWN!
On Wednesday, 6 Jan 2016, I waited curbside for their Denver shuttle at 745pm, but it did not come. I called 2 times before their 8pm office closure and no one answered the phone, or was there a voicemail to leave a message. I finally reached the manager and he (and his staff) happily left me at the airport without a car. I will never rent from Ace again, and I suggest you avoid ACE like the plague. paul h schwartz
This is the worst car rental company i have ever used. customer service was really bad. they hide everything in the small print which is set up to take advantage of their customers. they seam not to care if they get repeat business. even calling corporate they did not care. I am going to contact the better business bureau and also let every one i know not to use ACE CAR RENTAL.
If you return a car early they charge you a penalty more than the actual rental rate. Then closed out they the account before they explained this to me.....and then when they gave me the paperwork and I told them I would just keep it for the rental period they said they could not do it because the account was already closedout. I am currently contesting the charges with my card. company. Never using this company again!
i feel your pain this is the worst company i ever had to deal with they are hard up foe money and business
this company is the worst don,t rent from them or you will be very,very sorry. forget about contacting there home office for any help there is a bunch of pirates there also.if they get your money you will never get it back instead they will give you a voucher. so you have to use this company how sad that a company would stoop that low.my advice it save yourself a headache and don,t use them.you know that old saying pay me now or pay me later.and be stuck also the home office the people there are arrogance as hell.
I booked a car reservation through Expedia and the rental company was Ace I was guaranteed a price of $171.06 from Sep 1- Sep 8, 2016. Upon arrival in SAN Diego California Ace location I had to wait some 30 minutes to be helped. The guy who helped me was not very polite nor did he make my arrival welcoming. After telling him I had a reservation he looked at our bagge we had sitting outside and told me there was no way our stuff was going to fit and I needed I bigger car. After I told him I didn't want a bigger car because he wanted to charge me more he became very stern about it and was persistent on the fact after a few minutes of arguing back and forth and my children crying because they wanted to go rest I was so frustrated and felt like I had no other choice. I walked out of there spending nearly double what my internairy said. I was extremely disastfied with my experience with Ace and hope that you can make it right. I don't understand how I can be told one price then it doubles. Ace should have some guideline as to how their employees treat their costumers I felt like I either had to take the car and pay more or stand there and argue with a deamading ignorant man.
I HOPE SOMEONE IS READING THIS BECAUSE I AM TOTALLY UPSET ABOUT THE WAY I AND ANOTHER CUSTOMER WERE TREATED AT THE ATLANTA AIRPORT. WE BOTH HAD CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS. BUT SINCE WE DID NOT HAVE OUR OUTBOUND TIX WITH US THEY WOULD NOT GIVE US THE CARS WE RESERVED. THE LADY AT THE COUNTER WAS CLUELESS AND LEFT THE SCENE AND HID IN THE BACK. ALL SHE KEPT SAYING IS SOMETHING ABOUT PAPERWORK…BUT THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THIS ISSUE ON OUR RESERVATION OR WITH ANY OTHER CAR COMPANY! ALSO ANOTHER MAN FINALLY CAME OUT AND SAID HE OWNED IT….BUT HE WAS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO CALL THE POLICE BECAUSE WERE SO UPSET! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE YA THINK??? WE ENDED UP LEASING FROM ANOTHER COMPANY AT A HIGHER RATE BECAUSE IT WAS "DAY OF". I AM GOING TO SEND LETTERS AND WRITE REVIEWS SO NO ONE EVER USES THIS COMPANY. FURTHERMORE…IT SEEMS YOU REALLY HAVE A PROBLEM SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS ALREADY! I AM SICK ABOUT THE WAY YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS AND DO NOT TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS. IF I RAN MY BUSINESS LIKE THIS I WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS!!!! TAKE HEED!!!!!!
Know exactly how you feel.Ace charged $250 fee because the car is being dropped at a different location.COMPLETE RIP-OFF !!!!!Greedy people who have no compassion for their fellow men !!!!!Will never use this Company again.We will file a complain with the BBB
