  1. Service at your joint stinks. Food at your joint served cold. Servers unable, or unwilling , to deliver proper order. Servers dirty and in need of shower. Your people unable to make proper change. Dining experience led to stomach ailment. Never eat your joint again. How do you stay in business?

Coming home from a business trip we came in and were seated, The waitress, a heavy set woman with a bandage around her wrist served coffee to an individual two times about 15 feet away and was really chatting it up with him, She served the people in booth right behind us and never looked at us or asked if we wanted water. The table was filthy. We were toitally ignored not only by the waitress but every other worker in this Coco's. After about twenty minutes or so of being invisable we left at 5:58 PM on Monday September 16th, 2013. No one even looked up to acknowledge us as we were leaving. We love our Coco's in Cerritos California. We went to Carl's Jr down the street and were treated with attention and respect. .

  3. Was assisted by Cynthia/Manager at Lodi CoCo' and found her to be utterly rude to the extreme. Coco's should be completely ashamed of her customer service skills and that she is on your payroll. The was no sign to wait to be seated and I was carrying heavy equipment so I headed toward several empty booths to choose one to sit in. Cynthia came running up to me and said in a lod voice for all to hear"Uh Uh Uh Uh". I was shocked at such a rude attitude. I asked her what she needed and she said "YOU CANNOT JUST SIT DOWN!!" She only got worse and more rude when I politely mentioned that there was no sign and that I was carrying heavy articles. I left to eat a fine meal elsewhere in town where I was greeted in a friendly manner, received excellent service and had a wonderful steak dinner. Cynthia should be ashamed of herself.

  5. Dine at Coco's in Melrose and vista way was badgered by waitress who does not know me about my husbands dead dog. She did not give me the receipt for the visit and I had to return to complain about her behavior being in instigator. Got my part of money back. Manager was sorry. Will not go there anymore. The whole thing was so embarrassing to me because the waitress was loud and did not stop badgering me in front of other custumers.

  6. I ordered on line instead of going into your store it was easy. I go to the Vista,Ca store and am happy with your steak and prime rib menus a great surprise and excellent value! The Vista store is needing a face lift it is old looking and pretty dirty, walls, etc. At night you are lucky if they notice you are standing there really bad unfriendly service. There used to be a bubbly older lady there guess she left :( Now there is this unfriendly African American lady she makes you feel like you are bothering her, I have almost left a couple times when I came in late by I love your food! And I was hungry :) Tonight there was a delightful young man named Steven he said he was covering and normally works in Palm Springs what a joy he was! They did not have my order ready when I arrived for pick up he was very apologetic and made me feel at ease he apologized and he was on it and said he will figure it out and make my order work he did with a smile and confidence. I told him his demeanor was appreciated and welcomed and that normally the service is awful! He apologized and said he had been complemented a lot at that store sounds like many were happy people happy to get good service that we are not used to :( while he was helping me and others multi tasking (again we are not used to that there, normally you are left standing there for 19-29 minutes) he did everything with a smile and with professionalism and this woman that works there the unfriendly one kept telling him what he was doing wrong in front of customers interrupting his conversations with his customers, Extremely unprofessional :( He maintained a great attitude I felt sorry for him here he is covering for a store giving 110% and this other co-worker is trying to undermine his composure wow! I complimented him again I also work in a department that is a "service" department he handled it well he said he loved working for Coco's it showed give that man a bonus, I will pay for it! I wish he worked in the Vista store I would go more often! I live alone and sometimes like to relax and have someone else do the cooking, but I also don't want a sour face looking at me! :( my daughter used to work for Coco's when she was in High School back in 2003ish please make your Vista store more comfortable to look at and be in, at the very least that other woman needs "customer care" classes but if she worked for me I would have written her up! Her attitude sucks and she was speaking to her co-worker with complete disrespect in front of customers! Maybe she was threatened by his professionalism something she is clearly lacking!
When I got home my "Wedge Salad" was missing bacon a huge part of that great salad :( that woman was in charge of getting my Togo meal ready :( she was so busy telling Steven off in front of me she left my salad incomplete. I called the store and told Steven he said he was sorry and he defended his co-worker saying it was a busy night and she tried to do her best under pressure he apologized for her, what a guy! AGAIN PROFESSIONAL! He could of thrown her under the bus and didn't! Wow promote that man he's a keeper!

  7. Based on all these comments Coco's it sounds like Customer Care classes are needed that would put you one step up, your foods great now you just need good quality employees to enhance, not sabotage your hard work to make your establishmentshipment a "At" place! I would love to help anyway I can!

Our Widowed Person Services Club was in need of a new location for our weekly meeting/social gathering which encompasses a 3 hour time span. Coco's has a very nice rather private area set aside for such occasions. Our server Fe was gracious and very accommodating to our group of 14. Everyone was very pleased with the food and although my steak was initially overcooked; it was corrected promptly upon bringing it to their attention. We greatly appreciate having a really nice, clean and cheerful establishment to meet our needs in the Sun City area and highly recommend to other similar groups. Definitely worth a second look!

  9. I am not a complainer most times, but I am very dissapointed in the Coco's in Santa Rosa Ca. A good place to get a really good meal, how ever you can't get that meal if no one even comes to seat you or take your order. This past Sunday evening 7 ish I went there like I do everynow and then for dinner and I stood there at the podium waiting to be seated and for at least 5 to 6 minutes I never saw one employee anywhere, not even in the kitchen. One customer was seated at a booth and was waiting. Looked like the resturant was deserted. I left and went to Dennys , not because I wanted to but because I didn't get any service . I have never had a problem when I go there, it's close to my home and since my husband passed away two years ago I depend on Coco's for alot of my meals.

  10. We have visited your Cocos restaurant in Bermuda Dunes multiple times.
Every time we go, it's extremely disappointing.
Last time we went for breakfast, it took 10 minutes for someone to come and bring us coffee after being seated.
    (The restrunt was not busy)
We ordered immediately after which we never saw our waitress again & did not see our food for 35 minutes! Eggs & bacon came cold! (Will not pay for cold food & we waited long enough!)
Nobody came to our table after coffee untill cold food came.
We got up & asked for the manager who was unavailable & then walked out!
We feel your employees do not care about their customers!
We seem to be the last thing on their minds,
and even though they're very happy at work, decent service is not available.
We will never go back again!
From the other reviews I've seen, it looks like this corporation is brain dead from the top down.
I don't know how you guys can survive!

  11. Yes. upper Management needs to meet on a regular basis with restaurant managers & staff to ensure proper treatment of customers! Customer service goes along with good food. Even if food is OK, bad attitudes & service will cause your customers to go elsewhere. There are plenty of good restaurants in CA & elsewhere to choose from!!

  13. Posted this today on Coco's F/B page...Maybe this will generate some "customer service" response..............On August 28/14 my wife and I visited the Tustin Coco's for dinner. Below is the complaint I sent to Coco's as a result of that visit. As I write this.. 09/08/14.. I am still waiting for some one from the restaurant to contact me. Apparently someone told the company that they called but the person who answered did not speak English so they could not leave a message...but they also said they left a message???? 2 things..both my wife and I are fluent English only speakers..2nd... person said they left a message, then says they couldn't leave a message...................................My complaint filed online.........................."What an absolutely disastrous meal!!!!

My wife and I both ordered the prime rib special. MISTAKE. When the meals came they were cold. The butter wouldn't even melt on the vegetables so we sent it back.

Now why are meals were gone, we heard a waiter apologizing to some other customers, telling them that it was the cook was the morning chef who was training for evening meals!

Anyway, our meals came back..not a heck of a lot hotter!

In addition to the meals being cold, my wife had ordered hers medium well. As she said.."It's still mooing".

We ended up leaving most of our meal...paid and left.

A very bad experience which we shall share with our family and friends.

I'm a senior who is on oxygen life support..it is very seldom I go anywhere..but this evening my wife and I decided to dine out. Poor choice on our part!

I want to say that our server, Amanda D., was very good. This is not her fault. It is the fault of management for not supervising a trainee.".............................................................What a waste of $34.00!!!!!!!!!!...................I gave them one star only because it does not go lower.

  14. I went to our local Coco's today in Arcadia, Ca on Colorado Blvd. I wanted a chocolate cream pie for our
Thanksgiving feast. When I initially walked in, the male employee barked at me that pies were being sold in the back room. He was clearly annoyed tha I was a pie customer. The blonde woman running the pie sale made it clear that pies should have been pre-ordered and that she was inconvenienced with walk-in customers. She said pies must be purchased 1 to 2 weeks in advance for holiday sales. I just saw a commercial on tv advertising your pies and it clearly states just come in and pick one up..... nothing about pre-ordering.
It's a shame your employees don't care about customs.

  15. I hate to complain but this time I feel like I have to! I don't even know where to start. My friend and I both latinos where waiting to be seated, had already been waiting a good 15 mins. A couple walks in both American , it takes about 1 minute for them to be seated right away basically, as this is happening the waiter just acts like me and my friend arnt there and dosent come back to seat us! I have never felt so discriminated against in my life That I just had to leave before I got up on this guy's face!. This guy did not even look like waiter material baggie pants on, long shirt that was half tucked in, and a bunch of tattoos! ! Never will I come back to eat here!

  16. My wife and a guest and I went to the Broadway location in El Cajon on Feb. 15, 2015 for the $15.99 special of steak and lobster. I was told they ran out on Valentines day, and come to find out later on that they started selling it the Monday before Valentines, so it's no surprise they were out of it. The "Manager" named Miguel could care less, and was very rude. The waitress never even came back to the table after I complained to the manager. It was 30 minutes later before we were able to try and order something. We ordered 2 12 oz prime ribs and an 8 oz, when they finally came they were cold and tough, and the waitress never even came by the table to ask how the meal was. We were screwed out of $53.00 for an inedible meal. There was no apology from anyone when we left. Besides horrible food the service was worse. I emailed the corporate office the day after, and never even received a reply or acknowledgement. Don't go to their restaurant, it is a rip off and they could care less.

SO I TRAVEL UP THE STREET HEADING TO COCO'S....CAN'T WAIT FOR THE ORGANIC COFFEE!!! THE MENU HAD SO MANY NEW CHOICES IT TOOK ME AN EXTRA FEW MINUTES TO CHOOSE....I SETTLED FOR THE BACON & EGG FLATBREAD....THE DESCRIPTION SOUNDED YUMMY... HERE IS WHERE THE STORY TURNS BAD....I SHOULD HAVE HAD A CLUE SINCE THE WAITRESS HAD TO BE CORRECTED ON "MIS-HEARING" MY CHOICE...

AFTER WAITING AN UNUSUALLY LONG TIME FOR OUR FOOD TO ARRIVE - THE SAME HARD OF HEARING WAITRESS CAME AND OFFERED AN "EXCUSE THE WAIT" PITCH...ONCE THE FOOD ARRIVED MY FOOD WAS NOTHING LIKE THE MENU SUGGESTED!!!

THE FLATBREAD SEEMED LIKE IT WAS SIMPLY REMOVED FROM THE PACKAGE....IT WASN'T EVEN HEATED....THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MAYO - IT WAS MISSING....AND THE REST OF THE CONDIMENTS WERE NOT EVEN BROUGHT TO THE TABLE SO I COULD FINISH THE PREPARATION MYSELF!!! I HAD ALSO ASKED FOR COUNTRY POTATOES....THEY WERE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS "MESS"!!!

I HAD TO BRING THIS ISSUE TO THE ATTENTION OF THE WAITRESS AND THE "MANAGER" WHEN HE RANG UP OUR BILL AT THE END OF THIS TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE.....THE ITEM WAS TAKEN OFF OF MY BILL BUT I STILL WANT TO LET YOUR CORPORATE OFFICES KNOW THAT THIS WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING OFFERING PUT ON A PLATE FOR A CUSTOMER TO CONSUME AND THEN BE EXPECTED TO PAY FOR!!!

I USUALLY ENJOY MY TIMES AT COCO'S....UNFORTUNATELY, THIS MAY HAVE BEEN MY LAST VISIT!!! I'LL MAKE SURE TO INFORM MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF THIS AND SUGGEST THEY GO ELSEWHERE....AND I FINALLY GOT TO THE AGE WHERE YOUR 55+ MENU WAS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!

  18. To the new owners of Cocos and Carrows.....YOU SUCK!!! Everyone needs to know how wrongfully you have treated the employees who have dedicated 150% of themselves for many years to Your newly owned company. Im a spouse of one of the many people whom you "let go" without any probication im shocked that any company would do this. You have destroyed the lives of many good people whom did not deserve this kind of treatment and i can promise you that this WILL come back to you in time!! Karma will catch up with you and destroy you as you have destroyed these good people. I will tell every single person i know just what kind of company you are and how you have treated people and destroyed the lives of these hard working dedicated people without any notice or reasoning. This will be advertised so your customers will know exactly what a rotten company you are!! Karma will get you in the end and thats a promise!!

Main St., El Cajon, Ca). every Sunday, only to find out the store has been closed due to rental increase. this store always had the best food and service. My heart goes out to those who have lost their jobs and livelihood. I hope the landlord reflects on what this has cost our community.

  20. My wife takes me to breakfast on Veteran's Day. She and my daughter don't like the food, but this my choice... Near home and after eating military food for 25 years, put enough hot sauce on anything and it is good. There was a new staff and a big help wanted sign in the window. (Monterey, CA). We didn't go there for any Vets freebies... And I do eat there usually once a week...but, with the previous staff, who knew me and I always got a military discount, which I added to it to give the waitress a 20% tip. This particular day, a small sign on the table (maybe 4x6 inches) said a free piece of pie for Veterans. I asked that my pie go to my daughter, to which, and I presume he was the new manager, quite upset demanded military ID cards..., now the card said Veterans, not Active or Retired, who would have ID cards. When he brought out our drinks, I had placed 3 military ID cards and one CAC card on the table. This upset him more! The new staff could not cook, my wife cut over half the fat off her steak, and my daughter's Gouda breakfast sandwich was taken home for our dog, which the previous staff knew I always brought treats to my dog. Again, the manager seemed quite perturbed that I had the audacity to take my dog the food we would not eat. As this was my wife's treat, my daughter and I went outside, as there was standing room only ... In a restaurant not quite half full. My wife came out, rather upset and said the 2 or 3 dollar cherry pie, which if it had more than 5 cherries and the rest was enough sugar flavored cherry filling to put one into a diabetic coma, was our military discount... Again the new manager was condescending and rude to my wife for asking for something this restaurant chain has given me for 5 years, which I give to the waitress. This day there was no tip! And my wife made it clear we would not return. My wife quoted the "gutter Spanish" used to belittle her to the predominant Mexican staff, who had a good laugh at my wife's expense. He didn't expect her to be a Spanish Professor at the local Department of Defense school. She corrected his border language, paid and left. In no way did I want or expect a free piece of "watered, or sugared down pie", which said in honor of our Veteran's... Not card carrying, senior officers. Monterey nearly went broke when Fort Ord closed... I was a commander there and firsthand started my day with a pile of complaints from local businesses about (mostly) 18 and 19 year old men who would blow their money (illegally) in massage parlorss and bars who served underage soldiers, then had the bouncers throw out (now broke) soldiers... And I will add a large percentage went to Panama, and finished their careers in Iraq and Afghanistan. I listened to the local businesses cry their song of bankruptcy when 7th ID left the Monterey/Seaside/Marina area, and held my laugh inside. Now it starts again, soldiers are denied a discount, yet pay tourist rates at restaurants where the owner pulls up in a red Ferrari to explain military discounts are only off tourist season. The local military installation is "monetarily raped" by a large percentage of businesses that dare to fly our flag and post signs supporting our military. A new Congressman is on the horizon and I will make it an effort to see if this installation can be moved, to where it should be, Ft, Huachuca. If this happens, your nearly double priced McDonalds and like establishments will go under and the overpriced restaurants will may make some money during their legal theft called "tourist season". Oh, the $3,000 dollar rents will also end as a housing bubble like 07 will likely hit. Now, how do you want your free pie on Veteran's day?

  23. We live in the Sun City Grand area in Surprise Arizona. Cocos is our go-to choice for great bakery and food. This location is right on the golf course with great view.
My following comments are intended for the corporate office. This location is in need of new booths. Most are sagging and broken down. You also need an overhaul of employees starting with the manager. Keep the cooks and replace all other workers. This location would be woe the putting a few dollars into. Hop to it and we will be loyal customers!

  24. Last evening my brother and I whom are both seniors went to the Sun City, Ca. Coco's. We waited about 8 minutes to even be noticed. We were seated and told a waitress would be right with us. About 15 minutes later a waitress as if anyone had taken our order. We said know and we still have no drinks. She said she would see who was our waitress. A few minutes later Monique came back and said I guess I am your waitress. We gave her our order and she got our drinks and a basket of bread. From there on out it went downhill. From another booth I heard a man say is anyone going to wait on me. My brother and I had ordered soup with our meals which finally arrived and was barely warm. Another 25 minutes went by and our senior cod dinners arrived. We both had cold cod and baked potatoes. My vegetables were cold and wouldn't even melt butter. We were so hungry that we went ahead and ate our food. In the meantime my brothers coffee cup and my ice tea had been empty sitting at edge of table and no one bothered to refill them. The manager was walking by and I asked to talk to her about service and meal. She immediately got defensive and said our waitress was new. I said everyone has to start somewhere but as management someone should be helping trainee. She then said I will comp your dinners. I said I wasn't asking for that I just wanted to talk with her. She said well I can see you've already made up your mind. We were there at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening and night manager's name is Nancy. I have no complaint about Monique our waitress at all. She was overloaded and not being properly supervised. Coco's should be ashamed of this managers customer service. Very Rude. I have never sent a complaint to any restaurant in my entire life but I feel like I have to this time. I live here in Sun City and have gone to this Coco's since 1993. I will not return. Shame of her.

    1. Forgot to add to above complaint that manager went and got me another cup of ice tea but when I looked at cup it had lipstick all around one side of the rim which I showed to waitress when she did come back. I feel she didn't get a new glass and gave me one that had been used. I do not wear lipstick. Horrible experience. Horrible manager.
