I shopped at King Soopers Thursday morning and was surprised to see a meat cutter standing at a check line in his frock, and 2 weeks ago a meat cutter was outside in his frock smoking a cigarette. Aren't they suppose to leave frocks in their work area before leaving on brake or standing out side.You know this is a HACCP rule, maybe they should revisit food safety.
I just purchased cheese that should have been sold by Feb. 15, 2017. Ruined my whole meal. Very upset.

I had the WORST experience at Kingsoopers on Parker and Peoria. The cashier was friendly but these 2 managers were just horrible. I had a coupon that was 3.00 of any Playtex item (excludes 20 ct. liner). Cashier scanned my coupon and then the manager was like no let me see that, he said you're clearly misusing this coupon. He says it clearly says you cannot use this coupon on a box of 20. I replied and said it says 20 ct. liners, it says nothing about tampons or pads, clear as day in fine print the only thing it excluded was 20 ct liners nothing else. He said i am the coupon guru i know what it says and i know you cannot use it on 20 ct anything. So this other manager comes up and was like oh those are already cheap so you shouldn't allow it. And he replied with oh i'm not she's not getting anything. I have never been so embarrassed, i felt like he was trying to belittle me. I have NEVER had this problem before, i hear stories about other peoples bad experiences and now i have my own. And the poor cashier was stuck in the middle of it. She read the coupon out loud and he said nope i'm not allowing it. She apologized and i left.
I don't mind My name being known Theresa L Hardy, I'm dissatisfied with fact that with chip feature the insist I use my card as debt when it has the visa logo. I still use it at other stores as a credit card with the chip. Two of my cards are not enabled with a pin number one is an out of state card that I receive money in an account so never set up a pin since it cost to use atms here and second one I had pin compromised on before. Just tried to buy $200.00 dollars in grocery only to be told if you have a pin for that card you cant use it.Guess what I will shop else were even though Kings Soopers is right out my back door. Cashier was very rude about incident and honestly fee sorry for gentle man behind me as now someone had to remove all the groceries. ([email protected])
I have been a loyal customer for over 2 decades at my Thornton K.S. store. Recently my 20 year old son applied for a position as a deli clerk at the 136th + Colorado store.He was encouraged to apply by a store manager who frequented his part time day job at a nearby gas station because he has previous experience operating a meat slicer.During the hiring process, my son informed the store G.M. of his hours of availability, (mainly the only days he couldn't work were Fri.+Sat. nights) After giving 2 weeks notice at his day job,he went in for training and found the only days he was scheduled were Friday and Saturday nights .Speaking to get G.M., he was told that he would have to quit his other job to accommodate the PART TIME hours @ K.S. Now he is scrambling to get hours back at his other job as they've hired a replacement for him. I doubt this is within corporate policy. Being a single father, this impacts me too, as I rely on him paying rent monthly. How the hell can someone demand he compromise a previously held job for part time hours and no benefits? I will be spending my monthly grocery budget elsewhere and encourage my friends and family to do the same.Shame on you,King Soopers, for allowing such a power tripping control freak to operate your store. The Kings in Greenwood Village did the same to my dad, who was already working a full time job with the city. They expected him to quit that job to work 20 hrs weeks as a CC.Kings is horrible to employees, that's why they don't care about their work.
This store discriminates only in the past two years. They discriminate against people with disabilities as well as older people and yes these are employees and former employees. If they don't like you they will harass you till you quit. This store needs to be investigated on how the management treats their employees. They degrade the employees in front of customers and try to bring up trumped up charges that are not true. Then they to find a way to fire you if you do not quit like they want.

I've shopped at King Soopers my whole life, usually at the same store in Commerce City, the one off of HWY 2, I think its about 64th never had any problems, clerks are very nice, always bag my groceries and offer to have someone help me out with them, never any complaints if I have any coupons.This weekend I went to the newer King Soopers in Commerce City, off 104th and Chambers because I only needed a few things, but of course came out with more than a few things. The way this one is set up you have to unload your own groceries which is not a big deal, but to my surprise there was no one to bag the groceries and put them in the cart so grudgingly the clerk bagged some of them and left them on the bagging area, but left about half of them unbagged and handed me my receipt and said have a nice day, so I asked well what about the rest of my groceries and again she grudgingly bagged the rest and tossed them to the end of the bagging area while I put them all in my cart.So my question is, when did it become the customers job to bag their own groceries?
The pharmacy at the store at 28th and Quebec in Stapleton is awful. On 2 separate occasions, they did not fill prescriptions my doctors had called in! I had to call 3 separate times. I will write a letter to their headquarters and file a complaint!

Extremely disappointed with new 'Cheese Shops' in King Soopers stores.This "New York" cheese company could turn rats/rodents away. I was in a "Youngfield KS", (CO) , and watched one of the workers unwrap a moldy round of cheese, SHAVE OFF THE MOLD FROM HALF OF IT, re-wrap the cheese, relabel it, and put it back in the case. I wasn't in my usual store at Arvada, 64th. I just thought "Oh, Lord! I hope they never come to my store." Sure enough, this Saturday, the huge red and gold sign was up, and the CRAPY cheese store has moved in there, and the other cheeses are GONE.I bought "Applewood Smoked Cheddar" every single week. It was expensive for my budget, but .. it was the ONE treat that I became 'hooked on' because it is so good. The CS desk told me "All the cheese is still the same." That is absolutely not true. It is not. One of the new people there, offered me a pc of 'similar' cheese. I could not taste anything. Nothing!She asked me if I'd sample 'a stronger' one. I politely said "No Thanks," and stepped away. I have asked WHICH KING SOOPERS stores would still carry THAT particular cheese. No one could answer. I feel it is pathetic, that this so called "Big Corporate Decision" was made, bringing in a non-Colorado company, and replacing the best cheeses on earth, with a mess of crap! The cheese Saturday, was not arranged neatly in the case, and it all looked the same. From watching the Youngfield store a short time ago, taking mold off (about half of the round), and putting it back in the case turned my stomach. When mold is that thick on cheese, the spoiling has well begun.How DARE they?So, tonight, I looked at Amazon, and sure enough, there is my cheese, for $44.00 for 3.5 lbs, with $16.00 shipping, total $60.00. So, guess what?I will cut out everything I can get by without from my KS shopping list, so I can still get the Applewood Smoked Cheddar, and hope I can freeze portions of it. And, needless to say, I will never go NEAR the new cheese shop there, or anywhere else.The BIG Corporate decision was a bad one. The cheese is not good, the employees ae not skilled, the cheese is a joke, and no matter how 'BIG" the corporate decision was, it was a bad one. I'm thoroughly disgusted with "KS", and hope I can find a better place to buy food. Each week, I buy less, and the bill constantly goes UP. I will no longer shop at KS now that every store requires a PIN number for debit. I have shopped there for over 10 years, but I refuse to set a PIN on my cards, therefore they have effectively shut me out.
I was at the Starbucks inside the red cedar location and was told I couldn't get a refil of my coffee and without the associate calling the manager he came and told me I had to leave the store. I wasn't yelling or being offensive, I was simply telling the associate I deserved and was eligible for a refill. I was so embarrassed and shamed. This is not how you treat customers.
I am very upset with City Market's decision to discontinue Purdue individually wrapped chicken. It is perfect for working mothers trying to feed their family quickly and economically. I understand that they will replace that item with Red Bird individually wrapped chicken which I already know Red Bird is a lot more expensive. There goes the economic side of the picture. I am already shopping less and less at City Market so if these terrible decisions continue eventually I will no longer be in your store.
What in the hell! I had just moved to a new house, there is a King Soopers within walking distance so I thought I would give them a second chance being that close. Things have not changed in 10 years when I stopped going to King Soopers the last time. What is up with the volume of the music in the store? It is way too loud, I have been to Best Buy that were not as loud. Shouldn't the music be background noise? People go there to shop not dance. The isle were lined with empty boxes, some broke down some still in box shape some had one or two cans in them or half full of product. Yet there were no workers around cleaning up. Instead they were a few isle over singing, dancing, grabbing their crotches and joking around. I was unable to get to the milk and butter because of all boxes and pallets lining the isle. When I did find someone walking the isle to ask for help I was told that they were not on the clock and could not help me at that time. Is that a blow off or is there some policy in place that says an employee can not help a customer when they are off the clock. If such a policy is in place should the workers be making a line out there door instead of jaw jacking with other employees?The first jar of spaghetti sauce I pick up had expired by two weeks, not yesterday but two weeks ago. Should expired items be taken off the shelf? I guess the workers are to busy dancing to do something like that. What a sorry meat department. I could not find a rib eye steak anywhere, let alone someone to help me get the cut that I wanted. All the sealed packages of ground meat, beef, chicken, and turkey were bloated, like some sort of gas build up. Are you trying to make us sick?At this point I start to leave the store and as I walk past the checkout area I see a line of people wait for the self checkout lanes. No one working a regular checkout where one would put the purchase on the convener and a King Sooper employee would scan and bag the items. There was only one person "working" the self checkout lane. He was reading the paper instead of helping people. At first I did not think him an employee since he was not wearing the blue polo shirts like the other slackers I saw roaming the store. The only reason I was able to tell he worked there was the portable scanner he had slung over his shoulder.These type of occurrences do not occur at one or two stores. Ten years ago I thought that was the case so I went to several stores in the Denver metro area to see the same thing over and over again. With my job I am allowed the opportunity to travel the Front Range of Colorado and took this chance to stop at several King Soopers and City Markets and I have seen the same type of thing every were I went.With the lack of neatness and lack luster costumer service I wonder how King Soopers and City Market stay in business. I will do every thing in my power to avoid your stores and tell everyone I know to do the same.
My daughter works at the Cheyenne King Soopers. She is also in college while working. She works a lot of hours despite going to school, and is constantly stressed. When she tries to call out from being sick or just for a break, they threaten to fire her. Every night when she comes in, there is so much work left over from previous shifts. She never has time to get things done and then it all falls on her. I've told her to quit, but she wants an income while in school. I don't think anyone should have to deal with that treatment. Nor do I believe a college student should be punished for putting school first.
I have been a loyal King SOOPERS customer for over 20 years. Why is it that you feel that it is okay to continue raising your prices but you never have enough help in the stores? Why should I continue to pay these prices and then I have to bag my own groceries? It is very frustrating! I know my grocery bill has increased say least 20% over the last year and I get less and less for that increase. If I continue to experience this, I will be taking my business elsewhere. What happened to companies that care about their customers? Pull you head out King SOOPERS!

I just returned home from shopping at my local King Soopers in Lafayette on Baseline Road where in the past I have spent hundreds of dollars monthly on groceries. The store is consistently understaffed, the customer service poor and the store is not as clean as other King Soopers. That said I have shopped there for strictly convenience. Today was different. I have never been so insulted in my life grocery shopping as I was today checking out with my groceries at self checkout. Self checkout is already the process that it is, not great. The attendant however, singled me out and while not helping, stood right over my shoulder uncomfortably close and to the exclusion of all other customers to be sure that I was paying for my groceries. Unbelievably, I am not making this up. I am a middle 30's white, professional, caucasian female on my way to work. I asked if I had done anything to warrant this and he answered "no, it's just his job to watch." Meanwhile other patrons are looking at me as he has created a scene. Meanwhile I am still just trying to pay for my groceries and get to work. I have to call a manager over to assist me in getting the man running self checkout to back off. The manager apologizes. The self attendant checkout person, is standing near by watching our conversation, still with aggressive body language. I pay for my groceries. I am shaking I am so insulted and upset. The manager takes the self-checkout person briefly into the back room. I temporarily hear load voice and he's back on the floor working with other customers? I go to the bathroom to freshen up and re-center after that unnecessary, and unwarranted experience before work. I head to my car 15 min later than planned, after having had to take the time to deal with a manager in order to not be harassed while paying for my groceries. Insufficient response by King Soopers management. A women should not be harassed in order to pay for her groceries. Hands down worst grocery shopping experience ever.

Normally shop at the store in Highlands Ranch/Quebec street. For a long time noticed that is under staffed, disorganized and the stress level on the current staff are to high. Even though they try to alway help you could clearly notice that they are not happy. Also the huge turnover of staff in the last 18 months is a clear sign the this store has management issues. I do not expect King Soopers to do anything about it, as usual, but I already started to shop at Safeway and Costco and the experience is very much pleasant. I guess the executives in KS adore so much greed, that they have no care of respect for the staff at that store.

Recently I discovered that KS is now making bacon donuts. I am deathly allergic to pork and so I asked what kind of bacon they are using in the bakery area. When I made comment about the risks of such a change without informing the public the clerk told me that it wasn't pork - it was bacon and that can't be an allergen. SILLY ME. Bacon must now be it's own animal.? No more KS bakery items of any kind for me or my household - any of my friends who are allergic to pork and a heads up to my Jewish friends as well. Very disappointing. Shopping elsewhere to protect my health and safety.

back years ago king soopers was the place to buy grocery but now its the place not to go this company raises prices almost daily example cheep trash bags was .89c a day later .99c two days after that on sale for $1.00 normally $1,09 at least 20 other items the same most items I compared was higher than safeway or Walmart buy at least $1.00. their meat is substandard compaired to safeway and yes even Walmart. Kroger needs to step in and completely take over the operation. king soopers also violates the ADA laws as confirmed by the Colorado labor dept and the us labor dept king soopers will force these employees to quit don't shop at king soopers and support a terrible place to work Kroger help this company out before its to late
my son works for kings and as of 2/23/2017 has not received his w/2 call corp. and they say come fill out paper and come back in 24hrs to pick it up this is totally against the law they make there own rules they should be fined for this bad company to work for unless you sit at a desk at corp quit blaming it on the post office and get them out before you hear from the IRS
I have been shopping at store #72 for many, many years and for a while considered it one of your premier stores. However, recently, (perhaps the last couple of months, or so), I have witnessed an overall decline that saddens me a great deal. Quite often now the shelves are not stocked and there are large empty spaces on the shelves instead of many of the products I need. It is very discouraging and frustrating because then I am forced to travel to another store and hope that store has stocked these items. In addition it is pretty evident that the morale of the workers is down. The happy, friendly, smiling faces have disappeared. Very striking for a store whose motto is "Our People Make a Difference." I am wondering what has happened and I am seriously considering switching stores. I hope the problem can soon be remedied.

I have commented twice on my survey about a contractor for king soopers and not ever addressed by store manager asked a few employees there and not one of them heard of my issues. I was told due to the first survey by a assist manager that the store took a hit for my issues and I should have addressed them in person, could not find a head clerk or a manager to address had to call on my way home. This happened at 6-7 at night you would think there would be head clerks up front or a manager not one to be had. Employees standing around and talking to other employees for the most part. There contractor emotionally spit on me and didn't care while taking up and breaking the law by parking in handicap spots. Me and my husband are both disabled veterans and the contractor didn't care about that or anything else while laughing at me for actually saying something to them. Now King Soopers is doing the same thing by not addressing the issue and telling me I shouldn't have commented on the survey my issues, well I just did again another survey and I bet not one person will care or fix the problem going to corporate in Ohio to address my issues. Lack of store management, help and law breaking contractors, what else is being done in the back to cover up things.
This horrible company and store does not deserve your business or money. The management/supervisors are beyond rude, especially the store manager John Casados. If he were to talk to the customers like he talks to his untrained, unsupervised, disrespectful and unhelpful employees I am sure beyond a doubt that he would be facing a discrimination lawsuit. He is a pure Nazi who puts NO ONE else first, except himself. Why are employees not included in OUR VALUES: Integrity, Honesty, Respect, Inclusion, Diversity, Safety. As a former employee who was just fired within the first week because the schedule had been changed and was not told about the change here is a direct quote for new employees, "I know it can be tough as a new associate, you are going to have questions and that's okay. Your management team is here to answer any questions you may have." And yet when I asked a direct question about my schedule change to the Store Manager John Casados, I was told, "You can consider yourself separated from the company!" WOW! On the first day, within the first hour I had 6 different employees approach me and tell me to "get out while you can because the management is horrible and lacks communication". One of them was my direct supervisor Anthony (Day Grocery Supervisor). No wonder there is such an extremely high turnover of employees at this store and customers are not getting the service they pay good money for. I implore any and all who consider to grace this place with their presence to please give your business elsewhere. I also encourage the company to contact me to learn the truth about Store #083, if they truly want to hear it, which I highly doubt.
I have shopped at the store located at 8200 S. Holly for over 2 decades & the night manager Derek they hired is the worst. I have witnessed him yelling at customers & degrading them. He even called one OLD to her face. I have witnessed him yelling & degrading the employees. There have been several times I have confronted him & I swear I have smelled liquor on his breath. I feel he shouldn't be a manager.I am thinking about shopping at Safeway from now on if King Soopers continues to let managers act like this.
Employees at my local King Soopers Highlands Ranch, University @ HR Parkway) are trying to accommodate our request but a policy from "higher ups at corporate" are impeding their ability to do so. A few months ago the Boulder Boulder Chorizo disappeared from the shelves. We complained and the meat dept manager ordered it. However, they are not allowed to put out on shelves so it therefore doesn't sell. Today I went to the store, asked at the meat counter for it and they didn't have it because...if they CAN'T PUT IT OUT then nobody knows they have it and IT DOESN'T SELL!! Someone needs to give them authorization to stock it and put it out for customers to buy. We've been told at both King Soopers and Safeway that the product is a good seller. Guess I will be purchasing mine at Safeway since it is now such a hassle to get it at KingSoopers.

I was at the King Soopers off of 64th and Sheridan and overheard one of the head clerks by the name of Nikki belittling one of the courtesy clerks for having a seizure. This head clerk did not care that the clerk had suffered a seizure the night before, she just wanted her to work faster. How can someone be so hateful and uncaring? Are these the kind of people that King Soopers hires and promotes?
A manager at the 120th and Colorado BLd. location was harassing employees as they were trying to do their job. Instead of letting them do their jobs she was bothering them while they were helping customers. Customers had to wait for her to come assist them because the cashier that was covering self checkout was on break. They had to call her twice to get her to come over and assist people. She is very rude to not only the employees but to customers as well.
Employees at the King Soopers located in the Hancock Plaza are rude, unwilling to help, and entirely incompetent. I used to shop there multiple times a month and have had the disatisfaction of their services on multiple different occassions and will from now on have no problem shopping elsewhere. Maybe better training not only for customer service, but on job requirements, duties, policies, and job execution are required.
Sunday, Dec 3 2017Unbelievable discourtesy, lack of critical thinking, and very caustic demeanor at KS Pharmacy Mission Trace. First, to be clear, A HEART MED is sent electronic by a Dr.P repeatedly throughout the year. I was in the hospital one time in Oct and a hospitalist Dr K filled just one of the scripts. It was for a different dosage. I got that one filled but said the Dr.P my regular physician usually sends the script over. I also talked with a (courteous) Pharmacist who helped figure out the medication dosage with remaining med s I had. He also knew the meds came from Dr. P as my regular physician. Dec 01, I came into the store to find out why the HEART MED was not filled. The Pharm Tech. claimed it could not be filled because they had sent 8 requests over a 2 week period. (( Not at any time did they question there was something wrong with their request. NOT at any time did they think of calling me back to see if there was information they were missing.)) I said I'll call “Dr. P” showing my phone open on the counter with Dr. P name in large print. The Pharm Tech looked down at the phone and then up at her computer screen. She said NOTHING about any other Dr. involved.. Dr. P office told me they received nothing from King Soopers AND they send the script over already via electronic process. I shared that information with the Pharm Tech and asked her about their attempts to fill the HEART MED. NOW the Pharm Tech said it was sent to Dr. K. I asked why she would do that when I informed them the script comes from Dr. P. She stated the last Dr. is the one that gets called. BUT I said Dr. P not Dr. K and you said nothing back to me while I was standing here. She kept repeating the last physician process automatically kicks in. I said unless you tell me that you are sending to the wrong Dr. I have no idea what you are doing - I cannot see the computer screen and no one said anything. She then gave me the excuse that some people are new. She was not new to the job. Then she blamed me for not telling them but I did inform them, someone dropped the ball. The rudeness from her includes bad attitude, constant interrupting to talk over me and when I became visibly frustrated the young asian pharmacist threatened me. I said to him, if they would just listen to what I was saying instead of talking over me or cutting me off, there would be better communication. I could not get that sentence out and he interrupted me again with poor excuses. The Pharm Tech insisted on blaming me and the Dr. office. They insisted their mindlessly repetition of 8 requests in a two week period for a HEART MED to the wrong Dr. was not their fault and perfectly justified. I am astounded at the self-justification for poor service - blaming the Dr. Unbelievable! These people are dangerous. I'm going elsewhere.**Note: After talking with three other Pharmacies, I was told they get new customers from King Soopers with similar complaints. Oh well, they lost me as well.
