  1. I encountered a very unprofessional and unapproachable Store Director at the South Coast store in Costa Mesa. I shop there all the time but when I needed a Manager's attention for a purchase, she came down and was snotty as heck! I can play snotty but it should not be her demeanor to customers

  2. Ladies...beware of Chanel in Nice, France! Remember to get (2) copies of your receipts! One for your own records and one to give to customs to collect your VAT tax. You are required to send in an original receipt as they will not accept copies! I purchased a bag from the Chanel boutique in Nice, France, and later attempted to get a second copy of my receipt sent to me in the US. The sales associate, Nathalie, first told me that they do not provide two copies, but then later said that it was my fault and that I should have asked for another copy. I was told that the only way that I would get a second copy was to visit the store again, that they were unwilling to send me a copy. I never did get a call from the manager after I was told that I would. Today I phoned customer service in NYC and was told that they would not be able to assist me and that I was on my own trying to get this. WOW...this is how this global organization treats their customers! Coco Chanel would be appalled at the treatment that I have received!

  3. I find it totally offensive that in today's day and age a company like Chanel has to revert to chauvinism to sell perfume. The Chanel #5 commercial, and yes I use the product, states "you better shape up cause you need a man" REALLY - this is quite offensive. I use the product to make me feel good and I don't have to shape up/ make up/dress up or anything else to get a man.

  4. I have been a customer who buys Chanel products on a very regular basis. My usual practice is to purchase from the boutiques inside Neiman Marcus or Nordstroms in my area. I recently decided to open an online account to purchase my cosmetics for convenience due to having had recent surgeries and the fact I haven't been able to drive. I placed six orders in about a 35 day spand and ultimately would have continued to purchase online if I had not experienced some significant issues with the Customer Relations personnel. I was promised that Chanel would send my purchases to my shipping address which differs from my home address. I even received an email regarding Chanel's promise to send all packages to my shipping address. I have e-mails that state my shipping address will be used even for the gifts that Corporate sends in appreciation of our loyalty. I have been lied to, promised return calls by Kandis (Associate Service Leader), and Shannon B. (Supervisor in Customer Care)to no avail. I even received a Fed-Ex left on my billing address front porch, where someone could come along and taken the package! I have been given over-night shipping codes that do not work, as well as had my Discover Card run twice for the same amount causing the fraud department to contact me. Quite simply, THEY DO NOT CARE! Horrible attitude and they make no effort to resolve the issues. The Customer Care Representatives do not care about our business and therefore, I intend to make it known to all of my friends and to their Corporate Offices. I also intend to blog about this situation to warn others. If you wish to give me your input for my blog, please reply to my post.

    1. I'm having problems with customer service too, i asked if I can buy a replacement box and case for a Chanel pearl necklace that had been lost! I spend thousands with these assholes and they were very rude, and dismissed me and my problem! Please tell me more about your blog, if you need my help count me in!!

  5. I recently went into our Chanel store, within the Dillards store at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, KS, to purchase my face cream (Le Lift Crème Riche). The very nice lady talked me into trying the night cream as well (Hydra Beauty Crème Riche). Unfortunately, the Hydra cream is not working well for my very dry skin. I have been calling ALL DAY today to try and reach someone at the Chanel counter to ask if they allow exchanges on products patrons are not happy with, for another product, as Estee Lauder does. However, after 6 calls so far, I have been unable to get anyone to answer their phone. I am VERY frustrated and have decided if I can't get someone to answer TODAY, I will give the cream away to a friend and never use Chanel products again.
