  1. I was recently in your Chattanooga, Tn store where I was not allowed to use the restroom after buying several hundreds of dollars worth of clothes. There is not a restroom anywhere nearby because this is not in a mall. I will not return to this store. I consider this very rude and inconsiderate customer service.

  2. This is the most god awful shopping experience ever. It takes a month to get the items your purchase and over 6 weeks to return anything.. then they reimburse you for half of the items you return.. 100 calls later and they only reimburse you for 1/4 of the return. Customer service is the worst. This is the worst nightmare shopping experience in the history of online shopping. Shop anywhere else.. I could have flown to China to return these items in person and collected monies owed before JJiLL handles this.. STAY AWAY from this company

  5. I have mentioned this many times before, including to your marketing director (directly, by phone) more than a year ago. I want to go on record as saying that your policy of charging $10 more on any "women's" sizes is outrageous! No other company does this. They perhaps charge $2 or $5, but not $10. There is not much difference in the amount of fabric required in a size 1X or 2X or even 3X so that you would add that $10. If someone buys an XL for $89, and I am forced to pay $99, then I will shop elsewhere -- which is why I used to buy a lot from your company and now buy very little. In fact, I get so angry when I get your emails or catalogues, I am ready to ask you to stop sending them. I don't want to feel cheated by a company I buy from. There are too many choices out there.

  6. The manager or male employee at the store in the Christiana Mall J Jill in Delaware, is extremely rude and pushy. It makes me very uncomfortable to shop in that store because of him, which is sad because I enjoy your clothing.

  7. a complaint regarding your store at Crocker Parkin in Westlake Ohio. I stopped in yesterday morning Saturday June 23rd and the two sales women were very rude and condescending. Looks like it is a pattern with this chain. types". It made me feel very uncomfortable and I left the store feeling as though I was being profiled based on potential income level and or age.

  8. I live in Lansing, Michigan. There is a J Jill Store at Eastwood Towne Center; a five minute drive from my house. I get the catalog at my home as I have for years and I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on clothing because J Jill has terrific fabric, colors and designs. Imagine my shock, upset and disappointment when I discovered that the brand new store, right in my area does NOT stock plus size clothing- even though the catalog offers items all the way up to a 4x. My size, it turns out, is just over the sizing line from "normal" sizes that Eastwood stocks. The decision comes from the corporate office about what sizes they will send to what store. Now, I'm a whim-kind-of shopper. If I have a trip planned or a party to attend, I'll go out and find something perfect a few days before the event. I'll drop a few hundred dollars on the clothing because I can afford it. I have tried four times to go to my local store and GIVE THEM MY MONEY and they still are not stocking plus sizes. In contrast, they have 1/3 of the store filled with Petite clothing- most of them on sale; a giant clue to any idiot who knows how to stock a retail store that they over purchased that particular size category when they can fill racks with what DID NOT SELL. Here's a newsflash J Jill Buyers ( who I am guessing are mid twenties and size zero)- the AVERAGE American woman is a size 14. The word "average" indicates that it is the middle of the sizes available and that means people were buying MOSTLY 14's and UP or 14s and down. That grasshoppers is NOT petite. The average height of American women is 5'5".THAT is NOT petite. I exceed that average height by a few inches. I also have money and am over 60 years old. I like your clothing, I like the classic styling and the quality fabrics and for someone who can afford to not dress like a bag lady, J Jill would be my first choice for shopping. So, as you sip your green kale morning cleansing shakes in your Massachusetts headquarters and pretend that you have a fucking clue who your customers are when you randomly decide to ship tiny clothing to the four Lilliputians who might live somewhere in my area, remember that I am sitting in my home, NOT spending my wads of money at your store because you bitches have decided that you do not want my money. You bitches have decided that plus size women should not be able to walk into the Eastwood Towne Center store and do their favorite impulse, last minute shopping at J Jill. And no, I don't want to order from your catalog and wait two fucking weeks to get my purchases delivered "for free". I want my clothes NOW and you have them sitting in a warehouse somewhere wanting to come home with me. Or maybe they are not, because there have been countless times when I went to order something from the catalog and found out it was SOLD OUT, and on BACK ORDER for weeks in the future. That doesn't seem to be the case with your tiny sizes since the stores are flooded with those sizes and filling the discount racks. Wherever you got your degrees in merchandising (online school?), THEY LIED. If you've sold out of an item in certain sizes and colors then THAT is what you should be buying MORE OF and making them MORE available to customers. Wake up or you'll lose me forever and all the other women like me, 1X, over 60 with good taste and money to burn. And hey, there are 25,000,000 of us right now and OUR Average size is 1X.

    1. I was at the Forum on Peachtree Parkway, Norcross, GA, this past week and wanted to share what a great experience I had at this store. I had numerous returns that I ordered on line due to a weight increase. Everyone was friendly offering to help me, but it was Carleen Tabb that took her knowledge of style and sizing to make a real difference. In fact, I purchased several items that made be look slimmer until I can get some pounds off. How fortunate J. Jill has someone like Carleen helping folks in the stores. Knowing the products, sizing and talent for sensing a customer's need is truly a rarity. Thank you Carleen for caring.

  9. I love your clothing, but your shipping charges are just too high. I ordered a blouse made of a gossamer material and had to pay $10 for shipping, which keeps me from shopping with you as often as I'd like. My local store doesn't have a large selection of sale items, so I prefer to shop online, but that shipping charge can sometimes be close to the price of the item. Doesn't make sense!

    1. Shipping charges begin at $11.95 in my area but items ship free if you order from the store... which happens to be a 25-minute inconvenient drive from where I live. Ridiculous!!!

I shop at J Jill quite often and wanted to write to make a few suggestions. Although I like the style of the clothing in the store could you think about lowering the necklines to either scoop or v-neck? Most of the tops have very high necklines and can be very unflattering to someone like me who has a full bust. Also, since J Jill is streamlined to the middle to older professional woman, could you please offer cardigan sweaters with short sleeves or three quarter than can be used in the workplace, especially in the warmer months. Thank you!

  11. I have shopped at J Jill for years. I am happy with the quality of clothing. But, the management of the San Antonio stores is lacking and has been for a long time. I keep thinking it will change but every time I go into a J Jill the staff always seems irritable. Or, they are all talking over the customers about things they have to do or issues with the store. Usually poor attitudes and management start at the top, with the sales people following. I try not to go in the stores but sometimes I've exhausted all other choices and end up there, only to be reminded of why I try to avoid it.

  12. I shop at the J Jill store located at the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough MA. I have been shopping there for several years and love the styles and quality of the merchandise. As much as I love the merchandise, the team at the store is so inviting. When entering the store everyone greets you with a smile, the sales staff are knowledgeable about the merchandise and are able to answer questions. I always look forward to visiting that store even if it is to check out the new merchandise. It is evident that the team truly enjoys working there and with each other. The store is always beautiful and well organized. It is obvious that Katherine promotes a positive work environment. I would like to thank everyone at the Solomon Pond J Jill store, You are the best. Thank you

  13. I am a fan of JJill clothing but I try to stay away from purchasing their clothing due to their increase cost for the plus sizes. I don't see JJill lowering the price on the smaller petite sizes.

When they make all sizes priced equally, I will be happy to support them once again.

  14. I usually buy on-line because I live in a very rural part of Massachusetts. The closest J Jill “brick and mortar” store is over an hour away. But when I’m in civilization, I try to visit your stores because it’s such a treat. Recently I purchased at J Jill at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor, CT. I was very happy with my choices and the friendliness of staff. However, I needed to return an item that I thought would fit better in a petite size. I then visited Natick Mall in Natick, MA, which is over two hours from me. I want to tell you the two salespersons were indifferent, and rude. I was not greeted, I was made to wait while they had a conversation. Nor was I treated as though I was a customer; I was a nuisance. I asked for assistance to return the skirt, which didn’t make them happy. And I also wanted to look at pants. They were so off putting, that I didn’t want to ask for their help. I found the pants on my own. I made my returns, cashed out and left feeling angry. There were no other customers in the store at that time. I am happy to say I will continue to be a good customer. I recently ordered more clothing, on-line because of my location predicament, and I will try to visit the stores. But I want to say, those two salespersons are not helping your store.

  16. I love the Jjill store in Indianapolis, IN. My girlfriend and I have shopping trips a couple times a month. All employees are friendly and very helpful. If they do not have my size they order it for me. In fact today I had the pleasure of meeting the district and regional managers. They were in town to congratulate the folks on being number one in the country. JJill in Indianapolis, IN.is the best. Come visit, you will enjoy!
