  1. My daughter went shopping Saturday, August 2, 2014 to Bealls Outlet located in Lady Lake, FL. She was treated badly and got a lot of horrible stares from the cashiers. she was in there school shopping for her step son, who happens to be black.& she is white. when she went to pay for her items she handed them a $100. bill, and they were rude to her, told her they couldnt take it. said it looked fake, looked at it through the light and did the marker and it was fine, manager was called & she was rude to her. told her she could not take it. treated her like she was some white trash girl. when she works very hard for money and has her own house. NO ONE should be treated as badly as she was that day. & I can honestly say that after this incident. I will no longer purchase anything from this bealls again. & people working there should be ashamed of themselves for treating a customer the way they did.

    1. Columbus, GA Store was the worst once yet that I have been into. The store was a junk yard. The fitting rooms were full of clothes and so many clothes were on the floor. This is the 2nd time going in the store and I have been disappointed both times. From now on i will stop at the Enterprise on the way to visit my daughter.

  2. Buckeye AZ store has horrible customer service. I was there looking for boots and was told that a truck load of boots would be in the next day. I purchase a pair that day but decided to take them back to see the new inventory the next day. I called and asked them when they put new stock out they did not seem interested in my wanting to see the new boot arrival. Also, spoke with the manager and she told me that she was to busy to take out the new stock that day and would get to it sometime in the next few days. While in the store many associates and not many customers and none asked to assist me. Just standing around or acting as they were to busy to assist. Bad, Bad and I left the store thinking what in the world are they for. "JUST PAYDAY". I purposely left a mess in the shoe department. WAKE UP? People are shopping and your store is losing the opportunities. MAKE BETTER ASSOCIATES!

  3. I was actually fired due to a family emergency. My manager told me she have to let me go because I have too many problems. Rude, prejudice, self centered. I was a very hard worker , At times she will allow her employees to work a whole day without taking a break... Isn't that against the law. Hard labor!!!!!! I never in my life came across a manager as cold as she is. I advise anyone if they're looking for employment please stay farrrrrrr away from Store #558. Plantation fl
    Manager: Marie

  6. I went to the Bealls Outlet in Valrico and returned some items with a receipt. I was treated poorly by a cashier named Betty. She is so rude and should not be in customer service. The manager at the time is no ball of sunshine either. These people are miserable and hate their jobs. Please replace them with someone with a tad of courtesy.

  7. Today was my worst experience in 37 years living in the USA, as a Latin women who speaks English, has a degree and ethics. I was raised not to be rude, disrespectful to anyone and not to be a racist and to treat everyone equal and make a difference in this country. It is sad to say that I went into a store that I shop often in " Bell's Outlet " in Key Largo, FL , and I was with my mother and my two small children 9month old daughter and 2 1/2 old son. Suddenly my son starts to say mommy peek-a-boo thru the shoe racks to me and he starts to laugh loud like he always does, it's the natural in him happy funny little kid and when we get ready to walk out of the shoe aisle with him and suddenly I here this women on the other side far from where I was with my both my children and my mom and screams at me, " YOU BETTER TELL THAT CHILD TO SHUT UP " for a moment I really did not think she was speaking to me, but I noticed she had an instigator next to her and pointing at me and then she turned around and looked at me again as I waited there and said excuse me are you speaking to me . The Bell's Employee named Rachel said " YES YOU BETTER SHUT HIM UP IF NOT I WILL THROW YOU OUT OF MY STORE, HE IS DISTURBING ALL OF THE CUSTOMERS " . I could not believe what I was hearing, I was told to shut my child up if not I was going to be thrown out of the store. ( My son had not done anything, did not destroy anything, was not having a tantrum, did not climb or messed up any clothing in the store all he was doing was " Laughing with his Mommy Me as any baby does as innocent as they are. I told the employee you are so wrong in treating my child and myself like this , who do you think you are and she was like the Supervisor, yeah right I said. The woman continued to scream at me and followed me to the counter where I asked to speak to a manager or higher staff person I was told no one else was available and this other man showed up to back her up like if I was a criminal and my son. ( she insisted that I had to leave the store immediately "I told her I will not leave I have not done anything if you continue I will call the cops") I have never felt so humiliated in my life and felt very upset for what had been done to my 2 year old son.
He was like what happen Momma, and I got my kids and mother out of that store and made sure that all other staff and mothers with their own children and customers new the disrespect and discrimination that this women was doing against me and my child. Something needs to be done and my children & I and my mother deserve an apology.

  8. This past week, the "person" who supervises the stores in Bradenton, Sarasota and Venice, announced a "policy change" for the stores in his district. He notified them all that they would now begin taking returns and giving refunds for items which were purchased at any price (even all categories of clearance discounts:30, 50, 70, and 95% off). Clearly, this decision was made without any forethought, and without any "brainstorming" at the corporate level. This person never considered the consequences of this action. When "orange-dot-buyers" like me heard of the new policy, we adjusted our buying strategy to best take advantage of the new rules. As soon as we did, and as soon as a store manager complained how she was getting "screwed" by this new policy, the supervisor quickly changed his mind about the new policy, and told all the store managers to stop giving those refunds, and that "they had mis-interpreted his policy!" Instead of having the balls to admit that he had done something really stupid, he is trying to lay off the blame on all the store managers for his bad decision. Naturally, now that he knows the folly of his ways, the policy has been returned to what it had always been. Bealls Outlet Board of Directors really needs to promote this jerk before he makes any more stupid policy changes.

  10. After reading the above comments, I just have to say: you guys need to come to the Ellijay, Geogia store. Seriously, the counter clerks are the nicest, say hello and smile at everyone who walks through the door, and they continue their kindness upon checkout. Guess we are just lucky up here with all the southern hospitality. Come up up, over or down y'all!!! Thank you Bealls for being here in our small hometown.

  11. Since when did the dot system change? I have shopped at Bealls forever and always been a very happy loyal customer. Went into the Albany Ga store yesterday, spent about 3 hours shopping. When I got to the sales counter and clerk begins ringing up items, I find that the dot system has changed. For as long as I have ever shopped at Bealls, the dot system meant what ever color the dot, you take that off the lowest price. It has always been discounted at register. Get to the counter with a cart full of dot merchandise (I'm a clearance shopper) and find out they no longer usr the dot system although all their clearance items had dots and there were signs hanging all over the store and at the front door. Very disappointed. Asked to speak to manager and was told she would tell me the same thing but no manager was on duty. Needless to say, I walked out empty handed, disappointed in one of my favorite (use to be) stores and mad I had wasted 3 hours.Bealls lost a longtime customer today!!!

  12. I was recently in the Bonita Springs store (41 & Bonita Beach Road) I am back for the winter months from Maine . I brought with me my sister and a dear friend. I had told them all about my favorite outlet store in Bonita . I was so embarrassed. I used to enjoyed shopping at this location on Mondays for my senior discount and chatting with a couple of the regular cashiers that are so warm and cheerful, especially my favorite southern girls . They were the highlight of my week as I came every Monday for the past 5 years. I was just so sad to come back this year to see that one of the girls is no longer there and how unorganized the store is. There are not enough employees on the floor or cashiers to check out the heavy crowd of customers. I stood in line for over 20 mins being that I recently had a total knee done up north so it was very uncomfortable to stand and wait that long. The store manager came up to help check out people but she was not pleasant at all. She was very rude and made me feel as though I was cattle being called to load on a truck. She didn't say hello nor ask how was my day was like the regular cashiers always do. Just a few kind words always made me feel so good and value as a regular snowbird customer. Instead she was cold and didn't fold my new clothes , she just threw them in a bag with my breakable Christmas decorations. When I got home I had glitter all over my new clothes. Not only was that upsetting to me being that I'm a young 62yr old spring chicken haha I witness something that I think your office should note 1st of all this Manager I believe someone called her by the name of Mary (but I'm not sure if I heard Mary or Maury) she was extremely rude to one of her employees . She was actually calling her out on something she had done wrong but she was doing it in front of me along with other customers in the line. I don't think that looks very professional. I also wanted to bring to the store manager's attention 2 things but since she wasn't very friendly to me I decided to come home instead and comment on the corporate office page . While I was shopping I seen some shoes that I like "Anne Klein" I asked an employee if there were any in the storage room size 7 the employee speaks absolutely no English at all. She was standing with another employee who couldn't speak English either. One of the ladies left me and came back with a different employee that spoke broken English who was nice enough to look for me but could not find my size. Why would Bealls Outlet have employees that cannot communicate in English with the customers if they need help with something? I was just so let down by all the changes this store has made. It wasn't the same as the last time I was visiting. I am an author and professional blogger for Naples Daily News , I feel I must blogged this experience to heed others that seek out bargains. Yes Bealls Outlet has great prices and such but the customer service at this location has fallen way down and because of this bad experience that I had I am now taking my business and my readers elsewhere. Thank you for allowing me to voice my concerns.

  13. I went to the store at Gateway Mall in St Petersburg FL I asked one of the employees a skinny short black kind of from india he just walked away and flat out refused to help. The same thing happened today, the cashier asked him to help at the register he mumbled something and again walked away I told her that this was not the 1st time she kept making all kinds of excuses, and I asked so didn't you see him doing it again just now in front of your eyes she kept changing the subject and I said that I needed
to contact the owners, she screamed saying no, no. Its disgusting. Iam sure he is still there not because of his looks or brains.
I see that I am not the only one having a bad experience. I think they need to be reminded that WE keep the business going. I ended up by telling
the one making excuses to go screw herself

  14. the reason that the black male munchkin at the store Gateway Mall St Petersburg Fl refuses to help and the cashier covers up for him its because they heard my accent. Got news for you . you came from somewhere else too and one day I may see in My Country needing help

  15. You'd think you'd would care to enough about your customers enough to put electric riding carts in your stores for people with disabilities you can put those alarm things you put on things you don't want stolen with sign on carts not to remove from store so no one has to go outside and bring them back in

  16. Today I visited a Bealls Outlet store located in Riverview FL. I choose two items from the women section one has a clearance price and the other did not. I take both items to the cashier and ask was both the same as the clearance paid. When she ring up the clearance item it was the regular price so she spoke to one of her co-worker and she said maybe someone had switched the price. I ask can I spoke to the manager Angie the manger came and said it there policy they can't sell me the item with the clearance paid because they believe someone had switch the price. Now I'm having my integrity questioned because someone else switched a price tag. I asked Angie for the corporate office number and while waiting for a representative I listened to Bealls Core Values about customer service several times and was amazed at how they spoke of excellent customer service but was not able to honor the clearance price when the price of the item was clearly as clearance. I was also told by the representative at the corporate office that the District Director would get back with me in 72 hrs. instead of rectifying the problem then when I was already in the store.
