The Food Emporium 43rd St Pricing Issue

Rated 1.0 out of 5
January 30, 2024

Pricing issue at 43rd Street Store! For the second time, I have been charged $7.99 for Skim Plus Milk, which should be $5.99. There are no prices shown on the shelf. A couple of weeks ago I bought, by mistake, lactose-free Skim Plus. Same problem, but here’s the bigger problem, the lactose-free was charged $7.99. After a very long wait, there was a price check and the Skim Plus Mile was $5.99. This time the problem was worse.

And an extra couple of dollars here and there add up.

The Food Emporium looks very down at the heels. The linoleum at the entrance is broken and dingy. The credit card readers are falling apart. One is actually propped up with a soup can. Certainly not the look for the unreasonably and maybe even dishonest pricing.
