  1. We have lost power due to Hurricane Sandy on October 29th 2012 and today is November 5th and still no power. It is freezing temperature in the house and today is the 8th day without having power. This is unacceptable. LIPA is a disgrace and an embarassment to Long Island and the people who live here.

  2. I agree.....it comes from the exec team, they are bumbling people where one hand does not know why the other hand is doing.
The whole exec. Team should Be REPLACED. They can't get the job done so remove them.
Incompetence, inept, unable and incapable to get the job done.
All this exec team know is generators , power lines, and power poles. Nothing about customer service.

WRITE GOV CUOMO Replace LIPA management. NOW!!!!!!!!

  4. Agree with all of the above. Absolutely disgraceful. Ill-prepared (you now need to "order" more transformers), poorly organized and in an apparent attempt to cover that up, you have supplied false information (via those ridiculous maps and your automated telephone system that didn't connect to people's accounts but made people FEEL like they were reporting) about all you are doing. We pay the highest power rates in the nation for this disgusting lack of service. It is November and cold. You are not just putting people out because they don't have electricity. They don't have heat and hot water. You will likely be responsible for the deaths of some. Great job LIPA.

  6. ATTENTION!!!!!!!
    WYANDANCH NEIGHBORS
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOUR ELECTRIC SERVICE WILL NOT BE RESTORED BY LIPA, BY CHRISTMAS,
UNLESS WE COME TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY AND BEGIN TO PUT SOME SERIOUS PRESSURE ON LIPA, AND OUR LOCAL, COUNTY, STATE AND FEDERAL POLITICIANS TO ACT IMMEDIATELY ON THIS VERY SERIOUS MATTER. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT, AFTER BEING WITHOUT ELECTRIC SERVICE, NO HOT WATER, NO HEAT, AND THE INABILITY TO COOK MEALS, FOR OVER 12 DAYS, THIS HAS BECOME A GAME OF SURVIVAL AND/OR A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION WITH THE DEAD OF WINTER APPROACHING. DO NOT BUY THESE FALSE AND ARTIFICIAL DEADLINES GIVEN BY LIPA WITH RESPECT TO RESTORING OUR SERVICE SINCE THEY DID NOT KEEP THEIR COMMITMENT TO RESTORE OUR SERVICE BY 11/6 AND 11/7, BY 11P, AS CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR LIPA PREVIOUSLY PROMISED TO RESTORE ELECTRIC SERVICE TO OUR NEIGBORHOOD. THIS WAS SIMPLY A PLOY; TO GET CONCERNED CUSTOMERS OFF THE PHONES QUICKLY. THEY CONTINUE TO IGNORE US, AND DELAY, ATTENDING TO THE NEEDS OF THE MORE AFFLUENT SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES FIRST. FURTHERMORE, LIPA CONTINUES ACTING IN A RECKLESS AND IRRESPONSIBLE MANNER. AS YOU CAN SEE, IT IS APPARENT THAT GIVEN LIPA’S DISORGANIZATION, LACK OF PREPARATION, AND IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR DURING THE AFTERMATH OF SANDY THUS FAR, AND THE OBVIOUS LACK OF CONCERN FOR OUR COMMUNITY, IT IS HIGHLY PROBABLE, THAT WE IN WYANDANCH, MAY BE WITHOUT ELECTRIC SERVICE BEYOND THANKSGIVING AND PERHAPS EVEN, WELL INTO THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. THIS IS AN EXPERIENCE, BEYOND BELIEF, AND BEING A PERSON THAT ORIGINATED FROM A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY IN THE CARIBBEAN, I NEVER THOUGHT THAT MY NATIVE COUNTRY WOULD BE BETTER PREPARED TO HANDLE SUCH A CRISIS THAN WOULD BE SUCH A SUPER-POWER AS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. AFTER BEING A LOYAL AND FAITHFUL CUSTOMER OF LIPA FOR SO MANY YEARS, A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR ENTERPRISE, YOU AND I DO NOT DESERVE SUCH ABUSE AND TO BE COMPLETELY IGNORED. WE THE PEOPLE OF WYANDANCH HAVE BEEN TREATED AS IF WE WERE SECOND CLASS CITIZENS AND WITHOUT ANY HUMAN DIGNITY AND/OR RESPECT. I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO GET ON YOUR PHONES AND TO CONTINUE CALLING LIPA AND TO STEP-UP YOUR EFFORTS TO GET THEM TO ACT IMMEDIATELY AND TO RESTORE OUR ELECTRIC SERVICE. THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET ON THE INTERNET, POST YOUR COMMENTS REGARDING LIPA’S NEGLECT OF OUR COMMUNITY ON TWITTER, FACEBOOK, AND ALL OF THE AVAILABLE PUBLIC FORUMS, TO PUT LIPA “ON BLAST” AND TO EXPOSE THEM FOR WHAT THEY REALLY ARE; IRRESPONSIBLE, DISORGANIZED, UNPREPARED, AND DISRESPECTFUL TO HUMAN LIFE. DO NOT GIVE-UP, KEEP ON CALLING AND CONTINUE TO PRESSURE LIPA AND ALL OF THE POLITICIANS LISTED BELOW WHICH WE ELECTED TO OFFICE, TO SERVE AND TO HELP PROTECT THE PEOPLE OF THIS COMMUNITY. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND MAY GOD SAVE US!
