  1. Our stay on 12-31-12 for one night in Kingsland Ga. was not a good experience. Room#202 was awful for sleeping, the rm above us has squeaky floors & it was not possible to get a good nights sleep, the breakfast was w/empty coffee, throw away terrible hard boiled eggs, no ice on our floor & a broken treadmill. Terrible accomadations

  2. Or stay feb 5&6 for our sons graduation from bootcamp. We stayed at the one on east exchange in columbia sc. I was told on wed that we could bring our son back to swim. Got back at noon but the pool wouldn't be ready til 3! They put chemicals in it!!! Really?! Do that during the night! !! Not peak swim time with kids!! His 6 yr old soon was dying to swim with his daddy he hadn't seen in 12 wks! ! And if we wanted to wait we couldn't check out or had to pay for another half day!!! Thanx!! Never will stay at one of your hotels again!!!

  3. Terrible experience as well. Was accused of smoking and charged a $250 surcharge on top of my subpar hotel stay. I am a healthcare professional and have never touched a cigarette to my lips. Worst part about it is that we reported the smell of smoke as soon as we got to our room. The managers are refusing to refund the charges.......starting a small claims suit for the first time in my life. Never staying here or any other Carlson establishment again.

    1. This happens ALL the time. And they have no proof of the person smoking. I have seen a person charged $500 because they said they did it again after being charged the $250. I knew it was the heaters in the room that lets off that smell. I am a current employee in a WI Country Inn and Suites so I KNOW this happens as FACT!

  4. I stay at your Hebron KY Country Inn & Suites for one weekend every September. Have been staying there nearly every year since 2006. Love it. Staff is always friendly and efficient. Looking forward to staying again this September.

  5. Local Country Inn and Suites, Cordele, Georgia 31015

Several rooms out of order. Wireless internet totally insufficient for several computers at one time. Banquet room not operable for months. Very poor housekeeping. Seriously in need of an impromptu check by officials.

  6. Internet did not work in my room at the West Seneca New York Country Inn and Suites. The desk clerk told me to stand out in the hallway....Really??
Front end clerk was inefficient in arranging for our rooms and my family rooms were separated by three floors. The parking is problematic.
Breakfast was fine, hotel was clean.
Not sure I'd book there again.

  7. Our family travels a lot due to travel soccer. We traveled 6 hours to get to Savannah & arrived at 10:30 p.m. to the hotel. Several of our team members booked rooms at the Country Inn & Suites on White Bluff Rd in Midtown Savannah, Ga for the weekend of Sept 27-29 2013. When we arrived, the downstairs looked fine, however it all changed as we made it upstairs to our room. Our room was 224. When we reached our room, the 1st thing we noticed was the paint chipping off the door. My husband knows how I am about hotels. The first thing out of his mouth was "I'm not impressed." When my husband says that, I know it's not good. We immediately placed our luggage on top of the bathroom counter & my children stayed in the bathroom so my husband and I could check the room. We found massive stains on the carpet (dark stains), something that had the consistency of vomit on the bed skirt, visible dark stains on the sheets, pillow cases, large brown stains on one mattress & the other mattress had a plastic zipped cover on it, which I thought was odd since the other one didn't have it on there. When I went to the other side of the mattress that had the cover, I picked up the pillows to glance at them before I tried to lift the mattress & unzip the cover, & found what looked like a flat round bug on the pillowcase. I thought it was dead, but that didn't matter because as soon as I saw that I alerted my husband & told him I was not staying. He went around me to get the kids & luggage out of the bathroom & that's when I saw the bug crawling into the inside of the pillowcase. It was alive! I made my husband go downstairs & speak to management immediately. As it was after 11:00 p.m. we were afraid we would not be able to book a room at another hotel at this point (looking back we should have checked out immediately & slept in our car.). My husband came back up, told me they gave us a "suite" so we moved up to room 307.

  8. continued...Paint was chipped off of the door & it smelled. We went in & I don't know what this hotel calls a suite but it was horrible. It looked like a room at the Bates Motel. My children were crying because they were scared bugs would get us. The floor had huge bright red stains on them, the beds & pillows had stains & no "cover" on the mattresses in that room & the bathroom was gross. My husband & a friend of mine helped me check the pillows inside & out no bugs but major gross stains. We checked the curtains & it looked like either smeared chocolate/blood stains on the plastic curtain w/a few droplets on the other cotton part (which made me think that it was blood not chocolate). The room with beds was closed off by what looked like a food locker door. We pulled back the seat covers on the chairs in the room & the pull out couch. We checked w/flashlights no bugs this time but again nasty stains. The pull out couch mattress was still in its original wrapping so we decided to sleep on that. I hung up whatever bags we could on the shirt hangers so they wouldn't reach the floor or touch anything, & put the rest of the luggage on the bathroom counter. After this I got the "extra blanket" that you could use & noticed curly black hair stuck inside the case & inside the blanket. Gross!!! That means they don't clean! At this point I wanted to vomit (& leave it there because it's not like they would clean it up anyways). My kids were hungry from the drive so we went to the vending machine, got a bag of chips, 2 sodas & but we were too grossed out to eat/drink. My husband wouldn't let us sleep in the car (which is what I wanted to do) because we had soccer games & he thought we wouldn't get any sleep in a car. We kept waking up all night thinking something was crawling on us, having to turn lights on and re-check. The next morning we had to scram to get to the soccer field. We sure weren't eating breakfast or taking any snacks from that place. When we made it to the fields we explained our story to our teammates & they immediately helped us find another hotel & they cancelled their reservations for the Country Inn and Suites ASAP.

THE POOL AND HOT TUB HAD DEBRIS IN THEM AND THIS WAS AT 4-5 IN THE AFTERNOON. JEAN BROCKNEY WILL NEVER STAY AT THE MASON CITY IOWA HOTEL AGAIN. MAYBE ALL THE HOT ITEMS ON THE COUNTER IN THE KITCHEN SHOULD BE PUT TO THE INSIDE SO THEY CAN'T FALL OFF THE COUNTER. THANKS FOR THE BURNS TO REMIND ME NOT TO STAY WITH YOU AGAIN

    1. The waffle irons are always set up too close to the edge and they overcrowd the counter space. So an accident is bound to happen. They are aware of this problem as I work in the breakfast area and have asked to change the set up because of a safety issue. I was told no, it has to be this way, set by corporate. However, I also work in housekeeping and this country inn and suites follows nothing corporate wants them to in that area. The pillows are not what they are suppose to be. And I also PROMISE you, the housekeeping staff is using the SAME rags to clean the toliets as they do the sink and coffee maker. There is no standard disinfectant. And they want you in and out of a room in 15 mins. Again, I said I won't clean a toilet that I use to clean the coffeemaker, fridge and sinks. I was told it takes too long to keep changing rags. No standards and no one speaks any English. Stay anywhere else this chain is nasty. Too many secrets too list.

Extremely unhappy with my stay at comfort inn and suite Grand Rapids, MI. After booking my stay at Priceline, I was given a room with 1 king bed for my 20 yr. Old son and myself. I was advised to call hotel direct to ask for doubles, the hotel stated it wasn't policy to do in advance but they could change my room on arrival. When I arrived they stated I could change my room, then they reniged and said no I could get a single queen handicapped, and rent a cot for $10 more per night. I kept the king- we went to the room and the tv stand was broken. I immediately notified front desk and they said maintenance would come by, I asked them to come later due to late flight, that I would be sleeping- they ce and woke me anyway. In the AM I went to breakfast, the hot foods were cold! Later that day I couldn't get back intoy room, magnet on door was stuck. That is 24 hours out of a 3 night stay, Id switch hotels if I hadn't paid in advance!!

Still here- bad experience continues, housekeeping never came , spoke with them in hall 2 times, said they would be here shortly. Call front desk 10 minutes ago- we'll see if they come by- doubt it!!

  15. We left our room at 8:30 AM and made a special request to the front desk manager to clean our room as we would be returning early. When we returned at 2:30 PM our room was still not clean. The manager on duty gave us numerous excuses as to why it was not clean instead of offering to clean it. Then he said we could leave tonight if we wanted. We will not be staying at the Country Inn and Suites in Red bank Tennessee again. They need to provide more customer service instead of excuses.

  16. Me and my family stayed at Country Inn Suites in Newport News, Va, for 4th of July holiday and there were ants in the bed that bit me up when I returned home I had to see my physicain, he prescribed 2 medications for me. The air conditioning was turned off@night,and on top of being quoted a different rate@time of booking. Rate doubled from 329 to over 600 dollars. We all came as group for the Nationals basketball tourney, we were shocked when we checked in and rates more than doubled. Everybody checked out a day early except one person. Room was cleaned 1 time out of the 4 day stay. I feel robbed and used with medical expenses. Won't recommending Country Inn Suites

  17. Stayed at Country Inn and Suites at 210 Rudy Circle Nashville TN. Got bitten by a spider while sleeping and told the front desk clerk (even showed him). He was not sympathetic. I asked that housekeeping change our bed linens. When we returned to our rm. later in the day, it was apparent that pesticide had been sprayed in our room AND the housekeeper left my up and propped it with a plastic glass!! The air was on full blast AND THE WINDOW OPEN!!!I called the front desk to inquire about the pesticide spray and was told the housekeepers "spray air freshener" before they leave each room after it is cleaned....really?Do they think I'm tjhat stupid?! Not impressed. I ended up at the Urgent Care Center in my hometown on Saturday with an infected spider bite!

  18. My stay at this Country Inn was the worst stay of my life, we checked in , I asked for a 4:30 am wake up call, but 10 minutes later I called the front desk and told them to cancel the call as my early morning meeting got cancelled and i could then check out at noon. The front desk assured me that they cancelled the wake up call. Then when we got up to the room, there was a room near us that was using marajuana, and the people were loud. Then the girls from that room ran in the halls all night long banging on doors then running away, I called the front desk to complain and the phone rang, no answer. Then at 4:15 am I received a wake up call, i woke up, called the front desk and advised them that i would check out at noon. At 8 am the maid knocked on my door and came into the room, I advised her that i would check out at noon and not before. At 10 am the same maid knocked on my door thus waking me again asking if she could clean the room, I told her again I am leaving at noon, come back after that. At 11:15 she knocked again asking to clean the room, at which point i lost my temper and decided to pack and leave as she clearly did not understand that i needed my rest to be able to complete driving home, when i checked out the girls that were knocking on my door all night long were in the lobby laughing at me and my sons and pointing fingers at us. I asked to speak to a manager to complain about my stay. I waited over 20 minutes for the manager to be located and all she said was, you should have called the front desk to complain about the noise, i said I DID NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE, plus you are a non smoking hotel , i am sure smoking pot is also against the rules, I should have called the police . Overall, I am not at all satisfied and would never go there again.

  19. I used to work at the country inn in kenosha. I had to leave siddenly cuz i had to move back to IL. i texted the assistant manager asking if he would send my last check stub so i can turn it in to dhs and my kids could recieve medicaid. I already had my check i just needed my stub. -i promised i would return my work shirts in a couple weeks when i had to make the 2 hour trip there, after texting him several times hr finally said no and he needs the shirt first. It would be too late by then, so I Got upset and said i would put him on blast for smoking weed at work. Then the general manager, nadia, got on the phone and starting saying horrible things about me and saidthat i left my children for a man and just things that weren't true all over scummy shirts! She is a two faced horrible woman/ manager. I was always left out cuz i was one of the couple that didn't speak spanish. And nadia actually hired her mom to be the head housekeep. Her mom made everyone do her work, never, cleaned, and was having a affair with the matinence man. I recommend never to stay there! When i was being trained the girls would ALWAYS clean the toliets 2nd instead of last. That is disgusting!

  20. I made a reservation with Expedia for a one night stay at Country Inn and Suites in Bradenton, FL, whihc seemed to be a wonderful hotel.I arrived late, approximately midnight. Upon arrival, there were several young people sitting in the outside chairs in the front if the hotel, with bottles of liquor. They were very loud, cursing and yelling. I proceeded inside the hotel and there was no one at the front desk. I rang the bell and the front desk clerk, Danny, came out of a back room and threw a metal object in his hand down on the counter. He never said hello, how are you, nothing. I told him I had a reservation. He began to type on his computer, still having said nothing to me. He then asked my name. I told him my first name and proceeded to spell my last name. He cut me off half way threw my last name, which is only 5 letters long, and stated "I don't have that in my computer". I proceeded to tell him I made the reservation through Expedia and provided him with my confirmation number. He again went back to his computer, in silence. Again he stated "I don't have that in my computer." I proceed to call Expedia, who in turn called the hotel and spoke to the front desk clerk, Danny. Expedia confirmed my reservation and that the room type was available with Danny. The Expedia representive then confimed with me that the problem was resolved and the reservation would be faxed to the hotel within 10 minutes.
I waited approximately 20 minutes and returned to the front desk. Again, Danny stated "I don't have anything in my computer." I proceeded to call Expedia again, who again contacted Danny. Again the Expedia representative called Danny and confirmed I made the reservation and that the room type is available. The representative got back on the phone with me and proceeded to tell me again the problem is resolved and the reservation has been confirmed. I hung up the phone with Expedia. At this time, Danny stated "They said it will be 10 minutes on the fax. I don't have time for this. I have s#@t to do" and turned and walked out of the room, returning to the back room where a TV could clearly be heard. I turned and left the hotel. I again contacted Expedia who stated they could not return my money for two weeks. At this time, it was now after 1am and I still had to find another hotel. Danny, by far, had the worst customer service of a front desk clerk I have ever encountered. This hotel may be wonderful and clean once checked in but I will not return to this Country Inn and Suites ever again, due to the total lack of customer service.

  21. On Nov 1st,2014.My Husband and I stayed at the Country Inn Suites,In St.Cloud Minn.We will not stay there again, why because for one we were lied too,we were not told that the hot tub was broke, that some exercise equipment was broke,we were told that our night stay was $91.00 didn't say anything about the taxes, and they were asked if there was a deposit, they said NO to fine out that when we checked out we were charged $102.27,and when we got home we checked our bank account and it showed that a $122.27 was taken out,so I called and asked what the reason was for an exrta $20.00 being taken out, and they told me it was for a deposit, I said that my friend booked a room for us and she was told no deposit,I told them that it was wrong to lie to people, and they were rude.

  22. the Country Inn and Suites off of Williams Road, Columbus, Georgia, needs to be investigated by the corporate office. The treatment of the housekeepers, particularly the African-American housekeepers, is deplorable. The Housekeeping supervisors are stealing tips and anything else left behind that should be going to the housekeeper who cleaned the room. They intimidate and threaten the housekeepers with their jobs and tell them they better keep quiiet. This is not right and needs to be stopped. Anyone acting in a prejudiced way needs to be fired. The bedding covers are not washed between guests....just "spot-cleaned". I am writing on behalf of the housekeepers who are afraid to speak up because they need their jobs. I personally do not have a beef but I know about this because i have a friend who is a housekeeper there. She fears repercussions if she says anything and did not know where to report this. Corporate needs to look into this and "clean house".

  23. Stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in on Percy Dr in Nashville and won't EVER stay there again. We have stayed there many many times and have never had this problem. Matter of fact we travel alot and have never had this happen to us.They charged us $250.00 additional stating that we smoked in the room. We are NOT smokers and this really makes me mad. They said the room was out of commission for 2 days because of the smoke and that the room had a heavy smell of smoke. Really, how is that so when we don't smoke? They refuse to refund our money. Never again will I stay there in Nashville on Percy Dr. or at any Country Inn and Suites and NEVER again will I use a credit card to hold a room. It jus gives me free rain to charge you for any damn thing that want to.This is horrible and they should be ashamed of themselves. I have been in the law field for over 20 years and trust me I am not afraid of the system. So, a lawyer has been retained and I will win this battle. So sad that you can not enjoy a weekend away without someone trying to take advantage of a hard working people.

  24. I work for an aerospace company and was staying at the country inn in Cape Canaveral Florida. I was there for business and was out all day. Nights when I would return I would find the room dirtier than what I left it. Several occasions I saw white powder on the rug. I would use the ironing board in the morning and when I would return I would find it knocked over on the ground. I would use one towel and leave it on the restroom floor and when I would return it was still there. What finally put me over the edge was on a Friday I returned to my room and noticed that a new mouth wash I left in the restroom was completely empty. ??? I went down stairs and asked to speak with a manager and was told to look for one in the morning. It was 6pm and no manager was around. I tried to check myself out and the gentleman at the desk told me that I was still going to get charged with that night. I went to the hotel next door and checked myself in anyway. Next morning that I show up I ask for the manager and a young man tells me that everything sounded too strange. I don’t think he believed me when I told him what had happened. He offered to move me rooms but how would that fix anything? I wasn’t asking to get re imbursed for the mouth wash but he never even offered to discount that off my bill. I’m extremely disappointed with the way that was handled. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

  25. I just visited Tallahasse Fl for a job interview and at the last minute 5am had to check into Country Inn after driving six hours and not wanting to over sleep my daughter and my 2y/o grandchild my daughter complained after I came back from my interview she was itching so I told her to go and take a shower after that we went out and came back at that point is when i finally went to sleep only to wake up with bite marks all over my body my daughter and my grandchild at my daughter call we got more sheets changed them and at 2am it was so bad we couldn't sleep i went to the front desk clerk and she took 25 dollars off the one night i paid for two cause i had to check in at 5am. At the time of check out i told the first desk person ask her for the claims information she informed me that they don't carry liability insurance she was the same person who brought the sheets up and told me that we were allergic to the feathers in the pillows. So after I left i called back and she states she's taking chemistry so that's how she was able to diagnose us with the allergy to feathers. Now three days later we still have the bite marks since i work in the medical field i went to my ER doc who states no these are bite marks no allergy. I would never stay at this place again i would rather sleep in my car than to get bedbugs....I don't mind paying for good service I would have paid whatever I had to pay than to have my kids out in the cold but to pay for such bad service i disagree.... If you don't want bedbugs please don't stay at this place. mab2691@gmail.com

  26. My husband, myself and another couple had an overnight stay on February 28, 2015 in Galveston, TX. We were told by Malcolm that we would have to pay $50 round trip to get to our ship. We explained that we didn't need round trip but he said that didn't matter. After reviewing our notes, we realized we had been quoted $10 a person for the shuttle to the airport. We went over this with the morning desk clerk and she said we had to talk to the manager. We were assured the manager would show up right before the shuttle. The shuttle arrived and the manager did not. As of this date, we have yet to hear from anyone from this motel about the price adjustment.
Loud voices woke my husband and I around 2:30 am. We were in Room 206, which is right next to the lobby. I went in the hallway in my pajamas to see what sort of party was going on. The night clerk was sitting on a chair with her cell phone. I asked her what was all the noise from?, She pointed to the other room and said the TV. I said, Isn't it a little loud? I came here to sleep and now I am not. She asked if she should turn it down? I said, YES! I did report her to the morning clerk, who wrote it in her notebook. As of this date, we have yet to hear from anyone from this motel about the noise situation.
The shuttle driver was very personable and did a great job of driving us to the ship. We were the only guests to tip him.

  27. I work with homeless veterans In Indianapolis, and yesterday I received a call from a Honorably Discharged Female Combat Vet, who had been staying (along with her young son) in the Country Hearth Inn on the eastside of Indianapolis IN. for 3 months. She wanted to know if we could pay for one night (60.00) because she fell a little short. So after speaking with my supervisor who immediatly said yes, and after getting permission from the veteran to speak for her, I went in person to the Country Hearth Inn (On East 21st Street) to speak with the manager and request another day for this young lady and her son, assuring him (the manager) that we are going to pay (60.00) for that night. The manager was extremely hesitant (understandbly), but also seemed not to care about her being a United States Female Combat Vet with a young son, yet he finally agreed to let them stay one more night. After leaving the hotel, and after shaking the managers hand in agreement, our home office decided they would go ahead and pay for her room (by credit card) that day and not wait. So I returned to the Country Hearth Inn on East 21st Street In Indianapolis IN. only to find out that the manager was making arrangements to kick the Vet and her son out on the streets anyway (after he gave his word). I am glad I returned, we were able to get them into a nicer hotel that night, and I am writing to say this place is not friendly to anyone (Including veteran's), but also this place was willing and did kick out a United States Honorably Discharged Female Combat Vet. and her young son who had fallen into hard times over $60.00. Shame on them!

  29. We had a 3 night stay at country inn and suites in Marion Illinois. We rented 2 king studio rooms. On the second day we were very displeased to come back after being gone from 7AM until 2:15 PM to find both rooms uncleaned. Had to go to the front desk for towels and toilet paper. When I voiced my displeasure with the rooms not being cleaned, I was told , "well we were full, sorry" Well we paid too. Not a good place to stay longer than 1 night.

  30. My family stayed at the Georgetown, KY location due to personal reasons beyond our control. We loved the hotel and amenities. While I was there another family was having an unauthorized pool party in the pool area that evening. The front desk staff took care of this immediately. I was impressed and comforted with the level of care and concern this was handled in particular by the new girl still training. She was very accommodating and professional. When I came for breakfast the next day the same young lady was there again that morning. As I was walking by the front desk area I overheard the other staff member, an older lady, talking very disrespectfully to the new staff person. This was not the only time that day I witnessed this before my check out. When I was checking out by the new trainee, I was very thankful and complimentary of her. The older lady kept trying to over talk me and the new staff while we were in conversation. I do not know their policy on training or how they are to treat new employees but I was not impressed and rather disheartened and truly bothered to see someone being talked to so disrespectfully. I didn't want to say anything then for fear of getting the very helpful young lady yelled at again. From what I saw and how I was treated at check in and during my stay the new employee did nothing to deserve such treatment. I feel the older lady was very disrespectful and unprofessional to have acted so toward the girl she was supposed to be training and helping. I would like to commend the young lady on her attempts to be professional and ignore the other lady. It was difficult for me to walk away without intervening so I can imagine how the young girl felt. I hope this issue can be corrected and the older lady can learn it is not nice or professional to act as she did especially where customers can see and hear her.

  31. hi I was a customer at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Springfield Illinois. 34. My family and I stayed at the country inn & suites in Ocala, Fla on Sept 4th and had a horrible experience. The shower head was filthy enough caused a very low water pressure. Our room smelled like old mildew and when I saw the "playpen" they expected me to use for my 5 month old I almost cried! We left early the next morning & went straight to our destination without stopping which was only an hour away. When we arrived there I realized I had forgotten my makeup bag and wallet ( containing my drivers license my son's insurance information, cash... etc) I know for sure I forgot them there and when I called about 2 hours after we left I was told that nothing was found!!! I spoke to a manager who also said she checked herself and found nothing! Obviously someone is a thief, either the maid or manager or both! I'm definitely going to call the better business bureau and make it known to them as well as the public exactly how we were treated, stolen from and lied to! I feel so violated, as a paying customer we should not have to worry about being stolen from then treated as if I did something wrong by asking for my belongings back!

  35. This is actually my 2nd review, its a follow up to my story. Long story short, I forgot a bag and a wallet containing personal information as well as my sons medical insurance info. The hotel and the corporate office are telling me they haven't found anything and theres nothing more I can do about it. We checked out and went straight to our destination and I realized I didn't have the bags and we didn't make any stops so it doesn't leave any other options as to where it could be. I was expecting the manager to tell me that they had my bags and I could come get them and when I was told they didn't have them I knew instantly there was a thief amongst the company! I called the corporate office and was hung up on 3 different times, given a fax # as a customer care # and been completely disrespected! This is by far the worst hotel experience both the stay and trying to resolve this matter. This will not end here..... The next step is a police report and calling the better business bureau. I cant believe a company like this just doesn't care about or respect their guests.

  36. I tried to book a room at the Gettysburg location and was treated horribly on the phone by the female that stated she was the manager. She would not give her name. I inquired about the package details that stated on the web site that they were available as of January 2013 and had no end date, but was told the package had ended. When I asked why it was still on the web site, she accused me of not looking at the right web site. I stated I was and even read the address and phone number and even invited her to pull up the web site, but she would not. I then asked to book a non-smoking room and pet free room as my wife and son are both allergic to dogs. She stated they have pet free rooms, but they all have had dogs in them. I asked how could they be pet free and she proceeded to hang up the phone. I tried to call back in an attempt to speak to the real manager, but no one would answer the phone. I mean, who doesn't answer a phone at a hotel? Needless to say, we booked a room at another hotel and will never, ever stay at a Country Inn & Suites again. In all my travels and all the hotels I have booked, I have never experienced such ignorance and disregard for customer service.

  37. I worked at your Summerville , South Carolina hotel and was fired by the GM . Hattie Gettis their for texting her after work about $65 dollars that was stolen from me by another employee there. Now she will not pay me my final pay check of 50:26 hours that I worked there for. I will be taking this to the labor board and court.

  38. Former employee..... I am located in Lima Oh . previously employed by this company . I have been trying to file a complaint about the unfair and appauling acts of the management here in lima oh. I have 5 previous employess who all wish to file a complaint as well. The unfair and unprofessional acts of the head of supervisor here at this location is beyond unreasonable and unfair and i dont see this company getting any better as long as management is allowing thr behavior . in the short month i worked there i have seen everything from stealing property out of rooms to drinking in customer rooms while on the job . in fact . im almost sure if you had that whole location drug tested and evaluated you would see for yourself how unprofessional and disfunctional the employees is. I just recently called to get the last name of the person in filing a complaint on and the manager refused to give me her name . She too is very unprofessional and allows this all to go on. Not only are they stealing money out of rooms they are firing people for no reason. She writes people up daily for personal reasons i actually quit after seeing what she was doing but several people were fired for simply speaking up. The shifts can go as long as 9 to 10 hours aday due to short staff however in the month i worked there i was only givin one break. Just one. We are worked like slaves and then sabotaged by the head of housekeeping in fear of someone taking her place she does things to act as if we arent doin our jobs just to write us up meanwhile her and 2 other girls are juicing the clock .leaving work while on the clock bringing kids to work . using rooms for personal use and abusing authority. I have several women who use to work there who can contest to these alligations. If you contacted the many employess they have had this past year im almost sure you would staff the whole building over after hearing the constant complaints. Noone takes the time out because its not a good paying position in which noone would make an career with those kind of people running it . however after hearing so many have these same problems with this particular job i decided to not let her get away with it. Im seeking legal representation and starting a petition with former employees and demanding my equal opportunity rights as expected. These women are cursing in front of guests. Drinking with the guests on the clock . they are stealing money and items from other employees as well as guests. They are not training properly or being fair to the other employees. They are not giving the legal expected break we are owed after wotking so many hours. They are disreapectful unprofessional and i think the HOH is on some type of drugs. She is corrupting that buisness and driving it into the ground with her personal problems. I think if management stood up and corrected these problems she would not have so much authority . i plan on taking this all the way because i kno for sure that alot of this stuff is illegal and she doesn't deserve to be in a position with so much authority when she simply isnt stable. I cant wait to file this suit against her for discrimination and improper practices as well as stealing and drinking on the job and doing drugs . i just want you all to kno that. This is going on in your establishment. I am no angry employee i have never been fired from a job i have years of experience in housekeeping commercial and residential i have never got into any dispute at work with anyone i have a big heart and im very respectable . and i can prove it all . this place needs new management all the way around. If you look at the employee log and how many come and go in a months time you will see something just isnt right . please consider checking into it . i just want her to pay for firing those girls for no reason and the managers above sheher has done nothing to stop this. Im sure this location isnt that successful due to the drama of the housekeeping department.

  39. As a US Soldier I can sleep pretty much anywhere. However, this was just nasty.

Employees are a direct reflection of their leadership. This GM shold be placed on probation or fired. Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Checked in and discovered that:

    1. The room was not cleaned properly. Underwear from the previous guest was still in the room.

    2. The towels were not exchanged even though they were on the floor dirty.

    3. The couch looks like a porn movie was just shot on it.

    4. The housekeeping staff was very rude and showed a blatant lack of professionalism and concern.

    5. The linen hadn't been cleaned. So when turndown service was requested, housekeeping took the dirty linen and left the folded linen on the bed for me to make the beds myself.

The General manager ducked and dodged me for two days when I requested to speak with her about this issue. I ended up checking out before I could see her.

If you hate your job, just quit.

Country Inn and Suites by Carlson, please screen your employees better.

  40. Carter Lake, IA location. Hotel is clean and efficient. Food is good, really enjoyed the complimentary cookies in particular. Almost all of the staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is for the shuttle driver Jessie. He is rude and speaks over you and snaps at his fellow employees. And he is a very large man who is intimidating to other people with his loud voice and body language. Not sure why he still has a job but hopefully some disciplinary action is taken, I've never seen someone so rude to everyone around them and just get away with it.

  41. Booked a room through Hotels.com in December for Country inn in Scottsdale for next week. (march 20th.) My husband and I bought spring training tickets. I called the hotel directly to ask them about their shuttle service to the ball park and they informed me that I had cancelled the room ( I did not) I called to see if someone in authority would honor my original deal, but they would not. Prices are overly inflated for spring training in March. After several days of trying to find a new hotel at a reasonable price, I settled on a Motel 6. I will never book a Country Inn againand as we are recent retirees, we will be doing a lot of traveling.

  42. I recently stayed at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Indianapolis South. I was there for a 3 night stay, Thursday-Sunday. After the first night, I noticed what looked to be a hive on my wrist, but then as the day went on, I had a few more pop up. By the time I checked out and arrived home on my last day, I had bites along my hands, wrists, neck and side. I immediately called that night to discuss this with the Manager. After THREE attempts, and four days, at trying to reach him, he finally called back in full attack mode. I was very polite with the employees that I had spoke with prior to, so I was confused why this man was attacking me. I explained my situation and offered to send the photos of the bites. He said they checked the room, and it was clean. I again, offered to send my photos, but he declined. He then proceeded to ask why I did not complain at checkout, and I told him it was because I assumed it was an allergic reaction the first couple of nights and took medicine to try to help. He assumed I was lying to him the entire time, and refused to look at the photo proof. He then rudely said they would refund the money, which I never even asked for. I was simply hoping that this wouldn't happen to another traveler who had to stay in the room. I am more than appalled at the lack of respect and customer service that this man provided. If you are even in Indianapolis, DO NOT stay here. Bed bugs and the most rude Manager, EVER.

  43. This is the second suite we have rented to the disappointment of no bedroom door. Why bother paying extra for a suite if I cannot shut a door and not disturb my wife while she is still sleeping. OR use the bedroom door to shut out the noise coming from the hall in the middle of the night. It is really disappointing why rent a suite if the rooms are going to be open why not just rent a single room with a king size bed and get the same results. Either way the person getting up or not wanting to retire to bed is disturbing the other person. REALLY DISAPPOINTING!!
