    4. I totally agree, a class action lawsuit is needed, I'm DONE with this horrible bank!! They were good when I joined over 10 years ago but now, they are shady, tell lies, lose money, never pay on insurance claims and customer service is the worst ever! I just called with a complaint and to have something resolved, was angry and asked for USAA Corporate #....their rude customer service agent gave me the # for ATT Consumer Relations!?! Seriously??? I was done with USAA before that happened but now I'm REALLY done!!!!

  2. We are members and to say we are disappointed in USAA is an understatement. Someone in Miami tried to hack our credit card by calling USAA and asking for replacement cards. USAA Fraud contacted us and put a freeze on our account and then ISSUED REPLACEMENT CARDS TO THE THIEF IN MIAM NOT ONCE BUT TWICE! Meanwhile we are spending hours on the phone w/USAA security trying (unsuccessfully) to rectify this - we still do not have a working USAA credit card - but hey, the thief in Miami is 'making out like a bandit'. USAA keeps saying 'sorry' and maybe we should contact credit agencies to make sure the thief isn't stealing our credit - but 'sorry' they can't help us with this! This is NOT the USAA we have spent 50+ years being insured by!

  3. I had a insurance claims representative lie to me from the start of my claim. This guy Ryan Tovar created a fiction about filing my claim with another insurance company and having that company deny my claim. Turned out that he didn't even know the correct insurance company to file my claim with. Then he gets me to get my son to make a statement about the incident and proceeds to find evidence in an attempt to disprove my son's claim as if he is working for the opposing insurance company. Beware of USAA they are not the company they say they are.

  6. I am currently a member of USAA insurance. I called today (August 5th) around 6:22 pm to make a on my auto insurance. The woman the I spoke to, April, said she I could not make a payment with my bank card. I explained to her that I've used my bank card previously to make a payment, but she still refused and was very disrespectful. She refused to transfer me to speak to a manger then decided to take my card information. After receiving my card number she told me that my quote went up, but I didn't understand why. April could not give me an answer as to why or further assist me. I'm not very sure if she was new to her job, but her costumer service was very disrespectful and if this is not addressed immediately I'm very sure that she could cause future problems in this company.

  7. I am currently a member of USAA snd have been since 1988. I called today (August 10th at 2:53pm to get a quote for auto insurance. The woman was very pleasant. She gave me a 6 month quote for $968.02. I was happy with that quote and she told me I could lower that by $82 if I had my home insurance with USAA. I was all for it until she told me that I had to pay the total 6 month amount of $968.02 up front and set up automatic payments due to insurance being dropped a year ago due to none payment - she also says that all that was due was paid over a year ago. I asked is there a time limit that this punishment will be lifted - to my surprise she says basically never until USAA change its policy. Now I know that other military families has fell on hard times before but to get punished for it after a year has past or until the entire 6 months has been paid in full is irrational and ridiculous.

  9. I deposited a live paycheck on Friday, August 28 2015. I will not get my funds until Saturday, September 5th 2015. Why? I work hard for my money and should not have to wait 7 days to get my money.

  10. Took Additional Interest on Car Loan and Would Not Return It:

StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarBy ebntdn724673 - 09/28/2015
TEXAS -- We opened a credit card with USAA and then shortly thereafter, opened a car loan. We have had the car loan for roughly 11 months when we noticed that the principal payments were not being deleted from the principal balance correctly. After 5 long and exhausting calls with the car loan department, it's managers and the executive department, they were willing to reverse most of the payments that went to interest incorrectly. The remaining amount was $96 out of $900 of remaining interest that USAA stated could not be reversed due to being older than a few months and that is was my fault for not watching the account to make sure that the payments went to principal correctly. For not baby sitting USAA accounting department my punishment is that I have to let them keep the $96 in interest and that I have to double check their accounting on a monthly basis.

To add to my distrust with USAA, within the first 9 months of having the credit card, we had to replace this card 3 separate times due to fraud from the bad guys somehow obtaining our account information. I have never had a card that was compromised to this extent, this many times. Fraud has only happened to me once in the past from a credit card. To USAA's credit, this new card has not been hit since I complained about their security.

I will replace the car note and also remove the credit card from USAA with a more reputable company who actually cares for their customers.

UPDATE: As promised, it took me only 1/2 a day to replace the car note with USAA. There are consequences for stealing someones money.

  12. Well to say the least I am very disappointed in USAA. I was involved in an accident with one of their clients (it was his fault)and have been treated so poorly by their management it's ridiculous. This happened on Thanksgiving and I am still waiting to hear back from my adjuster Zachary. I have called and he NEVER answers the phone nor returns calls. I gave up on him and went to the managers (Glenise Rooks) with no better result. First of all the appraiser just showed up without calling or making an appointment. I told them the days and times I was available and stated that I wanted to be present while they were looking at my van. I got my own estimate done because the amount offered by USAA was nowhere near enough to get it fixed. When I got the results I faxed them over right away. After being told by Mindy on Dec. 12 that my rental was going to be extended while they reviewed the estimates. I was waiting to hear something from my adjuster about the estimates and to make sure we could use the auto shop that we had selected. Come to find out they didn't extend my rental and now they are telling me I have to pay the remaining days that I had the car. Needless to say this is has not been a very good experience and their customer service from management side is very very poor. I will never recommend them to any one. And to think I wanted to become a member again. This has totally changed my mind.

  14. SSG Davis, WinstonJanuary 13, 2016 at 8:06 PM

I have been a member since 2003. I have checking, savings, auto insurance, home insurance, and credit card accounts. Just Monday, all my accounts have been frozen. I am a SSG in the USA and have two roommates. My roommates have my account number and routine number to deposit their share of the rent. The rent was deposited on the 4th of Jan. On the 11th of Jan, USAA took the money out of my account, leaving my balance in a negative. Then they blocked my accounts, so I have no access to my funds. My direct deposit arrives tomorrow. I have bills due, payments that were previously made, being returned. Whenever I speak to a representative, I get bounce back and forth thru different departments, with no results. In addition, there is a different story, with no set standard. I ask to speak with corporate, and the answer I receive is "we cannot give out corporate's number. My whole life is thru USAA, and now I have no access to my funds. Now I was told by Kiatomai Brown(M4997) that my funds will be held for six months, and I might be dropped from USAA, but she couldn't tell me why. I take pride in paying my bills on time, and keeping my credit in tact. I NEED HELP!! My USAA id is wd5150. I had no complaints with USAA until now, and it hurts that as a Soldier, that I have to worry about how I am going to pay my bills, when I have money that I can not access for 6 months. I hope this message gets the attention of someone that can actually help me, instead of accusing me of fraudulent acts, or my roommates having insufficient funds. This is a cry for help!!!!!!

  16. I am a member. I need to talk to someone who can answer some questions before I renew my policy. Your "CUSTOMER SERVICE" lines are useless. I work and cannot continue to wait through your loops in hopes of getting an answer.

  17. When I initiated my auto insurance with USAA in May of 2015, I was told that when an accident I had came off my record in December 2015, my premium would decrease. Instead, my premium INCREASED by $142 every six months. I attempted to get some answers and maybe negotiate a more reasonable rate but to no avail. I went back to Auto Owners and saved $700. So much for looking out for military, retired and active. I will not renew my policy with USAA on May 15. I cannot get through to anyone to discuss this either so I guess the policy will have to lapse for non-payment. Something else I HATE.

  18. I have been a USAA member for some time now. I have been hit multiple times with identity theft. This last time I was hit I learned that USAA gave my information to the people who stole my identity. Some guy called and said he was me when I was away on Army business. He wiped out my account of $7800.00 and USAA fraud team refuses to look into my case. This crook has hit my account 3 times within a year. He probed my account countless times and called USAA for some casual conversations. USAA has known of my issue the whole time. Now I am facing bankruptcy because of this matter. I have 4 fraud claims out and the fraud team refuses to talk to us or hear anything we say. We have evidence in our behalf but it means nothing. Do yourself a GIANT favor and quit banking with USAA.

  20. I am a member of USAA and have been for many years, I have a complaint about the unprofessionalism on USAA part, someone did not carry over as I requested my rental insurance from my old car to my new car at the time of purchase, I had a accident with my new car and in the process of trying to take care of everything I found out that my rental insurance was not placed on my new vehicle as requested, I am very upset at this point because things can't go forward until USAA verify the mistake, I did not make the mistake and will prove that without hesitation, this is very unprofessional when it comes to taking care of customers, this is why I pay insurance, not to deal with stuff like this but to make things at ease, this is stressful and frustrating, I will make sure that this will never happen again to me even if it takes going with another insurance company.

  21. Obtained loan for vehicle purchase in April 2016.
First payment was scheduled for mid June.
USAA failed to send a loan statement until well past the payment due date!
Payment was sent to them along with numerous requests to rectify the situation and provide PAPER STATEMENTS ( WE DON'T USE ONLINE BILL PAY!!) IN A TIMELY MANNER!
Next payment was due this mid month July - Today is 7/28/16 and we are still waiting for USAA to send a paper loan statement. USAA has been contacted by phone and in writing about this issue: they have done nothing - ZERO! I was advised to do online banking, automatic withdrawals - do you all think I'm a fool! Like I would trust you to do the right thing!
USAA customer service (Executive Resolution Dept-what a joke) claims to have sent a statement - haven't received anything from them yet, except the two threatening letters received in todays (7/28) mail stating what they would do if payment isn't made on time. Why don't you all get off your backside and do your job! Send my loan statement on time & you'll get a payment on time!

  22. USAA hired a 3rd party call center (Sitel Las Vegas) that handles many of the members calls. Sitel API (USAA campaign) is so poorly run and hires ghetto, ratchets and thugs. Coaches play on their cell phones all day while Reps on actual calls raise their hands for help until their arms are numb making customer service non-existent because many customers hang up or get very angry. The Operations Manager named Rudy has no insurance licenses, no knowledge of USAA services and therefore roams the floor daily offering no help to anyone because he has no knowledge. When they know USAA reps are coming to visit, they dress up and are on their best behavior but once the visits are over, the management and coaches on down go back to dressing inappropriately, flip flops, tight, thin material, short dresses, low cut shirts, men with pants hanging like thugs. So it is no wonder there are so many complaints about poor customer service, a customer cannot even speak with a supervisor/coach on an escalated call-they have to wait 24-48 hours for a callback which makes them even angrier and disgusted with USAA.

USAA really needs to investigate the 3rd party companies they retain because what goes on behind the scenes is atrocious and effect many USAA members, myself a USAA member included.

  23. I have been a USAA member for a long time, I'm retired and USAA does not know what it means to serve. Someone hacked into my daughter account, treating my daughter like a criminal telling her she needs a different bank because of the situation. So if USAA know how to serve then we should be taking care of and not treated like garbage and criminals. The rep and manager won't give us corporate number to talk to someone that can help. The manager and rep are unprofessional to my wife who is trying to get to the bottom of this. We are being told she needs to change banks but won't release her money since she is behind in her bills.
