  1. I purchased my Mazda CX7 in 2007 and I paid cash for it. I researched many cars and thought this would be the best car for me. At the time of purchase no one informed me that I could only use PREMIOUM unleaded gas in it or after 100K I would have engine problems. Currently, I do have over 100K miles on my car with no issues in the past other than normal maintenance. I have had diagnostics ran on my car previously and no one mentioned the engine had a build up and that this would cause engine problems in the future. Currently, I have paid $1500 on getting my engine fixed plus a $99 diagnostic to just determine the problem that I had to pay up front (never had to pay for this up front before). While driving home on Thursday (8/16/13), the engine light icon came on AGAIN, and I had to take the car BACK to the dealership to have them look at it AGAIN, and they then informed me of the reason for the engine problems was due to me using regular unleaded gas and not PREMIUM! I use Chevron gas (which is more expensive than other gas), and one of its pitches is that it keeps your car from buildup! So, my reason for this memo is to ask someone to call me and let me know what is the real problem with my car! Is it just a pitch from the dealership to get me to purchase another car? I can see that since everytime I come into to get the normal pick-me-up for my car (oil changes, etc), some sales person is always trying to buy my car and put me into a newer one...so is a ploy to get me to purchase and they are deliberately doing something to my car for that purpose?
    I can be reached - rwynesbe@gmail.com or rwynesberry@tx.rr.com or 817-966-2577.

I have often bragged to others about how great my car is and I've had two of friends purchase Mazda due to the performance I get with mine. S, should I now retract all the good things about my car so they will not have to deal with a bad engine after 100K miles? Why would Mazda craete a car that cannot handle regular unleaded gas?

    Waiting to hear from someone....
