  1. My son introduced me to Taco Cabana in the late 80s. I hadn't been for a while, but kept seeing the commercials on TV. So I decided to get lunch there yesterday. I don't make a lot of money, but I decided to have the sampler. I have never been so disappointed in my life. I would call your commercials FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. What I got yesterday for over $7.00 wasn't good enough to feed to pigs.

  2. Pardon me but your disappointment troubles me as I was in Afghanistan and could only imagine going to TC for a sampler. Mexican food is very expensive in Europe as Germans can only imagine what $7.00 can buy. Average meal at McDonald is about $7.00 so please dont disrespect a company who support the military and customer with good food and prices. Thank you TC for your company...

    1. how dare do you tell some one not to voice their opinion when you joined the military to defend our first amendment right to voice our opinion I am a desert storm vet and I would never tell someone not to voice their opinion first of all my wife works for TC and when I was younger I worked for TC yes their food sucks so much its shity tex-mex its not real mecican food they have a strong food safty policy but when you abuse your employees by not giving them breaks, under paying, not training them right and hiring some employees that speak no English what do you expect I could tell you horror stories about the food that you wouldn't eat there and this one store has been closed down several times by the health department for failing to meet food safety protocol they barely have a passing grade now yes their food sucks its no better than taco bell I say if you want Mexican food find a Mexican restaurant closest toy you and give them a chance you might be better off I mean come on do you want bug parts in your enchilada ..... so I leave you with this their food sucks their under paid under trained and no English speaking employees are not at fault for the short comings of the shity food being server its corporate and store managers fault they suck at their job BOYCOT TACO CABANA UNTILL THEY FIX THEY EMPLOYEES PROBLEMS

Taco cabana is a good ran reaturant I have worked there I gt to actually say taco cabana I worked out was clean food was excellent never seen any kind of bugs in there so don't come on social media bushing some resturant if you don't like no one is telling u to go there just don't come on here bashing the place you say you a Vietnam veteran then grow up js

  3. I have been a loyal Taco C lover for many years. Recently (today) I tried to get a enchalada lunch with chicken. I was told they could not do a chicken enchalada because of corp office. This I do not understand. They can make chicken in anything else but not a enchalada. So this leads me to beleive that they do not have people there that cook and everything comes in prepackaged. So I will now go to another taco place. Where they do actually cook there.

      Unless they changed things since last may, they do have chicken enchiladas. And most things are cooked in house but ALL restaurants have frozen food in the kitchen. TC aactually does more real cooking than most fast food joints

On Saturday I went to taco cabana to buy breakfast for the family barbaqua by the poundI have already gave my kids there food my huaband was the last one to eat I gave him his food next thing I heard him choking and coughing I look over and he was vomiting come to fine out it was a metal wire in his food like the one u use to wash your pots and pans with what if that was my kids 9, 6 & 2 what if it was them it happen to.can I sue them for this

    1. I dont know if you can sue if you can sue if there was no injuries but I would definitely file a report with them. They have special reports just for issue of this type. Barbacoa comes frozen in a bag. That should never have been there unless in was in the pan they "cooked" it in.

  5. Your temple location is the worse location you have..the team is rude the restaurant is nasty.your mangers should not even be managers. .let me tell u this you guys need a whole new team. They suck at customers service and handling food.

  6. I had the chicken flautas yesterday at your El Dorado location in Frisco, TX. They were absolutely the worst chicken flautas that I have ever eaten. You people should be ashamed of yourselves for taking money from people for that kind of junk.

  7. The Taco Cabana on Park in Plano Texas is disgusting. The staff prepared our meal with one glove and wiped her nose with the other hand as she prepared our meal. I asked to speak to the manager and she was just as gross, wiping her face and eating something while telling me her staff does wear gloves. I will never be back.

  8. What kind of people do you employ??? At 240 The manager KIMBERLY MCCOY i seen smoking CRYSTAL METH IN THE TC BATHROOM!!! Then again as we were leaving she was smoking a glass pipe in a black truck!!! Was also told that she sells drugs pills etc...to people while at work!! This is the kind of managers employed at that store!!! Stealing money to pay her drug dealer out of the drawer. All this right in front of us, guess she was so messed up she didnt know we were watching her!!!! Dont eat there!!!

  9. Why does TC think it ok to screw people in the drive thru. This has happened more than once at the TC in Cypress. Ordered 4 Quesadilla's, one with Pico (guess what, got home, no pico on it or on the side) When you eat there each quesadilla comes with guacamole and sour cream. I asked the person at the window if they were in the bag. He said yes. Get home and there are 2 little cups of guacamole and 1 little cup of sour cream. Really! For 4 people to share. Pissed me off......You should get what you pay for!

  10. My wife is pregnant and is totally craving your seasonal tortilla soup and is dismayed and very saddened that you do not service this any longer and your competitor's do. Much to your chagrin, you have lost a long time La Tacasita customer for not serving this anymore, and we are now catering to your competition. :^) PS - are you bathing your tortillas in cold because they seem to have shrunk recently. Not cool! I do love you margaritas at happy hour, but aren't you all known for your food?

The TACO CABANA AT In the plaza on 281 has the WORST STAFF AT DAY I've ever seen I went to order a sampler and the only person with a Decent attitude was THE RECENTLY HIRED woman doing EVERYTHING herself with absolutely no help from get coworkers It's like THEY wanted to see HER fail I told HER she should tranfer to a better company store! Hope SHE takes the advice #NO TEAM WORK

  12. My husband and I have frequented the Taco Cabana at IH 35 and William Cannon for years, mostly for take-out breakfast. We have always enjoyed it until about a month ago when we found our scrambled eggs to be swimming in grease. We had to put the eggs on paper towels to absorb the grease. We assumed they had changed hands--sold the franchise. I went there last night to pick up some corn tortillas since it is closer than the grocery store. I was charged $3.25 for ten tortillas which I thought was rather steep--they seemed a bit put out and took a long time to bag up the tortillas. That pretty much sealed the deal for my never going back there ever again even though we live right down the street.

  13. I used to work at the taco cabana in round rock TX off I35. I was told we received our checks on credit cards given to us by yall, and I ended up quitting 2 or 3 weeks later but was NEVER paid for any of the hours I worked! I went to the restaurant 5 or 6 times telling the manager (Asoni&Salmon) what was going on, they told me they would contact corporate that it had to do with yall. And still months & months later I've yet to be paid. I've also emailed you all and attempted to contact yall several times & still nothing! Never again will I want to work for you all, or even eat your pre-measured food (which is a rip off) I'll also be telling everyone about how you run your business!

    1. To Anonymous on Februrary 15, 2014 Check Texas Wage Law on the internet, and call a lawyer. They are breaking State Law, and possibly Federal Law. An attorney wont charge just to talk to you.Try your local Legal Aide, it won't cost you a thing.

  14. I have been a loyal Taco Cabana customer for many years. Today I purchased my lunch which came in a black styrofoam-like material. No where did I find a recycle emblem. I called the location of purchase. Was told that the big containers are recyclable, but the small one is not. This is inexcusable. Why no emblem if recyclable, why suddenly change your packaging to non-recyclable. You have lost a once faithful customer.

  15. No subtitutions? is a companies rule? I went to you restaurant. on. Friday 5/30/14 at the location on webb chapel and forest lane at 11:50 am and trie to order i caba plater with NO chicken flauta and the casher said no substition company rule.. SO IS TRUE YOU HAD THE RULE?

  16. I visited the Taco Cabana in Houston TX at 290 and Tidwell on 6/7/14 around 10:00pm and purchased a fajita taco. When I opened it, was not pleased with the quantity of meat. I took the taco back inside and spoke with the manager - she became very loud and rude and told me that I come there four times a week asking for free food. This is not true - I don't know if she had mistaken me for someone else; however I did not appreciate her embarrassing me in front of the other customers. I told her that she was very unprofessional and did not know how to handle customer service. She said that she would call the constable; therefore I told her that I would contact the home office. She is a young African American female and it is my opinion that she needs to take some type of class to help her better communicate with customers in a more professional manner.

  17. The TC in Tulsa, OK is a complete joke! As i waited 10-15 minutes for someone to take my order inside the store the employees and manager were having discussions about drugs and sex. I was appalled at such behavior. One of the employees reeked with the smell of marijuana, like he had just smoked recently. The customer service was terrible and when I asked to speak to the manager she rudely cut me off multiple times and proceeded to tell me to leave her store!! Outraged i asked for the number to corporate and when i did get the number, I left a message and haven't gotten a response yet. Does any of the management have the correct management skills? Does anyone know anything about good customer service? The store looked like a train wreck and the cursing coming from behind the counter made me feel like I was in a very hostile environment. I WILL NOT BE EATING AT TACO CABANA IN TULSA EVER AGAIN!!!

  19. I just left Taco Cabana in Kemah, TX. I ordered 2 Street Taco deals with iced tea. When I got to the window, JOSE told me $11.24 and took my debit card. When he handed back my card and one iced tea, I said I had two of those,meaning the tea. He said TWO. I said yes I ordered two street taco meals with ice tea. Jose says "YOU WANTED STREET TACO MEAL DEAL?" I said yes that's what I ordered. Since there were six cars in front of me and now at least that many behind me (and I had dealt with Jose before) I started to tell him to just give me what he had (as I knew street taco deal was only street tacos and a drink) and I would take that but before I could finish speaking, he slammed the window on me. I effectively sat in TIME OUT at the window while I watched him fill several bags and my one lone sweating ice tea sat on the counter. After a bit, he came over to the window and handed me a bag that contained exactly six street tacos and another ice tea. I took that moment to tell him that I was trying to offer to just take whatever he had already prepared and leave when he slammed the window in my face. He said "okay ma'am" and shut the window AGAIN in my face. He did not apologize or offer any explanation on why I waited ten minutes for what he effectively had ready when I pulled up. I have put up with this convenient location and overlooked them preparing food after handing money, and putting 3 instead of 4 tacos in a take out bag more times than I can count. But this is the limit. I will not go back. I can drive over Kemah bridge and go to Haberneros or up the street to the tacqueria. I will also let everyone I know what a crap shoot this place is.

You have people working at TC ,that dont know mexican food.I.honored enchilada dinner my beans was on top of my rice my salad, it was in the enchiladas it was a meant not feed a dog the people need to learn the menu and know what Mexican food is they don't know what Mexican food here the ones that are working there and if you ask for it and they don't know how to fix the deal say they don't have it are there out of it I love Taco Cabana I have eaten there several times but your crew has changed completely to one nationality please check your store in Houston Texas best meals I've main at night.

  22. I went to work at taco cabana in New Braunfels Tx. My first day I was cleaning I found dead crickets on there forks and spoons when I told them they just laughed like it was no big deal. They still wanted to put them out where people could use them. I still haven't gotten paid either when I tried to activate the card they gave me it keeps saying they haven't received my enrollment paperwork.

  23. I started working there only to not be called into work. I didn't get a uniform and they never returnes my calls after a week. I didn't get paid either. I wasted my time if they didn't plan on actually hiring me. At least I got my certification to sell alcohol.

    1. *Returned* Also, orientation was so disorganized at the Dallas/Ft. Worth Turnpike location a.k.a store# 265. I called corporate only to be transferred three times and didn't receive any help regarding this situation. BTW, thanks a lot, I can't pay this month's rent.

  26. I shared a video on facebook of a group of mexican men who were served at taco cabana in Mckinnley tx and were asked to eat outside. The video shows the men on a cold night sitting in front of TC eating their food on the sidewalk. SHAMEFUL. no more TC for me.

  27. During Monday night's flooding in Houston, I was stopped near a Taco Cabana (7501 Bellaire Blvd.) with an "Open 24 Hours" sign. People on foot and escaping their cars kept going up to it and the employees had locked the doors. They were inside watching TV and laughing at people that came up and pulled at the locked door trying to get in. I tried at one point and they laughed at me.

  28. I ordered breakfast today, Friday, May 29, 2015, at the Taco Cabana located at 6040 Bandera, San Antonio. The cashier seemed angry and not wanting to be there. He gave me a gadget with a number 89 but didn't say anything to me. I sat down and waited and waited for over 25 minutes. Finally, I walked up to the counter by the cook and asked the young woman about my food. She responded in a bad mood "it's not ready." I waited some more. Then I noticed there were some trays with food on her counter. I asked if one was my order #89 and she pointed to one tray. I asked her, "Why didn't anyone take it to my table or at least why didn't you call out my number?"
    her bad-mood answer, "I have other orders!"

    Also, during my long wait, I noticed that another man with a slight beard behind the counter was handling the tortillas off the machine WITHOUT WEARING GLOVES although he was the new cashier!

    Taco Cabana is a dangerous place to eat food plus lousy service.

  29. I frequent the Taco Cabana on 8101 Main, Hou, TX, there is an employee by the name of Felicia.

    Your company hired a great person to represent your company, I mind you I visit this location at least 2 -3 times a week thanks to my 13 year old son that just loves her.

    She is always pleasant, smiling, nice and neat, and she is always going above her duties for the customers.

    I'm not sure what kind of reward or award you give to your employees for doing a great job,or however your company recognizes employees...I hope my comment about Felicia does not be ignored and she is recognized for great job she does everyday.

  30. TACO CABANA FOOD IS NOT MEXICAN ITS REALLY TEX MEX THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY SELL THAT IS MEXICAN BESIDES THE BARBACOA AND THEY TRY TO GIVE THE SMALLEST PORTION AMOUNT POSSIBLE. THEY TREAT THIER EMPLOYEES LIKE CRAP I MEAN REAL CRAP THE EMPLOYEES DEAL ALOT FROM CUSTOMERS AND THEY DONT GET PAID ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH IT. THEYRE OVER PRICED FOR SEMI TASTY FOOD.   31. I went to the taco cabana on sw military dr for happy hour and ordered the bean and cheese nachos and some drinks. A Rex Coil or Cool took my order. After I got my order, the beans tasted bad so I went and told the girl serving food and asked how long the beans have been sitting there and she said that she just put them there. I said if I could have a fresh order and she ignored me and turned around. When my girlfriend went to the restroom she said it was so filthy that she got nauseous. We just left without finishing our drinks and food...so frustrated. That is a reflection of the managerial skills of MR REX COIL or COOL

  32. I recently started work at Tc and I have to say the food and employees are DISGUSTING!!! Half the employees don't wash their hands and NEVER use gloves to handle peoples food! The employees and management are very rude to each other and customers. They leave food sitting in the line all day long at times and then mix old food with new food and still serve it. That is a food safety hazard. FOOD CONTAMINATION!!! TACO CABANA ON Broadway and Mulberry is a very dirty place.

    I have a compliant for store #158 and the staff is name David from Russia and I love all people and believe in educating people as a Educator. Now arrived at store # 158 a couple of days ago, it started like this I ran into people I haven't seen in a long time now I am recognizing that David is very upset because wanting me to order and I was the only one in line. Now I still haven't order but I asked David can I borrowed a pen ,the first thing that comes out of his mouth is don't run away with the pen then I used it and gave right back to him so ,I educated him about black people and we are not all like you read in Russia. Last, I have decided not to order and interacting with everyone including the sercurity on duty didn't have a problem but David did because I didn't buy anything. Now I'm on my way to my to leave but I ran into one of my student in the patio area David comes out frustratred and told in a ugly way to leave property then he goes inside to beckon the security and he didn't have any proplem at all. Well go back again to see if anything has change.

  34. Taco Cabana is not and never will be good place to work!. Its filled with too many crooked managers who cannot do their job right as a good manager and constantly put too much stress on the employess by bullying them or trying to get them to quit on purpose so that they do not have to pay the compensation. Of course the top dogs of this company DO NOT CARE! because they are filled with complete greed and they dont make sure their employees are doing okay when the employees are the ones keeping their company alive. Without employees, Taco Cabana would be nothing and the top dogs wouldnt be receiving a dime if it werent for hard working employees. Taco Cabana has a very small number of actual good/hardworking employees and managers but has a larger number of bad/unprofessional employees and managers.

  35. First of all before I begin I would like to advise everyone to never work at a Taco Cabana. It is not worth anybody's time. There a lot more better options out there. I myself am a formal employee and I recently got done speaking with the corporate office about an issue I had to address but she was responding to me and a really rude and unappealing manner. When I was speaking to them, they simply kept saying is that "all you need" in such a rude manner. and she to top it off she didn't even end the call with a proper conclusion. She just kept saying "Okay is that you need? Okay bye" This company just cares about making money. They are very careless about their employees and rarely ever employees get promotion or recognition for what they do. I mean employees have to deal with a lot in this place and yet they dont receive a little thank yoy for handling this situation nor nothing. Its just not a fair company. And the food is not all the great here. I could honestly say that little places like the little taco stands you see on the corners give you much better experience. That's where the real food is actually serve cuz they actually care about their customers and employees.

  36. My wife and I went to Tc located on SE military dr in San Antonio.we waited 30 minutes to get our food .the order was wrong requested to speak to the manager about the order and slow service. She replied I let employees leave early.told her that service there was bad and she hung up on me. Called back someone else answered the phone.the employee was rude asked for her name and she replied what the fuck is your name. Tc should teach or train their employees how to treat the customer. Tried getting general manager name but thy refused to give me information
