    1. Oh my goodness. The only positive reply. Happy for you. The other offices suck! Oh, they lie & steal too!

  2. I recently made the mistake of renting a storage unit in San Jose at the 150 Tully Road site. My wonderful experience began with at first renting the wrong size unit at the sale price, then the following day having to rent the correct size at full price, because "we can do nothing about the computers" Later that day, having loaded up my rental van to move in, I received surprise #2.....they
had forgotten to unlock my unit for me! So I returned home a day poorer, having a truckload of stuff and nowhere to put it. Fast forward a few days....am moving more stuff in, and there are signs everywhere advising customers of new hours......gate hours are to be 8am to 8pm, and office hours to "mirror" that. Unfortunately, no one of the many who work there seemed to be aware of the meaning of the word "mirror". So that night after 6pm, several other gasping, exhausted customers and I were all treated to having to lug everything in by hand because there were no carts available, the office being....closed, of course. Never any type of apology or acknowledgement of this later, just some "cover up" signs replacing the original.
Gets worse.......figuring they might have delayed implementing the change, then, and I would at least have a (now badly needed) hour to move my stuff in, I tried calling the site.....and had as much luck reaching someone there as I would have had trying to reach Santa Claus. I did succeed in reaching a company-wide number, who's representative cheerfully assured me the gates would indeed remain open until 9 that night.
I spent the night locked in, as - you guessed it - it proved to be untrue.
Then I received a scolding for not returned a padlock key until after 8 "because others may need to use that cart" even though, being closed, it was impossible for them TO borrow it...not to mention there are far more than necessary carts there anyways. But, I have learned the people "running" this site do not miss a chance to berate their customers - ever! This morning, I awoke to a call complaining I was on the "grounds" after hours....no, not inside the gates, but outside by the street a few minutes after closing loading down the last of some stuff I was removing. I could have done it the previous week, except it was raining - and they allowed some apparently "special" customer (a friend?) to pull a u-haul truck right up against the open front door, blocking anyone else from being able to use it. As for being off the grounds at 8pm sharp, the incredibly rude people in the office sure manage to - at 8pm I was unable to retrieve my drivers license, as although they saw me coming for it, slammed and locked the door in my
face. Back to my call......it ended with the person I was talking to hanging up on me when I mentioned the word "talk to the district manager" to her. But having been advised days earlier that it didn't matter, "he has our back"....I wasn't really serious about doing THAT. (plus, I had been made aware of my relative insignificance anyways, being a renter of "only one of 2,400
units) At least she did talk to me before hanging up, about half of the workers there simply ignore you when you walk up to the ask. With 5 - yes FIVE - employees there one day gabbing, I had to actually ask if someone - anyone - could help me....and then wait a minute (while they decided if that was possible, I guess)
Am I a "chronic complainer" Noooooo......I have NEVER posted a negative review of anything, or "written to corporate", or anything like that before in my life. My hugely positive review of my previous storage company can still be read online, and I have done the same for my bank and phone company's representatives. But having gone through the non-stop, employee generated crap I have here - and all have occured in less than this, my first month - I feel it's my duty to warn everybody......STAY AWAY!!!

    2. I agree and this is the first time I've ever rented a unit where negligence plays a big part I am still calling in regard to my unit which I have not been able to access since the day I've moved my things in and was told not to worry and that I would be compensated for my troubles. Worst experience of my life and in the process of maybe losing my belongings because of this negligence.

  3. Negligence! They have ruined everything in my unit because of 2 leaks!

  4. The Irwindale location is having technical difficulties with the gate. So access hours have been shortened without notice. I would expect property management to at least be onsite to accommodate customers during normal business hours. Yet these is no one available at the facility and no way of contacting them.

This is very upsetting and frustrating because this incedent is interfering with my business and is going to cost me several hundred dollars. I pay a lot of money for the largest and most expensive unit that this location has to offer. This is very irresponsible on the property management's behalf. I should expect some form of accommodation for this inconvenience. This will make me reconsider from continuing to do business with your company.

  5. These are not trained affiliates an surely makes p.s. look bad! The staff are unhappy, inconsiderate beings that will reflect loss of money for company if they continue at the location on Plainfield. Paul an the mad black female are most definitely a bad taste. The reviews they rec..previously all in same time frame ..were paid reviews..not real...every customer that entertained review were paid 20 bucks off of their fee that was owed or due...I know because I was there an asked to do so..but I did not...and I'm not a freaking liar for money! These are a bad name for business an a joke...I was going through some very rough times an these people never waived s penny..they charged me up..an threatened my property for auction each month..even though I paid each month a ppa. God don't like ugly...may he have mercy on these Clowns. This review

  6. Public Storage is awful. If you are even thinking of renting a unit from this company - DO NOT DO IT. They will only take your money. They are not accommodating at all and they do not care about your belongings. I have had the WORST EXPERIENCE with company and their staff. They hire people that will expect horrible pay and in return Public Storage Customers get the reflection of their irritation. I am a customer at Louetta Rd. location here in Houston, TX. I have warned my colleagues, business partners, family, friends and church family to not use this company. Not to mention - they're hours of dreadful. 8am to 6pm is NOT accommodating for ANYONE IN THIS WORLD. How in the world are people supposed to work and live normal lives with hours like this? This company needs to reamp and rethink their strategy. I was promised a 7.5 X 10 unit one month for a discounted rate, then told they didn't have any when the time came, then found out they lied to keep me in my current $150 a month 10X10 contract - found out online that they had 2 available with the $70 (discounted rate), scheduled move out and scheduled move in date online, called the next day to pay over the phone, told I could move out and all was fine, I then proceeded to open my mouth and tell them that I would be more than happy to stay in my current unit for the same price (which is what we had discussed 2 months prior - only a discounted rate for my unit), once stating this "mistake" - I was then told "maam I have to actuallly check if you're allowed to get this rate bc it's online," I then stated - what does it matter if it's online, I can still get it, she then proceeded to say that the online price was only for new customers, i then stated my case which was i am a new customer i don't want to even be with public storage bc of my experience and the only reason i'm client with you all is bc morning star storage was unfortunately bought out by y'all, she then called the manager and called me back stating she was right i can't get that price, i stated there is not a disclosure or disclaimer stating that it's only for new customers anyway so i naturally demanded the price, she said no, i then called the district manager - i was LIVID at this point, the DM listened although then began to explain to me protocol and how the unit pricing works (completely insulting my intelligence) and FINALLY stated that yes i am right and i can get the online price and that i would get pro-rated and etc., I DID NOT CARE - that's what i STATED I WANTED TO BEGIN WITH!!!!!, AFTER ALL THIS - i finally go on a friday after work (speeding bc Houston, TX traffic is getting outrageous bc everyone wants to live here bc there is no state tax), everything was fine - pro-rated for 3 days, THEN IT GETS WORSE RIGHT WHEN I THINK IT'S GETTING BETTER, i could not move out after the 3 day mark bc the person that was going to be able to assist last minute could not assist, so i finally set a date to have that person assist me - all is set in stone, it's TUESDAY - i take off work early at 5pm - speed to the location which is 30 min from me - it took me an hour - i call the quote on quote manager CANDY (i detest her) to tell her i will be 5 minutes after 6pm - all she has to do is take my $16 dollars and unlock PS key, she says "NO" i leave at 6pm!, i say please i hoping you will stay for 5 min i just drove all the way from work this is my only day, she STILL says NO, i get there at 5 after 6pm, she locked the door, i wait for 20 minutes bc I'm so mad i can't even drive, at 6:20 she's just hanging out around her car - doing nothing!!!!! I AM BEYOND DONE WITH PUBLIC STORAGE. THEY ARE INCONSIDERATE AND NOT ACCOMMODATING!! DO NOT GO WITH PUBLIC STORAGE EVER.

  7. Yes I will except my part in being delinquent in my storage payment this leading to my storage unit being sold in auction but in my defense is was I was hospitalized and left itin trust to a non-trust worthy relative ,BUT THE FACT THAT THE PERSON WHO GARNERED YOUR LIFE IN A NUT SHELL IS NOT OBLIGATED TO BY PUBLIC STORAGE TO RETURN YOUR PERSONAL PAPERS ,AHES OF A LOVED -ONE ! AND LIFE PHOTO'S IS SO HEART-LESS & NON HUMAN LIKE NOT EVEN GIVEN THE OPPURTUNITY TOO PURCHASE MY LIFE BACK !

I've called the DISTRICT MGR (Douglas) also his MGR and left many msg ,,,,,,he of course said he left a E-MAIL for a request of the annonymous to us purchaser of MY LIFE to return MY PERSONAL STUFF that will never be used for anything !!! SO UN FAIR & NON-CARING !!!

  9. Public storage in Woodbridge Va is unclean and only one cart through out the whole complex for moving items... I recently rented there and will not recommend it to anyone. My rent was increased without my knowledge and/or consent and when I asked to be pro-rated for the remaining time I did not use the unit. The District Manager, Andrew Hilsabeck, informed me of the contract and I understand however there is something called customer services. One my rent was increased and two I paid it on 11/02/14 and moved on 11/08/14 and feel some concession should be allowed.

    1. Good luck. Their mission is to have several, different people tell you several, different things. It's a well-played game. I hope it comes back on all of them 10 times worse than how they take advantage of innocent people.

  10. We have been renting a storage unit from the following location of Public Storage 6049 N. 77th Street, Milwaukee, WI. for about 3 years there have been numerous break in's at this facility. On yesterday 11/24/14 we received a call that our storage unit had been broken into. When we arrived at the property there were alot of units broken into and to be exact the total number was 62. This is unacceptable and as much money as people pay for these storage units they should be safe and secure. We even spoke to a Milwaukee Police Officer that informed us that they have been called to the location about 50 times within the past month. He even stated that this company needs to install camera's in the bay areas where the storage units are located. We must agree that this needs to be done immediately. We will be contacting the CEO Ronald L. Havner, Jr., to inform him of this matter, the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint and if necessary we will contact Katrina Kravey at contact 6. If anyone is looking for a storage unit please don't use this facility.

    1. I wish you the best. A bunch of liars work here, and they will definitely talk over you to confuse you. I was told that "someone" called and closed my account. It wasn't verified who called, so I'm sure that I hadn't come by, on a whelm, I would've had my unit stolen from as well. I hope to have a better 2015. I know I will after I move my belongings elsewhere!

  12. I am so unhappy with your company. I called the office and leave a message and never get a return call back, I called corp, they adjust the late fees but don't address why Im being charged late fees, I called and left a message again at the corp level, someone called and left a message right after Christmas and I have no way of getting back in touch with that person, because they left no name. what does it take to have a conversation with someone on my issues.. Geesh

    1. I really wish I had have read these messages before I got a unit there. From what the employees there told me, they will tell you what you want to hear. Their jobs are to get sales!

  13. I called a rep on the phone to reserve a unit. The $1 first month special turned into an over $58 move-in. Because it was 4 days before the first of the month, I was charged again a regular fee. The person at the facility told me that information was left out so as to get a sale. These liars will keep your belongings hostage unless you agree to pay over $90 for the first month. Karma is a so-and-so. I'm going somewhere else for better service because I just got a phone call for another month! This is worse than daytime soaps! My reason for saying that is because the employees say they have regrets or that they're getting better jobs. (smh)

  15. I emptied my two units in Kendall Florida on February 26, 2015 leaving the units immaculate as I received it with a final inspection from the storage employee. I also made them aware that my overpayment of a month on each unit should be forwarded to my new address to which I provided. Today is May 20th 11 weeks (2 1/2 months) of being told by Peter, Lisa, Kathleen that my refund has been approved but yet returned. Now my understanding is if they don't receive your payment by the 6th of the first they have the right to lock you out and auction your belongings. So I guess that makes great business practice. I will be filing a better business complaint copying the Attorney General.

BELOW IS AN UPDATED RESUME OF THE WORK I DID FOR YOU OF GLENDALE CA PUBLIC STORAGE NY STOCK EXCHANGE ALL THE INVESTORS AND OF COURSE THE LOCAL STORAGE IN SOQUEL WHERE ERIKA IS OF THAT LOCATION
THE RESUME I WAS USING BEFORE HAD AN OPEN PART OF I WAS DOING THE CLEANING WEEKLY
THIS ONE IS I DID THE CLEANING For more than a year and a half I had been doing the cleaning for a place called public storage, they are on the new york stock exchange of a public corporation. Sunday in the late afternoon a person name Erika had said that the Corporation and all of her bosses had said the liability of having someone do the work whom is not an employee of public storage could become to much. And so Erika had said I would have to stop the work completely because of the liability to the corporation of the fact I am not an employee to the corporation. I can see their point. No insurance are they ' the corporation is covering me under to do the work'. So for a reference feel free to call the corporation in Glendale California and the local Santa Cruz County office on soquel drive of public storage ask for Erika their of local office

  18. Wow I got the same thing but I got sick for 3 months and couldn't work and they just won't let me give them most of the money $600 is what I have and it's $900 and something but it's because they want to auction it off to get more money and that's everything I own . It hurt so bad because my husband just got out the military and all of his military metals are in there and things Like that that you can't replace I cry every day because I know if he knew we would be done and they won't work with me I try calling corporate but nobody responds to me and it's so sad because I think someone is going to get hurt because all of them That work for public storage are nasty they disrespectful even the managers . If anyone knows what I can do please tell me I think I'm going to file a lawsuit because they told me whoever get my things from the auction tomorrow that they don't have to give my important information like anything with Social Security numbers on it or anything of that sort they can keep it so we have a problem .

  19. Anaheim location.

Car broke down inside the gate, couldnt get it started at 9pm, took me 10 or 15 min to get it started. Went to pay my bill and was told I had a three day notice saying that i broke the rule to not be onsite after 9pm and to not work on cars inside the location. Now I am not a mechanic was not repairing the car, tried the battery cables, spray starter fluid the norm and it started. Got out of there and did not think about it.Now they are saying we have to move by Wednesday. I have heard this is a new district manager that is very strict, but I did not try to break any of her rules the car would not start. I explained that to her and she said she understood but we still had to go.
