  1. Your company is a huge rip off....selling eyeglasses for people who don't need them. What a way to run a business...

  3. Lens Crappers is a huge waste of money, you can get 2 pairs of glasses for what they charge there for one pair.

  4. I was at your store and requested a repair (just to tighten a screw on my glasses). What do you think. They asked me to buy a new pair. Very very dissapointed as my family is a regular customer of your company.
I went to Costco and they did it in a heartbeat no charge.
SHAME ON YOU LensCrafters. I will never ever buy glasses from you.

  5. A decade ago their customer service was very bad, Now, presuming they would have changed their business service, ordered glasses on 2/25 and the glasses came without the standard reflective coating on the high power lens. We paid $400+ in all. My daughter who is a senior high school A + student, started getting headaches and eye pain and we called the store to find out when the replacement lenses will come in. Their blunt answer was we do not know. Talked to the head quarters and finally the store agreed to pay back the money once I return the product, with no compensation whatsoever for the lost time, energy and inconvenience to the student of a high school who is in her last semester, getting ready for college. Total RIPOFF in the first place and absolutely arrogant behavior with no Customer service. Never to recommend anyone to Lenscrafters.

  6. I am 1000% disgusted with your company. I've been a customer for over 15 years and never had an issue but now it's so awful, I wouldn't recommend you to a single person. Tried calling and all you get is bounched around. Called the executive line -- voicemail. You've lost one very loyal customer for sure!!!

  7. I'm a veteran and just had my eye exam done here in town at the local VA. I took my prescription into the local lenscrafters and they would NOT take my prescription because the Doctors name wasn't on it. I bet they were more than willing to get me to pay for another eye exam though... I was willing to pay top dollar for what I wanted but now neither me nor any of my family will EVER step foot in your store again. Now I know why there was only a 2.5 star rating on YELP before going in! Unhappy Vet, Santa Rosa, CA

  8. yes, i agree with all of you. They should have never buy DOC> I had better luck with DOC than Lenscrafters. My store closed and said my records went to that store. Then they said no we do not have them. DOC WAS THE BEST>

  9. Lenscrafters NORWOOD COMMENDATION- I had a pair of Rayban frames fall apart. This cost me a job opportunity. Lens fell out. The sales reps I spoke to
were very professional and they immediately got me a matching new frame. This is a great location for customer service

  10. Hi, I recently purchased some glasses from your company. The optromitrist was adequate, personable and profession although I did spend more time with her aid or tech. I'm 62 and this is only the second time I have taken the time to write a company about a specific employee Her name was Lis short for . elizabeth . Late forties, charming african american. I ran a small business 120 employees for 30 years. And realize the value of a good employee. I do not know her position , she maybe the store manager even at that she is being under utlized. If I was still in the game she'd be a disrtict manager for sure. Take a look you a have a gem in the raw. thank you for your time . Joe Jackson

  13. I purchased a pair of glasses on October 21, 2014 and was told that my glasses would have to be sent away to the lab because the prescription was not at the store and it would take 7 days to get back. I paid for them right then. WELL...I checked on my glasses after 7 days and they were never sent away. I asked for a refund because I received no communication from the store or lab about my glasses. The store said it would be 2 weeks to get my refund. I contacted corporate office about my complaint and they said they would expediate my check. I spoke to the manager Erica and confirmed my address and info. And still no check. I called corporate again and spoke to James another manager. He repeated an incorrect address and it was determined my check went some place else. He stopped the check and reordered another check. Still no check. Nov. 11th I contacted Erica again and my new check was still not sent. I asked what happened and I heard too many lies to repeat. I asked why my check couldn't have been next day mail and why no one called me. I'm doing all the calling. All of a sudden my phone rings from the store to tell me they are 2 day mailing my check. It is Nov 12, 2014. Let's see how long this takes!!!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR COMMUNICSTION FROM CORPORATE AND CHESAPEAKE SQUARE STORE IN VIRGINIA!!!!

  14. I only wish I would've google Lenscrafter before I became a victim of poor service. My order for my contacts anf glasses were to be made on 11/3/14 and received by 10 business days. After numerous calls and a demand to speak with a manager in hte store, it was discovered my order wasn't placed. Now I should have them between Dec 1 -3, 2014. Read the comments - and BEWARE of Lenscrafters.

  15. Unfortunately I am one more customer who had a horrible service experience at Lenscrafters in Santa monica. They made glasses that were not correct and then would not fix them. And when I tried to deal with the manager to address the problem, she was rude and they would not honor the return policy until I mentioned litigation. These folks are border line crooks- Avoid them.

  16. My experience has lasted so far 6 months. Wrong prescription from Optomatrist. Wrong filling of prescription, Marty said I had to get used to prescription, told me to hold my book differently, told me frames were too small for my prescription. On and on. Took them home still couldn't read brought them back and they ordered new lenses said couple of weeks. Took 2 months. Coating delaminated from glasses. Got new ones they were great. Two months later they are so delaminated that I can not see. Eyes are sticking together from eye strain, headaches, watering and itching. Talked to new mgr. guess what he did? He sent me back to Marty, the one that I said I would never talk to again. He says it must be something environmental not faulty coating. I must be doing something to them. I am going to call an attorney.

  17. not sure I need to put in my complaint after reading all of these. We too have dealt with Lenscrafters for many years. In the beginning got good service and glasses, but then things started to change. My husband went for a new pr. of glasses, which came back for the try-on so bad he couldn't see out of them, and they said it was his fault, he wasn't trying hard enough. The bottom line to that whole scene was that the Lab person transposed two figures in the prescription and that was why my husband couldn't see out of them. "Sorry 'bout that" was what they said, as he waited another whole hour for the new lenses to be made.
I got online and wrote a letter to Lenscrafters Headquarters, the bottom line to that was that my husband was given free a new pr. of prescription sunglasses, which he's been wanting but we couldn't afford.
Today I made the trip to the local Lenscrafters to have my lense put back in after the frame came apart. This was the 2nd time for these glasses, but the 3rd pr. this has happened to in past years from Lenscrafters. When I started to complain the gentleman whom I think might have been the manager said, "It's only a screw - we'll have it repaired in 3 minutes"!!! I stopped him and told him exactly how I felt about their craftmanship at Lenscrafters, to which he replied "I'm sorry you feel that way". 30 minutes, not 3 minutes later I got my glasses back.
We too, are thinking we won't shop at Lenscrafters any more. I put my glasses on first thing in the morning and take them off last thing at night, I cannot afford to have lenses fall out at the mere touch of the glasses, than have to travel to a store to get them repaired and treated with such disdain that I could have been to blame.
Well, Lenscrafters, IF IT'S ONLY A SCREW then why aren't those screws put in so they don't come out so easily. It's near to impossible w/o my glasses to put one of those tiny screws back in, so a trip to the store is imperative.
Lenscrafters Headquarters, you'd better do something or your business is going going going to gone !!!

  19. Hi, I purchased a pair of glasses that totaled $587.94 on 01.28.2015. A coworker told me that I could have bought two pair of glasses fot that price. Well, I went to return my glasses to Lenscrafter on 02.17.2015. The sales associate tried to give me a $100 off my glasses I said "No" I want my refund to be credit back to my Flex Spending Card. I check my Flex Spending Account on 02.23.2015 and noticed my refund still hasn't been credit back to my account. I contact my Connect You Care that's incharge of my Flex Spending Account and was told Lenscrafter need to release the credit so my account can be credit back. Well, I called the store on 03.03.2015 and was told by a sales associate the manager was busy so I left my number for her to call me back. She has not returned my call as of 03.06.2015. I went to the store on 03.06.2015 and told her that I haven't receive my refund and she called Help Desk and they put in an audit ticket on 03.06.2015, well guess what? It is 03.10.2015 and I haven't heard from Lenscrafter manager (Shenita) at Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville, Georgia nor have I received my refund. It will be a month on 03.17.2015. So, I have no glasses & no money! Hmmm. I'll just waiting to see how long this will take.

And I was a loyal customer for years of Lenscrafter I'm currently taking my business else where. I just want my money back. And yes I want a response from them.

  20. Don't waste your time on going to LenCrafters. They will never get any business from my family again. My husband and I went in for an exam and glasses. Not the most friendly people either. Filled our paperwork and gave them our insurance information. Seen doctor which lasted a matter of a few minutes-not pleased with the detail of the exam. We went on to pick out the glasses we wanted to try and we were to told to wait a few minute and they kept waiting on people that were walking in (total of 5 other customers) while my husband and I sit there waiting to be helped. Finally after 30-40 minutes we told them to let us pay what I owed them we had to leave, we did not have to waste. About 30 minutes later we received a call from one of the lenscrafters employees and she left a message which I still have on my phone, saying she was sorry for not getting to us in a timely manner and that if we would come back they had 50% off coupons for us to use. So I decided to go back and give them another try. I went back and a different woman waited on me and I explained to her what had happened and she told me to go ahead and pick out what I wanted. I finally picked out a pair and found the pair that my husband had picked out and she set his aside and I had her figure up the cost on mine and then on his and it was quite expensive and I ask if that was with the 50% off and she said well she didn't know what the other girl told me so she went and talk with her and came back and said she thought we had a couple of pair each and she didn't mean 50% off of it. Then this lady said she would let me have mine for 50% and then she figured my husbands with our insurance ($500+) and without ($400+) and told me it was cheaper to pay cash and save my insurance for later and I ask if she could explain this. She spoke jibberish trying to explain this to me. I told her this was not my understanding and that she could keep it all and told her to have a good day and left. This just did not go over good with me so I called customer service and explain the issue and spoke with a Lance and gave him the information and he told me he would have the district manager to call me in 2 business day and they would refund my copay and credit my insurance company. I waited 2 business days and I had not received a call, so I called to follow-up and this time I spoke with Alexis and she could not find anything on my complaint under my name, so she looked up my phone number and of course there wasn't anything there. I told her everything all over again and she informed me that Lance gave me false information and they could give me my money back or credit my insurance company. that she would have to talk with Lance and see why he gave me this information but he was off today. I ask to speak with her supervisor and she put me on hold and came back and she was busy and I told her I would hold until she could speak with me and she told me I could not do that they someone would call me back. I ask to speak to someone in human resource and I was told I could not speak with them either. I would not recommend Lenscrafters to anyone.

  22. I went to have my eyes exam at Lenscrafter in Snellville, GA. The doctor was very nice, personable and professional. The technician was very nice, she researched the best deal for me. She told me my glasses would take about a week to get in because they were not in the stock at the store. I received a called on 05/25/2015 from lenscrafters saying my glasses were in. I went to pick the glasses up. Since this was a holiday I knew the doctor would not be in. I got to the store I walked to the desk to sign in, There was a middle age women and a younger guy sitting at the front desk. I proceeded to sign in. The woman stated the Doctor is not in today, I explained to her I was picking up glasses, She informed me there was no need to sign in for pick up. That was the end of our conversation. There was a tech with a customer. she did not say someone will be with you or have a seat, she continue working with the gentlemen as if I was not there. Then a white women comes in with her daughter to get her glasses tighten, she smiled at them told them to have a seat and someone will be with them in a minute. She gets up goes to the back and as the other tech to come out and assist the customer. the tech comes out and see there are multiple people, she was very smart to ask who was here first.. The older lady comes back out and sees another white women at the counter, she walks over to her asked her what can I help you with and proceeded to help her. Now if you were me would you feel the person working there did not want to assist me because I was black. I did and they will not ever have to worry about me coming to them again. I emailed corporate and the Doctor. I let her know I appreciated her kindness, but I will not be returning due to the way I was treated when I picked up my glasses. I wanted her to know she was losing a customer because the help was rude. This is the only way you can stop this kind of racism. Let people who pockets it will effect know and they will make a change because money is the same it does not matter what color the person giving to you is.

  25. I started a new job making good money as a nurse, due to not being able to view writing on screen that rest on the medication cart...I visited Len Crafters in Franklin Tennessee @ Cool Springs Mall. After exam and waiting for glasses to be ready that afternoon, I was introduced to Bifocals. I was told it would take a few weeks to get use to glasses. I returned to work following day and was blinder than a bat. I went back to my family eye doctor (which is only open M-F) that examined my eyes...come to find out exam done at mall was not correct, the script written did not match lens in glasses and I did not need bifocals. Len Crafters employees are not properly doing their job, what if I never found out my glasses and script were all wrong and this would of seriously messed my eyes up more than they are already. What would of happened if I tried to wear these as told for several weeks and had a wreck and killed someone or myself due to glasses not being right. Len Crafters should pull their heads out of their buttocks and worry about being held responsible for a lot of problems they are bringing on themselves. I will never return to this company or recommend them. If you honestly care about your eyesight and want to be properly examined and given glasses that will improve your vision....RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THIS COMPANY. Yes, I learned a big lesson and also got a full refund.

  26. I am upset with the doctor at the lens crafters in the mongomery mall northwales pa location the dr kept saying I needed to go to a specialist with a cataract that needed surgery well I went the dr told me it did not need surgery it was too small so went back to the lenscrafters dr and she gave me a test and gave a presciption so I got new glasses, I still could not see close up she said it is your eyes not the glasses, she sent me back to the specialist and she said again it was not my eyes but the glasses I ended up going back to the specialist the third time things were still the same, so The dr at lenscfraters told to wear the glasses for a bit so I did that well I went back still was not ok for close up like I told her the first visit so she checked my eyes again then offered me a prescrition reader which you cant get in the local store so I had to pay out another 150.00 on top of the 4 hundred and some dollars on the first pair well I was getting headaches from taking my regular glasses off and on from the readers, so I was pass my thirty days due to the dr's fault they would not take them back and I complained so the manager went around with us saying it was not the dr's fault and i must of need ed the readers I said why did'nt the dr just make the bottom of the progessives stronger we were getting mad then finally at 9 pm when they were supose to close he said I will make the lenses stronger but I had to keep the readers which were only about two weeks old if that he was rude making us get out of the store well when I got the new lenses i could see right cause they were stronger so I called and told them I could see better did not need the readers the mananger said I told you I made the lenses stronger for free so he would not take the readers back so I wasted 150.00 on the readers which I dont really need they make you spend more money my husband is diasabled and i only work part time due to health reasons and we are broke and they take someone who is poor money they just dont care they are all out for how much they can bleed money out of people so mad they are full of greed

  28. Hi

I ordered 2 pairs of prescription glasses on Jan 5 2016 from Sherway Gardens Lenscrafters store as my glasses had broken. I paid in cash the full amount of more than a $1000.

I was told the orders will take 7-10 days. I was also told I would receive a text message when they are ready. But, no one called me to say it has been delayed until I called more than 2 weeks later and I was put on hold for 10 minutes. Then, I was told only one pair (for reading and computer work) was ready but the other pair for everyday use is delayed. No one had informed me until I called.

I went to collect my glasses (it was 23 days since the order by then), but was kept waiting at the store for nearly 20 minutes with a friend, while sales person after salesperson said they were looking for it. Finally, the manager came and spoke to me, that the records show its in the store but they cannot find it! Then she finally found it, exclaiming that the glasses were at the back and that this happens sometimes and not all the salespeople know where to look! I was baffled by how poorly the store's inventory was organized!

Again, I was told by the manager that there were delays with my other pair (my everyday pair)with apologies about no one contacting me and assurances that I will get a call when its ready.

More than a week later (nearly a month since I ordered them), I still did not get any messages or calls. I called the store and expressed my annoyance at the further delays.

It has been more than a month (33 days) since I placed my order and paid in full, but I have yet to get my glasses for everyday wear.

This delay has caused me so much stress. Last week I was posted to a new place for my practicum and because I could not see clearly, I accidentally took the cell phone of my mentor, whom I had just met for the first time. Luckily, I realized it before I got home, and returned it to her but she had been frantic for more than half an hour. The whole incident caused me much embarrassment, and I certainly started off on the wrong foot with my mentor who will be reporting on my work. And I have Lenscrafters to thank for this!

I cannot understand how the delays to get a regular pair of glasses can last for more than a month especially when I was told it will only take 10 days. I am fed up with the waiting and the lack of good service.

I would like to cancel my order and Lenscrafter to return my money. Or to give me the glasses free of charge, as its the least that you can do for all the stress caused to me, the delays and the bad service.

  30. Just received an automated call on my cell phone reminding me of my eye exam appt on March 31st at 3:20 pm. REALLY LENS CRAFTERS? You stoop to trying to trick me into showing up? The reminder didn't say it was Lens Crafters. It wasn't until I had to "speak to an operater to change the date" to find out who made up this fake appointment without my knowledge or consent! I told the " operater" to take me off your automated appointments. When I asked her name she hung up on me.
As I recall, I got a quote for lenses at $1,000 for the pair (this was WITH coupons). Got the same, if not better lenses, at Costco for $180.
My daughter's lenses are so bad that she can't use them. Previous lenses I've bought from you became so scratched they were unusable after 6 months.
How can you stay in business with such terrible quality and outrageous prices?

    ReplyDelete
  31. The coating used on the lenses has worn off in areas affecting my ability to see. Contacted the store and was told I would have to buy new ones. Then contacted the west hartford branch which is where I purchased them and the manager actually said he had no knowledge of there own policy when it comes to this. They all acknowledged that they have had problems with the polymer in the past, but never notified customers or have a solution. They have lost my business as well as my family and friends. A friend calls them lens crappers. I guess he is rigjt.

There were several new customer's that can into the store and were quickly waited on. I would hope than my race was not the problem here??? I will never buy glasses at this store and I will tell all I know about this selection of customers.

I just came back from your Mississauga, ON, Canada (Erin Mills Towncenter) location with a refund. I have never been so disgusted with customer service and quality of work in my life. I've worn glasses since I was 4 years old and Lenscrafters is by far the worst place to go to for glasses. Not only did I show up today to pick up my glasses but after 20+ mins, your optometrist could not properly adjust my frames to sit on my face, it was excuse after excuse.. I ended up managing to get them to sit "ok" but still not comfortable enough.. The optometrist kept on apologizing and asking me if I had a few mins so she could do things and I repediately told her no.. but she kept repeating it.. not listening in the slightest. She then proceeded to try to complete the sale of a pair of sunglasses for me to which I replied, are you kidding me????? you can't get my regular glasses right, and you think that I'm going to give you $400+ out of MY OWN POCKET to likely be disappointed with your quality of service yet again? Unreal... Just unreal.. Years ago, you guys screwed up my grandmother's glasses, my first pair that I got with you guys, the centers were misaligned.. and now this... absolutely horrible service.. Shame on your company for hiring such incompetent staff... I'll be sure to share this experience on every means of social media as well to ensure that everyone I know steers clear of your horrible craptastic excuse of a company...

  35. My family and I (including my children, grandchildren and friends whom I highly recommended)have been your customers for numerous years. My husband bought me a $200.00 gift certificate as a present and I misplaced it. We have made numerous calls and even told them we have the transaction on our bank statement. We were told there is nothing they could do for us because they don't keep records of gift certificate purchased. I never heard of any store that doesn't keep track of any purchases, including gift certificates. I am very disgusted with the many phone calls we have made to no avail. A company of your magnitude should be able to honor any purchase made and not give the customer a run around. If this issue does not get resolved, you have just lost a long list of customers, including the ones we referred to you. What a lousy policy, if it is true at all!!

  36. I have gone to lenscrafters for many years and to the same place in Moline Illinois. 3 weeks ago I received a phone call from them that it had been 18 months since my last visit and could they set me up an appointment. So I agreed to it. They told me November 14 at 11:00 am. On November 13 they called my voice mail to remind me. Today I went to my appointment and they did not have me down and was full for the day. I live a 40 minute drive away. I was very upset. I played my voice mail to them and they said it must be a third party doing it and to call the # that had called me. So I did right there in the store with my speaker phone on so all their customers could hear. The lady answered lenscrafters and I said where are you located at. She said south carolina. I said do you know where I live , IllINOIS!!! why would you set me up with an appointment there? She tried to say it was some customer center that must have done it. And I said well some one better contact their home office on whats going on , because you just lost a customer that had been coming to you for quite awhile.Every one in the store heard the conversation and I will tell everyone I know. I will not recommend them ever again!! I went across the street and got right into another eye center and they gave me the same exams , and very polite and helpful. I gave them my $500 for my exam and glasses.
