Having major issues, when trying to get in touch with anyone associated with the energy rebates program, from BGE, do not want anyone who is not a BGE employee, or any other company working under or for bge, want to speak with one of the BGE people who is in charge of this entire rebates operation, am beginning to think it is time for channel 13 to get involved. BGE is an awful corrupt company.
Several and my family and I have been going back with BGE from 6/2002 to present since purchase of our single family home regarding being billed incorrectly. First issue, before I purchased our single family home on 6/2002 it used to be a two-apartment duplex with a total of 12+ people living in the home. BGE kept four meters on the back of our house, billed and estimated our usage as a two family apartment duplex home instead of a single family home for 11 years before they actually removed the two additional meters. During this time, numerous complaints were put into both BGE and The State of Maryland Public Service Commissioner’s Office, Baltimore, MD. There has been no resolve and absolutely no credit(s) made to our account up to date January 29, 2016 by BGE.
They're the absolute worst. All I asked for is a service agreement, can't even get a copy of that. They told me to call the Maryland Public Service Commissions office and they responded with the deer in the headlights approach. They told me I'd definitely have to call BG&E for that. So ridiculous.

My service has been off for over 2mos, I have been staying with relatives and had to place my father in the hospital because he uses medical equipment. I was told my bill was one amount and I was seeking assistance for that unknowingly that I had pending credits that hadn't applied. BGE disconnected my service before allowing the credits to apply on to now owe me $712.94 of which I paid thinking my services would be restored. Didn't happen in fact they have been giving me the run around for days talking about some sort of investigation that no one can give any information on because its not their area. So now I guess BGE wants me to have to move out and lose my home as I can't afford to pay rent in a home where I can't even stay in due to no electricity, because I can't get anyone from this top secret investigation department to call me and speak to me so this matter can get resolved. Talk about looking out for the customer sounds like BGE is the Ultimate Scam artist to me.
BGE added a $200 fee to my bill. I called and asked what this fee was only to be told that it was a fine for my not paying my bill in full! I pay every month and have never had my service turned off for non payment so why on earth am I being fined for making payments?? BgE are thieves. I filed a complaint but from reading the rest of these comments I'm not feeling confident about receiving any help.I'm stunned and angry that a business woukd do such an unethical and unfair thing.
Has anyone been able to resolve their issues and how...We must share info..There is power in numbers
For the first three month of our new service, BGE was sending our bill to a completely random address (nothing prior...home, job, friends house). We called monthly asking about our bill and we were told that it had been sent. Finally, during a third call of inquiry, one of the rocket scientists over there figures out the bill has been being sent to the wrong house. They tell us not to worry...it will be fixed. We do not receive a bill until the next month....it was close to $1000 and it was a cut-off notice. All I want is for the cut-off status to be taken off of the account and to be given a reasonable amount of time to pay my bill but on terms that are reasonable to my family budget.
