  1. I wanted to complimant the professional manner in which Brian - regional manager and Carl, the store manager in Manchester handled a problem. They are excellent.

    3. PC Richard is UNRELIABLE. They take your money and are never there to help you out. You buy a service contract but they first send someone 2 weeks after you call for an appointment and all they do is diagnose the problem. Then they say they have to order the part. 2 more weeks go by and you never hear from them. You call and are told they have to look into it. The next day you get a recording saying your part is in and to call for another appointment. Again, you have to wait 2 weeks, being told you'll get a call letting you know w hat time the repair person will show up. But hey, did you really expect a call? Nope! And you get this guy "Mike Ward" at 631-777-4239 who claims to be someone "higher then a supervisor" and he'll do all he can to resolve the problems. Call him anytime. But he never calls back. DON'T EVER TRUST PC RICHARD!!!!!

    4. These people are crooks! They give you the run around, deliver wrong products, broken items, etc. They are nasty on the phone and don't give a crap about their customers. Like you, I had to replace all of my appliances during "Superstorm Sandy" and spend a fortune there. Their idea of a time frame for a service call is 8am-6pm. Ridiculous!!

  4. PC Richards has lost a previously loyal customer due to failure to deliver as promised. Ordered a kitchenaid d/w 2/1/13 in the store and was promised ("absolutely there in 1 week, but not in store stock so will order"), checked the following week to confirm delivery time, told by manager, RP, E 86th St, that earliest possible date would be in 2 weeks, but he would get back to me.
Following day I had to call to catch him. ("Sorry, earliest date would be total of 16 days.") We cannot wait this long,
so called AJ Madison. Same model, color, etc. with extended warranty, installation, removal, can be delivered in 4 days
AND was $300 less!!! I have cancelled the PCR order. Previously you were a reputable company. No longer, it seems.

  5. PC Richards is NOT reliable! I ordered 7 applicances, needed to rebuild my home. 3 weeks after ordering, only 6 came in. Got excuse that frige was coming in from CA. Would take another week. Called customer service and explained to Tony. He said District Manager "Fred" would call. Then got message Fred took day off (first in 3 weeks) and he would call me next day. Well, of course, no call! Called about delivery for other 6 items, phone message said delivery would be between 1:45 & 4:45. Got call next morning truck would arrive at 10:00 with 1 item. Insane! Why were other 5 items on another truck? Why would you split up the delivery of items at different times? I spent over $6,000 and I will never spend another penny with them. They should be out of business. Their reputation sucks!! Stay away from this company, they will treat you like garbage!!

  6. What a terrible job from store in Manalapan NJ !!!!
Price sticker on tv stated sale reduced from four hundred and change to two ninety nine and change. The reduced price was claerly stated for 39 inch tv. When manager named Mike called he said that a 32 inch tv was going to be delivered instead. Manager was nasty and very disagreeable. Obviously store has some internal problems in which employees put wrong prices on items. This is not the customers fault or problem. Manager finally agreed to send 39 inch tv for agreed upon price. Instead of apologizing for internal problem and thanking customer for their patronage, manager still had a poor attitude. We planned on buying a refrigerator and grill from PC Richards in near future. NOT NOW!!!!!!
Also, original delivery date needed to be cancelled by manager and revised date was inconvenient!!!!
    What a major disappointment.
Will be calling corperate headquarters to complain.
    Bad way to conduct business!!!

  7. Just had the most humiliating experience ever at the PC Richard store on 86th street on the upper east side in Manhattan. I have been shopping at that location for over 7 years. Today I walked into the store to purchase myself a tablet for mother's day and instead walked out in tears. I arrived at the store at approx 6:35 PM and there were probably less that five customers in the store. I walked over to the tablets section and waited patiently for assistance for 20 minutes... The staff piddled around and paid absolutely no attention to me I walked over to the security asked him for a flier to kill time walked back to the tablets looked compared and waited still no help. At this point there's only me and one other person in the store... As i'm standing still waiting a Caucasian woman walked into the store... Before she even made it to where I was standing (which was close to the entrance) a Sales rep made a beeline from the opposite end of the store bypassed me and walked towards her to ask if she needed help. It wasn't until I turned around and gave him that appalled look that he eventually asked if I needed help. I replied yes I've been standing here for 20 minutes. Rather than asking the woman to wait a second he told me to wait while he attended to her. I couldn't believe it. I tried to complain to the manager and all he said was he is sorry he doesn't know what to tell me... Four hours later i'm still in shock... I feel so demeaned. I am a professional woman was properly dressed and knew exactly what I wanted just needed some answers on the technology specs and instead of walking out of that store that I have been patronizing for so long with a happy new gadget I walked out feeling like a second class citizen. Shame on you PC Richards. I am closing my credit card that I have with your store and NEVER shopping there again!

  9. I've been trying to get my washing machine serviced for over a month now. Have had to deal with incorrect diagnoses, rescheduled appointments, waiting weeks for parts(website says 75% of repairs are made because parts are in stock and on trucks. HA!), this family of 6 has been completely inconvenienced by PC Richards service dept. I am so upset by their nonchalant attitude - never again will we purchase from them! SO disappointing for a company that prides themselves on a rich history and outstanding customer service!

  12. Great in sequence! There is something wonderful about "PC Richards Corporate Office Headquarters". I am fearful by the excellence of information on this website.
I think, Because of the numerous differences between hardware, software and operating systems, the process of identifying a computer issue can be challenging.
I am sure I will visit this place another time soon, to know about hardware troubleshooting.

  14. The Greenvale store is absolutely the worst ever... ever!! So unprofessional... both the salesman and the manager have terrible attitudes. I spent over 10K at PC's on everything for my new home... tv's, computer, and all kitchen appliances. I had an issue with my refrigerator (too long of a story to get into), but the bottom line is that they treat their customers like dirt. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

  15. It's unbelievable how many of the salespeople are so sleazy, and I'm not just referring to one experience in one store. I've shopped there a few times and only made purchases when I knew beforehand EXACTLY what I wanted to buy. Otherwise, they will tell you what THEY want you to buy.."oh no, you don't want that one, this one is what you should get." and so on and so forth. Great place to go and ask all sorts of questions and get what info you need to make an informed choice, THEN go elsewhere to make your purchase.

  17. I have to admit i have been a loyal customer of P.C. Richard for over 12 years bought every appliance in my house there so when my 2500.00 dollar Samsung refrigerator had a wiring issue and neither Samsung or P.C. we're not only unwilling to help and wanted me to pay for the defective refrigerators repair i was astonished they obviously think all consumers are idiots. the wiring harness has been diagnosed as the problem and i called the local store where i made the purchase a Rich (store manager) whom was very helpful said he would have someone from Samsung call back, i got a call from a complete idiot from PC Richard corporate office called in and actually said to me what do you want pc richard to do about it its my problem

hence my relationship with PC Richards has come to a complete halt and will now pay the extra 50or 100 dollars and deal with a real company like Sears

PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO SAVE A LITTLE MONEY IT WILL COST YOU SO MUCH MORE IN THE LONG RUN AND I"M ASTONISHED THE MAN THAT CALLED HAS EMPLOYMENT!!!!!!!

  18. My washer has been broken since November 30, 2014. The pump went and PC Richard sent out service who then broke the strut and left the tub sitting sideways. I immediately called PC Richard and the service company whom they sent. I have made phone calls, went to the store in Mt Laurel and get nothing. The service technician is outright LYING saying the washer was on cinder blocks. Anyone who has 1/2 a brain will tell you that you cannot reach into a top loading washer that is up on cinder blocks!!! I have sent pictures, and everything they have asked. I bought a 5 year extended warranty from PC Richard, have had the machine just about 2 years out of which it hasn't worked almost 6 months. Save your money, don't shop at PC Richard, and if you did good luck getting any service from them, their promises are nothing but lies!!

  19. I went into PC Richads to purchase a carpet steam cleaner, a Printer and a Laptop for my home...Upon entering the store i could see the sales staff all grouped together talking amongst themselves in the back of the store, i started looking at the various carpet cleaners and not one person came over to assist me....[which ticked me off] At that point i decieded to purchase the rest of my items at Best Buy, I walked over to the casier [who was sitting down looking at her coworkers vacation photos], she looked up at me and proceeded to continute looking at the photos'.....This cashier then looks up [at least 3min's later] and said '' What do you need''???. I told her i'd like to purchase this steam cleaner [which i was holding] and if she's not too busy looking at photos could she help me....
This cashier yells '' ITS CALLED MULTI-TASKING SIR'' and gets out of her seat to ring me up.. This is why i will NEVER shop at PC Richards anymore...

  20. I had a bad experience at ENFIELD, CT PC Richards. Had a "manager" tell me there was nothing wrong with my laptop power cord. I told him it works intermittently...he just looked at me and said 'well if we send it out it will cost you $90 and we need to send your laptop and cord away for 2 weeks". Over a powercord?? are things that bad at the store where, when one has a service contract you still charge fees?? Obviously, I left and took my business elsewhere...and it was FREE! yes, free!! I got a new cord, that works and is an exact match to the old cord. So, I wait a few weeks to calm down and I call corporate. Let them know what they have going on in their Enfield, CT store. They really didn't care. They tell me Aziz stepped down and transferred to a NY store. They ask what can we do for you? I say, I want nothing from PC RIchards - but can you re-educate Aziz and let him know that his service was not at all service. I bet we will see a post from someone from NY complaining about Aziz soon...

  22. We purchased a refrigerator in Sept 2014... delivered same month. 2 months later, the night before Thanksgiving, the refrigerator stopped working... no cooling, no lights, no water dispensing, nothing. we called service and because of the holiday they were not able to get to us until the following week. The motor stopped working and was replaced. Unit's computer suggested an upgrade, which the service repairman did. Upgraded failed and unit broke again - this time the motherboard. Waited THREE weeks for a part to be located and a service app't set up. I requested an exchange and that a new refrigerator be given to us. Neither PC Richard nor GE would consent... each blaming the other for responsibility and neither wanting to help. Instead, I was insulted with an offer of a $100 gift card which I declined. I lost a complete Thanksgiving meal from appetizers to dessert and everything in between for 21 people, purchased 3 weeks worth of continuous ice bags to provide milk and basic essentials for my family and that was worth $100??? INSULTING! This week, 2 months after that nightmare, the refrigerator broke AGAIN! Even with the history associated with this lemon, I was not given an appointment until next week. Luckily I had the repairman's # from last time and he was able to squeeze us in today. Thank God for someone who actually believes in customer service! This time it was the fan that caused the issue. Again, cold cuts, produce, milk, meats, ice cream, etc ALL perished! I have already filed a complaint with better business and I will file a lawsuit in civil court if my refrigerator is not replaced with a NEW one! I will also be notifying the credit card company about holding payments. I would like someone to call me with a date of when this LEMON will be picked up and replaced with a new one.

  24. I bought a new refrigerator from PC Richards on a Sunday. They delivered it the following Thursday. Dented on the top and back. I called to tell them, they said it was not big deal it won't interfere with it working, but we will exchange it if you insist. I get up on Friday and there is water all over the inside, so obviously it is not working properly. I call again and told that someone will get back to me by Friday evening/Saturday morning with a time frame for the new item to be delivered on Sunday. No call...so I call on Saturday night. They come Sunday at 6pm with another damaged Refrigerator, so I refuse this delivery and call the store. Meanwhile, the driver proceeds to rip-out the cable wires from my house, and when I tell him to stop trying to put them back together because he doesn't know what he is doing, he then curses me out. So here we are delivery number two, second damaged item, rude delivery people and a manager on the phone with me telling me that he will call me back tomorrow (Monday) morning to schedule the third delivery when it is convenient for me. NO CALL ON MONDAY!!! Big Surprise. So I have to call and set this up again myself. Finally on Wednesday they delivery the third and thankfully working undamaged item. They tell me they are going to credit my account for my troubles. One week later I call to see why the money has not gone back into my account and the manager tells me they were waiting for me to let them know if it was ok to process it. REALLY. So I believe they had not intentions of doing this unless I got on them to do it. Every single person I spoke to (and there was 4 of them) were unhelpful, non-responsive and to put it as nice as I can, Liars, not once did they do anything that they said they would without me calling them to find out what was going on. I will never shop here again and will be more than happy to let everyone I know not to go there as well.

  25. I am appalled and horrified at the treatment that I received recently. I purchased a refrigerator by calling the Farmingdale warehouse and spoke to a very competent salesmen who was a great help. The fridge was delivered the next day. Great!!! NOT!!!!!! I told the salesman that it was being delivered to an apartment building in Brooklyn and the apartment was on the 3rd floor. He assured me that wasn't a problem. The next day when the delivery men came to deliver they claimed that they could not deliver the fridge because the opening in the hallway was too small, they said we had to order a smaller refrigerator. I ordered an 18 cubic foot to replace an 18 cubic foot. In turn I had to order an 11 cubic foot because it had the measurements the delivery men said would fit through the door. The next day the smaller one gets delivered with no problem getting it up the steps. They bring it in the apartment of my elderly mother. They tell my mother they can't remove the old fridge because SHE didn't remove the doors from it, no one told me this had to be done. Then they said that they needed a 3rd person to get the fridge down the steps and they would be back 8:00 am the next day. I get a call from my mother who was all upset telling me the situation. I call the warehouse to confirm this and they tell me that no one is going back to remove the fridge, the delivery men said it was too big to fit in the hallway. So now, the drivers had LIED to my mother. They didn't even take out a tape measure to measure the fridge or the opening of the apartment door or the hallway. They placed the old fridge in front of her opened door and they left. Now she can't shut her door because there is a refrigerator in the way. What kind of people are these. The warehouse tells me to get someone to cut the fridge and then will come back and bring it down. REALLY!!!!! Needless to say, I got someone with a brain to come up and they carried the old fridge out without any problems whatsoever. I am so very upset with PC Richards, I was livid. They house was not built around the original fridge,

  26. I had the worst experience of my life at the store in Manchester CT!!! The salesperson Herb and his manager Carl were so disrespectful to me and ruined the whole experience of getting a newly built home furnished with appliances from them!! Nothing can take away the stress they put me through. I needed delivery of certain appliances on certain days as my house was being built. The person called to arrange delivery and told me I could pick a morning or afternoon time slot. Well, I only had access to my imcomplete house after noon so I told them afternoon. Well, I got a call at 8am the day of delivery saying my delivery was on its way! I told them it was not possible as the house was locked up! This occurred with each and every delivery. One day I spent the entire day in an empty house waiting for them and they cancelled. I asked Herb about the time slots and he said it was not possible to do. Carl said it was. Herb was adamant they don't do it!! Any issues I had, Herb claimed to talk to his manager, Carl but in reality it was just lies. When I got my 60 inch Samsung TV it came with a huge dent in it!!!!! They didn't believe me and sent Herb out to confirm it. Herb offered me $200 off to keep me. No way!! Getting it replaced took more than 3 weeks and only when I parked myself at the store did Carl finally agree to swap it out. Herb was very unprofessional and wrote his phone number on his business card. The delivery issues and unprofessionalism I faced was a nightmare. I will be reporting them to BBB! It is clear they run a shady business and only want the initial sale. Then it's a "screw you" attitude!

  34. I made a purchase for a 40 haier Tv in the store on Union Nj on 2/20/2015. on Sept 11 2015 the Tv just died. The set gets little usage and still has plastic on it . I caled PC richards store and spoke to Johnathan who was the most helpful person I encountered during this process . He schedule me for 9/1515 to have a tech come out . when I recieved the email the address was incorrect so i call him and he corrected it but the tech still went to the incorrect address. I immediately called and the tech came right back to the correct address . The tech stated " i dont think this going to work but I am going to order an power cord." When I did not hear anything I called in on Thursday 9/17 and was told call back the part is on order . So I called back on Friday 9/18 and was told they were sending an email to supervisor in charge . When I did not heard anthing I called back on Sat 9/19 and was advised this supervisor woud call back by the end of the day but as usual i did not recieve a call . I called back a 4th time on Monday 9/21/15 and inquired where the part was and why i has not been contacted as promised . Finally at about noon I recieved a call from Alan he stated and i quote" I spoke to Bob he said your part will arrive on tuesday / 9/22 and we can come install it on wednesday 9/23. I paid someone to wait @ 4 pm I called back to the center to find out if the tech was coming and I was advised the part had not arrive. The rep I spoke to read me the notes that stated everything Alan said to me. At this point I am livid . and no one can get a hold of Alan to get this resolved . I called in and spoke to Diamond she was very helpful she stated if no one calls me back by 10 am to give her a call.

In the meantime I called over to the store to speak back to Johnathan t see if there was anything he could since i had been w/o my tv for 12 days and i spoke to Dan( he stated he was the store manager in union nj on rt 22 ) . He was the rudest most unprofessional manager I had ever encountered . He was unwilling to find a solution extremely sarcastic and continued to speak over me. When I realized he was not willing to resovle this in a courteous professional manner I asked for the name and number of the District manager no surprise he refuse to provide me with the info requested .So ended the call with with Dan .

I had to call back in today 9/24/15 and I started calling @901 am I gave my acct info and asked for excutive relations . I clearly told the rep I did not want to speak to Alan he has already proven to That he is not able to resolve the issue or even properly communicate with me . The rep transfered me to him anyway . When he came on the line he immediately stated he would never give a date for the arrival of the a part but he did and he put the notes on the acct to prove it. I asked him to connect me to excutive relations he transfered me back into the que and i was speaking to Customer Service Rep angain . I asked for her sup and Rob answered the call . He listened and apologized for the entire experience adn worked to resolve it quickly and effiecently. There need to be some retraining done . This was one the most awful frustrating experiences I have ever had

  35. I recently ordered a slide in range and microwave from PC Richards in Watchung. Fred, the sales associate I dealt with couldn't be more helpful. I did an extensive amount of research on various ranges and also visited the store in person to view their collection. However, I was looking for a white range with stainless accents - could not use stainless steel appliances - not looking for that commercial cold look in my kitchen. Well, I found a kitchenaid slide in range that is absolutely gorgeous and sleek design. Brand new model just coming out this summer. Fred spent almost an hour with me on the phone looking up the information on this model and also a Maytag micro to match the kitchenaid range. I ordered the appliances over the phone and did not have to make another personal appearance to the store. I had purchased a Samsung washer and dryer from this same store and the service and delivery were on time and very professional. My son has purchased a 65" TV and also found the service courteous and helpful. I love love love my new kitchenaid and so does everyone who sees this range. It is absolutely beautiful and thank you Fred and PC Richards for getting me this new model. It shows that stainless is not the only way to go when updating your kitchen. Fred took the time to do the research with me and I thank him for his patience and commitment to good service.

    Dear Sir or Madam,
Approximately in May of last year, 2014 I bought a Samsung LED television set for my elderly father. About a month ago the televisions picture stopped working (only sound). Conveniently, a few months after its one (1) warranty have expired. October 16th, 2015 I returned to the store of purchase located at 2259 Ralph Avenue, Brooklyn NY and I tried to explain to the sales representative what happened. The gentleman simply dismissed me very rudely and did not even seem concerned about what I was trying to explain to him. I guess it was because I was not in the market to purchase a new television set.
I have been account holder for quite a few years and recently paid over $5,000.00 to clear my balance. I am not looking for a “freebie” or any special privileges and I do realize that I no longer have a warranty, but I do expect to be treated fairly and with respect.
In the past I have purchased many Items from your company and for the most part was satisfied. I have bought televisions, computers and a variety of electronics most of which I still own to this day. However, with this product I respectfully ask that it be replaced with another model of equal or lessor value.
If I am not made whole I will proceed to close my account. I am ALWAYS treated fairly at Best Buy and in the future I will only do business with them.
I expect to hear back from you within one (1) month from the date of this letter with a full resolution to this issue, or I will proceed to the next level in your company’s chain of command.

    Sincerely,

  38. I love shipping at P.C Richard & Sons. However, I will be boycotting any company that continues to support the NY Daily News by advertising in their paper. They should be ashamed of themselves for the last two front pages after the horrible terrorist attacks in California. We as a nation need to put politica rhetoric aside and work together to eliminate criminals and terrorist from committing these awful crimes. Perhaps lifetime incarceration for committing a crime with a weapon.

  39. What a horrible experience!!! The Manchester, CT store was a great disappointment! After getting home and being excited about the new surround sound I purchased, I receive a telephone call stating they gave me the wrong surround sound. Instead of allowing me to keep the item and taking the loss, they want me to pay the difference. Hell No!!! They can keep their items and NEVER have to worry about this customer again.

    Very Dissatisfied...

    1. Complaint: I had the worst experience with delivery!! First off the damage that was caused by two incompetent delivery men far outweighs the price of the refrigerator. The delivery men could not lift the refrigerator up, so they proceeded to drag and bounce the dolly up my new paver steps and walkway. This was after I told them that they would have to pick it up. When they reached my front door which are double doors they proceeded to scratch the door, and had the nerve to proceed up the interior stairs after my husband told them to stop. The one delivery man had the audacity to get an attitude with my husband, and said “I not scratch nothing” (he did not speak English well), and advanced up the stairs scratching the wall with no precaution. As they entered my kitchen the two dropped the refrigerator in the spot and said sign. My husband and I were incensed and in disbelief, and said no you have to level out the refrigerator and the doors. The one man knelt down, and said “can’t be done”. I then told them take it back I do not want it, as it was vibrating and making a loud sound because it was damage and not leveled. I immediately called the store and asked for the Manager James Langford who was not around at the time, so I told the two men to take the appliance out of my house. The one young man who had the attitude before, malevolently pulled the refrigerator from the corner, and gouged scratches into my wood floor all the way to my interior steps. They then had the tenacity to wheel and bounce the dolly down my steps and pavers again, which caused my pavers to pop up and others to bend forward. To say that I am a dissatisfied customer would be an understatement. Just to reiterate the following damages are as follows: Paver steps torn away from main base, door scratched, interior wall scratched, and kitchen wood floors scratched. The General Manager James did see that I was very upset when I arrived at the store, and was sympathetic as he took my statement down. I believe he reported it to the claims department, claims number. Again, he worked fast, but this does not fix the damage done to my property not to mention the food that was spoiled because it had to be placed outside. Again, I cannot say it enough I am beyond dissatisfied. I did have another refrigerator delivered from PC Richards the following day and the high end delivery men carried the same refrigerator up my pavers. So, I feel those other two men were just incompetent.

I did receive a call in January from a woman named Jenny from claims. Jenny sent out an adjuster however, “it was determined that the drivers did not do the damage to my floor, door wall or pavers” LIE…. I had to fight tooth and nail to get Jenny to agree to fix my paver steps. Fast forward to April 25th, Jenny called me and said that they determined that only 3 loose pavers would be fixed and this was after we had agreed that all 8 paver steps would be fixed. Again, aggravation and again I was called a liar, which I find to be an insult because I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I had to argue with her while at my job and be aggravated to the point that my voice was raised. Again, after all of the back and forth it was agreed AGAIN, that all 8 paver steps would be fixed. The contractor is scheduled for May 2nd. Now I am advising Corporate if my pavers are not fixed I will take action and proceed to small claims court. I have been called a liar and I have let it go. I let PC Richards off the hook with my door and floor, however my pavers I will not let go.

I would appreciate a call from Corporate to rectify this situation.

  41. PC Richard is a horrible company I only buy from them or have bought from them in the past because convenience to my home or my job. But I'm tired of the bad service and the lies that they've given me. Let's just take one item that I bought from them, a dishwasher. The first dishwasher I bought from them they sent the guy who delivered it to install it I don't think he's ever installed the dishwasher before because after he installed it he left the house in the dishwasher never worked from day one. So I called the company and told them not to send the same installer but of course they did this PC Richards has no idea what they're doing and they're so unorganized. Once again the same installer try to install the dishwasher and once again it didn't work right so I was tired of this slipshod work and called a plumber in to install it. The plumber charge me $150 to install it and said who was the moron who hook this up and I said to him why do you say that and he said because he just pushed the dishwasher into the space and crimped the hose. Now I need a new dishwasher years later so for convenience I went to PC Richards again. I paid $500 for the dishwasher and they said they would take off $100 which they never did Ben didn't write down the installation charge on the receipt so when the guys came to deliver today they did not install the dishwasher so now I have a dishwasher sitting in my kitchen taking up space and no one to install it. I called the company and they said they can't get anybody out there today on top of that the salesman who sold it to me gave me a massive attitude. I will never shop at this garbage corporate mess ever again if you're reading this prior to buying anything from PC Richard do not.!!! There's better places to go likes Sears for example. I would call corporate up but they don't give a sh-t about the customer all they care about is making money no service ....such a shame

  42. KUDOS to the entire Southhampton, NY store for making my entire shopping experience a good one, even when things went wrong. From my salesman Stephen (the best in the business) to pinch hitters Nancy, Jeff and the store manager Phil, they all managed to stay on the ball during a particularly stressful new house construction. I have never seen a team so committed to providing the ULTIMATE customer service in any industry ever! When a delivery was screwed up, and Phil the store manager told me he would do whatever he had to do to take care of it, I knew he meant it and he did. This team should teach the company's class in customer service.

  44. I was a loyal customer until today. Just closed my acct with Synchrony Financial.
Ordered a fridge at $535.00. Received the call today saying they are ready to deliver. I asked for Sun or Mon anytime. I was told they do not come to my area on those days. I then explained that I work Tues to Sat and you can come any day after 4:30. I was told "NO". Delivery is 7am to 7pm but your del time will be told to you the night before. I say "NO THANK YOU, CANCEL MY ORDER". Guess you don't need the money. Adios Amigos !!

  45. Good morning,

I need this problem addressed as soon as possible. I have purchased thousands of dollars of appliances in your stores over the past 30 years. It’s the only store we shop in for home appliances, so there have been many replacements, new items, etc. over our 30 year marriage. As you can see from the receipt, we purchased 3 things in one visit when we purchased the refrigerator. I hope rather than lose a very loyal customer, someone can address this concern. At the very least, I should not have to pay for the next model cost of $266. It has cost me over $700 and days of aggravation for this faulty refrigerator!

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator which was not working within days of purchase. Delivery was Saturday and repair/service had to come the following Thursday. My refrigerator was 69 degrees! After another few days, the refrigerator was again at a very low temperature and this time making very loud noises.
My husband and I went to the store in Rockville Centre, NY and saw the manager (Celius) – who has been professional however, I’m aware he can’t address all my concerns. We are scheduled for a replacement refrigerator tomorrow (Thursday 6/23).

The replacement is costing me another $266 because I picked the next model rather than chance having a problem with the same refrigerator. While I have no choice to pay this because we are living without a refrigerator, I’m extremely upset. Below my concerns are outlined.

    • The first refrigerator was discounted from the sticker price (about $50 discount). The manager did not discount the replacement at all!
    • I had to take off a day from work (unpaid!) which cost my family over $250 for service to be done within days of purchase.
    • My husband has to take a day off work tomorrow for the refrigerator re-deliver – over $200 again in our time.
    • I had to pay a plumber to hook up the ice maker the first time, disconnect last night and come again to hook it up again after re-delivery. The additional hook up is costing me $75.
    • We have lived without a refrigerator 4 days this week and our food is spoiled. I am spending well over $150 to replace the perishable food. We have a small fridge in our basement – thank goodness because my daughters’ very expensive medicine is required to be refrigerator!!

Attached is the receipt for original purchase. You can also see my peapod order I have to place as soon as the refrigerator arrives tomorrow.

I would like to know who, how and when I will be reimbursed for the expenses incurred and outlined below because of this faulty refrigerator. I’m aware some stores sell refurbished refrigerators – but I didn’t think that is what we were buying at PC Richard – we never incurred problems in 30 years. So this is the first – hopefully someone can assist loyal customers.

Michelle - unpaid day off for appliance repair (6/16) $ 278
    Joe - vacation day for re-delivery of refrigerator (6/23) $ 200
Plumber to re-connect ice maker on replacement fridge $ 75
Spoiled food that had to be replaced $ 150
    TOTAL $ 703

    Kindest Regards,

  46. I have been purchasing products from PC Richards for many, many years and the customer service is becoming worse. I had purchased a G.E. dishwasher along with a maintanence agreement. I pay in advance for this maintanance agreement and when I phone to schedule a service call, then the fun begins. May we never need a service call and all would be fine. It took 6 service people to come and TRY to repair the problem and still not repaired. I had to complain to the supervisor and then they gave me a new dishwasher. Ok two weeks ago, I needed to make a service call and when the guy came, he could not fix the repair. He told me he would ordered the parts I needed and after 1 week I did not hear from anyone. I phoned and found out that this service person did not order the parts and here I sit. I am going to speak to someone from the cooperate office but saw your website first and needed to add these comments. I will never never purchase anything from PC Richards due to their poor service standards.

  47. I would like to complain about the service I received today... Suppose to install a gas dryer, suppose to be and expert.. But the truth is the hoe's he was looking for; he knew it was in the dryer; was in the dryer he just didn't want to do the job.. The next person I got brought the same hoe's for the dryer and said that's all they needed... But this is the kicker in the process of this drama all of a sudden a kid runs into my house.. This same kid got out the same truck that was delivering my dryer.. I didn't know it was bring your kid to work day... Very bad experience...

  48. I am beyond dissatisfied with both PC Richards and Thermador. After purchasing over $20,000 of Thermador appliances (which for a family like mine is a whole lot of overtime), every single appliance had to be returned or repaired with in 1 month of installation. The last item to go was a $3200 wine fridge, all 20 bottles of wine exploded in the fridge and was absorbed into the wood leaving a foul order. Neither thermador or PC Richards will replace the 1 month old fridge. Its ok to them that my kitchen smells like an old bar. The solution offered was an attempt to fix it. I have had approximately 1 week of total working hours for all appliances in over 2 months that unacceptable. How is it the healthcare is pay for performance based, cars have lemon laws, but there is no repercussions for big businesses. Why should a working class family be out the money and time?
