  1. Please help the chowchilla,ca days inn! The staff is lovely and very competent but they have nothing to work with! There is alot of water damage on the building, towels are like prison issue and what is up with the air conditioning units-so noisy I never really slept. What the hell? Clean up your act corporate and you may get better reviews.

  3. We stayed at the Days inn located at Ellis Square, Savannah, Ga 8-1 -8-4-13...The room we were in had a new window ac unit installed recently according to all appearances. However, the condensation was coming into the room instead of outside. The carpet was sopping wet and felt damp all over the entire room. The room smelled musky. Reported this at least twice and no one ever came to check or offer us another room. We were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary and 3 of our adult children and their families were staying in the hotel as well. We were not even offered any compensation for our inconvenience. Needless to say we will be looking for another place to stay if and when we ever come back to Savannah. The entire hotel needs to be re-stored, It is looking old and dirty.

    1. I stayed at the Days Inn Ormond Beach, Fl from August 6 to August 11, 2016. I'm a 64 year old woman and I did NOT feel safe. When I arrived on the second floor (OUTSIDE)I noticed a half empty beer bottle sitting outside a room. There were approximately 8 men sitting down, loitering and drinking outside their hotel room on the landing EVERY evening of my stay! I went to the Front desk TWICE for them to LEAVE...as I would HAVE to walk over their LEGS to get to the STAIRCASE to go downstairs from my room. On TWO different occasions, TWO of them asked me if I wanted a beer! Their hotel room DOOR was ALWAYS OPEN also! The lady at the front desk would tell them to "GO inside your room" which they did.. but the NEXT evening it would be OUTSIDE their room again, drinking and being loud as late as 9:00 p.m.
      The FIRST night I was getting into bed and I noticed a "tiny roach" on my "clean" pillow! Day TWO of my stay the coffeemaker was Broke and then gave me a new one. The cable wasn't that good either...some channels wouldn't even come in clear or not at all.

On Aug. 16th my husband and I got a room at your Days Inn in Lost Hills California, we were very uncomfortable due to the not very clean room and the roaches that we had to put up with. when told to the front desk the next morning , we were shone a paper saying something about the agriculture, and that for a $20.00 fee they would spray the room . You can count on us, or any of our family or friends that we would have referred to a Days Inn that we would not advise anyone stay there and if it had not been for it being so late and us being so tired from driving all the way from Seattle Wa. We would have found another place, we also had to put up with cat poop outside of our door, where there were at least 4 cats on our side of the building. And also my husband and I had bed bug bites .. Something really needs to be done with that place and I would suggest you hire some one to go around and check on these places and do something about them. thank you for a unpleasant stay. linda brewer

  5. The Days Inn in Dover, Delaware is horrible. They rent rooms out knowing they have bed bugs, yesterday we actually seen a man cleaning the rooms and instead of vacuuming he was sweeping across the floor with a towel. The bathrooms get clogged up. Oh and let me not forget to mention the parking lot is full of ice. It doesnt even look like they had a company plow during, before or after their snow storm to take safety measures for their customers.

  6. I live in Colorado, my son broke his foot and i reserved a room in my name and on my charge card for 01/30/2014 with check out on 01/31/2014. The cost was $65.84. my son arrived approximately and signed a paper stating "if he smoked in the room there was a $500 fine" I was unaware he signed the paper and unaware he was smoking. The Days Inn in Bernalillo, NM charged my charge card $500. I spoke with the manager, Marsha, 1-480-452-6937, who indicated that the room needed to be cleaned out etc. I was upset with the charge and told her if she felt i was responsible in paying her staff to clean that room she could do what she felt was right. How can you charge a customer $500 additional cost. I am very disappointed and feel it is wrong. please advise how a large corporation is allowed to do that.

  7. I stayed at a Days Inn in Arkadelphia, Ak for 2 nights iam now covered in 100 bed bugs bites and all they did was refunded me iam sure other people who have stayed in room 212 have gotten bites as well

I was employee at days inn sarasota and after few days told via voice mail I was no longer needed and when I tried to call him, manager put me on hold never came back to phone, I was on hold 4 -5 minutes then the phone disconnected me. I tried to email him and never received reply and today left message on his cell phone and again voice mail. I think he is not going to pay me. He made me work through told me no lunch/breaks, I worked 11-7am and was initially told at time of interview it would be 7-3pm shift and 3-11pm shift then he told me training was 11-7am and no breaks or lunch was I given. I need to make sure since he violated the federal law he pays me for the 8 hrs well on both times told me to leave 6:30am or 6:41am another time. I am asking him for my paycheck to be direct deposited immediately or I can pick up paycheck monday april 28, 2014 but he refuses to acknowledge /return phone calls. How should I proceed????? thanks

  9. I checked into the Days Inn in Grove City, Oh. We dropped off our suitcases and rushed to a local funeral home for visitation for a friend who had passed away. We returned to the hotel and decided it was just too gross so we checked out. We were charged for the first nights stay because we used the bathroom and put our luggage in the room. The room smelled like cat urine, there were numerous hairs in the tub and sink, and it was very run down. There were a lot of truckers hanging out in the parking lot with their "lady friends". We smelled pot in the main building when we checked out. I have stayed at Days Inn hotels before and never had this experience.

  10. I made reservations back in February 2014 for the Days Inn in Lexington Park, MD for one night on June 27, 2014. I received an email confirmation. On June 26 I tried calling the local Days Inn phone in Lexington Park, but no one answered. I then called the 1-800 number to confirm they still had my reservations - and everything was still confirmed. Later on that evening, I heard from several others who arrived a day earlier, that the Days Inn in Lexington Park was chained up and had padlocks on the door. They never notified anyone that they closed - so at the last minute all that had reservations had to scramble and find another hotel in the area. Days Inn Corporate did not even know that this location had closed. I kept getting the run around saying that the Lexington Park hotel was still open. It was not. I will NEVER make reservations at a Days Inn again.

  11. Days Inn Maumee Ohio - This place is run by people who are arrogant and have no customer service skills. The GM and Owner "Al" laughed at me when I told him that I was charged for something I didn't do. Refusing to set things straight or even help me. His staff was just as unwilling. The maids, or at least the one I incountered was lazy and rolled her eyes at me more than one time when I asked if i could have a trash can for my room. They claim I trashed the room and left is "too dirty". I didn't know that it was the guest job to clean the rooms?! If so why am I paying you to stay there? The breakfast they put out each morning was basicly toast bagels and cereal and I picked up all the baked goods and they had mold on them. We were told they had a pool but upon arival was told that it didnt work and would not be repaired. I wouldn't recommend any one to stay at this Days Inn unless it was unavoidable. Spend the few extra buck and go next do where their pool actually works.

  12. We booked three rooms this weekend (July 25 and 26, 2015) in Mackinaw City. We never received a confirmation with the final price so was very shocked to get a $992.34 bill. This is not the quote that we received online.

    We did like that our rooms were altogether, however we were very disappointed as to the condition of the room (wallpaper peeling off walls, no clock, no refrigerator). The "lakeview" as advertised was a view of the parking lot. These rooms had a general worn out shabby feel. The breakfast had no juice or milk as the machine was broken. This definitely was not a good value for what we paid.

    We have always stayed at the Clarion and know we would have had a better value there.

    We travel a lot and based on this experience, we are not so sure that the Days Inn will be on our list of hotels to stay at again. We are Wyndham members and find this whole experience very disappointing.

  13. My daughter and I stayed in a Days Inn in Rice Lake Wisconsin on 8-22-14. After a soccer tournament in Duluth, my daughter woke up to find bugs crawling all over her pillow, bed and walls. I called the front desk and the clerk promptly came to our room, inspected the bugs and informed us that we needed to vacate the room immediately. It was 12:40am! We packed up our things and started moving to a different room. My daughter had her temperpedic pillow and down comforter. The clerk suggested we throw them both away and bagged it in a garbage bag. We could not sleep until 2:30 am because of the feeling of bugs crawling on us. When I complained to the front desk clerk on the morning, she said "we have had a problem with water bugs, and I cannot do anything for you. Sorry for the inconvenience". I explained that there were two types of bugs a larger brown one and smaller bugs. The night clerk confirmed that they were bed bugs. No discount or comp room! In addition, had to dispose of our pillow and comforter. Our belongings are still in quarantine in the garage. I have left three messages for the manager and he has not returned my calls. Very disgusted and disappointed !

  14. August 26th, 2014, my significant other and I stayed in a Days Inn in Pigeon Forge, TN right beside the Dixie Stampede. We thought we'd stay there since it was close. Wrong choice. They gave us one room only to find it looked like someone had already been in the room so they gave us another room which was in the back of the hotel close to the pool. The room number wasn't even on the door. The door had a big gap, so didn't even fit tight and a gap on the bottom where the weather stripping had worn off. I could tell the carpet hadn't been swept. Very outdated and needs to be updated through out. Will never stay at a Days Inn again

  15. We recently stayed at the Days Inn in Fredericksburg, VA. If we understand reading the card left on the beds it states the sheets and pillowcases are not changed if the previous guest was only there one night. This is according to their environmental plan. As we were tired from our long drive, we slept on top of the bedspreads. This policy should not be allowed.It is unsanitary and disgusting. We stop in Fredericksburg twice a year on our way south as do many of our friends from Canada. I will definately never stay there again and will let all our friends know.

    Stay away from Days Inn. Maybe we should start a class-action lawsuit because there are A LOT of people have this same problem.

  17. I reserved 2 rooms through booking.com in New Orleans Louisiana which I will never do again. When we got there only 1 was reserved and it was a non smoking and I smoke. They did offer me the other room though. My problem was when I went to the room after driving all the way from savannah Georgia, we were tired. Opened the room door and a big roach was crawling on the bed. It smelled horrid so I can see why there were roaches in there. Needless to say, I went to the front desk to cancel the room and get my money back and they refused to refund it back. Being that it had already been booked and paid for at a discounted rate. I was livid. I had to go find another available hotel at that short amount of time and had to pay double the price for one room. I will hope that corporate can do something about refunding my money or I will never stay at another days inn.

    1. I apologize, this room was booked through Expedia. I filed this complaint on April 27 and was told through email that corporate would contact me within 48 hours. Today is May 6 and I have yet to hear from anyone.

  18. On March 26, 2015 I was billed (American Express) $526.31 for rooms at Days Inn Mesa East (Mesa, AZ) that I had reserved by phone to the hotel earlier for a two-night stay for April 3 and 4. I called the hotel later and asked to have the reservation cancelled. I receive credit for $353.76 (trip number 13134357381) but not $172.55 (#196211555). I did not receive full credit for my cancelled reservation which I had been told had been cancelled. The reservation had been split into two parts when it should have been combined into one thus cancelled as one reservation. I am disputing the $172 "no show" charge when I was told that my reservation had been cancelled, not "partially" cancelled. I would appreciate your help in resolving this oversight.   19. On May 13, 2015 We were going to stay at the DAYS INN WEST MEMPHIS AR. we asked the girl at the front deck about 3 rooms there and asked if the pool was open. The front desk clerk quickly replied "Well you see people in it don't you? That means it is open" When I asked her if they offered triple A discounts she said " yea we do but I don't see why you can't pay full price" I asked her if I could speak to her supervisor and she told me that he supervisor didn't have time to deal with people like me and that I would have to try back the next morning. I wrote down her name and got the number for her supervisor. I have called numerous time to try and speak with them about their rude clerk and no response yet. Her name was Amy. Needless to say we didn't not stay there and I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

  20. 4/24--4/29 Stayed at Days Inn 2735 S Woodlands Village Blvd, Flagstaff, AZ. on day (2) went up front to have breakfast was their about 40min. Got back to the room getting ready to go out for the day,.I got my billfold out of the desk checked it and 3 $20.00 were missing my wife checked hers and saw 3 $20.00 were also missing...Told the front desk clerk we were missing money the manager was not in. She called the manager was off for two days and was not coming in...We call the Police,they came to our room told the Police what had happen . The police went to the front desk to check this out..They called us to the front desk with in 20min. ..Police said a cleaning girl had been in our room three (3) times when we were up front with breakfast . The police found 3 $20.00 on the cleaning girl which we had marked the girl went to JAIL.....We our out $120.00 and the Days Inn still made us pay to Total Bill

    my sisters and i stayed at the Days Inn in Port Richey, Fla on May 28th thru June 2nd 2015, This place was a problem from the first time we even tried to get into this horrible place. We went to the desk 4 times the first day/evening there to get help because neither of our keys would work. We had a room with a walk in shower (that we needed), WELL that was just the start of this horrible place. MANY MANY issues with keys, he said not to put them near r cell phones, so we didn't ! and still had problems getting into our room, after the second day of problems, and the wore out mattress, dirt wrinkled frayed carpet, we got home around 10 that night and still problems with our keys, PLUS at the pool area ( Oh which had loose, dirty, chipped tiles, covers on the run off drains were either missing, or had none, or were on on partially ! While we were at the pool we got talking to another couple that was also there and they asked us about our room, because they say the maintenance man there a cple of times, so we explain the key situation. and how old and wore out stuff was, THEY said well their first room was so dirty they insisted on being moved to a second room, and the first night they were in that room, the room next door was raided for drugs, prositution, they said their were about 7 cops etc there. that night when we came home from r trip to relatives 2 1/2 hrs south of Port Richey, again we couldn't get into our room. So we had enough and we went looking for a different hotel, in which we were prepared to pay the dble price just to get out of the Days Inn. BUT since i booked the room through Price Line, i had to also deal with them. Price Line had to talk to the front desk of Days Inn and confirm r complaints and give us the clearance that they wouldn't charge me for the remainder of the stay that i had booked, unless i paid a 47.00 cancellation fee. IT WAS NOT OUR FAULT THAT THIS HOTEL WAS LIKE THIS AND OUR KEYS NEVER DID WORK RIGHT EVEN ON OUR LAST DAY THERE ! so because price Line wouldn't give me a confirmation that my card wouldn't be charged for the remainder of nights, and the front desk said we would have to pay that cancellation fee, we couldn't afford to move to the Hampton for a gorgous place to stay. I have pics of the DAYS INN, and i'm writing letters to the Pasco Tourism, Chamber of Commerce, Discover Card, Better Business Bureau, and tell ing EVERYONE we can about this place, and so our my Aunts that live in New Port Richey, & Dunnenan ABOUT our experiences at DAYS INN in Port Richey. OH and the other hotels that we checked out all said that "OH YEA THAT PLACE IS NOTED FOR GETTING RAIDED FOR THOSE ACTIVITIES) I sure hope i hear something as to what Corporate has to say to me, when and IF they contact me ! We will never go through a third party to book anything nor stay at a DAYS INN . This one should be shut down in Port Richey, FLA

So they are not going to do anything about it unfortunately. We are just waisting our breath.

  23. On june 26 2015 i was staying at the Day's Inn in Englewood Colorado. Room 113. As i was using the bathroom i fell through the bathroom floor.I had to hold on to the bathtub to keep from falling all the way thru to the crawllspace which was about a 7ft drop to the ground. I manage to get out of the hole and alerted the front desk. The property manager was called in and of course compensated me for my lengh of stay.But did not offer to pay for my medical expenses (a trip to the Urgent Care for xrays and treatment.) or my lost wages or pain and suffering. I was here in the Area working as a claims adjuster all the recent hail storms. So now i can not work due to my injuries so i am having to go back to florida for further treatment of my injuries.

    A message to All: I will be checking from now on to make sure all flooring in bathroom are safe.

  24. photos taken of our wonderful gross room that does not match nothing like your website portrays. I ask you would you like to take a shower using this shower head, and brush your teeth at the sink with mold? I took a shower with my flip flops on and filled up the ice bucket with water and washed in your lovely shower.
    Look at the nice stained bed, not to mention there are two out dated benches at the ends of the beds that have mold! I have also included my bill.
    Now, what I am asking is for at least half of a refund. Since I had no other choice but to sleep there or be charged for cancellation.
    Please be advised that California there is in a drought, and it would behoove your company to check the shower faucet, it continually drips water. While checking in to your fine establishment, a genital man came in to complain as well, and had asked for another room for the smoke smell, after all he had requested a non-smoking room. When I opened our room door it was very stuffy, very much needed to be aired out.

  25. I AM STILL VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! I HAD RESERVATIONS FOR 7/9/2015- 7/12/2015 FOR A FAMILY VACTION. I CALLED THE MORNING OF 7/9 TO CONFIRM MY RESERVATONS AND TO LET THEM KNOW WE WOULD BE THERE SOMETIME AFTER MIDNOGHT. I WAS TOLD BY APRIL THEY HAD MY RESEVATION AND THAT IF I WA GOING TO BE PAST 4AM TO PLEASE CALL TO HOLD THE ROOM. WHEN I ARRIVED TO THE HOTEL DAYS INN ON NORTH DAVIS IN PENSACOLA, FLORIDA I WAS TOLD BY BRANDY BOMAR THEY DID NOT HAVE MY RESERVATION FOR ME. THAK THE GOOD LORD I PRINTED OUT MY CONFIRMATION AT THE OF MAKING MY RESERVATION ON LINE. SHE FOUND US A ROOM AND HONORED THE PRICE I WAS CONFIRMED FOR.WHEN WE GOT INTO THE ROOM THE A/C DID NOT WORK IT SMELLED AND THE HAD ROACHES ALL OVER THE ROOM!!!! WE WERE SWITCHED TO THREE OTHER ROOMS WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS ALONG WITH ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND T.V. AND/OR REMOTES NOT WORKING. BRANDY FINALLY GOT US INTO ANOTHER ROOM WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS FINALLY BETTER...... WRONG!!!!! WE WOKE UP TO THE TOILET NOT WORKING WOULD NOT FLUSH AT ALL, THE FLOOR COVERED IN WATER BASICALLY A NIGHTMARE!!!   27. I made reservations for a friend and I to stay at the Days Inn in Lacey Washington on August 1st 2015. I stopped in at 10am to see if I could check in a bit early or make sure it would not be an issue if I got in late (1am) and the girl at the front desk told me that she could check me in if the room was ready. It was not so she made a note in my reservation file stating that I would be coming in at 1am and then assured me that I would just need to stop at the desk and get the keys when I came in.

    My friend and I then went to Rainer Washington for the day to take part in a Relay for Life event.

    We got back to the hotel about 12:45am and the guy at the desk told me that they had been overbooked and there were no rooms available. I let him know that I had stopped in and been assured my room would be ready when I got in at 1am.

    Lucky us we could not find anything available in the area because there was a concert at the Tacoma Dome, a Watch Tower convention in Tacoma and Sea Fair in Seattle. So, after walking all day at the relay we had to drive 3 hours at 1am to get back home.

    Our room should have been there waiting for us. Bet they rented it out for a lot more so they just did not care. Will NEVER use Days Inn again ever. Oh, and when we got there a bunch of young punky types were sitting by the front door.

  28. We made reservation for the Days Inn in Goodlettsville TN 7-23-2015. We had two other families that made reservation at the same time also. One family arrived one day early and the others the next day. The first family had to wait for their room to be cleaned. This was 2:40 pm with check in at 3:00 pm. The rooms had mold around the baseboard and chest of drawers. There was mold in the bath tub jets that has not been cleaned. The chest of drawers were hanging off one side of the dresser and the chairs and carpet had stains and not sure what type of fluids were on them. This Hotel I would not recommend. This should be given to the city for shelter this winter for homeless people.

SENECA SOUTH CAROLINA DAYS INN...It's very upsetting to see harassment ,bullying and slander going on in a place of business...seeing those in charge degrade their employees and/or co-workers in front of everyone including clients ...laughing about it and slandering them carrying on and raving acting like a bunch of lunatics.It is not only sad but an act of committing Defamation and should be dealt with quickly by consulting a lawyer and also they consider legal action.

  30. Checked into the days inn in Grand Forks ND. 10/24/15 about 2 A:M. The clerk gave me the rate for my stay 10/25/15 2:30 A:M. The quote he gave my was kinda high so I said I'll try and find a cheaper place. At that point the clerk stopped me and said here is what I can do for you since I already closed out for the night I will charge you $98 for the stay..... The next day their were two charges on my account and he said sorry my Manager wouldn't let me work the deal. I was charged $192.48 for the stay....NEVER SIGNED FOR THAT and wasn't contacted prior to the charge. Horrible experience.

  31. Cherokee North Carolina. Sept 24-27, 2015 My complaint sent directly to the manager of this hotel. The reason I am writing you as I have been calling your hotel to speak to the Manager, since Monday morning to no avail. Each time the front desk attendant has stated, "they did not know when you come in, you just show up". Yesterday, I left my name, with the attendant and asked her to notify you to return my call. As of this writing, at 5:03pm Wednesday, September 30th you have not called.

    The complaint: Both of our rooms had roaches and bugs in them. We arrived late on Thursday and notified the front desk fist thing Friday morning after getting up. My mother-in-law's room had a great deal more than ours, but neither room should of had any. This is unacceptable for anyone to have to stay in a hotel with roaches and bugs. When she went to the front desk to complain, they stated to her they had sprayed the hotel for bugs/roaches already by having Orkin come in. She asked them to have someone come in again that day to spray both of our rooms. However, we do not believe they did as we still had roaches throughout our stay at your hotel. We had to keep everything off the floors and out of the drawers as there were bugs in there. Each day we killed several bugs in both rooms. And when we left, we all had to make sure there we NO bugs going home with us. When we checked out I stated to the front desk attendant again our concerns about the bug problem. All she said was we had Orkin to come in and spray. I told her that was not good enough and the hotel should be sprayed again.

    I have traveled many places and have never run across anything like this, nor the lack of concern by your attendants. We come to Cherokee several times a year. We have stayed at your hotel in the past with no problems and decided to stay there again this past week. However, with having a problem with bugs and the lack of your front desk personnel in not seeming to care, we might have to go elsewhere.

    I would appreciate a full explanation and some kind of response/concern from you in regards to this matter as we paid good money to stay at your hotel as there were other hotels to choose from. In addition, the distress this put all of us under, especially my mother in law is unacceptable.

    I would appreciate someone from your Corporate office reply to this complaint via this website.

  32. I booked a handicap accessible room that was supposed to have a full ADA bathroom, but when I arrived, I was given a normal room without any accessible facilities at all. They refused to change my room and I was forced to spend 3 days without being able to take a shower. I will never stay at Days Inn again.

  33. I stayed at the Horsham Days Inn New Years Eve until the second. I attempt to speak with the managers there and they have yet to return my messages (easily over ten messages left). I would like my reward points back for the stay as well as for the managers to acknowledge my complaint. Here's my e-mail to them below.

    I decided to take my family out for a New Years Eve celebration at a hotel. The hotel advertises it's been renovated. I can't imagine it has within the last decade. The lobby has matching leather chairs and each and everyone of them have matching worn rips in on the arm rest. The hallways are filthy . I have a bigger problem with this hotel. I woke up with my fingers on my left hand itching like crazy. Soon my forearm and the top of my head started to do the same. My Grand Daughter woke up crying about a half hour later saying her neck was itchy. We put her in the shower to rinse her off. The night before the toilet stopped up and the service man came to the room with no bucket, plunger or bag. When he returned with a plunger I asked if he needed a bucket and he said, "no I'm good". He plunged the toilet and told us we were o.k. now and left the room. Yes there were drips from the plunger leading out of the bathroom because he was 'good' and he didn't need a bucket. The furniture in the room all looked like second hand furniture. The desk was chipped up and worn. There were many stains all over the carpet. I don't know how the hotel can operate in this fashion. The best thing in the room was the t.v. if you didn't want to watch any of the local listing channels. The assortment of breakfast items that they advertise is another lie. You had a choice between toast and oatmeal.

  34. My family and I; consisting of myself, father that was in the hospital all day, sister and my 3 year old son; became stranded due to a winter storm at your Days Inn on Colfax in Denver. We had booked online and upon arrival discovered that there was no electricity or heat. All other hotels we contacted were sold out due to I-25 being closed. The front desk clerk was condescending and rude both at check in and check out. We were told the electricity would be on at 6p so we hunkered down thinking it would be better to be in a hotel than a cold car, and granted, it was. When the electricity and heat finally came on at 9:30p we were already heading to bed. I was not expecting total compensation as I understand the situation was mostly out of their control. I did NOT however expect to still be charged $115! I worked in the hotel industry for 9 years, working my way up to management. You are the last line of defense for weary travelers, especially stranded ones. When we contacted them they said we had to contact the online site we booked through. We did that and was told that no management ever became available to authorize compensation. This is completely unacceptable!! I don't ever plan on staying at another Days Inn due to the 100% negative experience.

I am currently at days inn in Brunswick Ga just off I95, what a mess, carpet coming up, painted over spots on the walls, no bedspread, dents in mini fridge, trash everywhere, scared to death to stay here, although its in a nice neighborhood. I have pictures. This place needs some MAJOR help, the furniture is sooooo old and the chair next to the table i was afraid to even sit in cuz it shook... I have pics. Its a disaster!!!!!!

  37. I was very disappointed this trip to Days Inn in Gretna, LA. The rail from the wall going up the step was out of the wall, no drawer in desk, no pot for coffee, no fire alarm, no phone, no wifi and elevator at our room didn't work. I pointed the rails out to the front desk, but it was ignored. This was on the 3rd floor. It has gone down hill so bad. I have pictures to prove it.

  38. Stayed at Days Inn in Des Moines, IA 4845 Merle Hay Rd. Very disappointed in the experience. Traveled with a youth softball team, we were not allowed to sit in the lobby, as that is for "breakfast only". Also, the cleaning staff's young children ran wild, in and out of room and three things at our girls. They were totally unsupervised. We were told we could check out & be refunded, so that is what we decided to do. When we did, the hotel manager said she changed her mind and would not refund us. Definitely would not recommend this hotel. Lastly, there is a bar/lounge in the back, but when we went there there was 2 men, who may or may not have been employees smoking pot in a van by the entrance. Not a family environment!

  39. Stayed at the Days Inn Milwaukee on the 6th street so we didn't have to drive early in the morning for medical appointment. Checked into Family Suite on second floor above the lobby. No phone in the room. Large hole on ceiling with wire sticking out in the room with toilet. Around 11pm things were getting very loud. People were using the outside of the building as a skate ramp ( it is glass right in plain view of the front desk and ARMED security) and staff did nothing. With no phone in the room, we went down stairs to speak with someone. Midnight began the drunks nasty in the hallways. Back down toe the front desk...nothing. One am started with drunken people dancing and screaming half naked in the front lawn. Back down to the front desk.....nothing. Two am, drunken couple screaming thru the hallways and at the front desk to the armed security...nothing. This continued all night long until roughly 5am. Each time we waited hoping it would be handled and we could get some sleep until we couldn't take it andwent back down stairs again and again. We were told they could not do anything about it. The people came in and paid cash with no CC for the rooms.
    Got to sleep at 6 am to get up at 8 for appointment. Waited at the front desk for 20 minutes (4 other people waited as well) while agent spoke with the DMV. Spoke with him about the night and was told he wasnt there he just got on, there was a rave, and they cant control people. Called back to leave a message to management to find out the man I spoke with was the assistant gm. He then told me since I booked thru expedia he couldn't do anything, but the next time we stay to call him directly and he will help us with our next room. Came home to find out we were charged by expedia and the hotel. Agent I spoke with didn't know how to fix it, call back on Monday.

  40. Days Inn Show Low AZ has bed bugs. Confirmed by my primary care Physician.
    I was bitten at least 50 times. Terrible experience and may leave some scars.
    They said they would refund the cost of my stay, but have not done so.
    Health Department has had another report of bed bugs there. Beware of staying there. Corporate should look into this motel very closely.

    And it was a dump! So upset the room was smoke free and it stunk, there was no light bulb's in light by bed, there was a hole in the carpet at the door, grout missing in 75% of the bathroom floor, a hole in the bath tub and a hole in the bath room door that someone punched in and was badly repaired, the floors and walls in bathroom were very dirty. And to top it off they would only leave 2 wash rags a day. This was Room 202! Days Inn was a great hotel to stay in but I won't be back unless corporate makes some changes....

  42. Days Inn Wild Wild West in Las Vegas was the worst experience I have ever had while staying at a hotel! Not only was their mold, bugs, and pissy bathrooms, the director, Alex Gomez, has failed to follow up with me after contacting him numerous times regarding my complaints! Because Alex was unavailable (as he was, my entire stay), I spoke to a manager on duty, who only compensated $55 in resort fees after staying in the hotel for 5 nights! Since Alex still has not contacted me, I will go higher up the chain to get my needs met! It has been well over a week since my check out and still no response! He knows that I have been contacting him because one of his employers printed out an email she sent to him herself! Poor management and horrible rooms and service!!

  43. I wish I had read this page before, so much in common. I made a mistake to book a night on August 06, 2016 in Days Inn Pensacola, FL. It was worst ever hotel I have ever seen. It was perfect for drug dealers and prostitutes. My room with my name printed on the page was given to a person from neighboring country. Guy answering the phone had cigarette on his ear and was in tank top (happens to be husband of the manager who was in shower when I need something corrected. Never got to see her). Filthy pool, people cursing for towels, broken locks, dirty beds and curtains, broken furniture. I have taken some pictures to scare my children from ever thinking of Days Inn in their life.

  45. Stay away from Days Inn in Elberton,Ga. G.M.and his son are total scam artist. They will charge your card for 3 or 4 additional nights and then say your bank was responsible, I stayed there 9/14 &9/15. was charged $75.18 for first night&$76.18 for second night. After I checked out of hotel on 9/16 my card was charged $152.36 on 9/17 & an additional $151.36 on 9/17. The G.M. whose name is Chris & his son both of Indian decent, shocker refuse to refund me for the $303.72 that they charged my card. They aren't aware of what they are doing is called Fraud, and it is illegal to make fradulant charges to someone's card without authorization from the holder of card. I have contacted the proper authorities and these clowns want be doing this to anyone else. Evidently there are several days inn properties that practice this same illegal behavior. Beware of Days Inn properties, and these scam artist Indians.

  47. The front desk man at Best Western walked into my room at their hotel to look at Expedia's
    Cancellation Fee for taking a peek into a Day's Inn room [my mother
    found the booked room at Day's Inn a bit small]. Day's Inn cancelled and then told me to be sure and call Expedia and make the cancellation with them or they will charge you. So, that very same morning we were over at the Best Western front desk, & after making an hour long call to Expedia, I assumed that I had obtained the hard fought cancellation. This all occurred this past
    December 7 2016 -- it had taken me over an hour, using the Best Western's front
    desk phone that I ended tying up, because of Expedia's unbelievably involved game-play, wasting my time ... Expedia had me transferred over from one Expedia agent to another. After all that we
    thought that it was cancelled but then, on my computer, I saw your Cancellation Fee
    statement that stated:
    -- There is a Days Inn Ottawa West cancellation fee of C$137.34 --
    and so I told the General Manager for Best Western who
    promised he'd get to the bottom of it. The general manager told me not
    to worry and that they would take care of it. But Expedia is really
    foxy and so when the Best Western general manager attempted to help me out of this financial
    conundrum Expedia's quick readymade response [a blatant lie] was to say that the Cancellation had nothing to do with either Day's Inn nor Best Western, when in fact it really did. I then had the front deskcome up to my room at Best Western and they saw with their own eyes your Cancellation Fee for the Day's Inn in Western Ottawa on my computer -- and they actually
    saw this in their very own motel room and then I had them transfer the
    page from my iMac down into their own office computer ... so in effect, I stayed uninvolved, playing by the rules of decency ... all I did was telephone down to Front Desk and it was their representative who came up right away. Expedia meanwhile are convoluted liars --the proof is in the pudding, as I concluded.. Expedia has sold their mercenary soul to the devil.

I stayed in the one in Bossier City LA. my first room smelled of dog and the next room the restroom tub and toilet was dirty. hair debris, dirt and some unknown substance in the tub!!!! finally talk to manager and she states that she forward to housekeeping. they(management)call back when they get time or remember to call the guest back. WOW. no more Days Inn for me!!! I went for Christmas 2016

  49. Back in January, I stayed for one night at your Peoria location on Grand Ave. I was required to give a $100 deposit. It was a no smoking room and I was instructed that if I smoked in the room, I would forfeit my deposit. Understanding this, I spent the evening at a bar around the corner and returned later on to retire for the night. I checked out at 5am and was told I had to wait for housekeeping to inspect the room later on. When I returned around 3pm to get my deposit,they gave me only half of it. Claiming they smelled smoke in the room. For months on end, I tried to reach the manager, but to no avail. Finally, after the motel was under a new management team, the new manager says there is nothing he can do since it wasn't under his watch. Days Inn owes me $50 or a comp night.

  50. I recently stayed at the Days Inn in San Bruno, California. Worst customer service I have ever received. The owner/manager actually lied to me to get me to pay a higher room rate. I had originally booked on Expedia but had made a mistake with the dates of my booking. When I asked the manager if I could get the same room rate or re-book on Expedia, he lied and stated that there were no more rooms left, but that he could offer me a "manager special". Being a single, female traveler, I felt that my hands were tied. The room rate I had originally paid was in Canadian dollars, so I asked if it was Canadian funds and he said yes. I found out later that he was charging me in US dollars, which put the room rate at double what I had paid originally. Not only that, but when I called my husband to see if Expedia would reimburse the monies I had originally paid, the Expedia agent told him there were 5 rooms left at that hotel and I could have gotten the same room rate I originally paid. Naturally I was upset, so I called the manager out on his deceit and asked him why he lied to me. He argued with me, yelled at me, and walked away stating "no one is going to deal with your complaint." I then asked him if there was a number I could call to speak with someone else since he would not listen to me and was treating me with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. He provided a number and when I called, it was his number! I became upset and asked him again why he was treating me like this. He stated "I wanted to teach you a lesson that no one cares about your complaint and there is nothing I can do." I am so disgusted that a manager/owner is able to treat a customer like this. I have stayed at a Days Inn in Canada and the hotel rooms were always clean and staff were always polite and courteous. Since it is a budget motel, I never had high expectations for amenities. However, the least I would expect is to be treated respectfully. I never asked for a refund, I just wanted the same room rate I had originally paid. I even asked for the managers name as he does not wear a name tag and he refused. I will never again stay at a Days Inn or recommend one to anyone to stay at. I am appalled that a motel that is under the Wyndham chain has such low standards and employs people that have no customer service. This particular individual has no business being in the hospitality industry as far as I am concerned, especially as a manager/owner.

  52. Wanted to stay at a hotel for my birthday on New Years Eve, I rented two nights at the Days Inn Altamonte Springs. Biggest mistake ever! Paid $257.60 on Expedia, checked in on 12/30 the first room I was given smelled. Was given another room, Rm. 233 and it was in bad shape, light didn't work, hair, sticky stuff on the hairdryer, the hotel property is unsavory, condom wrappers, folgers coffee cans filled with cigarette butts, from the guests that "live there". Wanted to check out immediately and ask for a refund. Spent an hour on the phone with Expedia, then Days Inn Corporate, was told that the manager was the only one whom could issue a refund and she wasn't due to be in until 11pm. waited a little longer, didn't want to be harassed by the prostitutes hanging out, outside my room door. Decided to leave, around 11pm I called and spoke to the manager Yovannie, she was the absolute rudest woman I had encountered in 2016. Not only did she refuse to refund my money, she ended up charging me for the whole two nights when I had left the premises within a few hours. THAT IS ROBBERY! DAYS INN TOOK MONEY FROM ME AND DID NOT PROVIDE ME A SERVICE.

  53. I reserved a room for several days in their hotel in Port Ritchey Fl. My room was a very old looking room with a worn mattress. It actually had an indent for 6 inches deep. Also, there was no free internet because there was no internet. The area where the pop machines were was fifthly and the machines were very old and faded. After 24 hours I talked to the staff and they were without any concern.. It was a we have your money no matter what you do. Your reservation was made on line and there would be no refund. These asses think I'm going to roll over. It's their Days Inn problem and not a third party problem. BBB here we come for a full refund plus more.

    When I check in front desk was I nice and friendly. He asks my I.D. and credit card and let sign check paper with the total amount of my stay, went the room #118 it was pretty small but it okay cause it and clean.
    next day, at 10:30 Am Andrew was the front desk told him checks out at room #118. He said okay you check out already, I said that it, I need a receipt showing me that only one day of stay and signature that was charged on my credit card. (Andrew) said we don't even have information on your card, I said are you sure because when I check - in yesterday the front desk guy asks for my I.D. and credit card and I sign some papers. Andrew stated I need to call booking. com because of it 3rd party. they will e-mail you the receipt and show if they charged you one day or two days. we don't have control for that.

    My phone was low battery and I don't have the phone number. So I ask him if I can use front desk phone so I can call booking.com to solve this issue. Andrew stated that the phone is can use to the front desk only not by the costumer. He said, "use your phone."
    I decided to charged my phone in the hallway. I was able to speak to the booking.com and able to charged one day and they will call the front desk. Well, they call to the front desk and Andrew said he don't have authorities over ride it and I need to wait until Monday when his manager Sam comes back. Wich is impossible since I have to go back to work on Sunday and lives 4 hours away.

    So booking.com call me they told me we can charge you one day but if they charged you two day is their decision. if you check out right now you might charge one day or two days. And its the hotel decision and Andrew has no authorities for that. I come back to front desk... I said okay to make this issue go away I'll just stay. But we have to leave since we have other engagement to attend. Andrew did give me few towels and told me the housekeeping just left. But it's only 11:00 am that time housekeeping left?? I know he was just lying cause Their housekeeping cleaning room across our room, in the hallway, and even in front desk listen to our conversation
    Well, I come back to my room its a mess garbage, wet towels, no toilet paper was not replaced and our bed was not even made and clean. instead of resting we have to clean up our room.

  55. My wife and I are highly upset with our stay at the Port Royal, SC Days Inn. My son graduated boot camp for the marines and we, like many other parents, had to find a hotel for the 2 day event. We knew the rates would be higher than usual due to the constant business the weekly marine graduations bring to hotels in the area, but were not expecting to pay $224 for two days in the room we got. It was a poorly kept and very outdatedly furnished room with 2 beds. When we checked into the room we uncovered the comforters and top sheets/cover of one bed to find pubic hairs and clothes lint on the fitted sheet that we would be sleeping on later that night. Obviously the bed linens were NOT CHANGED after the previous occupants. Also the floor in the bathroom was not clean, in fact there was dirt and scum of some sort all over the floor. We complained at the front desk and were given another room. The second room seemed clean when we walked in but when we pulled back the linens on one of the beds there was a blood stain in the middle of the sheet! The sheet had been washed but WHO WANTS TO SLEEP ON A BLOOD STAIN??? So we complained again and they sent someone to change out those linens as well. I took a picture of the blood stain and would post it here if there was a way to on this site. When we went to shower that night there was also a dead roach on the bathroom floor at the base of the rear of the toilet. NOW... we were expecting to pay a little more for a room so close to Parris Island, but we feel cheated and let down with what we got for our money. If anyone CARES and reads this wanting to make amends in compensation for this please contact me, Thomas Hood. We stayed at your hotel on 1/18 and 1/19 2017. We had room 207 originally then were sent to room 140. Look up my bill and call me???

  56. We stayed at the Days Inn, 7835 Myrtle Beach Hwy, Gable, SC for an overnight stop on our way to Florida. The room that we where given was missing the tile grout in the bathroom, toilet was stained and one of the beds was made with stained bedding. the front office was also in a disarray with clutter from possible ongoing renovations. The box springs where covered with the shipping plastic from the manufacturer. Our friends where traveling with us and they had garbage tea bags floating in their room toilet. My question to Days Inn is who sets the standards for the rooms and who ensures they are being met if there are standards

  57. I had to flee with my family from the Days Inn 838 Seven Bridge Rd in East Stroudsbutg, PA 18301. The manager refused to quite down revelers outside the hotel and wouldn't stop the prank phone calls I was getting. This was in the middle of the night. I had to call the local police department to ask to be escorted from the hotel as I was scared. They called the manager Miguel to escort me out and the police said he would. I waited and waited and then call Miguel the manager who flatly refused. Ultimately after 2 hours from my first complaint, I left the hotel at 4am - scared, tired and exhausted and will never deal with Days Inn again. No security. No respect.

  58. I just completed a stay at the Altamote Springs location in FL. I made my reservation and upon checking out got home to balance my account from my trip. I noticed an extra charge had been posted to my account this morning so I called the desk of the hotel to speak to someone about it. This was a major surprise to be told that a hold payment had been put on my card due to it being a debit card. So I asked how can a hold payment be placed after the room was already cleared and paid for. The lady explained I was wrong and hung up the phone on me. I called back to speak to the manger and she confirmed she was the manager. Explained my concerns and after being screamed at, and I do mean screamed at hung up on me again. I had asked for corp or local number to complain or explain and she just lost it. My stay was from 1 Feb to 5 feb. I called USAA and asked about the charge, the charge was not placed when the room was booked as the lady tried to convince me but was instead placed on the 4th of feb at 12:58pm at the counter of the hotel without my knowledge. Also the charge was not a hold charge but placed for payment which was made today. Will be disputing this charge as well as researching to see if this was indeed theif.   59. I just had the absolute worst experience with a Days Inn employee named Mike located that the corporate office! I stayed that the Days Inn in Kennesaw, GA and the conditions were deplorable. I lodged a complaint each day and my complaints went unanswered. There was mold in the fridge, The air vent in the bathroom was filthy the toilet leaked. It was clogged and the manager sent my husband back to the room with a plunger! When I asked for a refund, I was instructed to provide proof of the bill. I complied with their request, only to learn that I would only be allowed a refund of 1 day, which will be mailed out in 7-14 business days. I damn near stroked out after hearing this information. Matt's response was you stayed 4 days, so we can only refund you 1 day? Never mind that I complained daily and Days Inn was unresponsive. I then asked who else could I share my concerns with at the company? Matt stated no one. Really? I asked him if he was the owner he said no. I had to hang up before I blew a gasket. No worries, I have contacted colleagues who travel regularly and informed them of the piss poor service I received. I will tell as many people who will listen about this experience. I'd rather sleep on the side of the road in my car before I EVER consider staying at one of their hotels again. I could have easily disputed the charge, however I was willing to allow Days Inn to rectify the issue. EPIC FAIL!!!!!
