  1. Well I don’t know where to start. 2 Months ago I had to cancel my membership. I called my local office to cancel, I was very specific and ask what I needed to do to cancel, and Alan in Lebanon, MO. told me he would take care of it. And that they withdrew the last fee. “I asked him if there was anything else I had to do” and he said no I Checked my checking account and discovered that they withdraw again a fee. I called to the local office and Doug the owner told me my husband membership was transfer to this location and they were not able to help me. After spending my hour break on the phone I figured that the location was in Springfield, MO my husband got transfers without us knowing about this transfer. I did receive a notice that’s why I called Alan and cancel in the first place. I stopped in Springfield, MO the MANAGER Chris was rude, unprofessional, no customer skill. When I walked in he was cleaning the water fountain and there was lady next him to my impression seemed like they were friends because they were laughing, when he decided to come to the office he told me he had to take care of her first. When I briefly explain my situation apparently he knew already because corporate already had called him and he pretty much brush me off I called again and ask for an appointment, At the same time Doug the owner from Lebanon called this location and explain the issue, and ask them to help me. When I showed up I got charge for another month FEE because it was there policy, In total I paid this location 3 months that I didn’t use. I understand there’s a policy but if someone drops the ball shouldn’t there be exceptions? I worked for the Lodge of four seasons for 8 years became a manager in a year and buy far it was the worse customer service that I had received in years. Do they forget that costumers is why were blessed we get a check. The Fitness center IS DIRTY, WATER TASTE BAD, PART OF THE CEILING TYLE IS MISSING, and NOT A GOOD PLACE TO WAKEUP AND GO WORKOUT that’s why I cancel in the first place I will never sign up with anytime fitness again. After how I got treated I will let everyone know how anytime fitness treated me as a customer.

      I also experienced this in Warren Michigan, the office manager is rough speaking was not able to answer any of my questions. The gym was not cleaned well. According to another client the cleaning is done by the previous Managers mother not a crew of any type and only one time in the early morning not at all in any part of the day. I have @ months left on my contract believe you me I will not be resigning with Anytime Fitness at anyone of the locations.

I have also been faced with an extremely arrogant, rude, and condescending manager at their Ann Arbor, MI facility, who communicates in a way that he despises you and “why are you in this facility to begin with” approach. There is no point of complaining to their club's e-mail address since the email goes directly to the manager you are complaining about. I am trying to figure out a way to directly approach the club's owners. Unfortunately, they do not have a separate email or phone number listed.

    3. Well at least you can get a hold of someone. I have been trying to cancel my membership for a year now and no one answers the phone or calls you back when you leave a message and if you go into the club no one is there either.

    4. The manager in Lincoln Il. is also rude, never in the gym and I feel as though he lies. I too, have tried cancel my membership and was told they will "suspend it for six months and after six months company will terminate the contract." Well is was suspened for six months and then started taking money out of my account. when I called the manager he was rude and smart with me and said read your contract. I will never recommend anytime fitness to anyone. I will also tell people to check the web site for all these complaints and problems people are having. If only I read all these complaints I wouldn't have even stepped inside the doors.

  2. The Faribault branch is the worst and I have been to many !! It needs to have a new manager and a major update!!Check it out!!

  3. Hayes Va branch has rude and disrespectful owners and so called receptionist. They have ended a zumba class that had 12-15 people because they wanted to put another class on that day. the zumba class has been there for a year and had the most clients. I have brought friends to this class and joined. they have there kids playing on the equipment running around the gym. I will not encourage anyone to become a member here.

  4. Hayes, Virginia location has got to be the worse gym I ever been to. The owners are never there to discuss members problems. Sara the receptionist is rude I heard her tell a member that she was obese, she should not be saying such ugly things to members. I tried to complain to the owner about her and she would not call me back. I would like to cancel my membership and tell everyone I know DO NOT get a membership there. Im sure there will be more people complaining especially from the zumba class that I take there. Our zumba class is getting taking away from us and it is the best class and it helps me.

  5. southbridge ma location terrible...Made 9 phone calls left vpice mails, spoke to manager twice never a single phone call back, went into cancel my membership as I was told I could do and of course the person who told me I could cancel no longer works there...of course not...

  6. I'm trying to cancel my membership (contract) now and even though I have a valid reason and proof, they tell me that there is no way out of it! What! I understand there could be a charge, but they won't even do that! How ridiculous...bunch of hogwash! So, I'm closing my bank account even though they tell me they will still charge me and report me to the credit bureau...Oh! excuse me, I'm really scared. It would be the only thing on my credit...so...I doubt I won't be able to get a bank loan because I didn't pay Anytime Fitness...seriously...this is bullshit! NEVER sign a contract with them...

  7. For the people that have made these comment I am very sorry that you have had to experience this treatment. Please move to Le Mars, IA where we have a wonderful culture gym, with all questions answered in a timely mater and always very polite and friendly. I am the H21 at Le Mars, where the member is always RIGHT. We welcome you to our club even if its as a visitor. We are the Ice Cream Capital of the World...We love new and pass members come visit us today.

  8. My son now 15 has worked with a trainer since 11 years of age. His personal trainer, trained him at his home for 5 years, he then was hired by anytime fitness in Irwin, Pa and because my son not only adored him, he also had results quickly and improved in his favorite sport, wrestling......Naturally we followed him even though the cost was more. I signed a contract for ONLY one year. After that one year I assumed like any contract after it ended no more withdrawls from my account. The cost was 100 a month for one 45 min session every other week. Well this month on the 9th like my monthly payment was decucted previously a payment of 100$ tried to be withdrawn from my account. The contract ended so why would this try to go through. I emailed the gym and they told me to talk to my trainer. My trainer explained that when we signed up there was a small tab at the bottom of the contract that was set on "auto renewl", that he had no idea about. So automatically it signed us up month to month. I was not told about this until it was to late. Me thinking that no problem it will be fixed, wrong our trainer explained that we had to sign an end of contract agreement and it had to be done 30 days before the next payment date or they will keep deducting my account. I am so upset and angry about this. Basically our trainer said that the owner doesn't care and he NEVER refunds anyone. It has made alot of others unhappy but the owner doesn't care. This is very poor busniess etheic and I would NOT recommend anyone to contract with this gym. My sons trainer feels so bad he offered to pay for it. I can't let him or expect him to do this. But how decieving of a company to let this happen without notifiying not only the trainer but the customer as well? I have alot of friends, family and coworkers who have been asking me about gyms and this one will for sure NOT be a recommendation. I told 3 people alone today about this experience.
    My son loves health and fitness and is very involved in several sports, he is also a great athlete, he will make sure none of teammates sign up with this gym as well. NOT happy at all with this customer service. Horrible way to run an establishment. Also the owner of this loacation is a real ass for not being able to help or be contacted when he knows this happened to not just me but dozens of others. Our trainer said basically you have to eat the 100$. plus be charged extra an 20 for the money not being available in my account. ASSHOLE!!!!!
