I tried to call Ally back in October 2022. The waiting time was long and frustrating. Finally got through to an agent. I called about a CD renewal. Two CDs

I asked if it would be worth it to take the penalty for early withdrawal to get a better rate. I was told by both agents ( two separate phone calls) that yes it would be worth it and I would get the money back quickly. It sounded logical and made the decision to do so I was not told that if the rates go up you could lose interest and won’t be worth it. So now it will be a big amount of money I would be losing and I’m not a happy customer at this point. Been with Ally for a long time. It has taken care of my needs in the past but now it’s a different story. Most likely in the future, I will transfer most of the money to another online bank.
