Staying Ahead in the Furniture Retail Sector: Value City Furniture’s Rivals

The furniture retail industry is marked by intense competition, with several brands vying for consumer attention. Value City Furniture faces competition from other major retailers such as Ashley Furniture HomeStore, Rooms To Go, Raymour & Flanigan, and Bob’s Discount Furniture. These brands, like VCF, have built their reputations on offering stylish, durable furniture at accessible price points. Additionally, the rise of online furniture retailers like Wayfair and IKEA has added another dimension to the competitive landscape. As the dynamics of furniture shopping evolve, with an increasing number of customers turning to online platforms, Value City Furniture, along with its competitors, continues to adapt to cater to changing consumer preferences.

Value City Furniture Delays

Rated 1.0 out of 5
October 17, 2023

Ordered a bedroom set in June. The bedroom set was just of stock. Delivery was August, the next date was September and October, and now November, and I do not get until December. The bedroom set is being displayed in the recent Designer’s Catalog. Poor stocking issues.

Value City Furniture Complaint - No dining room table delivery

I paid for a dining room set in May of this year with a delivery date of August 11. I’ve now received October 18th and this is the third delay. I’m done, once I lose faith and trust in a business, it’s over. I want my money back and will never purchase anything from them again. Wish I had seen these reviews prior to buying and letting them hold my money for months. Waste of time and energy and I want all of my money back.

Spent close to 15 thousand dollars at the airport why. Ohio store since March 2023. My bedroom furniture Was promised August 18th. A mattress and 1 nightstand showed up. Since the 18th I have been fighting to receive the rest of my order. It’s like pulling teeth they don’t care. Mind you it’s completely paid for!! The person who said they wish they could give a zero rating I agree. I have been home every Wednesday for a delivery since August 18th. This is getting so very old. Just got a call it won’t be 2mrw either. Last week they delivered the same hole in the bottom nightstand I didn’t expect 2 weeks before. I don’t want to hear any more excuses I just want my nightstand. I have the corporate #and am going to call as soon as I’m done writing this review. Probably won’t do any good. But I don’t know what else to do. Just want my nightstand.

Corporate Office for Value City - Who are these people working in customer service?

Rated 1.0 out of 5
August 30, 2023

Twice I’ve shopped at (and unfortunately bought) Value City. Once I paid for delivery and the movers broke the leg on my cabinet. Complained and it was poorly fixed. This last time I got a defective piece, bought the warranty and I still got hell for asking to have it resolved. Customer service people are flat-out obnoxious. Horrible company! Save your blood pressure and shop somewhere else!

Value City Home Office - Wish my rating could be 0 stars

Been paying on furniture that cost close to $3000 I owe 1034 left. Twice now I called to make payment worker took my name and said they would call back no one ever did. Then I called to talk to the manager about it she basically treated me like I was lying, with no apologies no action to try to rectify the situation or compensate, I just said, ok well I can take the payment now ( the audacity). The only problem is now I don’t want to I want to get my money back and cancel the order since a close to 3,000 purchase is not important or enough to them to try to provide good customer service. Very clear my business means nothing to them if the in-store workers don’t care I’m sure corporate cares even less
