  2. You have a server at the red robin at the waterfront her name is Michelle J. She was very nice, patient, very nice to my kids. Her service to me and my family was great!

  3. I visited your rastaurant in foxboro ma.on nov 19th thought the place looked nice but we got there it took a long time for our server to take our order and there was only 2 other couples in the restaurant. When we finally recieved our food the french fries were cold told the person who brought out food she ordered hot fries but i couldnt wait for fries to come out and eat with my burger cause that was getting cold also so i ate my food without the fries. Our fries came out about 15 minutes later but was done eating so they just were wasted. I would not reccomend your restaurant to anyone if asked how it was.

    1. Obviously, Red Robin does not care about customer service. i tried to make a nice complaint about how we were cheated at their resteraunt, and I cannot even find a place to do so!

    2. Well, I finally got this to publish after many tries, so here goes:
My sister and I got take out at the Plaza Bonita Red Robin, and they left out the side. That would not have been too bad, but we ordered and PAID for TWO milk shakes, and BOTH shakes were less than half full in the to go cups!!! Obviously, they made one shake and divided it into two cups...too bad they actually charged us for two shakes!!!!

  4. Tried to eat at the Norman,OK at 5:00 on a Sunday...the rude hostess told us (the ONLY people at the door) that it would be 10 minutes before we could even sit down & order a drink bc the kitchen was backed up from a 4:00 rush- we have a hungry 3yr old, if you can't staff appropriately on the weekends you're an idiot- called to talk to the manager & he was just as rude & ignorant as the skanky blonde hostess. red robin just lost our business forever.

  6. Your pricing has become unaffordable for family outings. Children menu prices are $3.99 for grilled cheese & one choice item, drink is lemondade or milk included. As a grandmother on an outing in Madison yesterday, there was not a single item for adult sandwich below $8.00. My favorite was always Chicken Whiskey & it has skyrocketed from $7.45 to $9.49! Asked for just a single burger and was told there was only a double burger available for $6.99. For my age I'm not inclined to eat "double." 3ove my Coca Cola so ordered that. Price was $2.49!!!! No fries are included w/Children's meals anymore, mine were shared w/my 2 young grandsons. Total bill w/o gratuity was $21.06. That is for 1 senior + 2 children ages 5 & 3. The service was good so our waiter received a $4. tip. "NO MORE RED ROBIN outings I told the boys." Enticing arcade games are $1 / pull & that was denied them. GET REAL! It's all about making $$$$$$$$$$$ It's not FUN anymore.

    1. You get real! Your lucky you got that as a total. That is a good price. How about you just make sure your kids are having fun. This is not the McDonald dollar menu.

      Delete
    2. It is called menu cost. Produce goes up so prices go up. At least you gave a 20% tip unlike most people that go to red robin.

  7. OH MY!!!
YOU DELETED MY ENTRY WHEN I HAD NO HOST NAME & HAD TO R06 EVERT TO ANONYMOUS!!

It was about pricing folks. No senior prices. Children's are minimum $3.99 for grilled cheese plus one choice item. Fries are not included. Grandmother shared mine w/cheapest chicken sandwich of $9.95 and Coca Cola $2.49. Total bill for outing = $21.06 and $4 tip for a good waitress. GET REAL RED ROBIN....It's all about YOU making $$$$. It can no longer be a treat stop w/grandchildren.

  9. greenville sc has the most unfair treatment with regards to staff scheduling. servers schedules are made according to what guests order. for example, if guests order water or "budget priced" menu items this makes the servers sales lower and results in an unbecoming schedule for the following week. servers are also ranked by "top 10" & "bottom 10" and these rankings are posted weekly. the entire management staff plays favorites and if anyone goes against them this too reflects in scheduling.

  10. I wouldn't recommened eating at any Red Robin after my experience eating at the pittsburgh mill in tarentum,pa.I ate there daily & was one a first name bases withmost of the staff. My daughter works at the mill so we would eat there everyday after her shift. Then I was eating french fries to bite into a metal hook looking object ( it broke off from a metal scrapper to clean grease) I broke my back tooth over it.The manager & their health insurance lied & avoided me as well as corpt office.I was only asking to get my tooth fixed no money. The manager Erin Beth at the time told us it isn't uncommon to get metal but usually its in the hamburgers, the company they get the meat sometimes has little metal pieces.Should make you think twice on paying that much for "metal burgers".Maybe they just need a lawsuit

  12. Garbage served with total indifference at Red Robin in Salem Oregon. January 29, 2013

Spent 30 dollars on a an uneatable cob salad and a burnt Whiskey River BBQ burger. After the waitress - Brittany- dumped the slop on our table she disappeared until she brought the tab. (We did see Brittany once across the room with several other staff members singing Happy Birthday to a big table. Hope they tipped her, I didn't) .No soft drink refill (the glass was half empty when she brought it with Coke all over the outside) no bottomless fries other than the 8 slightly cooked ones that came with the burger.

A manager (woman with short black hair) walked by our table three times and did not stop in spite of us trying to wave her down. The first time she came by she said "How's your food. Enjoy!" and walked away without giving us a chance to tell her in spite of my attempts in a loud voice to get her to turn back.

When I complained while leaving, the girl at the door was nice but didn't know how long it would take to get a manager for us. I called the restaurant after going home and spoke with Ashley who said she was a manager and said she wanted us to come back again but it was obvious there was no real concern.

We won't be back and you can be sure I will spread this tale of a rip-off far and wide here in Salem. Too bad, you used to have a good eating place. Must have been bought out by Jack-in-the-box since we were last there. It was that kind of experience until time to pay.

  13. My husband has been sick, so he didn't want a big meal. We told the waitress Deanna at your West Covina restaurant that we wanted to split a meal. She not only accommodated us, she split our Simply Chicken meal on two plates. How thoughtful and pleasant she was. People like Deanna, make me not hesitate to go back to your restaurant. What an asset she is. Thank you!

  14. Has there been a recent change in Management at the Pleasanton, CA Red Robin?

Although past experiences have been OK, tonight WAS NOT.

The place was not busy when we arrived, but started filling up about half an hour later. We noticed everyone around us (who came in 20-30 minutes after us) got their food, and we were still waiting. We finally asked the waitress if our food was coming, and she said, "Well, I put the ticket in!" and disappeared. No apology or reason given when the food finally arrived nearly an hour after ordering. (It was nothing fancy--just a couple of burgers and a sandwich.)

Towards the end of our meal the manager stopped by to ask if everything was OK. I told him what happened, and we were surprised by his non-reaction. He said, "Oh, sorry to hear that," and made a lame excuse that they were really backed up. (Never mind that wasn't the case when we ordered our food nearly two hours before.) He offered no adjustment to the bill, or anything else that might make a disappointed customer think about coming back.

Guess we'll take our business elsewhere until there's a change in management and waitstaff. In the meantime, I hope they learn to show their customers more appreciation.

  15. Davenport, Iowa Red Robin, has been very good to us.. good food, great servers and if you dont go during a busy time fast & hot delivery.
I dont usually write opinion on customer service cards or at thier websites. But lately i have noticed some issues at our Red Robin. It seems to be the same as other posts i have read, customer service. Not by the servers, but the atmosphere and a few managers.
Two seems to do a wonderful job when we have been there, while two others seem to do nothing but stand around.
I am not in thier shoes, so i dont know if that is thier job description. Although i think the counter can stand on its own. Gee, shouldnt you talk to your customers or help your staff when its busy?
I have heard other people talk/complain about the same thing. Most afraid to say anything. So i had to vent for all of us.

  16. Hello, I have been a red robin customer for 12 years and have always loved the service, unfortunately this experience was awful. We were seated at a table in the bar section of the Smokey point, Washington red robin on a Wednesday, and the bartender/server named Melissa was very rude with my mother and I, she was using very foul language and telling us to hurry and f#@%ing order, when we did order she proceeded to tell us how much this dish sucked and how we wouldn't want anything fromthis menu. We then overheard her talking on the phone that her and her family were trying to rid themselves from lice!!!!!! We very quickly got up and left the restaraunt and went to the ram restaraunt where the service was clean and polite and the food was excellent. I have been making sure I spread the word of mouth about the poor, impolite, and disgusting service that was provided at red robin smokey point, washington.

  21. I am getting so impatient with the Red Royalty Rewards card. Several times my family has had our cards deactivated or no longer able to slide. The solution? Hand us a card and tell us to register it online. This requires a different phone number and a different email which we've started running out of. Not only that but we've lost accurals from the previous cards due to these constant changes. I tried using the website to contact them but the website acts like it didn't send or even acknowledges what I put. I hit the submit button and it goes gray but the box doesn't dissapear and the only option is to cancel the submission.

  27. I dined last night at the Pensacola, FL Red Robin on 9th Avenue. My experience was negative only because of the manager! I was sitting close enough to the kitchen area that I could hear everything, which is normally fine. However, right after our entrees arrived, I heard a manager (I think his name tag said Joe) talking trash about an employee. I found this childish and unprofessional. My husband and I became even more appalled when a waitress, I'm guessing the one he was talking about walked up and clearly heard him. He didn't even act like he cared. Granted I have no idea what happened behind the scenes after but if this is how employees are treated at Red Robin, I'm not sure if I will be giving them my business any more. If I treated my employees like this, I wouldn't have any left.

  29. Hello,

I need to file a complaint about your Issaquah, WA location.

An ad was placed on Craigslist for line cooks in Issaquah and Redmond, WA. It never stated it was a part time job and I'm looking for full time. I applied and got a call the next day from Luis, the kitchen manager from what I was told. He asked me to be there at 2pm. I was there 10 minutes early and had to wait till 3:10 for him to come out and talk to me.

He stated he was sorry for the wait and looked for me. I was in the same spot for an hour and twenty minutes and he NEVER looked for me. I saw him one time deliver some food out to the bar, walking right past me and watched the whole time for someone to come and get me and no one did.

When he finally did come get me, we sat down, he asked for my work history, which is very extensive and then he told me, "we only have part time work". I had waited and hour and twenty minutes for someone to tell me, after lying about coming to find me, to tell me (very sheepishly) that there were only part time positions. I was furious and wasted my precious time while my father-in-law was in life threatening surgery as I need a job to support my family, only to be told this? Your ad states "to embrace our core values: Honor, integrity, seeking knowledge, and having fun but also committed to delivering superior "unbridled" service." I'm seeing this does not apply to all your workers OR management.

I'm so disappointed in my experience there and expected so much more as I've been a Red Robin customer since you started your business, and my brother worked at your very first location in the University District of Seattle.

I'll not be participating at your restaurants anymore due to this total lack of respect and politeness by your management. I expected, as I said, so much more.

If you are going to advertise, please state all the facts so people that are trying to get ahead and work for a place they respect get the whole truth upfront. He didn't even state the position hours when he invited me to be interviewed.

If I don't get a response from this, I'll go higher and talk to the corporate management somehow. I've never done anything like this before as far as filing a complaint like this, but this was over the top. He was a poor example of the previous quality and service I'd come to expect from Red Robin.

    Disappointed in Issaquah,

    Michael Cambern
PS... you would have gotten a STELLAR employee.

This isn't about me, but about a good friend of mine working there. This person has and continues to strive above and beyond at their job and deserves to be promoted to a server instead of the GM hiring outside servers. Please do whatever it takes to help my friend. The worse part was with all the 'I'm sorry's nothing was taken off the bill nor did they give us a coupon or anything to compensate for such horrible service.

  38. Is it a normal practice of your management to work your employees more than what they are scheduled to work and have them fill like they are not appreciated. And then have them threatened with their jobs after they are told how great they were doing. This seams to me that this is a big problem.

I can say right now that he DOES NOT like the job anymore because the first night he worked closing the kitchen, He was there nearly 4 hours after his shift was supposed to end. Because NOBODY helped him close the kitchen on his first night. We have a 6 month old son at home & Red Robin has NOT paid my boyfriend in over a month & a half. Luckly for us we live w my sister & Pay rent according to how much money he makes per check . But since he has not gotten paid in a month & a half , We do not have money to pay rent , buy diapers , ect . Red Robin SUCKS. He has made plenty of complaints to his managers but nobody seems to give a damn weather or not he gets paid. Once he gets hired some place else, he is going to have a few choice words to red robin. I DO NOT recommended to my worst enemy to work there. Get ur shit straight Red Robin .

I have to say that once I started it seemed so hectic ive never worked in a restaurant that once you clock it your section is moved sooooo much! and you have to take are of so many tables at once. its been a little over a year now and its still over whelming going to work knowing that we are one of the busiest restaurants but yet 1 person is taking care of 30 plus people maybe more at once. if you want more people to come back because not only food is great but also service then try changing how things are run. we are servers and we don't have 20 legs and arms to be everywhere at once. please do something about that matter. I love my job but its over whelming. ive been to other red robins and I talk to servers and they say once they get there they have the same 5 table sections all day and its so much better then moving sections and taking care of so many tables at once. specially now on our busiest time which is November December you need to do something quick. we are located inside of a mall so you can only imagine. last year we had so many people leave without paying because us as servers couldn't keep up with the tables. PLEASEEEEE here me out! thank you for your time.

  48. We have loved Red Robin for many years but NO MORE! My husband has complained all way up the corporate ladder. Nothing has changed. If you are in Chesepeake, Va. DONOT go to the Red Robin at Chesepeake Square. The place is nasty. The service is slack. The food is terrible. They can't get your order right. My husband has ask for a double Red Robin burger three times. Three times, they forgot to put the second patty on and would bring the second patty to him on a small plate. How ignorant is that? They did it again this last weekend and also put old, "used" fries, (which had been on someone else's plate) on his plate. We had to ask for utensils, more coffee, creamer and sweetner. Your server is supposed to keep check on their customers, but they don't.Mind you, we were sitting at the bar. The food we ate made us sick. We will never go to Red Robin ever again! I hope they go broke and close the SOBs down! Nobody cares there and all the way up the ladder. All our family is not going to RR anymore and neither are our friends.

  49. So as our family was enjoying our meal in the Yuba City Calif. restuarant Friday night October 18 2013 we heard multiple employees talking about two different subjects which I found disturbing especially when the shirts the employees wear have the word INTEGRITY on them.Ive personally googled one of the issues to see if what we overheard was true and I was sickened by my finding. There is actually a blonde porn star that works in that store.I have teenage sons and daughters and feel she is setting a horrible example for teens and Red Robin.Do you not research your employees. To see for yourself google the name Cali Carter pictures say it all.The next matter is an employee that was caught smoking dope in the bathroom and given a warning and then getting caught again outside. My question is WHY was the employee given a warning and not fired on the spot instead being given another opportunity to put others in harms way by being under the influence. Not only should the employee be fired but the manager that was on duty the night of the first incident.By not firing this individual the manager put not only the other employees at risk but the community.WHERES THE INTEGRITY THAT RED ROBIN CLAIMS TO HAVE. PLEASE RESEARCH THESE TOPICS

  51. I am a Veteran and would like to Thank Red Robin for being so kind in this cynical world and offer something like a warm meal. Red Robin might not know what a warm meal means to us and its more than words can express. I was at the Rancho Cucamonga Store # 406 in CA and had a great server named Brad. I would like to Thank Brad, Danielle, Asst Mg Wayne for there EXCELLENT SERVICE. Thank you again and GOD speed.

  52. Waitress informed us that she was not allowed to tell us that the veteran free meal was only one certain burger? So as I paid for my retired air force fathers bill he felt bad about ordering a fish sandwich. Is that how we treat our vets? Making them feel bad about wanting a fish sandwich. Red Robin will not be visited by I again. Wishing you the worst luck. Hope ya shut down.

  53. I was an employee at red robin until early last week. I was a hostess.. At the beginning everything was fine. But 4.5 months after opening for red robin, the managers began becoming irritable & enforcing rules that we're never created before. After getting my information to check out my pay stub information, I realized that I was getting paid less than what I was told I would. I had food service experience prior. So I didn't understand why I was getting paid less than people with no experience. I was interviewed by Mary Hodges & she told me that i would get paid $8/ hr. My pay stub said only $7.25/hr. I want to take legal actions against the restaurant and be compensated for the time I was getting paid less than I deserved.

  54. We just moved to Fort Benning from Washington State and we were really happy that there was a Red Robin. The purpose of this is to basically announce that what we saw makes my wife and I shocked.
Our server was absolutely amazing and the best I've ever had.
Food was delicious but took awhile and it wasn't busy.
The horror we witnessed was the disrespect that we witnessed from her manager. We could hear him and nice things were far from what was said. We noticed two other servers standing on their phones and our server and others were stopped in their tracks and told do something else that the two could have done. We couldn't hear what he said but it was obviously affecting our server by the forced smile and stressed out face.
This is written two weeks after that due to the fact that she is now our babysitter and my wife's new friend.
I cannot believe the stories that we were told and how badly favoritism is being used. I hope this is noticed and taken care of. She's put a good time there and even in total has years of experience of customer service.
I hope this is noticed and action was taken. I was even asked if I didn't mention names and that's just as upsetting. If I don't see/hear any improvement, I will seek higher to get it noticed, especially reading all the rest of the reviews before me.

  55. As a add on to the above post: she insisted that this complaint was not necessary and I'm disturbed that she is scared of what consequences may arise. An employer terrified of her management? Unacceptable. I hope this is going to change.

  56. DONT GO TO red robin @ Pittsburgh mills mall...... Food was good but the servers suck.... We've been there like 6 times in the last 4 weeks for lunch and EVERY time EVERY server was too lazy and rude..... Tabitha was the WORST of all...The tables were dirty.... The last time we went we talked to a manager named Amy and it seamed like she could give a fuck less about our happiness..... I think she was retarded, drunk, or something...... Maybe they wer both having a bad day but like I said we go there often and the service always sucks...... We like the food its always good but the customer service is not up to par..... The hostess I think her name was Lisa took forever to seat us she was huddled up with all the other servers talking and didn't even notice us at the door..... I'm not a racist but the only person who we noticed that WAS actually working was a black guy in the kitchen all by himself....KUDOS to that guy GREAT food.....

Both lasting 4 days. Also not able to eat anything losing 10 lbs. I couldn't even drive home. luckly a friend took care of me. Cleaning up after my mess. I called RR to pervent anyone else ordering the chop house burger.
Red Robin Corp office called saying someone reported getting sick. They keeped questioning me about the time.
Saying they were sorry and would a gift card help. Well they sent a BIG $25. Which didn't even cover the meal. let alone 4 days of HELL.

  60. My Fiance and I went to eat at Red Robin at South Hills Village in Bethel Park, Pittsburgh, Pa. DO NOT EAT THERE! The Hostess and Servers were great but after ordering our food, we waited for at least an hour and a half for our food....I ordered a " Well-done " burger NO PINK and when I finally got my burger it was " Pink " so I told the waitress and she apologized and brought me out another burger that was finally cooked right to what I ordered but then the bacon on the burger was RAW! My Fiance and I both ordered the " A-1 Peppercorn burger....his burger was fine but then the onion straws were not crispy, they were SOGGY! So, the manager was called and he came out and we talked to him..he apologized and took my burger price off the tab and asked me if I wanted something else, I said, " No, because I lost my appetite. After seeing the RAW bacon in my burger....If they don't know how to cook a burger properly PLUS gave me COLD SOGGY FRIES AND ONION STRAWS maybe they should GO OUT OF BUSINESS. This restaurant in South Hills Village is terrible in the way they don't know how to COOK A BURGER to proper temperature and WHAT AND HOW THE CUSTOMER ORDERED!

  61. My god. I didn't know that there was a place that I could write a complaint until my friend Jess told me last night. I'm from the Pittsburgh mills area and when I went to the red robin it seems nice. I ordered a side which was Mac & cheese and It was cold. I asked for a new bowl of it and I swear, it was put into the microwave or something.... SO I just said cancel my chicken, and ill go with a salad. It seemed like my server was upset and sort of rolled her eyes at me angry... I looked at my friend and she noticed it as well. She might have been having a long bad day, but i did notice she had the odor of marijuana & so did a man who was cleaning tables.... I know it isn't nice to say but, there shouldn't be that attitude. I'm assuming it was from smoking. Lazy and unprofessional. That is all. Thank you.

  62. What qualities do you look for in your managers?? If you want managers who display favoritism, manage by intimidation and retaliation, punish those who are at work on time, never miss a day of work but yet let those who do not come to work or are late slide, confront employees in the presence of peers,or never give praise to those who do their jobs then you have what you want in the manager at your Jackson, Tennessee restaurant. If this is what you you consider good management skills, then I do not think I want to eat at your restaurants. I worked in management for thirty four years and I do not consider this good management style at all!!!!!

  63. Your Rockaway NJ store use to be a nice place to eat. Your use to have a nice host that knew everything about the restraunt and the menu and she would always do her best to seat me and my children as quick as possible even when your store was on a wait. My children are special needs and can't wait the 45 min to hour wait you normally have on Thursday, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. We use to be able to call ahead and let her know we were coming and she would put us on the list. Since she left last June I can't take my kids there anymore. I think her name was Danie or Danielle. Its sad when your company decides to let a great employee walk away and keep all the low-life people you have now. The servers are rude and I hardly ever see managers walk around the floor. I did howevr see the manager joking with a server that walked in at exactly 4:31 pm for a 4:30 shift. The server joked around, walked around and played with her hair before finally getting to her tables 10 minutes after her shift started. In my day servers were expected to come in on time ready to work not joke around and make their tables wait. Your Rockaway,NJ store needs serious help as of late the only reason I have come back at all is because of Kathy the manager. Soo happy you got rid of the little one you use to have. Martyann was fake and not very nice. I wish you would bring Danie back she was fabulous. She was an assett to your company. Im not sure why she left but from what one of your other hosts told me she quit after being promoted several months before and they never moved her to server. If you know which retraunt she is working please let me know so I can give them my business. Red Robin seems nice from the looks of it but alot of your servers seem like they could care less about serving your guests than joking with the other servers. Please get rid of that witch of a server you have named Barb. She is awful!! I watched her stand behind the glass and complain about her tables and everything under the sun while her tables wait. She has a horrible additude and doesn't pay attention to her tables. When she does go o the table she is rude and acts like she doesn't have any time for them. You have a fat host I think her name is Vanessa and she is just rude, awful and needs to do some actual work. She is always sloppy and rude. She wouldnt be working anywhere else with that attitude.

  64. Part 1...My story is similar to many previous posters. On 2/12/2014 my wife and I went out to the Red Robin near the Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne Pa. We were celebrating my birthday and we wanted to take advantage of my Red Robin Rewards free burger. We had a problem last year with my RR Rewards card we asked our server Miranda B. to check to make sure my free burger was on my card. When she returned told us that my card was activated but not registered? I explained to her that my card was given to me by the manager over a year ago. No one told me I had to do anything more with it. I asked to speak with a manager and a young man named Tony Macalusa(sp) came over to our table. He stated the same to us and handed me a printout that showed my card was "activated on 2/10/2013" but not registered". Once again I explained that I wasn't told that I had to "Register" the card. He then stated "How do we know you just didn't pick up a card tonight off the table?" I then showed him the tattered card holder and his own admission that the card was activated over 1 year ago. His answer was " you can stay or you can go home and come back 24 hrs after registering your card as long as it's during February." My wife was upset and wanted to leave. Seems that you need a different email address for each family member. If you try to add on an additional family member it will delete the previous name from the card. This makes no sense and creates problems when you try to use their card. We decided to stay and told the manager and server we would write a complaint to Corporate. They didn't seem to care. Now about our server...her name was Miranda B.. She was nice and friendly but not a very good server. The resturant wasn't busy due to bad weather and the up coming Valentine's Day. She took our order, a burger for me and a chicken salad for the wife. It took awhile for our food to arrive and when it did I noticed a few changes since the last time we were here. Noticeably missing was the paper wrapper they us to wrap the burgers in. Made for a less then messy burger. The French fries came in a metal cone with a very small amount of fries. There wasn't any ketsup on our table and since our server left to get some A-1 sauce I decided to help myself by taking a bottle off another table. So I'm eating my fries while waiting for the A-1 when Miranda B. came back to check on us. I reminded her that I wanted A-1 for my burger. She came back with a small cup of watered down A-1. By then my fries were eaten and I had to ask her for a refill. This time she returned with a basket of fries. Then I had to ask her to refill my rootbeer float with more ice cream. Part 2 to follow

  65. Part2While we we eating we couldn't help but hear another family close to our table having the same problem with their RR Rewards card. Tony the manager gave her the same lame excuse and acted like this was an isolated incident knowing he had the same problem with us. Knowing it was my birthday they and the problems we were having, she didn't offer us a birthday ice cream Sundae, by then I had enough. We usually will tip 10% for minimal service, 15% for normal service and 20% plus for outstanding service. This night Miranda got a 10% tip. I dispise having to ask for every little thing. A good server will anticipate things like ketsup for your fries, A-1 for your steak or burger, extra napkins, refills on beverage and "bottomless fries". By not being "on the ball" she not only made extra trips/work for herself but made us feel like a burden. All servers want a 20% tip but are not willing to put forth the effort to deserve it. Put yourself in your customers shoes and your job will be much easier. Oh yes before I forget...I tried to fill out their customer survey but half way through I was timed out and had to begin all over. Typical of the type of service Red Robin wants to be noted for. Since reading the above posts I can only assume Corporate Management doesn't seem to care. I have a feeling Red Robin will go out of business just like their competitors have. Shame it wasn't always like this. The old system of sending out printable emails on your birthday worked so much better, less hassles for eveyone

While the food was great and appearance of restaurant was clean and in order your staff was a mess and left me feeling turned off about eating my food. I dont want my waitress to have a dirty uniform and hair that looked like she just crawled out of bed. The worst was when she was clawing at her scalp itching her head the rubbed her face right before bringing me my plate. On top of that the 10minute wait for a table was horrible because your hostess had a group of her friends hanging out at the hostess stand with her one girl in particular was highly under the influence and a mess. All in all the hiring process was done terribly and maybe needs to be looked at again.

  67. My husband and I have had great experiences with red Robin but today was the first time I ever had to walk out of a restaurant. We had waited almost an hour to receive our food and when we did it was cold. The waiter completely forgot about us and when I mentioned to him that our food was cold he did offer to get a new meal for us but I was not going to spend almost $35.00 for horrible service, cold food, and on top of it all as we were leaving we ran into the manager and we mentioned the service we had he says "so did you guys eat everything". He never apologized for the service never offered some sort of discount he never made us feel good about being there and as we were leaving her was apologizing to another customer. The waiters were nice but under that management no wonder what's horrible service is going on there. This was at location #2365 in Arcadia. As loyal customers I will go to that red Robin again

  68. I always thought of Red Robin as a family oriented restaurant, but after seeing your new commercial I am going to have to rethink my position. What kind of a commercial is that? Using foul language in front of small children is supposed to be funny? That's disgusting, and it's media like that that is contributing to the decline in our children's morality and respect for others. Shame on you, That was a very disappointing thing for you to do.

  70. To whom it may concern,
I am not normally one to make a complaint about a commercial for I think I have a very good sense of humor. However, in this case I will. I have been to your establishment numerous times with my wife and my kids. I thought that this is supposed to be a family restaurant and after seeing the last commercial where the lady covers the little girls ears then uncovers them and says a bleeped out cuss word, my wife and I our very disappointed in your marketing strategy. In NO way does that make me want to ever bring my family back in there. Especially how excited my kids get when I even mention the word of going to Red Robins house then having to explain to them what she said on your commercial. Again, I am one that is not easily offended but in this case I am extremely disappointed. Also FYI, my wife is in marketing and advertising and she says that is not the kind of attention you want to attract to your family oriented business. I hope this letter is taken into consideration when making your next commercial.

  78. I hope this comment gets the attention it deserves. The assistant manager in Collierville, TN, Jerry Wardlow, is MY hero and a tremendous asset to Red Robin. Let me explain. Tuesday night I was enjoying a hamburger and onion rings with my husband and friend when I began to choke and could not breath. My husband and another customer tried to help me without success. My friend called out for someone to call 911, which someone did.

The terrible thought in my mind was that I would not last long enough for the trained paramedics to help me. Words cannot express how extremely scared I was. I just retired and was looking forward to traveling with my husband and friends, spending quality time with my grandchildren and doing things I've never had time to enjoy. As these thoughts were going through my consciousness, I felt some behind me and suddenly realized, I was able to get a little air in my lungs and then in seconds I was able to breath.

Since Tuesday I have heard stories with fatal or bad endings. Again, I can't express my relief and profound gratitude to a young man who stepped up and performed the Heimlich and to my belief, saved my life. This young man was the assistant manager of Red Robin. When the paramedics arrived and checked me out everything was good. Although I gave Jerry many hugs and expressed my gratitude, I want to express to you that this young man is an impeccable employee and deserves more than I'm able to do for him. If Red Robin has any type of Bravo Zulu or award for going above and beyond, I would like to recommend that he receive this award. I will say it again Jerry is MY HERO. Please ensure he is given the accolades deserved.

Service was good, the burgers were good, but the sides left much to be desired. The humus platter was served with soggy chips, and the baby carrots were rubbery. The cold slaw was tasteless and the side of sweet potato fries was all shriveled up (like it had sat in the kitchen too long). I hope this is not representative of all your franchises because NYC is a tough market place with lots of good food choices.

We were going to go to Red Robin but changed our mind after a skinny black guy in what looked like a managers shirt threatened to beat me up in front of my family over the way I parked. There were also a few other employees out there smoking, One of them told me, "that's Phil, he's like that. Sorry" I'd hate to be working under him let alone have to confront him with a complaint about my food. NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY PLACE. 84. On 04/16/2014 while on the way back from radiation oncology, we decided to try Red Robin for lunch, 7050 Carpenter Rd, Skokie, IL 60077.(847) 674-7050 . My cancer journey started over 2 months ago so a friend of mine, being afraid I'd be lonely through this journey, sent me a Flat Stanley to be at my side always, and as you know you must photograph him everywhere. So, we're seated and the waitress comes over to take our drink order and she's me taking a pic of FS next to the Red Robin spice bottle on table, wanted everyone to know where he was :) As to not look like a fool I casually tell her Flat Stanley in my partner in fighting cancer and he goes everywhere with me. We order, I gad the greatest burger ever. Time to leave, I g to the restroom and when I come back my partner has a weird look on his face??? He said the manager came over and asked how everything was. Then the waitress gave him the check and the restaurant was picking up my check, their way of helping me fight cancer. I was stunned, emotional and thankful. Red Robin and staff, you made an incredible first impression, one that I shared with my many friends on FB. You guys paid it forward and now I will pay it forward. Thank you, Hal.

  85. Why is it that the servers get tips and the cooks do not. At other resterounts the cooks get an equal share of the tips. Not at Red Robin. The cooks have to do a lot more work then the servers. They have to prepare every thing. The server just takes the food to the table and takes the order. And the DMO has the hardest job of all. The gigantic mess that is left over by your 30 or 40 top ends up being handed to the DMO. You think that guy gets a tip? The answer of curse is no. Red Robin you need to tip your kitchen staff. And pay the servers better the they will be able share the tips equally. Thanks for nothing a cook at Red Robin.

  86. I read a remark about prices on Produce going up and I laugh because that is the excuse they all use to raise prices when this is not true. The Red Robin Contracts it's items just like all the other big Chains do so they know what every item cost is but they don't tell you that. The Red Robin Cry's how Produce prices go up and then they raise the Burger prices when they don't have to. Chains like Red Robin Buy Cheaper Produce to keep the cost of the Burgers down so they can make more Money. Next time you go in there notice how terrible there Tomatoes are but they want to blame the Produce when it's there Buyers who buy the worst and don't understand that the customer just wants the same Burger all the time at the same price and not have to here why they have to raise the price because Red Robin is not doing there Job Right? The customer doesn't go in to Red Robin and say I am working less hours can you lower my price, no they go in and pay what ever the price is and should get what they pay for and not have to here them complain why they have to put less lettuce or tomatoes because the price went up. As for me I stopped going to Red Robin with my family of 6 because I can see that there Quality has gone down and there prices have gone up and I can get a better Burger and experience some where else in my area. In California I think they will fade out unless they change there ways there is to many places to get a better Burger and for why less Prices and better Lettuce and Tomatoes.

My best friend and I decided to try red robin because I am gluten free and I noticed the gluten free menu offered. I walked in and the was seated after that the waitress came over took our order I ordered a soda and my best friend ordered a strawberry drink and I got a salad and my friend got a burger . We finally got our drinks after waiting a long but tolerable time with a bucket off all you can eat fries. Our drinks and fries had been done for a long time before the waiter came back to check but when she did my friend ordered another strawberry drink and I ordered another soda and we got more fries she came back to give us our stuff. We waited an hour and half for our food and never got it so I put 10$ to pay for my 2 sodas and the fries because besides that all I had was debit and I never saw our waitress again and my friend put down 20 for her 2 drinks and we left.....clearly we over paid and that useless waitress probably pocketed the money. I never saw our waitress or got my food not even a bill NOTHING!the worst part is everyone else that came in after us was served!

  88. Management must have changed at the Wilmington, NC. Red Robin location in Mayfaire. I have always enjoyed going there with my family, but our last two experiences were bad enough that I don't want to go again. I didn't bother with a review the first bad experience because it might have just been an 'off' night for them, and like I said...never had a bad experience there before. But last night I went there with my 2 year old son and the experience was awful from the start.

My 2 year old and I were taken to a very small table, but I don't like asking to be reseated because I've worked in restaurants before and know that they often seat according to sections, etc... So we both squeezed onto one side and were content (although the table was wobbly and I had to put the drink menu under one leg to keep it steady). To make a long story short, I asked for napkins halfway through out appetizer and didn't get them until halfway through the actual mean (someone other than our waitress brought the food and I assumed she was still on the way with them so I didn't re-ask the person bringing the food). The two napkins were dropped off quickly eventually (and I had a Bonzai burger...messy), so when she passed by again I asked for silverware (didn't notice we had none until my son started to eat his side salad). We didn't get silverware until we were finished with the meal. Literally. So my son ate his entire side salad soaked in ranch dressing with his hands. My iced tea sat empty from the appetizer on. No offer of refill, no 'How is everything', nothing.

So nothing but ice in my glass the entire visit, no napkins and no silverware even after asking for both. The only time we actually saw the waitress for longer than her rushing by the table was when I was clearly pissed off and asked her to please bring us the check. In her last ditch effort to still land a tip she says "Can I get you anything else?" when she drops off the check. A little too late. We had planned on ordering milkshakes and having a great night...but I just wanted to get out of there by that time. Oh, and important sidenote...it was 6:30 at night, the evening rush hadn't even begun so they weren't busy yet.

I'm a schmuck, so I still left 20%...but I also left a note on the back letting her know I generally tip 25-30% and that I wasn't happy (no tea, no napkins, no silverware, no service). So now when my son asks for Red Robin, I'm going to steer him in another direction.

  89. I just had lunch today Thursday May 15,2015. I have been a customer at Red Robn ever since the Ba Red Robin opened. My daughter was a hostess there, when she was 17 she is now 43. I have always enjoyed the service until today, the management is in need of revision, he did not seem to care about the customers. My sister who is 78 requested a crouisant for her sandwich for easier chewing, waiter did not inform het that it would be a dollar more. The service was very slow. The waiter was nice but as far as I could the manager had understaffed the resturan. He was completely out of it when it came to service. I had the worst experce I have ever had in a Red Robin.

  90. How sad in Exton Pennsylvania. On May 18th 2014 our experience just shows how Red Robin Customer service ,value ,and quality of food and experience continues to deteriorate. The manager Kenrick was abrupt arrogant and rude to start with. The food took over an hour to be served and was cold overcooked etc etc. If it weren't for our server Dylan (sp?) and the other manager Brian who tried to "save the day" we would certainly never return to our once favorite family restaurant. Inferior management and food together certainly does not constitute a good experience.

  91. Please for me and most of America get rid of Melanie Paxson ...she's so annoying. I just can't go to a restaurant with such an annoying spokesperson.

  92. As a parent and 4 time Grandparent and a member of National association of
Realtors, California Association of Realtors and Victor Valley Association of
Realtors, I am greatly disappointed in Red Robin's new "That's One Damn Great Burger" ad campaign. Red Robin is replicating a form of media that is intended to be vulgar and catchy, but it should be avoided if a company is concerned with its reputation as a "family friendly" Restaurant.

As a parent and Grandparent, I do not want my children and Grandchildren
repeating this slogan. Offensive ads like Red Robin's cause parents to lose
their respect for a restaurant that claims to be family-friendly.

As a consumer, I urge you to immediately discontinue "The D.G.B." marketing
campaign and any plans for future ads that include profanity and rename the
newest burger on the menu with a more decent option instead. My entire Family, My 2,000 member church and people I talk with
will now refuse to eat at Red Robin until the "DGB" Ad campaign is discontinued. I will wait till the end of June to see if this Ad campaign is discontinued before I send out a blast email to the National, State and local Real Estate Associations I am a member of. I Intend to aggressively campaign a Boycott against a company that continues to promote vulgarity to our children, they are exposed to too much as it is!

I look forward to hearing from you regarding my concern.

    Sincerely,

    Al Calvert

  93. I was at work bending over and a member of your staff grabbed the back of my head, and thrust his crotch right into me face repeatedly. REALLY? I have to work for you and get sexually assaulted in your restaurant? REALLY???? See you in court.

  94. I would really appreciate it if you could take the "to die for" commercial off the air. The woman cuts the pineapple top off with a machete and the machete goes flying through the air. It's so not funny with all of the problems in the Middle East and the journalist that was beheaded by Isis. I am sending a letter to your corporate offices to back up my appeal.

  95. I have been a fan of Red Robin for years. I enjoy both Issaquah and the Seattle locations.
I recently visited a franchise in Yakima, Nob hill location. My wife and I sat for a long while before a very nice but obviously over worked waitress took our order. We then waited in excess of 35 min. without any conversations about the delay or wait time. I was also disenchanted by the fact that others, seated after us were served their meals.

We left the restaurant without waiting any longer and visited an Artic circle and enjoyed a wonderful burger and fries that we received in roughly 10 min. That waitress actually thanked us for waiting. Huh! I hate tell you this but you actually ended up competing against an Artic circle and they out performed you in every aspect of customer service. What A SHAME. We were originally interested in a nice atmosphere but were equally pleased with our second choice for pleasant people doing a good job and really caring. Good luck.

  96. We recently dined at the Red Robin (RR) in Selinsgrove PA. I did not ask if there were smaller portions available. That was my mistake. My Whiskey River BBQ Chicken Salad was HUGE and I could not take it home due to the distance we had to travel. The food would have spoiled.

I suggest that RR provide on the printed menu the ability to order 1/2 portions. It is obnoxious that I had to waste food and I believe this reflects poorly on RR and upper management. They are not tuned in to the world at the proper frequency.

I also believe that RR is well on the way to pricing themselves out of reach of many Americans. Their revenue yields may be rising with higher price points but when there is no one inside eating, the rev numbers will speak for themselves.

Ordering a Whiskey River BBQ Chicken Sandwich for $9.99 plus tax and tip drives the base meal cost to $12.60 including sales tax and tip for server. Again, the price points are no longer sustainable for many Americans.

  97. The management at Red Robin in Greece, NY is horrible to their staff. They don't know how to run an operation or how to treat people. The first several months after the opening in January was great. After that it has gone downhill! The owners or people in charge need to come back in and talk to the staff! When they find out they are loosing money that will perk ears up.

  98. Hello. I want to start out by saying I very much enjoy Red Robin. That being said about 8 months ago I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. This means I now have an allergy to gluten. I went through many months of pain and digestion problems. I have been feeling better due to a strict gluten free diet and healthy lifestyle.
Last night I met a friend at Red Robin in Exeter Township. Our server was Diane. I ordered the Bruchetta Chicken on the gluten free bun, which is amazing, and gluten free garlic fries. My friend ordered a steak sandwich with the garlic fries. Our orders came out, my friend had her garlic fries, but I did not have mine. I just let it go and didn't say anything. She came back after a long time and asked if we wanted more fries. I said yes, can I please have my garlic fries and my friend said the same. She said I will just put them together in a big basket. I said I need mine to be gluten free. She's like oh that's right. Our fries came out very quickly which I thought was odd because I know mine need to be made fresh in the gluten free fryer. I ate them and was feeling ok. When I got home I got severely sick. A lot of stomach cramping and sharp pains. I did not choose this disease, it chose me. I do not want to cause trouble, but this is the second time I have had Diane as my server and I feel as though she is not educated on what gluten is and just brushed me off as if it was no big deal. I do not go out very often anymore because I feel as though I am a burden and I do not want to take the chance of getting sick. Celiac is an allergy like any other except it is a chronic disease. I do not blow up instantly into a bubble and can't breathe, but it does literally rip apart my digestive system and affect my muscles and joints. I am still feeling the affects today and I hope it will be better soon.

I do not think I will go to Red Robin again anytime soon. I was very disappointed.

  99. I currently am an employee of a Red Robin in Billings Montana however my last day will be next week. I have noticed over the last year of working there that the management treats their staff very poorly and shows no appreciation to them. The threats that are made to the employees are absolutely ridiculous. They threaten to fire people if they do not have doctors notes when they are sick, however not everyone can afford to go to the dr. I have chronic migraines and can not afford to go to the hospital every time I have one to get a doctors note. I do understand that people abuse being sick however not everyone does and I find it horrible that they would threaten to fire people constantly for that. They would rather you show up for work puking sick so that you can prove to them you are sick. I know if it were me i really do not want someone around my food who has been puking or running a fever. No thank you! I also had a recent death in the family and i needed to go out of town.....i called to let them know what was going on and was informed by one of the managers that there was a possibility I could be fired if I did not come to work. I was absolutely disgusted. This to me was completely out of line and i do not believe that is how a business should be run.
I think that it is horrible that the managers are getting away with this. I filed one complaint about a manager to our owner and nothing ever happened. Why is that? There is not accountability for how these managers are treating their employees. Its a revolving door of threats being made about getting shifts cut or getting fired and it has made it to where people are constantly walking on eggshells when they are at work. That is not how a place of employment should be by any means. I think that corporate should probably be taking a look at how this store is run. I have been told by guests that they will never come back, been told by friends and family they will never come back, and that is a very large problem. Managers need to be held accountable for their actions and not be allowed to degrade or treat any of their employees badly.
I hope that the corporate offices will be taking a look at this and do something about it. Like I stated before next week will be my last week and I can say that this is the one job that I look forward to leaving because of the poor treatment I have received.
