  2. For years your shoes were "the shoes to wear!" Everywhere you went in The Villages (FL) men and women wore them for all occasions, /Since you have changed to V2 and V3 everyone is complaining about the lack of support in these shoes. I am wearing my old 608 (original) shoes and hope they never wear out. What did you do to a perfect fitting shoe and turn them into rejects? The new shoe feels like I'm walking "flat-footed" (without support). We all loved wearing USA made product. Figure out what is wrong and go back to the original version!

  3. I usually wear 608 leather or an above number for my shoes.Last summer I tried a material pair that was gray and pink, I thought the number was comparable, the price was, but the workmanship definitely was not! Within a month, they were already breaking down. In a couple of months I could not even wear them, so I threw them out! I am so disgusted with New Balance. I either go back to wearing the old fashioned white leather or buy tennis shoes not made in the USA. please get you're act together. I can't afford shoes that I end up throwing away! I'd rather buy a product made in the USA but not if you can't make something I want. You may contact me at dptski73@sbcglobal.net

  4. I bought two pairs of your 1060s, then one or two of the 1062s, then came the 1064. As I wear custom orthotics, your shoes now are not orthotic friendly. I never threw out the older pairs, and have now revived them once I realized they were repairable with high-quality urethane caulks, even though I have a new pair 1064 just sitting in my closet that I can't wear. Maybe you could think about those of us who require custom orthotics in your designs. If you can't come up with something new, then maybe you could simply resurrect the 1060 or 1062. A flat surface on the bottom of a shoe shouldn't be too hard to manage to allow an orthotic to be used by the many of us who need them.

  8. New Balance is having some serious issues with width sizing. I bought a pair of size 7D runners a few years ago and just recently bought a pair, same size and they were 3/4" narrower. That's the difference between comfortable and my feet are in serious pain. Then I went to a store and tried on many pairs. Nothing in a D width fit at all, one in a regular width was wider than the D width. I know from comments on many different sites that I am not alone in this problem. Their customer service team refunded me, but they have lost me as a customer until they can get their stuff together here. I'm not impressed.

  9. I agree with the previous post that New Balance is having some serious issues with width sizing. They used to be my "go to" brand for women's NARROW trail and running shoes -- I mean, like for at least 30 years. Then, a few days ago, I tried to get my third pair of minimus trail shoes in narrow and found NONE. In fact, the entire line of trail and running shoes for narrow feet has become very limited and pretty stodgy. I wrote to Customer Care on 6/6. Here's the amazing 6/9 response (note that the 10v2 that the rep mentions is not offered in narrow sizes):

"Thanks for your recent New Balance inquiry. I am sorry that you are not able to locate the shoe. The woman's minimus line does not come in narrow. We still have the Minimus 10v2 Trail available on the website. I do want to thank you for your loyalty to New Balance.
Please contact us with any other questions or concerns."

  10. I purchased a pair of 476 in 2006. These are the best shoes I have ever worn. But it is time for me to get a new pair. I have looked everywhere and cannot find them. Can you tell me where I could buy another pair. I went to Kohl's store locally and they had none. However, they had a 476, but they were not the same 476 that I was looking for. I have searched online but cannot find them. Does anyone know where I can get these shoes?

  11. I bought a pair of walking shoes from J C Penney this summer. The soles came loose. I returned them to try and get them replaced. They said their policy was to refund a precentage based on months worn??? I have six pairs of New Balance shoes because my foot doctor recommended them after my foot surgery.I was a High School coach for over thirty years, I never heard of a shoe company that would not stand behind their product if it was defected. These shoes sole came off because of defected workmanship/glue These were 608s

    1. I agree about the soles....poor workmanship. We've had this happen to the last 2 pair of 608's The shoes were only worn to Dr. appts. and was never worn in water/rain conditions. The shoes were 60.00 a pair (on sale). If I wanted "CHEAP" shoes I would've gone to some Dollar Store outlet...QUIT making them so CHEAP!!! You're gonna lose alot of business...starting with ME and apparently most who are dissatisfied on your comment board.

  12. My wife bought me a pair of MX608V3H as a birthday present six months ago. They fit perfect when i opened and the recipt was thrown away. They are camo and i have worn them only on six occassions. The sole on the heel of the right show is comming off the shoe. I called customer service and they told me that because of not having "proof of purchase" all they can do is send me a gift card for New Balance Online for $30.00. Then the girl on the phone started to question me in regards to my care of the shoes. I was previously in the athletic footwear business and have seen this before as a defect. The fact that New Balance does not see this as a defect and want to replace the shoes is very disappointing. The gift card was an insult as the shoes cost over $100 and have only been worn six times and look brand new. I will just throw them away and no longer buy New Balance products unless there is another solution? you may contact me at thomasjkiv@aol.com

    Thanks

  13. I bought a pair of New Balance MT810 running shoes for my husband on Amazon.com at the end of August, 2014. Now, scarcely 3 months later, the soles are falling off - they have come clean away from the upper and are flapping free on the heel of both shoes. And this isn't because of overuse/poor care: they've been exposed to rain only once: I live in Southern California and yesterday's rain was the first since in 6 months. This is hardly a tough environment for running shoes, especially since my husband only wears them around the house and out for walks; he doesn't even use them for running. This is really shabby. Certainly not worth the $80 I paid for them. Less than 3 months wear. When I brought this to the attention of customer service I received a robo-reply, a template telling me to take it up with the store I bought the shoes from. Since I bought them online from Amazon I was able to do just that, and Amazon has excellent customer service. By contrast, New Balance has appallingly bad customer service and the company - at least its customer service department - seems totally indifferent to the problem of very bad quality. I see I'm not the first one to post along these lines here; others have encountered the same problem. New Balance cannot abuse its customer loyalty in this way and still expect us to stick around for more. This is the last pair of New Balance I'll ever buy.

  14. I've had both a knee and a hip replaced , and know many others in the same situation. We need a shoe which has twice the cushioning , virtually springs, as any shoe on the market. There would be a large market for a shoe like this as every day more and more people are getting replacements. My hope is that New Balance or another manufacturer will take on this challenge .

  16. Recently I purchase a pair of New Balance 770 V3 running shoes. I did so because thier website states that they are made in America. This is false. When I got them home I happen to look at the tounge and it states: "Made in China." I also have another pair of New Balance walking shoes that I use for yard work. Inside these it states: "Made from imported materials." But don't take my word for it here's the link to thier website where it clearly states...http://www.newbalance.com/made_in_usa.html So, if anyone still questions my complaint I have photo to prove it.

  17. What's happening with the cat urine smell??? NOTHING!!! It's apparently the consumer's fault because the shoes were "exposed to water." THEY'RE SHOES!!!

  18. Sir (New Balance),
I am 63 years old and not much of an athlete. I have a pair of your #608 shoes--which I like very much. However, please note the following: 1) evidently your thread gauge is too small and weak--the seams are breaking from the stress of...walking; 2) the lace holes through the leather portions of the shoe break through too easily; 3) your "corporate" e-mail contact does not work--I assume you are NOT interested in this defect report or improving your product; and 4) I won't be a return customer.

  19. A long-time walker, I ordered 2 pairs of walking shoes (NB1765v2 and NB877, both 9.5 D width) hoping one pair would fit. Alas, both pairs have a similar design flaw ... we wide-width folks need a wide toe-box and maybe space for a high instep which we can adjust with the shoelace ties. We do NOT need extra-wide space around the heels. My feet slid immediately to the front of both styles because there was no grip around the heels, way too wide. Perhaps there are customers who do not have this problem, but New Balance is not for me anymore.

  20. I purchased two pairs of Rockport ( I understand it belongs to New Balance) Pro Walkers. My complaint goes with all the others but seems minor. The laces are terrible. They come loose after just minutes. I am forever bending over to retie them. Poor quality. Also, when New Balance product were made in the USA I purchased them. It was my only running shoe for over 10 years. Long ago I stopped because of sizing and construction problems. Now what was a good product is not so. Now I will not purchase Rockport either!!!

  21. Over the years, I bought numerous pairs of WW811, women's slip-on athletic shoes as well as numerous pairs of the updated version WW812, women's slip-on shoes. Now, I'm discovering that the newer WW812SO version is becoming scarce and does not appear in shoe catalogs. P L E A S E MANUFACTURE ANOTHER UPDATED VERSION OF THIS SLIP-ON ATHLETIC SHOE IN THE NEAR FUTURE! DO YOU EVER PLAN ON MANUFACTURING THE SLIP-ON IN BLACK, AS WELL AS WHITE? Thank you!

  22. I've been wearing new balance for many years and will discontinue after this.I recently purchased a new pair of 857's and the tread on the bottom is still good, however the rubber strip on the bottom suddenly peeled off while playing racquetball. I took the shoes by the store and they offered to glue them (which they then said they were out of) or put duct tape around the shoe. I feel that for $125 this is an inadequate response. This will be my last pair of new balance shoes.

  23. I heard on the radio a commercial for New Balance that highly irritated me. There was an adult voice talking to a young boy about what he was wearing to school. The adult said are you wearing THAT ? and the boy walked off , his shoes squeaking and a crowd of kids laughing. The man asked another boy the same thing and the boy said he was wearing his New Balance shoes and the crowd cheered. In my mind this is too much like bullying. All children can't afford new New Balance shoes and don't need to be put down with laughter. They need to be built up no matter what they are wearing.. I think you need to pull this ad as it is not appropriate. Thank you.

  27. I HAVE NEW BALANCE 624 SNEAKERS IN 10 1/2 6E, THE INTERESTING THING IS THEY WERE TIGHTER ON THE RIGHT FOOT THEN THE LEFT FOOT FROM WHEN THEY WERE NEW. MY FEET GOT USED TO THEM. IN THE BEGINNING I ONLY WORE THEM INSIDE THE HOUSE, WHEN I STARTED WEARING THEM OUTSIDE I STARTED TO NOTICE THE INSIDE CUSHIONING INSIDE THE SHOES ON BOTH FEET ARE WORN OUT IN THE BACK OF THE SHOE AND BY THE RIGHT PART OF THE HEEL AND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE INSIDE OF THE RIGHT FOOT. I ALSO NOTICED THE RUBBER SOLES ON BOTH SHOES ARE STARTING TO SEPARATE. THE CUSHIONING ON THE LEFT SHOE IS ALSO WORN OUT INSIDE THE SHOE. BY THE RIGHT LEFT SIDE OF THE SHOE AND NEAR THE LEFT PART OF THE HEEL ON MY LEFT FOOT.

MY FEET ALSO OCCASSIONALLY HURT. THESE SHOES WERE MADE IN INDONESIA AND WERE A REPLACEMENT PAIR SENT TO ME FOR PREVIOUS DEFECTIVE SHOES RETURNED TO THEM. EVIDENTLY THE DURABILITY IS JUST NOT THERE.

  28. I was charged $120(sale price)for a pair of women's rush VAZEE sneaker which retails at $89.99 now marked down to $79.99 on your website, just this past week. After checking other online prices, these prices are also considerably less. On the receipt, it is stamped ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS REFUNDS OR CREDIT ...this was of course tucked into the shoe box. A retail store should never be permitted to increase the retail value of a New Balance shoe this dramatically.

  32. I just want to extend my thoughts to you as a 'Made in America' company. You are one of the reasons our country is great because you provide Americans with jobs and a terrific shoe. It is based on this reason that I have been a loyal customer of yours for years and will continue to be a loyal customer. Politics over the years have made it difficult for many American companies to thrive here in the states. You have despite these difficult restrictions remained loyal to the American citizens by keeping production here in the states. I agree with you that the Trump policies will again make it productive for companies to operate here. These policies will help strengthen the American job force and the American company. It upsets me though that there are citizens in this great country that decided to go against you based on your agreement and the fact that a hate group endorsed you. You cannot control who endorses you. Do citizens go against Calvin Klein or Mickey Mouse because gangs use their symbols to promote their gangs? It is my opinion that the main stream media is trying to make this a news story where there is no news story. They should be reporting on how to combat the gangs in Chicago and reduce the death rate there. The main stream media would make it seem that there is a mass group denouncing your company due to the above but it is my belief that it is a small minority of individuals. This last election should encourage you to the fact that most Americans are behind you. Most Americans are tired of the main stream media and their biased opinion-only based news stories. You just worry about producing those great shoes and I guarantee Americans will continue to buy them. Thank you for continuing to make American GREAT and eventually even GREATER.

  34. I agree with Keith. and I do not believe that the people who are "crying" about you saying you support some of Trump's policies even buy your shoes. There are allot of comfortable sneakers out there, but I buy your shoes not only because they are comfortable. I buy your shoes because you assemble them in America. I am going to go out on a limb and say most of these far left liberals do not think or care about this fact.
