  1. I hear about this Trader Joes all the time. When is Trader Joes coming to South Florida?

  2. National grocery chain Trader Joe's is voluntarily recalling peanut butter that has been linked to 29 salmonella cases in 18 states.
"Out of an abundance of caution, we have removed all Trader Joe's Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter from sale, due to pending health-related inquiries," Trader Joe's said in a statement.
An investigation by the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control determined the peanut butter was the likely source of the outbreak. Officials from the FDA and CDC briefed Trader Joe's on Thursday, prompting the grocer to voluntarily recall the product, the FDA said in a statement issued Saturday.
The list of states that reported the illnesses was not released, but the state health departments in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and North Carolina reported cases, according to The Associated Press.
Anyone with the product is encouraged to either return it to Trader Joe's for a full refund or dispose of it.
Salmonella causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain 12 to 72 hours after infection. Young children, the elderly and people with weak immune systems are most at risk to developing severe infections.

  3. Dear Administration, May 2, 2013
My name is L Jay Baker. You can find me all over the internet: Face Book, You Tube, My Space, Net Log, Twitter and many more well-known websites. I have just come back to Santa Barbara after traveling 13 States here in the USA… Feeding the poor and making a Movie-Documentary on “HOW THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE SURVIVING WHILE LIVING ON THE STREETS?”
Now that you know who I am; and here is the reason I am addressing you with a major Complaint against one of your Managers, location 5767 Calle Real, Santa Barbara, CA.
On the date April 29, 2013 while visiting the City of Goleta, Ca. I was parked at the FedEx Building next to the Trader Joe’s Store. I had been using my Computer while writing a chapter in my Book. Somehow through my excitement of the Adventure, I had not started my vehicle to charge the battery and it would not give me enough power to do so? This was around 2:30 am Monday morning. My cell phone had not been used in a while and its battery was died also, or I would have called a tow truck, or someone to assist me with my problem. I waited around for 1 hour, hoping for a police officer or someone to come to my rescue. Well, someone pulled up in a Big Black Hummer truck Lic. Plate 6HJL720 at around 3:43 a.m. I thought to myself, thank God I can get my truck started and be on my way again doing Good Things for this Country… But, that was not the case! As the Gentleman stepped out of his big powerful 4 x 4 vehicle, he acted like he did not see me there. I spoke out is a cool, calm voice as he was walking toward me to go over to the Trader Joe’s Building. I asked, “Could you spare a few minutes to give me a jump for my truck my battery is died?” Your Employee, looked me straight in the eyes with hatred and said with a angry tone on his voice, “NO!” and walk on by me like I was dirt and he would have stepped on me to get to the other side of the parking lot! I thought to myself about what just happened, as the Individual walked over to the front of the store, unlocked the door and went inside… I knew that this person was not happy with his job or anyone around him. He was very rude and showed no signs of humanity or toward anyone’s concern.
The past year I had spent 186 days traveling throughout this Nation, and if you have employee’s hired in your stores that can’t give a person 3 minutes of their time in an emergency situation, then your People, who are hiring for you should look for another job, because they know nothing about human behavior!
I sat in that parking lot for another 2 hours and several other employees of yours showed up and denied to help me with a jump. Their excuses were… “If I am late my Boss will kill me!”
Someday when my traveling is done, my Movie is made, my Book is published and I have millions of dollars to purchase Gift Certificates for the poor people? I may reflect back on your employees and think about going elsewhere to avoid shopping in such an evil Environment???
    Respectfully, L Jay Baker
