  1. You people do not take customer complaints very seriously...do you? I submitted a complaint about one of your stores employees man handling my child in a VERY unprofessional sexual fashion. My complaint was ignored. What kind of business do you people run?
    SICKENING.

    1. Yes I agree with you also Goodwill Industries are getting very greedy of the public. and yet all the donations come from the public. you give them your money it don't fit you can't get your money back. they only will give you store credit for 3 days, it's our money. and when things go wrong like that we are in the right to get our money back. so sad they can keep their stuff I'm not going to go to them anymore and I'm not going to even be giving any donations to them people give to the Salvation Army they're the real ones that help the public out Whitlow and reasonable prices.

    2. This is my biggest issue. Often I go to goodwill for clothes for work because I can not often afford the better brands for work. I notice that most of those better items are gone. Where goodwill was once a place where I was able to furnish myself and home on my personal budget, it is now a joke.

I have found many items priced higher at goodwill than in a store. I am a bargain shopper, and I watch prices everywhere.

I say we take pictures of all of the ridiculous pricing and upload them all over social media with the hashtag #goodwillshame

  6. I am from Vero Beach Fl. & have been a reg. customer of goodwill along with my mom for many years.I am disappointed with the goodwill these days. The price raise & your return policy. I returned some items to the store & they told me I couldnt get a credit to come back later that I had to trade it out then.It had been 3 days. I spent 2 hrs. & couldnt find anything. Every time I go to the stores people are complaining. One lady told me she comes in once a week to get her weekly laugh at the pricing. Everyone was complaining at the register when the cashier was asking every customer if they would like to make a donation. One lady told her I am donating now by shopping here. I know you are losing a lot of business as people have told me they were going to start giving their business & donations to other thrift stores as I will do the same. It just sucks that when I buy my husband pants to get them home & they dont fit because a lot of times they have been altered. And not to get a credit to spend later is just NOT right. I buy stuff for my children, grandchildren, brothers, mom, etc. etc. I will now support the Salvation Army & Hospice.

  7. I was ordering a guitar online and the shipping weight was around 10 lbs and the total cost wasn't but 28.00 but the next day they added the shipping weight to 48 lbs after the sale. It came up to a total of almost 50.00. It was an out of state purchase and I called them anyway. I told them that it is a good thing I caught it and what they done is against the law to add shipping weight or purchase fee's after the sell of any item and besides I can buy that cheep guitar at any pawn shop for that price or under. The fellow that done it had the nerve to ask me do I still want it. Now who's the idiot here. BBB should investigate that because how many people across the USA have bought online to later find out they stuck you with an illegal ad on to the shipping of any item and it's on your credit or debit card. Good way to make you pay on overages. It's against the law and has always been.

  8. I went to local Goodwill store in Houma, LA today. I tried to purchase 13 glasses but the casher Ms Lolita refused to wrap the glasses with paper. Instead she brought a 4' x 3" x 2' box and begin to put them in. I said that they would break in such a large box unprotected and said if she was too busy I would wrap them myself. She told me rudly that if she had paper she wouldn't have got the box. I pointed to a large stack of paper under the next counter and asked what about that? She rudely told me she wasn't aloud to use that and that if I didn't want them in the box to carry them. I asked for a bag instead telling her I did not have room for the large box. She then screamed at me, that she was very busy and and not have time to argue with me. I never raised my voice mind you. I then just told her to keep them and to refund my money. I had to threaten to call the cops to get my money back from them. I have never been treated like that a Garage sale let alone a supposedly professional business. I hope the main offices reads all these complaints before all the money that customers like us spend to help their cause dries up. I know I will NEVER shop there again.

Went to a good will store on kanolehua ave.in hilo hawaii. and I found a blouse that I want it, I tried it on and noticed there was a rip. then I a then I said she got the nervesk the cashier if I could get a discount on it which the price was3.99$. she said no I can't but I said its thorn. she said no I can't do that. I think I speak to a manager she said I am the manager. then I said when are you going to do it are you going to throw it away she said no she's going to put it back on the rack. she was rude because everything is donated people donate to make other people happy by spending less. I'm not going to go back to that store again because goodwill supposed to be helping the public. not being sassy about it. I'm not going to go shopping at that store anymore. their employees seem to forget where they came from. that's why they're working there because there in the first to work program. I think I'll just stick wit Salvation Army.. because Goodwill Industries sell ripped and torn clothes. very sad

I look at her & ask "Why?" She responds with "Because you look like you could afford $20". Who the fuck are you to be racially profiling me, bitch? I make $8/hr just like you! Just bc I'm in a rich part of town, doesn't mean I'm a rich snob like the rest of them. Not happy. Not at all. I'm gonna warn fb of that store!

  15. Goodwill 8 Joyce St, New Rochelle NY. I as well as many customers have stopped shopping there. People shop at thrift stores for a good deal and affordable clothing and home items. The manager, Elly, prices as though she was pricing for Lord & Taylor. Ripped old coats an jackets at $79.99, chipped mugs 6.99, old stained blouses 14.99, old worn shoes 39.99! Very disappointing.

  17. I am FURIOUS! I just left the Goodwill on 3516 Shelby Ray Court Charleston, SC. Me and my two kids were in the kids area going through the clothes. I told my daughter they need to get over here and clean up this area. Five minutes later a male employee came through snatching clothes off the floor from under the racks, almost knocking me over. I told my son to help the man pick up the clothes. Moments later, I saw the male employee go up to the counter, gets on the intercom and said 'who ever is over there in the children's department putting clothes on the floor needs to stop. I heard the female behind the counter laugh. I then went to the counter and asked the young lady 'where was the Manager?' The young lady replied that was him on the intercom. I asked her what was his name she said 'Lee". Then I asked for his Boss, she then said 'she is gone for the day, here name is Shaletta and she will be here in the morning. Lee then said, that's right call her. I donate to much to this Goodwill to be treated like this and I purchase items as well. That was an insult for Lee to get on the intercom and say that, when the kid's area was already in a mess. I will contact Shaletta in the morning. I have been in retail as a manager, Lee would have been terminated....

  21. Who decided to change the rewards card to an app only system? I don't have a fancy phone nor do I intend to upgrade my phone just so I can shop at Goodwill. Could you possibly add a way to enter the order number on a personal computer? Even people that don't have computers can at least go to the library and enter their order number.
Last year the Goodwill Store in Savannah GA on Sallie Mood Drive decided to no longer separate the clothes by sizes, just by color. Today I went to the Goodwill in Pooler GA and they have done the same thing. I can't spend all day going through every article of clothing in either of these stores. Who goes into any store and shops by color? Everyone I know finds there size and THEN decides what color and style they want to buy. These are very poor decisions and I will NOT waste my time in either of these store just to locate my size.

  22. I will agree with most of these persons complaints. Some strange things are going on at Goodwill stores. Maybe you should check some of your employees without the knowing, and or should i say some of your stores. I believe the best items are not being available for the public. I go often and have really been paying attention. This one store is selling items at an outrageous price. I asked one worker there and she said the girls there had went together and bought some stuff to sell in the store to help out. Well who are they helping out, their own pockets. Check some stores around the north-western part of wv. you will be shocked.

  23. I went to the Goodwill on Yelm Highway here in Olympia, WA on September 6th 2015 to buy my children some school clothes cause I am a single mom and can't afford much. I work later in the evening so by the time we got there the dressing rooms were closed. I bought our selections and went home. My kids tried on the clothes and three items didn't fit so I set them aside for a return. On September 18th 2015 I had some extra time so I took the clothes that had the tags still on them and I had my receipt. They wouldn't give me store credit cause I went past the seven day return policy. Seriously!? They get there merchandise for free and I just wanted to exchange for other clothes. I don't understand why customer service is so horrible now. They could have made an exception to accommodate (me) the customer. All I can say is lesson learned. Goodwill is not as should be and they should be boycotted.

  24. So I was at Goodwill Montebello, CA making a donation the employee that works there comes out and starts getting the boxes that are there and throwing them toward the door. What a waste, you donate things only to find out that they just got thrown across the lot. The contents of the boxes are probably now broken. Need to stop donating here. Not to mention that this store sells knock off handbags which is illegal. The price on these handbags are outrageous they run $100 and up. They sell way to many knock offs for them to have been donated, these are bought by the owners.

  25. I was a customer of Goodwill for many years. The management of the Goodwill Outlet Store in Salem, Virginia accused me of a criminal act. I have emailed three different people at Goodwill Industries in an effort to resolve this issue and have received no response. I do not believe that Goodwill appreciates it's customers. My family and friends no longer shop at ANY Goodwill stores nor do we donate goods to them. Most areas of the country have Salvation Army and YMCA Thrift Shops. If you enjoy shopping at thrift stores I would suggest these as an alternative.

  26. I would like to filed a complaint about incident that took place on Saturday February 6th at store number 22 (1211 Alverser Drive Midlothian, Va 23113 (Store Manager Mike.
During the time of my visit, I over hear two of the employees (Jocelyn and Mercedes) talking about one of the coworkers (Chris) of how he was working inside of the store. I am not sure if Jocelyn was the supervisor on duty but she had a very terrible attitude toward the customers inside of the store. She pushing the cart around store without saying excuse me, poor customer service. It looks like she was picking on Chris making him do a lot more of work then the other employees in store. This store doesn’t show any team player especially Jocelyn. This store needs more training on customer service. If she is the team leader, she needs more training too. No one should has to work in a drama environment. This store needs some actions..

  27. I went into Goodwill yesterday and purchased a few items well the first time what items that I did not purchase are on my bill because people are stealing Goodwill in Lavale Maryland on National Highway.. 5 dollars and that's just from me I don't know how to get ahold of somebody because the phones are ridiculous so if that's $5 from me how many how much from other people I tried to speak to a manager and she doesn't know when she'll be back I am in there with my child so I guess since I wasn't paying attention she thought I was an easy target go to steal from a single mom is just appalling these people can live with themselves THEIVES

  28. The stores across the mid Michigan area are out of control. The prices are ridiculous and so are the people that work there. Dewitt MI Lansing MI Mount Pleasant MI Mason MI are stores that I used to frequently shopped until the last 6 months. The store in Dewitt: Prices OUT OF CONTROL I can buy brand new items for cheaper then what this store sells them for. Not to mention I was told by a cashier today that I couldn't make my purchase because he didn't have change for 100$ when I spend almost 50$ in there, this will be the last time I shop goodwill! Store in Mason: I literately watched a sales associate walk up to a rack that was just brought to the floor take all the Victoria Secrets stuff off the rack then shove it under her cashier counter. She did this right in front of me and other customer's. I have been treated terribly more then once at these locations and I used to spend a lot of money in these stores I Have taken my business to Salvation Army, there employees might not be the nicest but at least their prices are under control along with their staff.

  29. i would like to make a complaint to you as i did to your standard website and they did nothing about my problem. 3 years ago i went to your location 37244 groesbeck hwy. i was sick that day and had a sudden diarea problem.I also have severe stomach problems that i've had since i was a teenager. i quickly got a salemen for the key. i was in there for 3 minutes and a customer starts yelling at me to get out of the bathroom. i tell her politely i'm pooping i can't just get up and get out. 2 minutes later a man who later said he was the primary manager for the store. violent yells at me to leave the bathroom now. i tell him the same as i told the lady. he says no you need to get out now and starts pounding at the door. i am getting more upset in my tone. i am very sick i have medical stomach issues i can't just leave. he continues to yell sounding more and more threatening to me. and then he says if i don't get out he's coming in there to drag me out. i violently wipe trying to just get out of the situation. just as i finish he unlocks the door barges in and tells me that i need to get the hell out of his store right now. i'm from northern michigan and i have never been so embaressed and angry at the same time in my entire life. this senerio has played over and over in my head again and again for years. he was a medium built mucular black man and about 6ft with shoulder length dredd locks incase he is still working there. i finally have the strength to put this to your attention after i confided in a counselor in this subject. this was one of the main reasons i no longer reside downstate and that i haven't stepped in any of your stores since. i had $200 worth of merchandise my fiance at the time had picked out that day that we left. i don't know if there is anything that can be done policy wise or whatever that can stop this from happening again, but it needs to. this situation has effected my attitude towards life and trust in people.

  30. I donated clothes and furniture back in December 2015 and was given a 20 percent off coupon when I told him it was expired he crossed out the date and wrote a number on it. I went to goodwill today to use that coupon and the cashier told me I had to use it at the store where I gave the donation when I told it was this store she told me it was expired and they wouldn't take it. She called the manager on duty who also said the same thing I left the clothes on the counter and the cashier was laughing as I was leaving. WILL NOT RETURN OR DONATE TO GOODWILL EVER AGAIN.

  31. This review is for your store in Golden, CO. The employees here are completely rude and always look miserable. Forget about asking for any type of help because the time I did no only did the boy snap at me but he spoke to me as if I were an idiot like how dare I ask a question I should have just known. The manager there however is very kind and helpful and my husband and I let the situation go due to her apologies and genuine way of handling things. However today I went back to the store like I do every week to check out the sales and as I was shopping I received a phone from my husband needing a ride so I politely asked the Male cashier at the front of the store if I could leave my basket full of items that I was going to purchase at the front and I would be back to finish my shopping and pay for my things and HE said ok. Well I have a four month old son and sometimes emergencies happen so I was unable to go immediately back to the store due to my son throwing up and having diarrhea. So I take him home and get him situated and sent my husband up to the store to retrieve my things and he was greeted by a rude woman User #77835 saying that they would not give him the things I had wanted to buy that I was suppose to have been back within the hour I had left so to bad. First of all I never gave them a time I was going to be back I specifically said I'm going to pick up my husband and I would be back well going to get him and coming straight back first of all would have been an hour and a half any way so I feel if they had a time limit on how long they could hold things I don't understand why I wasn't told before I left because then I would have just politely said I'm sorry and that I was unable to purchase the items that I needed to leave and I would have been done with it. So the point to this whole story is that the employees are incredibly rude and seem not to care. Most employees seem to hate their job to the point of taking it out on customers so the energy of the store is terrible. It's not very organized which of coarse it's a thrift shop I realize but it just seems very trashy and it looks like items are just thrown where ever. So due to all of this I am unwilling to pay the higher prices they feel their things are worth. Until I hear that these things are fixed my family, friends and I will be driving past Goodwill and driving the extra 10 miles to Arch who have friendly welcoming staff a bigger selection of better more well taken care of items and a calm welcoming shopping environment. Thank you and I'm sorry this was so long but it was needed to be said.
