  1. I own a 2005 Jeep Liberty (my second Jeep Liberty as I LOVE this vehicle)BUT I don't love the problem with the windows. Please respond! My case number is My name is Debbie Garrels My phone is I have replaced the lever arm in THREE out of four of my Jeep Liberty windows at a cost of $200+ per window. I'm asking that Jeep pay for all three windows as there is obviously a problem with the lever arm and even the dealership admits this problem. I have receipts for all three windows, I don't plan to let this go, I've contacted my TV stations in AZ, I have business cards which I place on all Jeep Libertys I see in AZ alerting them of this problem, I have a POSTER on my Jeep alerting others to this problem. I want to see Jeep take responsibility for this problem and stand behind their product. I love my Jeep and plan to pass it down to my son. I want to be able to say that Jeep takes care of their customers. Please respond.

    1. Hello I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty with the same problem the windows. I already had 1 fixed about a year ago. told them about the drivers side not working now the passenger side just broke my local dealership wont do anything about it they told me that it is out of warranty they wouldnt even give me a phone number for jeep to call and complain. it sounds to me that there is alot of window problems they need to do a recall. good luck

    2. I am in the same situation as the two people above. I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty and have had to have three of the four windows replaced. Now I noticed that the fourth window is starting to do the same thing. I have had to pay out of pocket and I feel that Jeep should take some type of responsibility. After all, I plan on keeping my vehicle and maybe buy a new one some day but not with this problem. That is a total of approximately $600.00 that I had to pay. A recall should be done.

    3. Well, I was looking for the address to file a complaint about the same window problem - 2007 liberty two of my window motors were replaced now the third has gone down and the dealership said I had to pay out of pocket, I then called a customer service # and they said due to the age of the vehicle it is no longer covered by the recall. Well, I've been a jeep owner since 1993 - always Grand Cherokees, then decided to go smaller, big mistake - I will never buy another Jeep product again. If a company will not back their product, especially when they know there's a ongoing problem, then I will not be doing business with that company.

    5. OMG... I have had my windows repaired 6 times in less than 6 years. I bought my 2007 Liberty at the end of 2008, and before it rolled off the lot my fronr driver side window was not aligned and coming up on an angle. I was ensured it would be repaired and that would resolve my issue. That was a big fat lie.... 6 repairs later, 2 of which have cost me $700 i am trying to get reimbursed and their dismissive attitude is offensive. I asked at the dealership when i purchased my Jeep if this was a know problem and was reassured it was not. Now Chrysler acts as if i bought my Jeep with monopoly money. One of my repairs was during the warranty period and they still are trying not to reimburse me. I am not having that. I will get a lawyer if i have to.

    6. I have the same issue with my window. It is the one behind the driver. This is the second time in two years that it has stoped working. What is weird is that when I had it fixed two years ago, the window has not been used since. I was parked in a driveway at a friends house. All four windows were up. When I came out to leave the window was down. It feel down on it's own. This is faulty merchandise and nobody should have to pay for a problem that is becauce of faulty equipment. Jeep needs to stand behind its product regardless of the age of the car. The consumer should not have to pay for this. I intend on contacting my Congress person. I need to be re-imbursed the $400.00 that it took to make the repair. Nobody should have to put up with this.
I will never but another Jeep again!

  2. I wish you luck Debbie. I own a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee and bought it in 2009 and I have to replace the transmission already and yet the service department still can't locate the problem. After months of searching for the perfect vehicle, obvioulsy, Jeep isn't the one. I will not recommend Jeep or Chrylser to any of my friends or no one for that matter.

  3. I really wish that Jeep would bring back the Cherokee Sport. The Liberty is not even close to being a Sport. If that vehicle was brought back I would probably cry tears of joy. If they do bring it back; don't slant the front end like you did in Japan's 2500. Make it tough, with good clearance and a strong motor. The Cherokee sport was the baddest SUV besides the wrangler! I don't mean to be negative Nancy hear, but seriously? What is going on with the new models? They all look like high glamour with low clearance and a big fat belly. If you want someone who is a true Jeep lover to come in and help with the design I'll do it for free.

  4. I have a 2011 Rubicon with the nav package. I installed a lift and bigger tires. Now naturally I realize this would cause the speedometer to be inaccurate. What I didn't realize was that the GPS would also be inaccurate. It appears to me that the GPS is linked to the speedomoeter somehow instead of like every other portable GPS unit out there that shows speeds based on satellites.

I recieved a speeding ticket because of this issue. I thought I was doing 106 (in a 100 zone) and the cop said I was doing 123. "It is probably because of the bigger tires" (I have 37" tires compared to the stock 32"). I don't think this is right.

It should be assumed that a Rubicon owner is going to put larger tires on the vehicle. Regardless of that, in general, why is the speedometer linked to the GPS? That doesn't make any sense.

As it's a 2011, I'm unable to attach any sort of tuner device to be able to change the settings on the computer due to the new OBD lock brought to us in whole by Jeep.

So essentially my argument is this, Jeep linked the GPS to the speedometer of a vehicle which 8/10 times will be modified and at the same time disallowed the ability to fix the problem by putting an OBD lock on. Way to go on that one Engineers. Surely someone there wasn't quite thinking. I myself am an engineer and this saddens me that the common sense factor was not used for this detail. The only way I can fix this is to spend $1000 for an after market ECM which I'm not about to pay because I can't quite afford that. That's almost as much as I paid for my lift kit AND 5x 37" tires combined.

  5. Same problem here with the 2006 Liberty window regulator. At $200+ to fix each time they go out is is frustrating that Jeep isn't doing anything. Not even offering a re-engineered part to fix the problem. I am on the 4th window repair right now. Bottom line is simple. No product support from jeep equals me buying a Toyota or any other brand soon. Too bad they can't help a customer out. Hopefully they have quit putting such cheeap parts in the vehicles.

  6. I, like so many Liberty owners have issues with the window regulators. I have a 2006 and am about to repair the windows for the 4th time. Too bad Jeep decides it is ok to sell vehicles with such cheap parts. Why hasn't jeep at least upgraded and re-engineered this defective part ? ? ? There are some other options out there to repair this defective cheap jeep part but it still costs $200+. Since I have had zero product backing from jeep it has led me to look at Toyotas and other brands for my next purchase which will be happening by year end.

  7. Own a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited. Was informed this morning that a value broke off and is in the engine. To repair this it would cost over $5000 for a new engine. Was there a defect (unbeknownst to anyone) with this year's engine. Not only did this occur, this engine type burns alot of oil. This make and model also is a gas gussler. Other than these issues, I loved this vehicle. I have a call into Corporate to see how they can help me. (I am the second owner to this vehicle). Funny though I own a 1985 Jeep which NEVER had a problem like I am facing today! They surely don't make cars like they used to.

The display is telling me my transmission is over heated even though it hasn't been driven. I have talked to many owners of the same vehicle and they also have the same problem. This including my insurance agent. Having it towed today the tow company said they pick up A LOT of these due to the same issue. It is my goal to go public with this issue and hopefully corporate will get this issue reslolved!

  11. SOUTH OAK DODGE/JEEP MATTESON ILLINOIS
I had been talking to MIKE P for 4 days and had pics of a 2012 Jeep unlimted. A planned weekend test drive was scheduled however, our Friday night opened up and we decided to take the hour+ drive (1 way!) to South Oak. I had called MIKE P twice and he was well aware that we were on our way. Upon our arrival at South Oak, MIKE P told h=me that the auto was "JUST SOLD." MIKE P then said he had found some "DEALS" for us. Funny how the vehicle was "just sold" and MIKE P was able to "find some deals for us" but not a phone to call us and prevent the 2+ hours round trip on a Friday night.
And the "JUST SOLD" happened the previous day--how inconsiderate not to tell me when I spoke to you--twice!

    The dealership claims:

We understand your life is very busy and you do not have time to play games with your car dealer. Therefore, we are ready to work extremely hard to make your purchasing experience, not only quick and convenient, but also hassle free and fun! We are always here to provide any information you may need to purchase the right vehicle for you.

Really?? convenience, no games, hassle free??? I don't think so. How unprofessional of you MIKE P to play those games!

  14. Why is the dealership service so costly? Chrysler Jeep would do well to break away from this game. Chrysler Jeep would sell 5X the amount of vehicles they currently sell if they would offer reasonable prices on labor and service. A 30,000 mile Service cost $1066.31 in California. It is basically an oil change and spark plugs. The other points on the service are cursury checks. All the American car makers could make a bold move in this arena and we would see sales of American cars soar.

  19. Jeeps don't seem to be the quality vehicle that they use to be. I've owned a Cherokee Sport, the regulator went on the drive side window. I duct taped it and made do.It only had 140,000 miles on it when the engine just quit. I traded it for a Grand Cherokee Limited in 2008 and since that time, I've had to replace 2 window regulators in a three week time frame and 3 tire sensors with the warning indicator now saying another one is bad. I just spoke with someone at Jeep and she said the reason there has been no recall is that we are all complaining to the wrong people. The place to call is "The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration" # 1-888-327-4236 So start calling.

  20. The windshield washer nozzle on the Wrangler is now a non-adjustable part. When standing still or a low speeds, it works fine. At highway speeds, however, the fluid stream is pushed too high by the upward air-flow hitting the windshield. Most of the fluid shoots uselessly over the top of the vehicle. I wish the design engineers would simply try driving a Wrangler at a normal highway speed and try the windshield washer. I am sure they will experience the same problem. It's a problem which on earlier Jeep models was easy to fix, since the nozzle was adjustable. If the fluid is aimed too low while stopped and at low speeds, it's not a problem, since the wipers can move the fluid higher. That doesn't work with the aim too high. I hope that this problem is fixed in future models and that customers will be able to buy replacement nozzles which are adjustable. Thank you.

    3. I couldn't agree more. I purchased a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited spent over 40K on the car and after one year it has been in and out of the shop over two months worth of issues. First it was cylinder heads that needed to be replaced on a brand new car, then all hell broke loose. Engine light would come on, gas sensor not functioning, then to top it all off, one day when i went to pick up my car I noticed a sloshing water sound so i took it back and they said oh yea we found a crack in one of the seams. My car has been the biggest nightmare ever and the worse part about it is the Chrysler Jeep Customer experience. Any corporate person just jerks you around. I am now stuck with this piece of crap car. I have been in a rental for over a month now because service has pulled out the entire dash, the carpeting all the wiring (which was all damaged by all the water that got into the frame and carriage of the car) and after having an appt with some regional chrysler rep scheduled for this week, she calls the service dept and reschedules with them for October, almost a month away and NEVER calls ME the CUSTOMER. Chrysler has an absolutely horrible customer service ethic. Some VP somewhere in the company needs to get out of the office and open their eyes to what is really going on in the company.

    1. I have a Jeep Patriot, 2013, and it loses power while driving. Imagine my surprise when this happened the first time doing 70 mph on the highway and suddenly I feel a deceleration and I can't get my speed past 20 mph. By the grace of God, I was able to get over to the shoulder and turn it off. After sitting there for about 15 minutes, I decided to turn it back on and give a shot. That seemed to work, but the problem has only gotten worse. I don't push this vehicle past 65 mph any longer, but when it's warm out, 65 degrees, this problem still occurs. This vehicle needs to be recalled and I'm certainly glad that I took that number down for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. I plan on calling them to let them know about this problem as it could very easily cause an accident, especially with drivers who lack experience. How'd you like to get a call that, God forbid, you're child was in an accident because he/she lost power while driving on a major freeway. This isn't the only problem I've had with this vehicle either. There seems to be an electrical problem as well. Also, my mechanic told me I need a new catalytic converter and the gasket where the oil pan sits is shot. I had a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I sold, really cheap, to a dear friend who needed a vehicle. It's still on the road. Hey Jeep, what happened to the quality of your vehicles? My mechanic, very honest and quite reasonable, tells me it's not just the Patriot, but it's also the Liberty that was built like garbage. I would never again recommend buying a Jeep to anyone, ever!!! This vehicle needs to be recalled, immediately!!! Hey Jeep, do the right thng. By the way, another Patriot owner was having the same problem with losing power that I just wrote about above and when she took it to the dealership she was told that this vehicle wasn't meant for long journeys. WHAT!? What am I supposed to do, bring my bicycle along on a long journey and when my vehicle no longer wants to go pedal the rest of the way!? What a JOKE!!!

Did you get any resolution to this problem? We only have had our jeep for about 8mo. and since day one it spent over two months (during 5 separate visits) and then we ended up spending over $2000.00 out of our own money to try to fix this issue. It tamed down a little after alignments and tire pressure adjustments, but it still continues out of the blue and when you least expect it.

PLEASE TELL ME YOU GOT SOME ANSWERS!!! My family really likes the Jeep, but I can't risk my families well being over a vehicle.

In this case number 18-031-03. It appears that the number three cylinder will mis-fire due to a vapor build up cause by manifold heat. No recall appears to have been issued. I called the dealership and they have no record of adding a sleeve around the injector to cut heat. I tried to order one but to avail. I simply need the part number.

Since the Jeep is under 36,000 miles, I'm still covered by original warranty and this part should be replaced free of charge. I called 3 different dealerships and spoke at length with Andrew at Chrysler Jeep on Flatbush. He was absolutely unhelpful and hung up on me. At Majorworld in Queens, it seems the Manager is the only one who knows anything and he wasn't available. 32. I just bought a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was very excited to have the cool radio with xm radio, navigation etc. It also has blue tooth which I had never had before. I paired my phone with my car and the blue tooth worked great for 2 weeks. Then it stopped working. I couldn't pair my phone back up. I took the vehicle back to the dealer and they tried to help me. The salesman tried to pair his phone and his wouldn't pair either. I did a google search and that's how I got here. I did find the uconnect site and found that my phone is not compatible with uconnect. It's just blue tooth. I might not understand how that works but why would my phone work for 2 weeks and then stop? I phoned uconnect and was told that is happening to a lot of people. But they can't do anything about it because the phone isn't compatible. They said it is the phone carriers problem and that they needed to upgrade their phones. Also the day I bought the car and drove away I noticed I had two vents broken. Had to order new ones. Stupid stuff but not happy with Chrysler. Never had a Chrysler and not sure I will again. Wonder what will break next!

When we took it to the dealership they stated this was a VERY common problem and they had no clue why Jeep had not recalled the issue. I contacted jeep and they offered NO help. Where has customer service we??!! Especially being a LOYAL jeep customer. My next car WILL not be a jeep and it's a shame that they don't realize the effect they have made on loyalty to a brand.

    2. I couldn't agree more, I too am a single mom and have over 12 pages of service records on a 2012 grand cherokee that is just over a year old and have been stranded several times with my children in the car. I have had engine issues and even cracked seams where the car was welded. And get NOTHING but the run around from any corporate person at Chrysler. What a piece of junk. I am so furious. My car has been in the shop for over a month now. Water damage everywhere and can't get anyone from Chrysler to take me seriously.....

  35. I will have to say i will never buy a Jeep ever again! I own a 2004 Jeep and from the factory the seat belts where installed incorrectly. Since its just me and my wife we had no idea of the problem. Now take into account this was purchased new from Jeep. We have never done any work to it so it had to come from the factory incorrect. Now we have a little girl and need to install a car seat in the back seat. But that was when i realized the seat belts where backwards. So i took the vehicle in to Jeep to explain things. They wanted to charge me for their mistake! And they said they could not help because the vehicle was out of warranty. If i had known of their mistake when we bought the car i would have said something. But since i never realized it they think its my fault for not catching it. All Jeep wants is money and they dont care about our safety. I tried to contact anyone i could to help but everyone at Jeep said we cannot help unless you pay us.Sad to say it but no one in my family will allowed to buy a Jeep. I guess its time to switch to a subaru.

  36. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherekee, Overland Summit and bought it brand new. I live on a dirt road and in all ways, but one, love this car. The NAV system is HORRIBLE! It's made by Sirius. It's so archaic, I can't imagine Jeep putting this in a high end car. When I bought it, the NAV system was behind by 5 years. It sends me to where businesses used to be! Why, because it has to be upgraded with a DISC! and they haven't released a new one yet. What? Every other NAV system upgrades by satellite constantly. I'm waiting for a DISC! The touch screen is awful, sometimes taking me 4 taps until it responds. It won't accept certain info; like legitimate addresses, if it doesn't recognize it. The worst part is; I can't replace it with an after market, better system because everything on the car is linked into it. And the service people pretend they don't know what the problem is. I've had my unit replaced twice before I realized it was the system and the service people were just jacking me around. Shame on you, Jeep. This might prevent me from buying another car from you!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I just wrote in about the NAV system and wanted to add that the UConnect doesn't work at all. I'm so tired of rebooting this thing, I just stopped using it. Jeep needs to install a whole new system. One that works!

  39. I've read all the postings here and while I agree that Jeep customer service is wanting, I own a 2005 Jeep liberty Renegade with 535,000 miles on it...that's right I said 535,000 miles on it. It has the original enigine in it, but i have replaced the transmission once, a well as the rear end, front end, and a miriad of assorted things, to keep the jeep runnning.
I have been going back to my dealer since I had 350,000 miles on it and never once have they done anything for me or provided an incentive for buying another jeep.
I have seen commercials on TV lauding the ruggedness of Toyota cars and their ability to go over 100,000 miles.
Here you have a jeep with over 500,000 miles and nothing has been done.
As a consumer I will go else where when that times comes to purchase a new car.

  40. We have bought a 2013 Compass. As far as the outside looks and the way it drives is fine. However why would someone put cupholders in the back floor board for people to have to step over or on? I have noticed this in the Patriot, and Wranglers. I didn't realize that the Compass headlights do not come on by their selves since it was not dark when we traded. The stereo is cheap. I traded a 2012 Chrysler 200 for this 2013. Not sure yet how well I like or dislike but it really is a plain vehicle & I miss my 200. Another thing I noticed is that is does not have NSEW or the dash but does give the temp. This is my first SUV so maybe when I keep this one a couple of years I will trade for the new Chevrolet Impala.

  43. I can't believe the 'non' service I just received from Jeep Corporate! Sep'12 I bought a Jeep from my best friends brother who worked for Crysler for years and died suddenly last spring. It was fine until the back window dropped down and wouldn't go back up. Had my mechanic fix it (probably cost me less than the dealership!) and everything was OK until Feb of this year.

When I filled the tank, gas would spew out of the tank even when I pumped it myself and didn't use the lock thing. Can't tell you how much fuel I lost even while listening for the tank to fill! The only way to get it to not spew is to only give it so much at a time....not good for road trips!

Called my local Crysler dealer and was told my Jeep isn't included in the recall. So my mechanic told me to call Jeep directly. A lot of good that did. I was told it was only for the 08 Liberty's and the 07 Cherokee (or something). Even though I've been on a blog specifically for the 2007 Jeep Liberty and it seems they all have the same two issues as I.

I was told my Justin to take it to my local dealer and they could figure out what the problem is and fix it for me. Yeah, I'm sure, at what cost???

I've always wanted a Jeep because I'd heard how reliable they were. HA! If this is the kind of 'service' one receives owning a Jeep, I might as well go back to my Mercury or Buick products!

So disgusted with Jeep right now.

  44. I (unfortunately) own 2 Jeeps at this time. A 2003 Liberty that also has a driver's door motor problem and has been serviced 6 times for failing to run/sputtering, lack of speed. It also has recall on the passenger's side airbag (actually have the recall card), but it says the dealer can't keep the part in stock, so "don't call us, we'll call you" deal. REALLY???!!! On an airbag???!!!!! Every Jeep Liberty with a 3.7 litre engine that I found states it needs a new engine and IF you can find a Jeep Liberty 3.7 litre engine, what's to say that engine isn't going to go either and I'm sorry, I don't have $3000 or more to replace an engine all the while when Jeep continues to ignore it's problems/defects and not do the right thing by the consumer and fix the safety issues free of charge.

Our second Jeep is a 2006 Jeep Commander. I needed a safe, reliable vehicle to transport my 4 young grandchildren in. We bought both vehicles used, but we got smart and purchased the extended warrantany with the Commander. The transmission is slipping and I've read on the message boards that it requires an electronic upload/upgrade to correct this problem, even after replacing the transmission, the problem continued. NOW Jeep announced a recall in June on 2005-2010 Jeep Commanders for the electronics issues stating it can cause the car to automatically shift into rear gear as well as the failing to accelerate on the highway (slipping) which is a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE!!! Jeep will not honor the recall on my Commander as they state it is beyond 60,000 miles. No sh*t batman, USED vehicles are usually over 90-100K (or more)miles.

I am also so digusted with Jeep right now. And I'll leave you with the following:

  47. Do NOT buy a jeep. They are the worst. I bought a 2012 jeep compass and from te beginning there are problems. The mechanics are so stupid they say there is so problem but can't figure out what's making the noise. Then my air bag light went on, (7 months of owning it) and I call to make appt and ask them if there is any recall for airbag and they tell me no. I go to my appt and there they tell me actually there is a recall. So why did they tell me no before? Now the light is on again, god forbid someone hits me and the airbag doesn't respond, LAWSUIT! It hasn't been a year with this car just yet. It's brand new but it's like a bunch of drinks put the car together. Very upset, and disappointed. If this problem keeps occurring after my appt today, I will fight to get this car bought back. I have all the papers of the mechanic saying they can't hear a noise or can find issue.

ALL the computers and wiring had to be replaced. has been in the shop multiple times this time has been over a month. and CORPORATE does not give a crap about the consumers AT ALL!!! I am a single mom with two kids and because of this piece of crap My kids and i have been stranded over 10 times with the car not starting. I just keep getting jerked around and now when i finally have a corporate respresentatvie scheduled to come out this week She calls the service manager to say she cant' make it til october AND NEVERS CALLS ME!!!! 2. I want to start off by saying that I will NEVER buy a JEEP again. I purchased a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee back in Aug. 2013 and had to take it in due to the air suspension in December 2nd, 2013...my car is still at the dealer ship and Corporate won't do a damn thing. It is obvious at this point that the Jeep technicians don't know what the problem is. Is there a lemon law for USED vehicles?????? I don't even want my vehicle back. I need a safe reliable car. I completely understand what you are going through. I wish there was a way out. 45 DAYS AND MY CAR IS NOT FIXED.

  49. I purchased a Jeep Compass on May 25,2013 and have had nothing but a huge headache and what seems to be like never ending problems with the vehicle.
The car has been in the shop 4 times in the short time I’ve owned the car. Taking care of the issues with the vehicle, has cause me trouble at my place of employment because I am constantly on the phone dealing with this on company time and my boss is now upset. I have been late to work 5 times since I purchased the vehicle because it needed to get repaired.

I am a single mom and feel like I was sold a lemon and fear for the safety of my child and myself. they have tightened the torque and subframe, replaced the gear rack and pinion. The car has less than 5,000 miles and I do not feel that I should have this aggravation and nightmare with a car that I paid over $20,000.

  50. First I would like to say that I love my 2007 Jeep Compass. It was bought brand new, and I was so excited to have such a good looking first time new car. However, I must say that I was treated horribly by the dealer. When I stated that I wanted to purchase the car through my Credit Union the smiling salesman was no longer friendly. My questions were answered in such a way that I became uncomfortable. I was told that I did not have the free year of Sirius Radio. At one year, I was called asking if I wanted to renew my subscription. I didn't know I had it. I bought a years worth of oil changes, that should have been offered free. But the dealer ship I bout the car from closed down, and none of the other Jeep dealers would accept the paid for coupons. I was never offered or told about any of the perks given to customers that buy new cars.

My Compass is now paid in full. For the second time in a year, I am having problems that, of course, are no longer covered under warranty. I have spend an excessive amount of money on what is really a new car (31,650 miles). I will never, ever purchase another Jeep, and I will discourage anyone I know from buying one. I am truly angry.

I have looked at other reviews, and it seems that the 2007 Compass is nothing but a LEMON!

Care is making loud thumping sound under front end. I was recently told that I need balljoint replacement and that there are nuts and bolts that need replacing, and that it is dangerous to drive the car. This is ridiculous and I am very, very, angry. Seems a lot of people are having the same problem with this particular vehicle so there must be a defect. WHY won't you do something?????

  51. Me again! I forgot to mention that I never got any calls, newsletter, recall info or anything regarding the care for my then new car. Other dealers offer maintenance. I got NOTHING! ZIP! By the way, the dearship was located in Dayton, NJ. JEEP you have been around for such a long time, I can't believe that a dealer with such a good reputation is such a RIP OFF. I realize from all of the other comments that what we have to say means absolutely nothing to you. But it feels good to let you know how I feel. I HATE JEEP and I will never, buy another one.

  52. I see my comment is deleted so I WILL POST IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! I have never had customer service this bad and I am talking about this Auburn Hills Corporate Center. They are the rudest customer service people. An employee Brenda would not let me talk to another person. She just kept asking me the same questions over and over.

My Jeep Liberty windows have broken four times! The same problem with the defective window regulators. Now they want $775.00 to repair two windows that have fallen open and won't go back up. I do not have the money to repair this problem over and over again. Someone at the Auburn Hills office told me to get a diagnosis, which I did and paid $112.00. The problem was diagnosed as the window regulator. They refuse to pay for it. I am now driving with yellow crash tape over both my windows that are broken. One broken window is the drivers window which is a safety issue. This is the fourth time my windows have fallen open.

  53. Rainbow Jeep and Chrysler Corporation have admitted to me that this is a Jeep Liberty issue, yet they will not stand behind their product. What is wrong with this company? I got hit today with blown tie rods, a busted rear shock, bad spark plugs, and a 2300 dollar bill. For a 3 year old car, this is a little much. I am on my third jeep, and this is by far the worst of my experience. 64. 2014 Jeep Trail hawk manufactured to not have mud flaps. This has caused damage to the jeep. They do not make mud flaps and the jeep they say was not meant to have any and this is no design flaw. It was meant to operate and happen this way. I drive on regular roads (not dirt road) and it has caused damage to the jeep within 6 months. Chipping and discoloration... Chrysler and Jeep say it was manufactured this way. Have a hard time getting through to a supervisor and they tell me there is nothing they can do to help me but feel good in the fact that my issue helps them innovate better. You can not speak to anyone higher than the people answering the phones. Nothing is being done.

I understand when you drive a vehicle off the lot it loses value, but 10k within a month is insane. Both Chrysler have been NOOOOO help. 66. Full disclosure, this is a rebuilt title so I understand there is no warranty on the vehicle.

For the last 1000 miles the Jeep has been running a little rougher than usual and the CEL would come on and then go out in about a day. This last week the light came on and stayed on so I checked the code P0302 - Misfire Cylinder #2. I looked the issue up on the web and nearly every 2012 Wrangler with P0302 needed the left head replaced. I was worried as I realize there was no warranty on the car. As I dig deeper into it I find that this is not an isolated case and is in fact a manufacturing defect that has affected several 3.6L engines across many platforms. So much so that they issued an extended warranty to cover the left cylinder head. This alone tells you it is a known issue/defect. The only reason it is not a recall is that they determined there is no safety issue with it. You ask me extending the warranty on the head itself is just one rung below recall without all the cost.

I go to my dealer, tell them the issue and they confirm it needs a new head. We discuss that it is a rebuild title and that it would cost $1800 to repair. Dealer was great and tried to talk to Jeep for me but was told no warranty. They gave me the number so I could contact customer service. The person on the phone was pleasant but I could tell her hands were tied and she had to tow the company line. I asked to talk to her supervisor who again was pleasant and went along company requirements but said they could not help. I asked if there was anyone I could talk to above customer service and she said yes but she would not escalate it I had no options but to pay to have work done.

Look, I completely understand why Jeep cannot warranty a rebuilt vehicle. My issue is not with this, I have replaced an axle seal myself as I know there was no warranty. All I am asking is that they stand behind their product, not the warranty. They have a known factory defect that has affected a large population of vehicles. That defect would be there whether the Jeep had been rear ended or not. There is overwhelming evidence this is an issue. Stand behind your product. At the very least let me talk to someone that can look at the situation and make a decision. I have had a courtesy repair on my 2012 Challenger on an issue that was not normally covered on the factory warranty or the lifetime warranty I purchased. This could have been done or at least meet me half way. Lea Ann in customer service wouldn't even let me talk to anyone else about it and there is no way I can find to get above her to talk with someone.

I am a die hard Mopar fan. With only 2 exceptions when I was young and dump in high school I have only ever owned Mopar products. I have a 2012 Challenger I purchased new, the Jeep, Ram truck and a convertible road runner. Always thought Ma’ Mopar would stand behind their products better.

  67. I'm extremely dissatisfied with my 2014 Limited Jeep Grand Cherokee. So far, there are three recalls. The first one was electronic. After taking a while to get in, I was told I had to leave my car all day. Once I was able to get my vehicle, I was told they re-set the electronic system and everything should be fine. Needless to say, everything hasn't been fine. My radio works about 1/4 of the time, my airbag light has been on for months, my seatbelt light stays on and won't stop dinging, remote start doesn't always work, navigation freezes, cruise control doesn't work.
I received another safety recall for the brakes. I try and make an appt. to get it taken care of and was told they aren't addressing the issue until the following month. After calling today, they still haven't received the part. This has been at least two or three months.
My last recall is for the sun visor lamp that can result in a fire. This issue also hasn't been addressed.
I have a radiator leak and have for a couple of months now.
I called the dealership (Aurora CO) and made an appt to have everything evaluated, as well as the oil changed. The appt I was given was at 3pm so I confirmed that everything would be looked at because in the past, it has been an all day event. He reassured me everything would be evaluated. I show up for my appt and what do you know... it was for an oil change only and I was told they wouldn't have time to look at everything. I demanded to speak with a manager or someone who could help me get out of this lease or that could help me get everything taken care of. I was led to the sales manager and he stated he could get me into a 2015 jeep. I emphasized I would not put any more money down, nor would I pay more in a monthly payment so not to waste time if it wasn't going to happen. After nearly three hours at the dealership, the salesman comes back and tells me it will be an additional $100 a month.
I called back today to make an appt for an oil change, leak and the rest of the malfunctions. I was told it will be three weeks before they can get me back in. I then called corporate and after being on hold with them while they spoke to the service deparment, they came back and said they could do a few days earlier.

I'm extremely upset and will never ever buy another jeep and apparently be putting out more money to get rid of the lemon.

  68. I am having the same problem as a lot of you with my rear windows regulator breaking a lot. I have had them repaired 4-5 times since I bought it in 2003 with 6 miles. I had issues with the window about a month before my warranty expired and was told by the dealer ship nothing was wrong with them I clearly heard grinding and issues when the windows were used, which was rarely. Then few weeks after the warranty was up the window fell and I went back to Jeep in Fort Myers Florida and they said I was out of luck since it was over the warranty time. I had to fight to get it fixed that time
I went to get recall service done today and was talking about the window issue and he gave me corporate number because they were aware of the issue but never did a recall and never sent letters. I called them and was told very rudely, my car had to be at the dealership to start the process ( my car was there all day today 7-530pm) They told me I needed to call corporate first. I know my car is 11 years old BUT this issues didn’t just start happening. I was told I can take it to the dealership but he said it was doubtful anything would be done because of the age of my car and the mileage.
This shouldn’t be this hard. I just told him that he helped in making my decision when I buy a new car in 6- 12 months he had the attitude that he couldn’t care less. POOR customer service!!!!
If someone who can HELP in the Corporate office would like to contact me

  69. I bought a 2014 Jeep Patriot in September of 2013. Starting in June of 2014 I was having problems with it starting. Everything in the car comes on, except the car itself. The problem only happens once and a while. So it could happen five times one day and then not for 3 weeks. I have had it into the dealer 5 times to fix the problem. They tell me that they cannot locate the problem and that is starts every time for them. So on the 4th attempt to fix it, they placed a black box on my car to try to locate the problem. That didn't work. They this last time, they replaced the starter engine and the power module. I picked it up yesterday, started right up, drove home. A few hours later started right up again to leave my house and drove 1 mile up to the gas station and went in to purchase something, came out and it took 4 tries to get it started. Are you kidding me? I am so done with this car. I will have to let you know what happens next because I am going to pursue this legally.

  71. For all those Jeep owners that have had issues with the windows not staying up...you need to purchase a window regulator kit from steigerperformance.com. I have heard that if you bring your Jeep to a dealership, they will put in the same cheap window regulator again, and it will just break again and again. You can put it in yourself. My significant other put my 1st one in and it has held (3 years so far). Another window went about a year ago, and I purchased the regulator kit again and I had my local auto mechanic put it in, while I was having them do something else. I had been on a Jeep Forum online, and numerous people said that they had had there regulators fixed over and over at Jeep Dealerships...they are cheap, and your wasting your money having Jeep install theirs. Jeep, of course, knows this,,,but doesn't do anything to fix the problem. Go to www.steigerperformance.com for a better part.

  72. I bought a 2014 Jeep Cherokee on Oct. 1, 2014 and it has been in the shop 5 times for elictrical problems. The Uconnect gets black bars in the screen and then freezes up When it does this I can no longer work the heater / Ac or any other things. I have driven my new Jeep for 1 1/2 weeks because its been in the shop the rest of the time. The dealer said they have put in 3 new screens and I am still having problems with it. They told me when it happens pull over turn car off then start it again. Are you kidding me? I'm 3 feet passed pissed off. I called Jeep and they told me to take it up with the dealer. I will never buy another Jeep or be back to that dealer again. So in other words I gave Jeep $27K + and got my Jeep stuck up my #*@ Thanks Jeep!!!! Keep up the good work!!

    RE: Buying experience at Grava

    Dear Mr. Grava,
I am writing to you about my recent buying experience at the end of August 2014. Like most people, I was not looking forward to purchasing a new vehicle or the buying process that goes along with it. I jumped on the internet and registered for all my buying certificates and was soon inundated with emails and phone calls. Some salespeople were reasonable and others applied a maximum amount of pressure which was enough for me to avoid dealing with them. I understand every buyer has different expectations and engages in different negotiation tactics. I feel I’m in the majority by hoping for a truthful and low key sales person.
I had visited several dealerships and was informed that I would be making a mistake if I didn’t purchase a vehicle from dealerships that have massive inventories. Dealerships continually reminded me that dealers rotating their stock and emptying their lot once a month – are the only place to shop. I received several prices from dealerships in northern Mass and then took a ride to your dealership because it’s close to my home.
This is where I met your staff and my buying experience took a major upswing.
I was met by your General Sales Manager Frank Sorento. He treated me in a genuine way and clearly understands that consumers don’t enjoy the process of purchasing a new vehicle. He spoke to me about 10 minutes to fully understand why I was at Grava and what exactly I was looking for. Frank introduced me to Al Firicano. I didn’t know what to expect of Al at first. It turns out that Mr. Firicano was unassuming and patient. I asked him many questions and Al was steady through my barrage. Al further elaborated with additional important information that was extremely useful toward my purchase. He demonstrated professionalism and honesty. His demeanor and genuine nature shone through his hope to sell a vehicle. I hadn’t felt that I was dealing with good and honest salespeople until I met Al. He searched for a vehicle that suited me and located one in Southeastern Mass. He gave me a price that was lower than all other dealerships and treated me very fairly on my trade in.
I left the dealership without making a purchase so that I could process all the information Al Firicano had provided me. I did some more internet research and realized that I found a sales person that was truly treating me right. Subsequently, Al Firicano went to Southeastern Mass, picked up the vehicle and my purchase was complete. I quickly came to the realization that I had fallen victim to the stereotype that there are no good and honest people in the auto dealership market. I am a believer and will proudly refer anyone to Al Firicano – so that they may experience the same good faith that Al demonstrated to me. I hope you are able to hold on to Mr. Firicano because I believe his professionalism will make him an asset wherever he’s employed. Thank you for a positive experience.
    Yours truly,

    Neal O’Brien

Is there anyway to track my keys ? It has a leather back on the key itself and I wrote a J on it under the key. I know Im not giving you much info but IF you write me back I will do that . 75. I would NEVER recommend a Jeep to anyone. I own a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade. It has had mechanical problems just after owning it for a year, which ran in the thousands, window problem like many others that needed replace because it was on the drivers side, and now getting recall issues resolved is endless. They either never had the parts, never returned your call even when they said they would, and endless car issues. Service is extremely poor but then again, I don't think they care. It just tells me about your reputation.

  77. I have a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Currently it's got a recall regarding the ignition and the car suddenly turning off. We've contacted our dealer and corporate about the issue considering my car has already shut off on my while driving. We requested a loaner car until my vehicle gets fixed. We were told that there are no parts, because jeep/Chrysler doesn't know what the issue as of this moment. We were also denied a loaner car because they just "DONT DO THAT" I have 2 children and my question is what's going to happen when you have a law suit on your hands because my husband doesn't have a wife and kids anymore vice versa or our family is out a son, daughter and grandkids/nephews?

  78. I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I have started to have several electrical problems in addition to the P57 ignition recall. I had to get my Jeep towed to a local dealer "Boniface Hiers in Merritt Island FL" which had horrible customer service. The service manager is the owners son and is bad representation for Jeep Dodge Chrysler. I ended up having my Jeep towed to another Jeep dealer for my repairs because the manager and adviser were not honest and out right rude. This is my second and last Jeep!!! My windows don't always work and get stuck going up and down and after several months I'm still waiting on recall part for ignition and having to deal with the customer service is just too much when we have options to just go with another reliable make vehicle that will stand behind their product and have pleasant customer relations. I was left without a vehicle for over a week and I had to continuously call to check the status because the adviser was not keeping me informed.

  79. We had the same plus more problems. After 7 months Chrysler has agreed to repurchase because I followed all the procedures for lemon law in Colorado which is 2nd state hardest to qualify. If the vehicle or is new Read the lemon laws for your state. DO NOT DEPEND on the dealer to help. Save all your invoices, take picture of your odometer before and after service for proof it matches the service invoices. If you get a survey to fill out after service rate it very low. Often there is a customer advocate number get one involved. Ours at least paid us for the time it was in the shop which was over 30 days. Look in your owners manual at back for address to send certified letter to if your vehicle qualifies for lemon law. I think in your case you will have same region service manager as I did. She test drove the 2014 jeep grand cherokee offered a buyback or wait for future software. We chose buyback then we're stone walled with no one calling for 4 months from buyback dept. I called customer service 12 times sent another certified letter no contact so I contacted Chrysler arbitration group and they are very efficient. Set up arbitration hearing and then magically a week before the hearing the division for buybacks called and it has taken six weeks for them to move forward. We take the jeep in tomorrow and get check. Supposedly. I have owned and loved 5 jeeps and this one is beautiful....but has never worked. 5 recalls on it. My best advice be prepared be professional the corporation just gets to outlast you past the warranty.

TO top it off now I'm getting attitude from the service manager as if all of this is my fault. I told him I purchased a new car to drive not to bring it in for repairs every other month especially for the same problem . 82. I love my Jeep; I dislike the way Jeep runs the dealerships. I went in to have a wheel speed sensor replaced. It took less than an hour, however when I challenged the cost of $157 for labor, I was told that the "book" said to charge that as it could have taken an hour and a half to replace and I just had a fast mechanic. They said using the book was corporate policy. I was also charged 10% of my bill for "shop/cleaning supplies.' I ended up paying $82 for supplies and 30 minutes for labor that was not used. How is this even legal?

  83. I purchased my jeep from this dealer and have not received my plates yet even though my temp tags are expired. I contacted them several times. The only person I was allowed to speak with was Paul Olsen and he told me not to worry and the temp tags were good for 90 days. the temp is only valid for 60 days and when I called him upset because i was pulled over by a cop and issued a citation and demanding answers he hung up on me and refused to take my calls. I contacted jeep directly (case #26450209) they said they would follow up with the dealership. I also contacted Debbie from the corp office of Browning Auto Group 562-924-1414 ext 5410 she said she would mail them and they would arrive sat feb 21st or mon feb 23rd by the latest. They did not come. I called to inquire, Debbie offered a tracking # for certified mail 9171 9690 0935 0042 1505 93 however, the number does not work. I called Jeep and referenced my case # they said they contacted Paul Olsen at the Norco dealership and he had assured the conflict resolution rep that the matter had been resolved and I had received my plates. I have not. This dealership and specifically Paul Olsen is flat out lying to solve problems that he is creating. I am literally being held hostage by their inability to follow through to deliver what they promise. Please help.

  85. I purchased a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. With the cruise control set at 55 mph. and on a 7% grade the car had a problem down shifting to meet the set speed. The car would try to shift down and would shift down a gear but when it tried to shift down again it would jerk a little and then shift up instead. At one point it shifted up to 74 mph. when set at 55 mph. on the cruise control. I have had the same thing happen when slowing down. The engine should shift down instead it shifts up. This is much less discernible when slowing down. The increased conditions of the decline amplified the condition. This condition could lead to sever injury up to death. Are you aware of this problem?

  86. I purchased a 2008 Jeep Patriot and have nothing but problems. I could be driving 40 mph and all of a sudden the fluid thermostat light comes on and will drop the car down to 10 mph. This has happened many of times. I have had the fluids drain and new put in. NOTHING. I have had the electrical work updated. NOTHING. I put a new battery in. NOTHING. I put a new thermostat in. NOTHING. I go by the recommendations of the mechanic and my Jeep still is not working right. They have told me they do not know what else to do! Also mentioned to me was that Jeeps knows this problem and will not do anything about it. I think this is dangerous! I can only drive it locally in case something happens. I will NEVER buy another Jeep again. Oh this week my engine check light is in too!

    1. I have a 2011 Jeep Compass and am having the same problem. The fluid light comes on then it begins to lose power. It doesn't matter if I'm driving long or short distances, or at any speed. I have had the termostats replaced, fluids flushed and replaced with no results. I took it to a dealership and they said that it is leaking transmission fluid but couldn't find the leak. They filled it with fluid but the problem still persists. Oh, and now the engine light is on in mine also!

  87. I have 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I loved this car until December it has gotten worse. I took it in to the dealership to take care of some Electrical recalls since then my car has been acting worse my EPS light comes on and my traction control light comes on. I unplugged the battery to reset everything and they are still turning on. Then about a year ago I was having this jerking happening in my car I would drive it and when I would begin to slow down the car would jerk as if the car was delaying in shifting. It would not happen often but now it happens all the time no matter if I am accelerating or I am slowing down. I am also having problems with my RPMs they are dropping until the car turns off this happens at a red light or when I am driving and it will just shut off. I first assumed it was the fuel so I put in a fuel cleaner the problem is still happen that did not help at all. Now I am wondering if I need a injector cleaning maybe the pistons are clogged or the injector is clogged. If there is any information I can get it will be helpful. I love this car and I am the sole owner I don't want to get a new car because this one is finally paid off and I want to use it for at least one more year.

Now when you fasten the seat belt it keeps dinging just as if you had not fasten it for about 5 minutes. Called the dealer and was told they had the part to fix it. Drove about an hour and guess what, they haven't even started making the part to fix this problem, so I got the recall even before the part has been made. This is my 3rd larado and needless to say it is my last. You don't pay that king of money for a new car to keep having recalls.

Complaint: Jeep 2013 Grand Cherokee – I paid for a New Car and received Junk!

    To Whom IT May Concern:

I am a single women working as a Realtor. I buy every 4 years a new safe and most important reliable Jeep (LOL) to make sure that my clients are safe and of course that I arrive safe on my journeys.

Unfortunately the Jeep Dealer in Fort Myers sold me a “Junk Car” for the price of a new car.
Since I own the car I received 5 safety recalls, sorry 4, Number 1 was a mistake I was send one safety recall notice twice, wasted my time at the Jeep dealer and it took only hours to find out that it was done already. During this job my car was scratched and again a few more hours at the Jeep Dealer to fix the scratch. Sorry but I am not a bored housewife, I actually work 12 hours a day!

In December of 2014 I received a safety recall: The alternator diodes in your vehicle may experience a rapid failure. The driver will have limited or no detection of the alternator failing, which result in vehicle shutdown while driving and/or an underhood electrical fire. However this part is not available. This was in December of 2014, today is April 25th 2015 and I am still driving with a ticking time bomb around. Thank you Chrysler Jeep, but I am suicidal. Please let me know when you’re ready to safe my life!!!

In between Mr. Mike Manley was so manly and mailed me a coupon for parts in the amount of $ 150.00. Are you laughing when you come up with this BS???? This is an insult.

Sorry, but I am not laughing I just got the next ticking time bomb in the mail just today April 25th 2015!
This safety recall states: The totally Integrated Power Module on your vehicle contains an internal fuel pump relay that could operate intermittently or fail without warning. An Intermittent or fail fuel pump relay could cause the engine to stall while driving and cause a crash without warning.

FCA will repair…… However, the part is currently not available. Please feel free to kill yourself…… while driving our Jeep Grand Cherokee!

Good to know that I either may die while my Jeep engine may catch fire and I will explode or I am ending my life in a crash, but at least in a Grand Cherokee.

Please advise, when you will be delivering the new Jeep Cherokee to my house, which I can drive safely until you figure out how to fix all the unmanageable recalls.

How are you sleeping at night knowing that women in Fort Myers Florida is driving around with a ticking time bomb created by you?

  93. I purchased 2013 Jeep Patriot Latitude in January of 2013. Since the car was purchased, I have had nothing but problems. The first issue was that the windshield wipers kept turning on by themselves. I took the car back to the dealership's service department only to be told that a ''star case'' was made. No resolution. The second issue that occurred was where the car completely stalled out at 10 MPH which nearly caused a terrible accident that could have injured myself and my 9 year old daughter. I had to turn the car off, wait and then turn it back on. The car stalled again. After 20 minutes of waiting, the car began to drive as normal. I took the car back to the dealership AGAIN. The service manager kept my Jeep for the entire day (keep in mind that they do not even issue rentals) and called to tell me that ANOTHER STAR CASE was made. After my third visit for the stalling issue and for the windshield wipers, the dealership finally decided to change the wipers relay switch which seemed to stop the problem. After 5 visits for the stalling issue, there still has not been any resolution. I have contacted Jeep over three times, via phone and by the email on the site and still have yet to be contacted from the ''representative in one business day.'' I am furious that I cannot get any type of satisfactory service. I will NEVER purchase another Chrysler product. I have began exploring other options for a new vehicle which is sad being that I am a single father who just needs reliable transportation to provide for his daughter. Oh by the way, today is 5/15/15, I had to take my Jeep in to the service dealership at 10:15AM EST for yet another diagnostic check.

  96. We have a 2004 jeep grand Cherokee. Why haven't we heard anything about the recall and fix for the gas tank. We are thinking about giving it to our granddaughter but if it is not safe or fixed. We don't want her hurt. We have not got anything about the recall. So do you have your thumbs up your butt or what? Like to have an answer.

  97. I recently purchased a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4. have had multiple recall fixes and now (a week after getting it out of the shop for recalls) the 'Check Engine' light is yet again back on. Also the Start/Stop feature is not working nor the remote start as well as the Jeeps ability to detect my key fob (using both the primary and alternate key fob) on occasion. It took me 30 min to get it started this morning due to this and even then the alarm wouldn't shut off until the car started.

Another issue is the customer service, it took Corporate Jeep to get a hold of my dealership just to fix the recall issues and they couldn't even see me for 2 weeks. Now that the check engine light is back on and i have a myriad of other problems they still wont see me until 3 weeks from now (earliest).

I know the second paragraph does not directly reflect the corporate office but it is still another reason why people are moving away from this brand.

    1. UPDATE:

After taking my vehicle back to Jeep twice today I was finally told the actual issue with my vehicle is a faulty transmission which needs to be completely replaced as soon as possible. Moments after telling me that the dealership said that I do not meet the prerequisites to receive a rental vehicle until mine gets fixed because of two reasons. The first is because my vehicle can still start so technically it is driveable, the other is because it exceeds the 5 day rental agreement due to the fact that they cannot receive a new transmission for a 2015 Jeep Cherokee in 5 days or less (earliest is 7 days but could be more).

End-state is this... I was told my vehicle should not be driven but since I did not meet their standards that all I could do is take a chance until they get the proper parts in. I am a soldier and have been for the past 10 years and a single father of a 9 month old girl whom I have to take with me pretty much wherever I go. Having said that I do not feel safe driving her around in a potential death trap just because the dealership didn't feel like giving me a rental until my vehicle's serious problems are fixed. I really cannot believe that a 2015 vehicle with less than 15000 miles on it already needs a full transmission replacement, and on top of that this brand is forcing its own clients to drive around in a dangerous vehicle.

All I am asking is for a replacement... nothing more, in 8 months this vehicle has already been in and out of the shop 4 times and now needs severe work. No one should have to go through something like this. I am not greedy or selfish all I want is a fair trade on a vehicle that actually works well.

  98. To Whom It May Concern:

My husband & I are first time Jeep Wrangler owners. We have yet to hit our year mark. We love our jeep except we are dissatisfied with the customer service we have been given at our local Lustine Jeep Dealership.
We purchased this jeep in August 2014 as a brand new Wrangler Sport. We were given an incentive, which was to get a back up camera installed as an after market purchase. That was the only thing I needed to have since we were giving up a vehicle that had the best back up camera to date. Furthermore, we were told that it would be placed on the center of the spare tire and it would be wonderful. Little did we know, once we got our camera installed, it was placed on the license plate holder which is located on the bottom left corner of the car. To our dismay, this back up camera is horrible to say the least. It is so misaligned that it shows us backing up into our garage/any object when we are nowhere near it. Obviously, it's center focal point is really not centered with the car itself.
We have taken to jeep back to the dealership where we have commented and complained about the camera. It serves no purpose and it is unfortunate because we wanted it for safety reasons. After many talks, we were constantly told that because it was after market product there was no other place to put it and it needed to just be there and we needed to just deal with it.
Today, almost a year of having this jeep, we took it for its scheduled maintenance as well as a new problem with the camera. The lens is so fuzzy that not only can we not use it to check for safety reasons (i.e. people crossing behind us) but now we can't even see out of it. We have tried on our own to clean the lens but it is obvious that it is a problem that we cannot tackle on our own.
After, having our jeep almost the entire day, we get a phone call telling us that they can now move our camera to a different location and have it centered to our liking. It would even come with an upgraded lens. And it would cost us $250 as well as another service appointment.
All in all, we understand that $250 is not a lot of money, but we see it as unfair because we have had complaints about this camera from the get go. And to top it off, we are asked to pay for something that we were constantly told could not happen on a jeep. I am weary about paying out money to something that I have no idea will work and to possibly keep getting the same customer service that we have been for the past year.
In conclusion, I told them not to order the new camera parts and cancel the installation. I was vocal about how unhappy I was and how I felt that this was unfair after the numerous discussions we had over this back up camera.
I am not looking for anything except better customer service for future customers as well as myself. Like I said before, we love our jeep but we are unhappy with the service.

    Thanks for your time.

  99. I own a 05 Jeep Liberty with the same window malfunction. I feel Jeep should take ownership of the defect and correct the window problem(s) and offer refunds to those of us that have had to pay out of pocket for expenses that obviously from all the comments is a mfg defect. Come on, Jeep own it !! It is easy to forget defects when the problem is easily resolved.....much more difficult to forget an injustice which breeds resentments.

  102. My wife and I purchased a 2014 Jeep Patriot from Bayside Chrysler in February 2014. 4 months later the vehicle started to make a winding grinding sound when going 65 or more MPH. A week after this started the vehicle started to make that sound and when on the highway, the car's overheating signal came on and the car decelerated from 70 to 30 MPH. When stepping on the accelerator, the car continued to make that winding sound and decelerated until it came to a stop. I pulled the car over to the side of the highway, shut if off and waited in the heat for about 45 minutes until the car started and the problem went away. The car has repeated to do this from July 2014 to July 2015 six more times. One time, the vehicle did that when driving with my family on I-80 and there was no shoulder. We were almost hit by a large truck due to our slow speed on those winding roads. On one occasion, the car did this going down a steep hill and the brakes locked up and we swerved into traffic. The car has been in the shop in both Bayside and East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania 5 times and they cannot find the issue. The dealership in Pennsylvania where the car was towed to twice recommended that the car only go to Bayside Jeep from now on. My last visit to Bayside Jeep was July 29, 2015. They could not find the issue and released this death trap to me even after the representatives at Jeep Hotline, who let me tell you are awful as well, recommended that I not drive this vehicle due to it being unsafe. Now, Bayside Jeep wants me to go into the vehicle with one of their employees and drive for hours until the problem occurs. Not only are they putting my life in danger but they are also doing this to one of their own. I am so disappointed about the way this has been handled from Jeep's end, Bayside Jeep and Gray's Jeep in Pennsylvania. As the owner of three Jeep Grand Cherokee's, I am disappointed that I even entered the doors of Jeep of Bayside. Not to mention that the business manager of the dealership told me that the car was a death trap and told me he would help me by declaring this a lemon. He has never returned my calls and I am placing these messages publicly in the event that I face an accident or worse in this 2014 Jeep Patriot. Yes, I have gone to all Agencies including Better Business, Attorney General's Office and now an attorney. Be aware and do research before you buy a car from this dealership. I know that people rant and rave on these and many websites but I am being truthful in this review and I warn you to do your research! I am a NYC School Principal with a doctorate degree and I feel that I did not do the right thing by dealing with Bayside Jeep. I have to add this piece to the review....so I have I case number with Jeep and the case manager, Jeanette, I call about 3-5 times per day. She almost never returns calls and has done zero. Her job is to tell me what I need to do and lie to me and tell me that she can never get through to the dealer or service at Bayside Jeep. Imagine corporate not being able to get through to Jeep. So today, after calling her four times she returns my call at 6:00pm and asks me whats up. I say....were you not going to call dealer and find out what next steps need to be taken. She has the audacity to say to me to be honest I forgot to call....I tell her I can't believe that the lives of my family members and I are not so important....she back tracks and says well I did call but did not get through....she got caught in a lie. We left off that she would call me in the morning-first call-after reaching the dealer. This whole situation is very frustrating and I do not trust this dealer, Jeep nor my car.

  103. 2010 Jeep Liberty LEAKING SKY SLIDER & other issues;
I purchased a brand new 2010 Jeep Liberty, with sky slider from Ed Voyles Jeep Dealership, Marietta GA. All service repairs, three (+) transmission issues, including being towed, replaced Steering Pin and Bracket, Rear End Differential replacement, new tires, new breaks, & 60,000 mile tune up, replacing all spark plugs from gunk, maybe a normal thing at that mileage.?($700) and finally, a minimum of 7 attempted header / liner leak repairs. All under warranty, with one exception of denied warranty repair of header, as it expired by one month. In my defense, since the leaking has been an ongoing issue, Chrysler paid for half of replacement header, ($6,000part...which has been replaced 3x. = to half the value of car) BUT because they said it could be fixed, I believed them. The last two attempts, failed attempts, to fix the leaking skyslider, has resulted in rerouting the drainage tubes to drain at the back of vehicle, which, now allows water to drain INTO the interior of car and saturates carpet. This repair also resulted in breaking the covers on both front seat belts. Here is why: I had to tell Chrissy Jones, service manager to pull the carpets, PRIOR to leak specialist, makes sense right? This way he could see where water is coming in at. This actual turned into a pissing contest / argument, that I won, saying that the carpets needed to be dried out. With this completed, and a new white header liner,& DRY Carpets, we should be good as new, right? Are you on your seat with anticipation in this thrilling story? Well, on August 10, 2015, Atlanta got another monsoon, and guess what! That's right! You smart readers YOU! We have another new water mark, same side, same spot, and yip, we are swimming in our car. So knowing the 'routine" I called dealership, yet AGAIN to set up for the mandatory "leak test" appointment on Thursdays, with professional leak technician, because you know, the water stain just does NOT prove water coming in, nor do wet carpets! Update: Service Manager Chrissy Jones calls me to say, " Well, the leak technician could not duplicate the problem." I asked her "Did they pulled the carpet before the test was done, to see where the water is coming in?" are you ready... can you guess her reply.... "No, & further more, we will no longer be able to service the leak issues with this vehicle." I said ok, I will call Chrysler and let them know, and I am leaving the vehicle there until Chrysler has a chance to evaluate it. I called Chrysler 800 cc, & it has been escalated to (?) By the way, if you're wondering, my vehicle is still UNDER MOPAR WARRANTY as vehicle driven less than 10,000 miles since last repair, Oct 2014. So readers, let me ask you,

If the dealership says that they have given up on any and all future attempts to repair this leaking sky slider which mind you is still under warranty, honestly, I have to believe it!!! So, is this considered a default on dealership and where does that leave me ........HOLDING A LEMON? Lemonade anyone?

  104. Hello,

I am writing to let you know that because of the horrible service I received from your company and service dept. I have since traded my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Willy's edition for a Toyota. My jeep had less than 14,000 miles on it and not once through the few services I received, did anyone mention my tires were wearing funny. I had my tires rotated and still no one said there may be a problem. So when my husband came back from Afghanistan to see the tires in such poor condition he brought it to your service dept. Each person we talked to tried to blame something else for the wear.. and the manager said here is the number to BF Goodrich and Chrysler call them to get any help or answers. We were sent to Gateway tire to have them inspected only to find out they don't carry BF Goodrich tires. So then we got sent by them to sears. Where we had to purchase 2 new tires. Not once were we offered reimbursement for the purchase we had to make on tires that should have never worn that quickly. We had to go through actual BF Goodrich to receive 50 percent discount on one tire and 40 percent on the other tire. We still came out of our pocket $427.00 when we should have never needed to if the service dept. would have just paid attention to the vehicle and followed through with the inspection during my services and tire rotation. We should have never I'm sorry but I bought my vehicle from you a year ago brand new. I expect your company to assist me not pass us off to someone else. In my opinion that is poor customer service. I have driven a Toyota for the past 10 years and have never once had any issues with there customer service no matter where we go in the US. Gary Matthews should learn from Toyota. Because of there great service we received at Toyota. We bought two brand new vehicles (est. cost $90,000) from them in the past two days and a total of 7 cars from Toyota in the past 6 years. I will never buy a Jeep, Chrysler, or Dodge again. I'm so disappointed in your company.

    Sincerely,

    Amy and Charles Kilpatrick

  105. My husband and I are adventurers....we were excited at the thought of getting a Jeep so that we could go to places a normal vehicle would not be able to get us to.
We decided on the Jeep Wrangler...looked at used ones but decided we would rather buy a new one so that we would know where it had been and not be stuck with a used Jeep that may or may not have a lot of issues because of past owners.
We purchased a brand new 2014 Sport Jeep Wrangler...we were so excited!!! We were going to take care of this vehicle and it would take care of us on all the back roads and places we wanted to see.
Last weekend we were in Idllywild, CA in the mountains. Upon driving up to the top of the mountain an hour away from any large city...the thermostat housing broke and we had radiator fluid dripping out of the Jeep. We were so far from a major city that we took it to the local Garage for the repairs. The guy was awesome...he took good care of us...fixed our rig and we were on our way again.
Now we get back to Surprise, AZ Jeep dealership to get the oil changed and regular maintenance done and tell them about the problem in the mountains. We had purchased an extended warranty and the maintenance program. We asked how we could be reimburse for our expenses on the radiator and were told that we could not be reimbursed as WE DID NOT GO TO A JEEP DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS....Really...they wanted us to drive a dripping radiator down the mountain for an hour to a dealership. This is not our first leak in the Jeep....the first time was a hose for the transmission...where we had fluid on the windshield while driving on the freeway close to a major city...no problem there...but we were in the mountains this time and could not see burning up our new wrangler to get to a major city for repairs.
We are so disappointed in our Jeep Dealership and our Jeep right now.
We feel that it can't be trusted to be too far from a major city...this is a brand new 2014 vehicle.

Jeep Liberty 2002 design is complete crap. From brakes, airbags, the supension, to gas tanks exploding. This little death trap is a pretty little penny just to take home not to mention all the repair (since jeep refuses to make right due no concern of human life only their bank accounts) and wear of things like tires and high gas mileage consumer are stuck with. After the experience I am now having with Jeep this once proud to be a Jeep owner is going to make sure my story as well as other Jeep owners stories are heard about the concern of safety. I will be contacting any government agencies I need to as well as an attorney. I think after today talking to your rude customer service rep who could not tell me anything I needed to know about my Jeep out of fear of safety of my 4 children's lives and mine that ride in this vehicle. And reading stories of other jeep liberty owners who have suffered injuries due to upper control arms alone (not including other safety flaws) a class action law suit is in order. We are sick of our lives at risk and our wallets empty due to cheap flawed parts. Take note Jeep there a new Erin Brockovich in town. I do not and will not take anyone putting the risk to thr safety of my children as non concern.

    One very anger mama bear!

I will be holding Jeep responsible and they can expect a hefty law suit games with people lives and safety on the line is not something I expected out of a this company. 112. To whom it may concern,

I purchased my 2015 Jeep Cherokee 3.6L Limited edition in May, since then had nothing but problems with the 9 speed automatic transmission and the front axles causing wobbling at lower speed . After 5 or 6 visits to the service department they installed a new transmission and front axles. Two days after we got the car back, horrible noise was coming from the axles the vehicle had to be towed to service again. When the car was returned to me it seemed to be driving fine except it did not shift into 2nd gear when every other car would, experiencing constant hesitation all the time and feels like the car has no power however it has 273 HP. Less then a 1000 miles later the check engine light came on along with A! . After diagnosis the error code was pointing to the transmission control module. The service administrator told me that they would clear the code and the tech would drive the car overnight and if it does not come back they would consider it fixed, and not questioning why it happened at the first place.
We feel completely unsafe in this car, I wish I never bought this vehicle.
This car has 10500 miles on it and I had to take it 7 or 8 times to the dealership. I have no confidence that this or other issues will not reoccur in the future.
I spent over $35K on this car and I received a LEMON!!!!!!!
Chrysler should buy this vehicle back or replace it with a brand new one.

  115. Posted on 11/8/2015 regarding my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee having total brake failure while traveling 70 mph on the interstate. I wanted to update my posting with the results of the cause and surprisingly my comments have been deleted. No surprise I guess since having total brake failure while driving is a major concern for Chrysler group. However, I am going to update anyway. Service technicians advised the brake buster failed and needed replaced. Interesting that I had already had the brake buster shield installed during a recall last year. The shield did not prevent brake failure. Very concerning and I must say, I was very surprised that the staff at the dealership did not seem to be alarmed. Just another day in the shop and in fact, preliminary conversations during check in was that I would be responsible for the cost as brakes are not a warranty item. Chrysler has a major problem on hand and I can say I was lucky that I was on open highway with no traffic. Otherwise, at 70 mph someone would could been killed and brake failure being the primary cause would be advertising that would impact sales. In the last 12 years I have owned 3 Grand Cherokee's and 1 Ram. I have to say that Ford now has my future business.

  120. HYBRID OR ALL ELECTRIC WRANGLER

Please, please make one as soon as possible...and I will buy it. I LOVE my Wrangler and want to own one for the rest of my life but I feel very guilty about it's lack of fuel efficiency and contribution to greenhouse gases. The Jeep brand is strongly associated with a love for the outdoors and I believe many fellow Jeep owners would gladly purchase a hybrid or electric Jeep to help preserve our world. It pains me to say that if Jeep doesn't offer a hybrid soon, I will have to follow my conscience and buy a hybrid from another auto maker. I heard that Jeep might offer a hybrid Wrangler in 2017 but I hope you will make it available sooner. I urge the Jeep Corporation to be fearless and trust in your loyal enthusiasts. Make a hybrid Wrangler...and we will come.

On or around 11/6/15 I took my Jeep to the dealership because 1 of the pins on the front passenger door hinge looked like it was going to fall out. I was told all the hinges are corroded and should be replaced. Both rear doors have always been very hard to open and close but I just thought that that's they way they are supposed to be-I was wrong. I need to replace all 8 hinges which will cost approximately $1,600. Only 31,000 miles on the Jeep and it is kept in the garage. I think this should be covered under the original warranty since this problem existed from the day I purchased the Jeep in January 2010. Can someone help? You can contact me at bakerdmw@gmail.com.

However, I purchased an awesome extended warranty but the car has been at Jeff Wyler Jeep service mostly in since August 20, 2015 I got it back December 4,2015 the issue has been either the air conditioning won't work or now the heat. I took it back again December 18, 2015 and my service advisor explained that the heat was reaching 120-135 degree's within Chrysler's standards. I fear it will not even defrost my iced windows when the temps turn colder. I bought myself a thermometer and stuck it in the vent just like Mike B. had it, drove home from work over two hours due to several accidents. The temp did not reach 100 degrees. I am used to the car as anyone else is when you first turn on your heat it is set at max. As you drive and the engine heats up you adjust your heat and fan settings as the heat has risen and your hot. Not with this one, I need help the only thing left for me to do is call an attorney I really do not want to do that. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Donna McNeilan

  126. We bought a Dodge Journey almost a year again from Gresham Dodge in Oregon. The GPS went out months ago my husband called the service department several times asking for status of the replacement and each time they said they'd get back to him and each time never did. Last time spoke to the Service Manager, finally, all he got was apologizes and said he'd get to the bottom of it and find out and call him back. Guess what he never did. Husband called again and they had never orderd the part. Just two days ago he following got a call after 2+ months saying it was in, my husband said he'd like to bring out journey in on Saturday and get this he said that's not possible we are just too busy. My husband brought up the recall notice too on the ABS and exact words that will take sometime to order the parts we'll have to get back to you. Guess what... My husband left to go pick up our son and the exact really issue happen the car started acting up and warning lights on the ABS started showing up. We will be contacting them tomorrow. NEVER will buy again from Dodge or any car that is part of Dodge or the Gresham Dodge dealer in Oregon. Shame on you Chrysler Dodgr for not taking care of the consumer.

  127. How Sad I am, I thought I bought a good car from a reputable company. I bought a 2014 Patriot and the hill assist feature does not work and the anti lock brakes lock up. Contacting the dealer who does service about the issue just yelded blank looks and " I don't know's". The servicing dealer now states that the hill assist was not installed and cannot be installed after the fact. The dealer where it was purchased says it is turned off and sent a complicated procedure to turn it back on, I don't work on cars.Jeep customer service at first said I needed an EVIC installed for the hill assist to work. They have changed their minds and now say that although it is listed in the standard features that once the auto trans was installed at the factory that that negated all of the standard features? Then why would they still be listed on the window label? So now I have been gived four different stories and aI have asked Jeep CS to put in to contact with a supervisor or manager and they refuse. I asked them if they weren't concerned that two of their dealers were giving bad information and wont even respond to that question. all in all horrible experience with CS side of Jeep. And at the end of the day IO have no idea what features are in my car or not as no one can tell for sure and no one cares. how the F#$% did this company get this far. I should of stuck with Ford......

  128. Approximately three years ago my wife and I purchased a brand new 2013 Jeep Cherokee Overland. The truck is very good we really enjoy it however my wife is adamant about taking the truck to the dealer for service which she religiously does. Today, at Don Jackson Union City is the worst day I have ever experience in my life. Every time they the dealer service the car there is an issue. The oil leaks days after, this time after service antifreeze all over my garage "just terrible". That's not the only issue my wife and I took the truck back to dealer first you have to make an appointment which is 2 weeks out, then secondly when you call the dealer the managers are no where to be found. You know leave a message bs. After getting to the location wow humiliation they try to pacify your concern like it is nothing. Took 20 minutes to get to the service manager who seemed clueless and his mannerism was horrible. Of course his respond um let me look at it. Then the GM finally call back with some bs then had the nerve to ask do I want to trade the vehicle in. Therefore for my fellow and potential buyers do not go there. Period.

  130. I had purchased a jeep renegade on August 22/2015 I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle first problems include truck not being able to be moved out of park so it had to be dragged on a flatbed to the dealership also keys stuck in ignition so they could not be removed and now the thermostat has stopped working also the four wheel drive does not engage and the list just keeps building. I am not happy about this at all I put my trust in jeep to give me a reliable vehicle an now I have to take many days off in advanced From work to have this vehicle fixed which when I do another problem occurs someone better take some initiative to make my Problem go away because that's Your job An if your brand new jeeps are breaking non stop its your job to fix them or replace it with a new one.

  131. You might want to pass this on to the department at Jeep corporate which handles your commercials. The Presidents' Day commercial with the kids singing the names of the presidents is sung incorrectly. John Quincy Adams is pronounced Quinzee NOT Quincee. If you are going to use the name, it might be nice to pronounce it correctly. Quincy (zee) Ma is the only Quincy in the US which uses that pronunciation. But that is J Q Adam's birthplace and hometown(formerly part of Braintree, MA).

  132. I would like to make a suggestion for all Jeep models having the hatchback design and also the Wrangler with its swing out tailgate. First the hatch back is very restrictive to the carrying capacity, if the hatch was replaced with the old style tailgate that would lay down this would increase the interior length by 2 feet or on the Wrangler instead of swinging out and requires you to be about 3 to 4 feet from any wall or loading dock, this would also increase the length of items you can transport.

We have 2014 Wrangler Sport Unlimited 4 door, we love it but every time we have to load something the swing out tailgate is a pain and if we want to haul some thing that is over 5 ft we can't.

    I would appreciate your response.

    Thank You

  133. Staying away from Jeep. Never owned one but from the simple fact that I was IGNORED upon requesting information before dropping $45,000 on a vehicle from building one I will definitely look to build one of the other 2 brand vehicles I was considering. Thanks for making this decision easier, Jeep. So sad a large company would so easily shu a willing customer. Oh well. I'll spend my money where it is appreciated, especially on such a large investment. Jeep should really considering their employment options (referring to Nicole of Jeep Product Information Center).

  135. A family member purchased a Jeep vehicle from the Rocky Top dealership (Richard is the owner). I was so enamoured I went down to look myself to purchase a new Jeep myself. I picked '4' pamplets (one for the Wrangler, and one ach for the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee). The owner (Richard) passed by and said 'What are you doing with those?" I explained my wife liked the Cherokkie series and I liked Wrangler so we want to compare. He said:"Which one do you want--do you need all four?"I was infuriated, after a family member spend over $20 GRAND, and I was looking at a 40 grand vehicle. Out o0f 17 pamplets, I took 4 and the OWNER was worried about 4? I am 64 years old, not a child and I was humiliated!

This was totally unacceptable behavior from an Owner/Manager. Wven his sales managers and salesmen were shocked. I will never buy from his dealership, and now I almost contemplating steering clear of Jeep. What an insult.

  138. My 2010 Jeep Patriot just started leaking from the sunroof area. I called CARMAX where it was purchased and they said my car was out of warranty and there was nothing they can do besides charge me $600 to fix it. I went online to see if this was a common problem and guess what?? IT IS!!!! I've read hundreds of complaints from people with the same car, having the same problem. (Google it yourself). So I contacted the Jeep dealer to see if there is a recall and guess what? NOPE!!! there is not one! They offered to fix it for $400. So then I decided to call corporate CASE#28866629 and I was informed that my case information would be submitted and who knows maybe Jeep will make this issue a recall one day and if I save my receipts from the repairs I will be reimbursed, otherwise there is nothing they can do about it. Now I understand if it was just my car or a few others but there is THOUSANDS of other complaints out there about the SAME EXACT LEAK PROBLEM. When is Jeep going to admit that this is a defect on their end and fix it?!? This issue needs to be resolved IMMEDIATELY. I consider this an extremely serious problem. Through a web search, I have discovered that this is an ongoing issue with the Jeep Patriot and I want to know how this has been resolved by the manufacturer. This is a manufacturing defect, I expect the manufacturer to recall and repair this fully. That includes a reliable fix that will completely eliminate any source for water entering the interior of the vehicle (except for the doors, windows, and hatch when open), as well as replacement for any damaged interior parts due to the current problem, such as, the rear dome light fixture, ceiling panel damage, rust treatment for any body or frame parts affected, upholstery, and standard accessories affected by water.

  140. I purchased my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2012 From Central Avenue Jeep in Yonkers NY. I also purchased an extended warranty at that time, which I was told would cover everything for 10yrs or 100k miles. In the summer of 2013, my Jeep began to experience an intermittent 'no start' condition. In September it finally broke, and it took about a month to get the TIPM unit from overseas. I was not fully covered for a rental car during that time. In August 2014, at 49k miles, I was told by a third party technician that I had a fluid leak, but all fluids were full and it wasn't big enough to worry about, nor could it be pinpointed. in Summer 2015, my transmission began to slip. I brought it to Jeep Manhattan who found nothing wrong and did a transmission service. I called and left messages to return my call about the continued slipping to no avail. No one returned my call. In December 2015, I brought it to Jeep Yonkers again to check the transmission. I told him to drive the car daily to feel the problem. They charged me $150 for a software update and again said all fluids were full at that time, and I when I picked the car up after hours, it was immediately slipping. I called this dealer to complain and did not receive a call back. in March 2016, I brought the car to Jeep in Paramus. They charged me $215 to diagnose, and determined I need a new transmission. The warranty has a $150 deductible. I have 77k miles. the jeep technician said my transcooler is leaking, and it would cost $895. The transcooler is apparently what has leaked for some time. Yet no one ever detected low fluids. I am disgusted first by the lack of quality of this Jeep. I am further disappointed by the horrible service I have received from multiple dealers.

  141. I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee overland. My drivers side front suspension makes an annoying Creaking/scraping sound when ever i go over mild bumps or enter a steep incline. I live in a city and it makes the sound a lot. Each time I cringe when i hear it and i am expecting something to fall off one day form being rubbed or whatever too much. The dealership says this is a normal sound, but when i ask why none of the other ones on other corners of the Vehicle make this sound, and why none of my friends that have the same vehicle have this issue, they have no comment. They wont do anything to try to fix it, and say they would only do something if it causes damage. Well i don't want to wait until damage occurs and then causes more issues, and i cant stand this noise when i am driving. If it were "normal" then wouldn't everyone experience this issue. Im not over sensitive, its overly annoying. I like everything else about the jeep so far, but this noise is so annoying that i dont want the car anymore. If they dont fix it im thinking I am trading it in for a BMW which maybe i should have bought to begin with. Its $50k car and i should not cringe several times a day when driving it in very normal conditions. ill gladly pay more money for a car that drives well and doesnt make me cringed every time i i climb a hill, drive over a medium bump, or go over a speed bump (even at 1 mph). This is supposedly a 4 wheel drive "trail rated" potential off road vehicle that should handle bumps, even go rock climbing, and climb steep inclines with ease. I wouldn't dare take this on a trail simply because i would go nuts listening to the annoying creaking noise and fear my suspension will break off.

Has anyone else had suspension issues with the jeep?

Can i somehow make them replace the front suspension before it fails and leaves me stranded, or worse...causes an accident and kills me?

  142. This is the email I just sent to the GM and Assistant GM of Auto Park Chrysler Jeep located at 400 Autopark Blvd,Cary, NC. I'm sure they will not contact me. All they care about is numbers.

Since you apparently have refused to contact me since I first contacted the Jeep Customer Assistance Center on April 18th, I thought I would contact you directly.

As I stated to the Jeep Customer Assistance Center on April 18th, I purchased my 2015 JKU on 09/23/15, after much conversation via email with Jeremy Atkinson. At the time, I was working with a dealership in another location (closer to my home). However, since my spouse and I have purchased a total of 6 vehicles from you, I thought I would reach out to your dealership once again. I am not satisfied with the customer service (or lack thereof) that I have received.

    1. My first complaint is that the UConnect 430 radio was not explained to me during my conversation with Jeremy (other than to say that it would help with the resale value) or when I picked up the Jeep.I recently visited the UConnect website, as I was having trouble getting the UConnect phone/Bluetooth to work and it won’t play my iPhone songs via the USB ports. I decided that I should possibly register in order to receive those features that were not yet working. That is when I emailed the JCAC, only to be told that my does not include UConnect Access or bluetooth. It seems to me that the UConnect 430 is a “dummied-down” version (no better than the 130 or 230 and offers nothing more than a touch screen and a free trial of Sirius XM radio. In fact, I was told by the rep at the JCAC that the voice recognition and phone buttons on my radio are only there, in case I want to add bluetooth capabilities. WHY wasn’t this explained to me prior to me purchasing the vehicle? As the JCAC rep stated, “UConnect is Just A Regular Radio!” I don’t consider it something that adds to the resale value. She asked me if I received my “media booklet” when I purchased the Jeep. Of course I didn’t. I know that this representative contacted your dealership on the 18th and a couple times afterwards and asked that I be contacted via phone and/or email by Jeremy and the Assistant GM. However, I have received neither. I know that my correct phone number and email address are on file.
    2. My second complaint is that, during my negotiations with Jeremy, he stated that he would offer me two years of free oil changes anywhere and 2 more years of free oil changes at your dealership. I asked Jeremy if all four years of oil changes could be done at any dealership. The last message I received from him was, “As for the oil changes I have talked to my service manager and once the deal has cleared he can go into the system and adjust it so I will keep on him about making sure that is taken care of.” However, though I have contacted him twice since then, he still has yet to contact me back to confirm that this has been added into the system.
    3. My third complaint involves items that were not included in my Jeep that should have been. This weekend I decided to open the Sunrider top for the first time. There are 2 straps that should be used to secure the top. These straps were not included.
I guess after the paperwork is signed and the sale is made, the customer is no longer important. Jeremy couldn’t stop emailing me the day he was trying to sell me the Jeep. Now no one wants to talk to me. Explain that.

  144. 2006 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo v6, 3.7 liter

Bought my vehicle in 2008, all service has been kept up and I take very good care of all vehicles that I have purchased. I've never had any major issues with my Grand Cherokee, until I turned 100,251 miles. Then ,I had complete engine failure. My local dealer, outside of Toledo, Ohio,...informed me that my oil pump went out, which caused the engine to tie up and fail. Here's, the problem.....never lost oil pressure, no heating issues,no oil warning light ever came on. Driving down the expressway, I smelled something burning, the engine immediately started missing, ....obviously I pulled off the road instantly. Then, finally the engine light comes on,.....never an oil light. Called a tow truck, and was informed that it was a completely blown engine. The dealership told me they would install a used non-warranted used engine for $4600. The dealership also told me, the years of 2005-2007 for the v6 engine is complete junk. They also informed me that Jeep knows about the engine issues, and won't do a thing about it. So,10 year old vehicle with 100,251 (which is low) is total junk and Jeep does not care?!?! I'm glad to see that Jeep cares about selling vehicles to make money, but has the worst customer service ever. I've called several other Jeep dealerships around the Toledo,Ohio area, and they all say the same thing,"good luck buddy, just buy a new vehicle".

Is there a reason why the Jeep Chrysler Company doesn't give a shit about the everyday working person who works hard for what they have????? And for Jeep to completely not care about the people who buy their vehicles. I bet if the big wigs in their corporate offices had to deal with such problems, something would change. But then again, being an everyday "Joe", I'll never experience the life of being handed brand new corporate cars to drive every year or have a chauffeur driving me around town.

C'mon Jeep, get your shit together,.....not everyone can afford a brand new $40,000 vehicle every couple of years. The "everday" people who buy your vehicles are blue collar people who work hard day in and day out just to pay the bills ,and save some money to take a family vacation once a year. That's what life is all about,....start taking care of your customers like you should.

  145. We have a 1996 Cherokee,a 2011 Cherokee (60,000 actual miles) and bought a new Grand Cherokee in 2004. All 3 of these Jeeps have the very same problem.I took the 96 to a dealer and their Jeep "master technician" said it was defenitley the fuel pump. $400 bucks later and guess what it wasn't the fuel pump. They said they don't know what the problem is. I just took my Grand back to the dealer and they did a pressure test on the fuel pimp and said it's not the fuel pump but they don't know what the problem is. All 3 of these Jeeps have a long cranking time. So, I'm supposed to drive it until it strands me somewhere. Does anyone else have this problem ? We were going to purchase a new Grand in July, but now I really doubt it. What's your problem Jeep ?

  147. My Jeep was special ordered in 2003. At first, we having little problems here ad there and every time we took it back to the dealer, they couldn't find anything wrong. Right after our warranty expired within the year, it kept stalling out on us while we were driving. We couldn't get it to accelerate on the highway and we were always afraid we'd be stuck someplace not near home. We had repairs made on the engine which ran us over 2K dollars, of course not covered what so ever. We lived with the many problems that occurred through time like the window control went on us and a few other issues. The kick in the teeth were the recalls. I'd get a notice about it, call the dealer, which they never had the part (did this 4X) before they finally got the part in. The service was super poor and I just lost so much confidence in them. I wrote and complained to corporate to NO AVAIL. Not even a response like I'm sorry you had to deal with this issue. Poor customer service. I'm strictly a Subaru owner now. We just bought our fourth one. What a difference in service and appreciation. Just saying. I know there are plenty of satisfied customers, I'm just not one of them.
