  1. Zaxby's Headquarters, Please remove your present commercial with the lady breaking dishes and screaming at the top of her lungs. It has to be the most annoying commercial I have ever seen. Love Zaxbys, hate that commercial.

    1. I totally agree. These commercials with the lady from Saturday Night Live are terrible. They actually make me not want to go to Zaxby's. They play all day. It is like torture! Love the restaurant. Hate the commercials!

    3. U damn right shaun morris need to get it together...in fact...HE NEEDS TO GET OUT OF ZAXBYS PERIOD! Harassing crew members for not following his appointed manager who takes 30 minutes to make a damn FRIED HOUSE SALAD.

I never knew all these complaints existed. ZAXBYS BETTER WAKE UP and stop taking people for granted.

  4. worked at Zaxby's for 2 weeks and after working all day on Sunday at Zaxby's in Mableton, Ga I called to see what my schedule was for the next week and they said I was on a 2 week trial and I did not make it so I was not on the schedule. I was suppose to be paid the following Tuesday and waited for the mail and it has not come in 2 weeks now. I went to see about my pay after no mail for 4 days then called and they said that's my problem because they do not control the banks or the mail. After waiting 2 weeks for my pay I REALIZE THEY DO NOT PLAN TO HELP ME so this is my blog and I plan to go to the BBB next and then see if I can get some help from the TV% Action News. I only worked 4 days but time are bad and I expect nothing more thsn my fair pay for those 4 days.

  5. I am a current employee of Zaxbys in Huntsville,Alabama. I am having issue with a manager snapping at me for even the smallest things and there are at least two known others she has been snapping at and causing issues for as well.

She has been talking very badly about me and other co workers to some of the other employees. She has cut my hours very badly. I was working five days a week eleven to four all of those days with the occasional over time and double shifts. But now I am only getting three hours a day and three days a week.
Within a couple of weeks our store is up for a well needed remodel; the working conditions will be improving,as I hope my employment experience will be as well.
I would much appreciate any advice I could get however on how to approach the issue with this said manager.

  6. I worked as a cook at Zaxbys for two months in williamsburg, virginia and it was by far the worst experience of my life. Chris Flannery (General Manager) would constantly distract me from my work by making personal comments about myself. I never provoked anything and never got angry with him. I tried to deal with the bullying as best as i could but it seemed like everyday it would just get worse and worse. He would also snap very quickly over very miniscule things and rules that he didnt even follow himself! For example i would always wear gloves when working with raw chicken and marinade. i personally saw him with my own eyes put his unwashed hands in our buckets of marinated chicken. Some comments i would recieve include calling me a racist and telling other african americans who worked with me that i called them the "N" word, trying to get co-workers to fight me, calling me stupid/slow, skitsofrantic, a stoner (someone who smokes marijuana which i do not) i even told him he could drug test me but refused unless i payed him. I was also asked about my father and i told them about how he is a quantum mechanic at NASA Langley. His response was "your mother must have had an affair with the milk man then since they are not married" i responded by asking him to stop and that i didnt deserve to be talked to like that. This just fueled the fire and made him hawk over me while i was bagging chicken nuggets telling me "are you gonna cry about it pout boy?" i still tried to keep my cool but the next day i arrive in the morning at 9:59 walk to the front to shake hands with the assistant manger Gino (who was always kind and professional), to ask him what i should start prepping. He said to put all the new shipment of boxes in the freezer and i said ok. I walk to the back, put my apron on. By the time i punched my number in it was 10:02. i understand that i should have punched in on the exact time and did apologize. He then began his usual shpeal about how i am so dumb and that if i couldnt stop being nervous around him that i should just leave (his constant bullying would make me nervous and affect my work performance). i tried to explain that to him and told him that its really not necessary to talk to me like that he responded by saying "thats life and if you dont like it then heres the door". sadly i decided that the best decision was to quit and leave since he was causing extreme mental stress and ruined my self-confidence. I hope you corporates at zaxbys read this because that job seriously made me consider suicide. i am not just saying that or exaggerating i would come home almost every day crying because of how horrible he made me feel about myself. Chris Flannery (General Manager) at williamsburg, virginia zaxbys needs some serious reviewing. Thank you for your time and hope you do something about him because he has permanently affected the way i feel about myself

    1. I feel your pain. There's a case going on in Bainbridge, Ga that they manager is treating employees like cramp. I will not go back there again. I will not suggest to anyone to go there, in fact I tell people just how bad the place is. The management people are constantly cutting down, rude talking, and many other things that I heard say to young employees. For what I've seen the manager needs replacing to a more respectable person that knows how to run the place and treat the staff better. Customers do not want to see or hear the over bearing authority. However, the food I can not complain about.

    2. I remember working with you, you were horrible you were never one time, you would stand there and stare at the timers like you were high and you always backed talked management even the owner herself. Funny you say you didn't smoke weed you told us you got popped for a possession of marijuana and when you went to court you told your lawyer you couldn't pass a drug test. On top of that in school you always talked about killing yourself, dude you need serious help.

  9. Zaxby's needs to start giving you what you pay for the salads are expensive..you are now getting half of what you pay for and most of the time they screw that up.

They need to weigh the salad because at 7 dollrs for a salad is bull for what you are getting.

    1. The salads are weighed, 5 oz for the base and 1/4th scoops for all the smaller items (cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, etc)

  11. Zaxbys in Lexington, KY on New Circle Rd is a freaking joke. Meat is always dry and there is never any sauce on the chicken. I took mines back today only to find the manager wasnt there and there was one lonely girl who had to do drive thru, front and go clean the toilets due to a customer complaint. As I left I seen the manager peak from behind the building and then tuck himself inside. That place angered me and I will let everyone I know NOT to go there anymore. My name is SHELIA.....

  12. I visited the Zaxbys in Elizabethtown KY yesterday after church. I ordered a Zaxbys club meal and 15 wings. The menu at the drive thru on the top row listed popular items. I purchased a Boy Scout camp card that offers a free small drink of choice when you purchase one of the popular items. When I arrived at the drive thru window I stated I had a Boy Scout Camp card again which I previously stated when I placed my order. The person at the drive thru stated he could not give me the drink since I did not purchase one of the most popular items. The person that was working at the drive thru clothes was the dirtiest clothes I have ever seen on a restaurant worker in my life. The appearance made my wife and me sick to our stomach he was so dirty. We were literally afraid to eat our food. This is unlike Zaxbys.

  13. I have always loved Zaxby's. Price was right and the portions were fair. Just two weeks ago, I stopped after work late in the evening to order some wings at the Valdosta location on St Augustine. I try to be very frugal with my money. I usually don’t order wings as they are a little pricey. I have been sick with a Sinus/cold and can't really taste anything and I also am trying to avoid fried foods as I want to get at a decent weight. But, sometimes I fight temptation and go for it. So here I am at the speaker placing my order for ten wings. Confirmed order was $6.99 plus tax. I proceed to window to pay and another lady tells me my order is $7.99 plus tax. I asked her to reiterate the total and she did with a smile. “Yes, oh, we went up a dollar tonight”. I thought to myself, wow, this is ridiculous not .25 but a dollar increase. The sign was even advertising the wings for $6.99. I was so disappointed. Even more disappointing was the wings that were so tiny. I usually do not complain. I love Zaxby’s for the great food. But I can not and will not be ordering anymore from your establishment anymore. I thought it was wrong. I needed a really good excuse to stop spending my money for fried food anyway and I found it. Thanks! Wish your company all the best.

  15. I work at the Zaxbys in Blue Ridge Georgia.Me, along with a few other employees have been harassed by the current General Manager Randy Thomas. Randy has told ALL employees that if they are a minute late they will be fired. If they were held in traffic, he doesn't care, if they were in a wreck they better take a picture, if they had a flat tire they better take a picture, if they were in a funeral procession, they better take a picture, if they were held up because of a wreck they weren't involved in, they better take a picture (WHICH IS ILLEGAL). He has made many employees cry because he has called them worthless and useless to Zaxbys. He has threatened to slap one of the female managers, he also changes the managers schedules after they are posted. He also shows favoritism to two employees, allowing them to have EVERY weekend off regardless if someone else needs it, they get it no matter what. And yesterday, Saturday December 15th, 2012 we had our annual Christmas Party which is never a mandatory thing, Randy made it mandatory but told us that we better not clock in. Also, each employee is supposed to pay for the food that they eat, the rest of us do, but he doesn't. He gets angry if the the other 3 managers have to use the restroom or want to eat, he goes ballistic. Something needs to be done about this man, soon or Zaxbys will have many harassment suits on them.

  16. I just went through the drive-thru in Lake City, FL and ordered 3 chicken fingers and fries. I had to order the chicken fingers as individual pieces and when I got my order I did not have any sauce in the bag. I asked for sauce and they said it did not come with what I ordered. They said it only came with a meal. I told them they had to be joking, but they were serious. I said I had ordered 3 chicken fingers and I thought the sauce should come with them, but they said I should have read the menu board in the drive-thru. I think it is really ridiculous that I had to pay $.25 for sauce when I had already paid $4.45 for the chicken and fries. I don't go there but a couple of times a year because their food is so expensive, so I guess I will be going there a lot less now.

  17. I had worked at the zaxbys in simpsonville, south carolina and that was the worst first job experience in my LIFE!!! I would have nightmares about my job, I was a senior in high school taking care of my entire family. Work was over whelming at first, and then it turned to be extremely crazy. I dedicated 6 days a week at zaxbys while I was in school. I worked four times harder than any employee (including managers). i would get out of school at 2:10 and would be scheduled to come in at 2. Obviously I would be late coming to work, managers would fuss about me being late. I was a A B Honor roll student and me working at zaxbys made my grades slip to D's and F's. I also was forced to get over stuff, people would quit and I had no choice but to work my and their shift cause the manager would make it my problem. I trained new employees, handled customer complaints (99.8%) of the time when it was supposed to be the managers job. I only called out twice of the 7 months I worked there, one for my little brother being born and the other because my car was in the shop. The second time I called out they acted like I call out every day of the week and had the worst attitude. I always closed and would not get home untill 12am. Non of the other teens that never did anything when the worked close, and we all went to the same school!! One time when I closed dishes was all over the kitchen, i was trying to get my work done but a manager playing in the kitchen and PURPOSELY put a card board in my face, I tried to dodge it but slipped on a refrigerator shelf that was in greasy mucky water covering the back floor. I slipped and fell on my bottom, NO WORKERS ACCIDENT WAS REPORTED!! I should have sued, since my tail bone had hurt for weeks. I Barely saw my family, since I worked all day every day. When I kept making F's and falling alseep in ALL my classes, i felt that it was time for me to put my two weeks notice in. When I did the manager DID NOT want me to leave, instead she said, "I rather compromise with you, than for you to leave." The deal was for her to cut my hours, since I worked way to much and overly hard. That same week, 2 people quit and instead of ASKING me if I could work their shifts that they were supposed to work, the manager said, "Oh I don't care [my name] can work their hours, WHEN I ALREADY WAS WORKING THOSE DAYS ALREADY. I had worked 13 hours in one day and begged for a break, since nobody was going to get one since we were to busy. There has been times where I ran drive thru, up front cash registers, expedited, and cleaned the dinning room ALL AT THE SAME TIME on a busy day, because NOBODY including managers WANTED TO HELP UPFRONT. The following sunday after me and the managers compromise, I had enough! It was Supper Bowl Sunday and catering orders was flying out of drive thru's window. When the manager would mess up or forget something in regular drive thru orders she would yell at ME for stuff she was doing. I was the best worker she had on her team, came to work on time, always stayed extra, never said nothing when people was eating food. The compromise was to cut my hours, but all she did was triple them. I walked out cause I was tried of everything. I had already had passed a second interview with a retail company anyways. Before the retail manager had hired me he asked me what had happened with zaxbys because they gave them a bad reference saying I walked out. I explained what happen and as a manager my zaxbys manager was supposed to have told them I tired to put my two weeks in but was denied of it, but no zaxbys manager made it seem like I just walked out. I hate zaxbys after everything they put me through, they will never find another hard worker like I was compared to other high schoolers. I was hired at the retail company, and has been working there for a year now, I am now on my second raise, and hoping to move along as an assistant manager. : )

    1. I can understand how you felt and dealing with a manager. My daughter worked at local Subway and her manager was the worst. All she did was complain, so after one month I went to the drive through and handed him her t-shirt and told HIM myself she quit. I also wanted to make a complaint about Zaxby's. After a day shopping at the Mall yesterday my daughter and I stopped by Zaxby's on Woodruff Rd. I ordered the new Cobb Salad thinking they had added fresh corn. To my disappointed when I arrived home and was preparing to eat it I did not see any corn but ate most of it instead. This new salad on the menu indicated the costs is $6.79 plus tax. I was really disappointed by don't know how to complain to the headquarters. Thanks for listening.

    2. If Woodruff Rd, you are talking about is in Greenville, I was working there around that time. I had quit a few months later, but I used to think the Cobb salad had corn it in, but it doesn't. It just has the chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers, bacon , cheese and a sliced egg. I understand the disappointment though. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding especially if I was working that day, I would have told you! :)

    3. Looks like Zaxby;s practices this type of crap no matter where you are. I work harder than most of the managers and employees myself. I have one day off a month. I take care of a sick relative when I am not at work. The managers hide in the office half the time. They fired the only GM who gave a damn and hired one that could care less about the employees. And is now going after the harder workers.

I never call out. Have been late maybe once or twice due to a family emergency. I do the work of four people and efficiently. But they don't care. 6 people have up and quit in the last week due to the new General and former and new Assistant Manager. Morale is so low now that the customers are starting to notice. The company is going to drive itself into the ground with the laws they continue to break (harrassment, hostile work environment, handing out free food, employee retaliation to open door policy). I have NEVER worked for a company so horrible. It used to be a great place to work, now it is a bloody nightmare.

  19. The staff at the Zaxby's on Hwy 77 in Panama City, FL were extremely rude and confrontational today at 2:00 pm. They did not provide any utensils or sauce with the chicken bites meal and when I asked for a fork the manager flipped it onto the counter without a word. When I asked for sauce she said (with her back to me) extra sauce is a quarter. Impatient, I flipped a quarter onto the counter at which point she said "You don't have to throw it at me, sir!" I didn't finish my meal and I won't be back.

  20. I am employed at a zaxby's in Knoxville, tn. It has been numerous events and occasions that were terrible experiences. From our GM quiting and assistance managers quiting while bussines is in operation, from profane arguments amongst managers which was on the brink of physical fights, from myself (which has been there over a year and has over 3 years experince) being told that I make minuim wage is cause when I was hired that a mistake in my wage was made because I was hired the same time as a number of employee's and no attention was notice to my prior experience. I have never been trained nor evaluated properly but I am obligated to train new employees which make more than me with no or less experience than myself. I endulge rude, criticing, insensitve, sexual and profane managers on a daily. One of our managers name Heaven (last name unknown) has had intament relations with employees one especially with another woman manager in which they were caught in a bathroom stall where a customer and daughter witnessed them makeing out. They are now openly in a relationship due to the fact the other manager quit in the middle of bussines hours. Not to mention this particular manager was late for opening the building approximently a hour and half with myself and other employees waiting on her arrival.policys and procedures are enforced in a hypocrite fashion. Our last corporate inspection resulted in a score of 33. Our corporate inspection before hand was penalized heavy as well. In particular the inspector found outside eggs and sausage on the grill that the manager Heaven agreed and invited the idea with a employee the day before and was not even on the property when the inspector came. I have ample amounts of stories to tell about this franchise in knoxville, tn but I feel as if this is long enough and from experience from this nothing will be done. So with that being said I have "six" children and being over worked and under paid. To whom could I address this to get some results of my wages?
    Thank you snd God bless....

  21. Il ave. This has to be the most unprofesional manager crew I've ever worked with outside of our new GM. I am managed by a woman named Heaven (last name unknown).she is one of the most awkward people to work with.No matter how good of a job you do or extra effort you give its never enough. She dates employees and brags about sexual experiences in a cooler. She been caught with another woman manager (which quit in the middle of a shift and had myself and other employees waiting a hour and a half to open the building for the morning) by a customer and her daughter in a bathroom stall during bussines hours on the clock. She daily lets her boyfriend parlay in the lobby before we open and serves him free food. We have failed two corporate inspections under her watch. The first one a inspector found eggs frieing on the toast grill which an employee the day before told the manager named Heaven the day before she would like to do, she ok'd it to happen. That was major reason while that inspection was failed along with a list of other things. The second inspection we made a 33 under her shift and watch. She continues to not w wear gloves and hat in which she picks food up with raw hands and have hair fall into proplr food. She also has a habbit I f chewing gum over peoples food. Which I find unacceptable. I've worked here for a year now. I've experienced and witnessed all sorts of things from our GM quiting during bussines hours to my pay being under waged. I make $7.25 a hour with 3 years experience. I am obligated to train new employees with little or nor no experience that make more than me. I've never been trained by a manager, never had a evaluation, and every time I say something about it I'm told "I can be quite or find another job". I have 6 kids I take care of on these minimum wages. And also tolerate the disrespect and mistreatment I recieve from my manager except for our new GM. What can I do or whom can I address with theses ongoing problems?

P.s I also have the manager named Heaven on camera chewing gum over food and dealing with food with bare hands.

  22. I am now a former employee that has had several ongoing problems with my GM and AM and need to speak to someone regarding my situation. i will be contacting a lawyer in the next week or so to file a lawsuit against both GM and AM and the company if my problem is not addressed asap! it has caught my attention on this site that several people have had issues and different stores with their managers as well. i have a zero tolerance for this kind of situation and will be taking further action in my case. it is completely unacceptable that corporate would allow this kind of behavior. cutting hours without warning, just because they dont like you. writing you up because you defended yourself with a manager was harassing you and threatening employees. making some employees lives hell purposely because they dont like them. this behavior should be unacceptable! i have contacted the labor board and they will be investigating. i do not use drugs, i showed up to work every scheduled day unless i was ill. i had never been in any kind of trouble, never stolen, never even talked back. but i was written up for something that happened outside of work involving me and my room mate (who also worked there) because the manager kept harassing us through out the day after i told them i was sick and needed medical attention! its completely unacceptable and i will be pushing this to the furthest extent possible. me and two other former employees for more than just one situation!

    3. The reason Zaxbys "writes" you up is because they do not and will not pay unemployment. They will write you up for anything. When its time for unemployment, they will dump your file with the meaningless write-ups on the unemployment office. And that's all it takes. Its sad. The best thing for everybody here is.... 23. I am sadden when reading these. It is sad but true. I am hoping to get a job out of a Zagbys now. There is a man who is working and harrasing other women. This one woman he harasses on a regular basis. He has made comments that come close to threats. This woman reported him once to upper management only to get in trouble for it. The next day the manager and a manager of another store pulled her out and generally told her she was wrong for reporting being harrassed. Even though they both witnessed this and did nothing the day before. We all were made aware of how this woman can not do anything as she will get in trouble. yesterday she was pulled outside because this guy decided that he wanted to let her know he has management on his side. He is making all kinds of negative insulting comments and threats to this woman and management either ignores it or tells the woman it is her fault. This man is threatening other employees but not to the same degree as he does with this woman. i am thinking it is because she is an older woman. He harrasses the other women on a regular basis. He tries to involve anyone in the harrassing ways anyway he can. It is sad noone can do anything . I am hoping I find another job before his attention is turned on me...... I do not want any part of this

We lost and awesome manager because of her. I'm afraid we are going to go under because she is such a poor manager that the kitchen crew is either getting fired for no real reason or just quitting because of how terrible this manager is. 34. I am from New Bern, NC and my child works at zaxby's. The store manager, and asst. manager are bringing down that company. Like they have there picks of people. The asst. manager is walking around smelling all the young ladies hair and they are feeling uncomfortable about the situation. But they are scared to say anything cause they don't to lose there job. Instead of listening to both sides of a story they only listen to one and they stay on that side. The employee in that store is very unhappy. The smile that they use to have is gone. I really think that you need to check on that store cause something just ain't right. I will not come back into that store until the smile on the employees come back. And the only way that is going to happen if you get rid of Amanda, Scott, and Todd they ruining the store.

  35. It's so very sad to know that managers who are managing our youth feel they are given the right and privelege to treat our kids like they are worthless. They are verbally abusive and at times can be physically destuctive by throwing things by having tantrums. What a great experience for our kids to have as first time jobs. Its very disappointing to know this up close and personal by a chain that I once enjoyed going to.

My very responsible first time job holder has great work ethic and has been treated poorly and with such distaste that I have called the general manager in two occasions. He has gone back to my minor employed working first experience in the work force young adult and told them to "man up" and "take care of their own business " well Mr. Manager ...you seem to have forgotten to how to manage your minor employees with respect and fairness.

ZAXBYS along with your Franchise owners....you wonder why you have such a high turnover rate???? hello??? Maybe you need to invest some time in listening to what's really going on in your stores from the employees that are leaving and not the managers making up stories to cover it up.

I have called twice now to get the Franchise owners number but they won't give it to me.
Well when I call the Department of labor and Board of Health - MAYBE then someone will listen to what has been taking place to my first time employeed minor by a once respected company that the Franchise we used to visit in SC WILL NO LONGER RECEIVE ANY OF MY MONEY.

    1. Do you know how much Zaxby's managers make? They make about as much as your "youth". Your "youth" is only allowed to work 15 to 20 hours a week. The "managers" are stuck working. What kind of quality do you think you will get when you ask someone to work 50 to 60 hours a week and YOU STILL JUST HAVE ENOUGH TO PAY YOUR BILLS! You get the bottom of the barrel "fast-food" managers. JOKE!

  36. I am a former hired Assistant Manager from Locust Grove, GA. I was hired the beginning of October of 2013 and then came the 6 week mark to know the procedures and policy's. I did not retain the information and the importance until the 6th week due to lack of a formulated structured training and I believe that the store was still using the older techniques of the ZLC training compared to hands on in the BOH for the prep. The old way of training which I was informed by the GM was have new employees study the ZLC only and they found out that did not work. Me, I am a person that learns better with hands on and reading the information first. Then when you are put in the BOH you see things being done the opposite of what you are being trained. Being trained as an Assistant Manager you ask questions of do they know how to prep Cole Slaw and you get the response of yes and then ask them why they keep making it wrong? They reply they have to get certain things completed by a certain time and they take short cuts to accomplish that. I am a very hand on manager and I want to be in with the workers. I was asked many times to keep the conversation down to a nothing while prepping. My thing is if you are trained correct and monitored to ensure the prototypical is correct then there should be no reason for certain things in the BOH. Most Assistant Managers stand around except for the GM and AGM. Things are not that closely monitored to prevent cross contamination during prepping and cooking. I was put in the kitchen while the District Manager was at the store and I was not thinking clearly and knew by doing something that could cross contaminate was wrong and was stopped by the GM. That should be always going on and people when they get to be the Assistant Manager. Certain managers feel that since they have this title they are better than the employees and me I think the other way and want to get in with the employees and show hands on to them for them to learn the correct way. So I was given a choice to stay and be an hourly employee for about $2.50 less than what I was making and the hours went from working about 50 hours a week down to about and if 28 hours a week. How are you supposed to live from that? I think training should be longer and they should have a trainer dedicated for training at on location store since they are all set up the same. I am very disappointed with the training given from Zaxby's and how you can ask the GM questions and sometimes they are not available. Then you are given incorrect information from you GM about pay days. Zaxby's is a great and growing company and moving to the west coast but they need to address certain things from the District Manager to the GM down in management. People learn differently and should be allowed to learn on a person to person scale. That is why they are always hiring Assistant Managers and staffs they need to change to prototypical of how they are training and delivering the information.

    1. No, caffeinated drinks cost money-buy one if you want caffeine. The "35 hours"- good luck. You can thank Obamacare for that one. Zaxby's has to provide you with health insurance if you work 30 hours a week (the new fulltime). They wont. You have been working for Zaxby's for 6 years??? YOU should be a manager. Obviously, I see, your bitchin and complainin is probably why you are NOT the manager there. So shut up and clean them friers, boy!

  39. I know someone that works at Zaxby's in Athens Al I can't say who they are because they will be fired and that person has bills to pay and a family to take care of. This store is a major joke. They have to many managers and to many employees that they cut some employees hours and expect them to support their kids on 15 to 20 hours a week and only making minumum wage. But other employees who are the managers "favorite" get as many hours they want and have no kids to support. This one guy gets weekends off every weekend so he can watch football but says he goes to church and everyone that its a lie. And is studing to be a manager when all he does is stand around now and except people to do his job for him and has been there for less then a year. A manager named Katie is the biggest joke. She talks to the employees and other managers like they are dogs and let's them know that she is better then they are unless they kiss her ass. If this person I know could get another job in this small town they would and believe me they are trying. These managers at this store in Athens Alabama really need better training on how to be a manager and need to take a course on how to deal and talk with people they are managing and that its not who kisses your ass that should get promoted but the better person for the job should.

  42. After reading all of the negative issues that occurs at the various Zaxby's locations its not surprising with my situation. Yesterday, at the Zaxby's between Sonic and Ryan's in Orangeburg, SC I purchased a boneless chicken meal with a side order of white cheese bites. Service was great. When I arrived at home and began eating my food I noticed that there was an burnt after taste of everything except the French fries. So I called only to inform the manager that possibly the cooking oil that they use is old and needs changing. Well....the young lady answered the phone with proper telephone etiquette. I asked to speak with the manager she said please hold.....well after about 3 minutes I hung up and redialed and again she properly answered the phone. I told her that I was waiting to speak with the manager but no picked up.....again she said hold on please.......well after 6 minutes I again redialed and after she thanked me for calling Zaxby's I then informed her that I will be contacting corporate office because of the poor customer service I received on the phone. She then began to explain that the manager was busy....I interrupted her telling that even if he was busy she could have let me know, not knowing if I myself was someone from corporate. She then asked if I was and if I wanted to speak with the manager I then told her I will be contacting corporate. Funny how all of a sudden she's desperate to get the manager on the phone....when said please hold on....I hung up.

  46. I am a frequent customer at the Zaxby's in Bartram Park Jacksonville Florida. I always use the drive threw and never go sit inside and eat. Today, I ordered the Wings & Things and an extra side of fries. I make it all the way home and don’t have my side of fries (I usually check my bag before leaving the drive threw, but I didn’t this time). I’m kind of glad I didn’t check it after what I saw when I walked into Zaxby's. First, when I went up to the counter and told the girl they didn’t give me my side of fries and showed her the receipt, she stood there and looked at me like "And you want me to do what..?" I even told the girl the two people's name who took my order. Still, she looked confused. I don’t know if Zaxby's just hires uneducated people or she just had something wrong with her...but it was just pissing me off more. What happened to customer satisfaction?? Secondly, everyone knows that Zaxby's has an open "window" to the kitchen where you can see the cooks. Well, there were two gentlemen back there and only one of them was wearing gloves. The guy wearing the gloves was holding the box and the other guy without gloves picked up two huge handfuls of fries and put them in the box. I was shocked. I could not believe I just witnessed that. That is a HUGE HEALTH HAZORD. I told the girl I did not want those fries and to get me new ones. And the guys said "These are fresh fries". They obviously didn’t hear me because that statement was completely unrelated to what I said. So I told them, "I don’t want those fries, you just picked them up with your bare hands. I want the guy wearing the gloves to touch my food, and don’t want you (the guy without gloves) to get anywhere close to it." They didn’t even apologize or say anything back. RUDE. This is VERY disturbing. How many times has that guy or employees at Zaxby's touched my food every time I’ve before there? You know how many could get sick?? Even though the Zaxby's is right down from my work, I will never eat there again. Is there not a manager on duty who should be overseeing this? I am so grossed out now. Not only are the managers at fault for this, but corporate is too. Corporate hired poor managers, and those poor managers hired those employees. Yall need to make sure these managers are getting properly trained and know the policies and regulations of Zaxby's. I am very very disappointed..

    1. First of all...In April 2014, gloves were optional. That's why some wear them, some don't. So after complaining over and over, those "uneducated" people MOST LIKELY did touch your fries. But not in a manner of customer "satisfaction". I want to make one comment to EVERYONE----DON"T BITCH AND DISRESPECT the underpaid employees working in high heat and stressfull "timed" environments RIGHT BEFORE THEY MAKE YOUR FOOD. Idiots! Most of these people don't care if they get fired. So what do you think they're going to do to your food???

  51. I have eaten at Zaxby's for years. Several times a week as I love their salads. Tonight I was tired and it was late so at 8:30 I went to my usual Zaxby's and ordered my usual salad. When I got home and opened it, there was no chicken on my salad. It's now almost 9. I went back, went inside the store which I normally don't, and was sickened by the sight. There was a flood on the floor in the kitchen with all kinds of debris in it. There were at least 4 employees, none of whom spoke despite my being the only person in there. Finally someone came over and I told him what happened and asked for extra chicken for my inconvenience. A small thing to ask since they come with very little on the fried house anyway. He took it to someone who I guess was the manager. The manager looked at it and in a loud voice says "oh..there's no chicken on there". He comes over to me, says nothing. So I ask him to give me extra chicken. He says he can't do that. That he can remake it (which means toss chicken on the premade salad) but he can't give me extra. I said excuse me? I just had to turn around and come back here after getting home and you can't add a little extra chicken? Again he said no. So I told him to give me my money back. I stood there in silence while he figured out how to do it, while he and the employees screamed back and forth to throw it out. He gives me my money back, counting it out I guess to impress me. I still wait in silence for a simple "I'm sorry for the inconvenience". But nothing. As I turn to walk away, he tells me to have a wonderful night. I said I would after I got my dinner.
I have literally spent thousands at this specific location and am appalled at the filth and the arrogance of this staff. I will never be back there. I'd rather go across the street to homophobic chik-fil-a where the manager did, guess what...apologized because he was fixing his register when I drove up. This was the Zaxby's in Tucker on Hugh Howell.

They were in small cups w/ lids and I rubbed my finger across the inside of the lid to taste them. ARE YOU READY FOR THIS??

  54. I had the misfortune of going to Zaxby's (Williamsburg, VA) for lunch on August 2, 2014 and had the worst dining experience in all of my 62 years. I ordered the 10 piece traditional wings with the ranch sauce. The wings were clearly overcooked or had sit under the heat lamp for a very long time--they were very hard. Even the fleshy part of the drummette was hard and dry. I took them back to the counter and asked for another order of wings. The second order was just like the first, so I took them back and asked for a refund. The assistant manager, Gino Tambellini, came to the cash register to do the refund transaction. He did the transaction and had me to sign the receipt. I stood there for a few moments and informed the assistant manager ,that he did not return my credit card, at which time he pulled my credit card out of his pocket. I was absolutely appalled at the fact that he had put my credit card in his pocket. I know for a fact that this is not proper protocol, which the proper protocol would have been to return my card as soon as it was swiped. If I had thought that he had already given me my credit card back and walked away, he would have had my credit card in his possession without my knowledge. In a place like Williamsburg, VA, with a lot of retired and elderly people, I wonder how many times this has happened without the people realizing it. There is no way my credit card should have ended up in his pocket. Not only that, he didn't bother to apologize. I think you need to really look at your management team. I'm done with Zaxby's. I will never go there again. Sorry to say it looks like Gino Tambellini, your assistant manager at the Williamsburg, VA location is a somewhat shady character. I will never ever go to any Zaxby's again. The food was lousy and your management staff was circumspect to say the least.
